ITO전극위의 Hetero형 폴리피리딘Ru착체 LB막의 표면측정과 전기화학적 감광특성 (Photoelectrochemical and Microscopic Studies in Hetero Type LB Films of Polypyridine Ru Complexes on ITO Electrodes)

  • The basic electrochemical and photochemical behavior of ultrathin mono- and hetero-type LB film of amphiphilic Ru bipyridine complex adsorbed on ITO electrode by the Langmuir- Blodgett(LB) method as monolayer and alternating multilayer state. With theoretical equation of cyclic voltammetry for redox species, the cyclic voltammogram were simulated successfully taking account the interaction parameters. We could fit almost all measured voltammograms with k$^{\circ}$=72s$\^$-1/, ${\alpha}$$\sub$a/=0.44, ${\alpha}$$\sub$c/=0.54, $\Gamma$$\sub$T/=1.4${\times}$10$\^$-10/, k=0.015s$\^$-1/ values. The AFM images of mono and hetero type LB film surfaces on ITO were also studied.

  • The positive active material for polymer film battery was prepared by using Polyphenylenediamine(PPD) synthesized in our lab. and 2.5-dimercapto-1, 3, 4-thiadiazole(DMcT) in various mixture ratio. The transference measurement of surface morphology and thermal stability of prepared composite film was carried out by using SEM and TGA, respectively. Electrocyhemical property and electrical conductivity of composite film were also measured by using cyclic voltammetry and four-probe method in dry box, respectively. The thermal stability of prepared composite film is more than 20$0^{\circ}C$. The electrical conductivity of composite film increased and showed the highest value(about 3 S/cm)when doped at 0.4% LiClO$_4$solution. And we could confirm that DMcT effect on reactiviation of PPD through cyclic voltammogram.

Chemical Properties of Co(II) Compound Containing Endocrine Disrupter, Bis-Phenol A

  • The chemical behavior and properties on the redox state of environmental pollutant has been investigated by electrochemical methods. We carried out to measure the variations in the redox reaction of differential pulse polarogram and cyclic voltammogram. The results observed the influences on redox potential and current of various factors with temperature and pH. These were established factors as the effect of the redox reaction. It can be clearly recognized that the electrode reaction are from qusi-reversible to irreversible processes. Also, it was mixing with reaction current controlled. The bits-phenol A in the waste water was made to compound with cobalt ion and it take away from the separation into compound. The $Co(BPA)_2$ compound was not found to be dissociation in waste water. However, this compound is avery unstable(K=1.02) and for a while, it was to be a dissociation. Therefore, we believed that it was likely to a toxic substance.

  • Polypyrrole(PPy) nanotubules were formed within template pores by chemical synthesis using $FeCl_3$ as an oxidant. The oxidation peak of PPy nanotubules in the cyclic voltammogram was observed at about 2.8V and 3.3V vs. $Li/Li^+$, while in the case of PPy film, that was observed at about 3.0V. It suggests that the electron hopping on the main chain of PPy nanotubules was improved. When the PPy nanotubules was used to a cathode of lithium secondary battery, we obtained discharge capacity as much as 27 mAh/g, and initial coulomb efficiency by 90%. We expect that the capacity can be improved by further study.

  • The cis-hex-3-ene-1,5-diynyl-bridged diiron compound 3, [(η$^{5}$ - $C_{5}$ M $e_{5}$ ) Fe(dppe)]$_2$($\mu$-C≡C-CH=CH-C≡C), have been prepared and characterized by cyclic voltammetry(CV), and electronic spectroscopy (UV-VIS and near-IR, NMR). From the results, compound 3 show two well resolved, single-electron, reversible oxidation waves by CV, and comproportionation constant(Kc) calculated from the CV data for compound 3. The Mixed-valence (MV) radical cation 3$^{+}$ show strong absorptions in the near IR, 1586 nm, and this band is more readily assigned as MV $\pi$-$\pi$ band of delocalized complex (Robin-Day Mixed-valence Class III), and the $H_{ab}$ , effective coupling parameter are most consistent with electronic delocalization.

  • [Li,La]$TiO_3$ 코팅용액의 pH를 조절하여 이에 따른 코팅된 $Li[Ni_{0.35}Co_{0.3}Mn_{0.35}]O_2$ 양극활물질의 전기화학적 특성을 관찰하였다. 산화물인 양극분말은 접촉하고 있는 용액의 pH에 따라 표면 전하를 띄게 되는데 양이온인 코팅물질을 균일하게 반응시키기 위해서는 적절한 pH 조절을 통해 양극분말 표면을 음전하 상태로 조절해 주는 것이 필요하다. SEM, TEM 분석을 통해 코팅용액의 pH에 따른 코팅층의 형상변화를 관찰하였으며 다양한 전류밀도로 충전과 방전을 실시하여 코팅용액의 pH에 따른 방전용량, 사이클 특성, 고율특성을 분석하였다. 임피던스잴 cyclic voltammogram 측정을 통해 코팅용액의 pH에 따른 코팅층의 내부저항 변화를 관찰하였으며 이것을 전기화학적 특성과 연관됨을 확인하였다.

  • Citrate process로 제조한 $La_{1-x}Ca_xCoO_3$에서 Ca이 20mole% doping된 perovskite oxide가 산소환원반응에 대해 가장 높은 전류밀도와 specific activity를 보여주었으며 cyclic voltammogram에서 carbon만으로 제조된 전극에서보다 carbon과 Perovskite oxide를 혼합한 전극에서 높은 산소흡착/탈착전류를 보였다. 입자크기분포와 소결효과에 의해 $900^{\circ}C$, 5시간 공기중에서 소결한 $La_{0.8}Ca_{0.2}CoO_3$가 산소환원반응에 대한 전기화학적 촉매특성이 우수하였다.

Effect of Annealing Heat Treatment to Characteristics of AlDC8 (Al-Si-Cu) Alloy

  • ALDC8 (Al-Si-Cu) alloy has been often corroded with pattern of intergranular corrosion in corrosive environments. Thus, in order to improve its corrosion resistance, the effect of annealing heat treatment to corrosion resistance and hardness was investigated with parameters of heating temperatures such as $100^{\circ}C$, $200^{\circ}C$, $300^{\circ}C$, $400^{\circ}C$ and $500^{\circ}C$ for 1hr. The hardness was varied with annealing temperature and slightly decreased with annealing heat treatment. However, the relation between annealing temperature and hardness agreed not well each other. Corrosion potential was shifted to noble direction and corrosion current density was also decreased with increasing annealing temperature. Moreover, both AC impedance at 10 mHz and polarization resistance on the cyclic voltammogram curve were also increased with increasing annealing temperature. Furthermore, intergranular corrosion was somewhat observed in non heat treatment as well as annealing temperatures at $100^{\circ}C$, $200^{\circ}C$ and $300^{\circ}C$, while, intergranular corrosion was not nearly observed at annealing temperature of $400^{\circ}C$, $500^{\circ}C$. Consequently, it is considered that the annealing heat treatment of ALDC8 alloy may be an available method not only to inhibit its intergranular corrosion but also to improve its corrosion resistance.

불소전해용 양극탄소전극의 전극특성에 미치는 첨가 결합제의 영향 (Effects of Additive Binder Contents on Electrode Properties of Carbon Anode for Fluorine Electrolysis)

  • 결합제인 coal tar pitch와 petroleum cokes를 주원료로 결합제 함량을 변화시켜 불소 전해용 탄소 전극을 제조한 후 결합제 함량의 변화가 전극특성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 탄소 전극의 특성 조사는 1mM의 $[Fe$(CN)_6$]^{3-}$/$[Fe$(CN)_6$]^{4-}$가 첨가된 0.5M $K_2SO_4$용액에서의 cyclic voltammogram 거동, 기계적 강도, 그리고 $KF{\cdot}2HF$ 용액에서의 전기화학적 거동을 통하여 평가되었으며 이 결과 40 wt%의 결합제가 첨가된 경우 제일 양호한 전기특성을 나타내었다. 이러한 양호한 전극특성은 탄소전극 표면에 생성된 기공이 적절하게 분포하여 실질적으로 전극의 비표면적을 향상시켰기 때문이다.

  • 본 연구에서는 바이오칩 등에 응용 가능한 전도성 고분자 필름을 제조하기 위해 3-triophene acetic acid을 선택하여, 쉽게 전기적으로 산화되어 전기적 활성을 나타내는 고분자들을 형성하였다. 3-Thiophene acetic acid에 있는 카르복실기의 보호기들은 solid state에서 쉽게 제거되어질 수 있고, 그 결과 반응성 카르복실기가 전기적 활성을 나타내는 고분자 표면 위에 재생되어질 수 있었다. 즉, 카르복실기의 보호를 통한 전기중합과 뒤이은 보호기의 제거로 반응성인 카르복실기를 갖는 새로운 고분자 담체를 제조할 수 있었고, 기존의 방법으로 합성한 macromonomer를 필름 표면에 도입하여 전기적 활성을 나타내며 동시에 고분자 전해질이 도입된 전도성 고분자 필름을 얻었다. 합성한 전도성 단량체들과 macromonomer의 도입여부는 FT-IR과 $^1H-NMR$ 및 ESCA측정으로 확인하였고, 전극표면에 형성된 필름들의 형태는 SEM을 통해서 관찰하였다. 전기적 활성은 cyclic voltammogram(CV)을 통하여 확인하였으며, 얻어진 고분자 필름들은 0.7~0.9 V의 영역에서 전형적인 poly(3-alkylthiophene)의 전기 화학적 거동을 나타내었다.
