A New Framework of 6lowpan node for Neighboring Communication with Healthcare Monitoring Applications

  • The proposed technique uses cyclic frame structure, where three periods such as beacon period (BP), mesh contention access period (MCAP) and slotted period (SP) are in a data frame. This paper studies on a mechanism to allow communication nodes (6lowpan) in a PAN with different logical channel for global healthcare applications monitoring technology. The proposed super framework structure system has installed 6lowpan sensor nodes to communicate with each other. The basic idea is to time share logical channels to perform 6lowpan sensor node. The concept of 6lowpan sensor node and various biomedical sensors fixed on the patient BAN (Body Area Network) for monitoring health condition. In PAN (hospital area), has fixed gateways that received biomedical data from 6lowpan (patient). Each 6lowpan sensor node (patient) has IP-addresses that would be directly connected to the internet. With the help of IP-address service provider can recognize or analyze patient data from all over the globe by the internet service provider, with specific equipments i.e. cell phone, PDA, note book. The NS-2.33 result shows the performance of data transmission delay and data delivery ratio in the case of hop count in a PAN (Personal Area Networks).

끓는점 오름에 대한 내용표상화(Content Representation) 활동에서 나타난 예비교사의 PCK 특징 (Characteristics of Pre-service Teachers' PCK in the Activities of Content Representation of Boiling Point Elevation)

  • 이 연구는 끓는점 오름에 대한 내용표상화 활동과 모의수업 실행을 통해서 예비교사의 PCK를 분석하였다. 예비교사의 지식을 PCK 요소에 따라 분석한 결과, 대부분의 예비교사는 끓는점 오름에 대한 개념적인 이해를 중시하였는데, 일부는 끓는점 오름 현상을 과학적인 시각으로 이해하고, 수식을 도구로 사용하며, 실생활에 적용되는 경험을 통해 학습 동기를 얻게하는 과학 교수 지향도 보였다. 예비교사는 끓는점 오름에 관하여 가르쳐야 할 중요한 내용의 대부분을 개념 이해를 위해 습득해야 할 지식으로 제시했으며, 과학적 사고나 탐구능력 신장을 위한 내용은 나타나지 않았다. 또한 교과서 내용의 수준과 전개 순서에 의존하는 경향을 보였으며 일부는 교과서 편집상 강조되어있는 용어나 자료를 학습할 내용으로 여기거나, 예제 문제의 풀이를 학습 목표로 보는 경우도 있었다. 학생 이해에 대한 지식은 부족한 것으로 나타났는데, 실제 교수 경험이 없는 예비교사들은 자신의 학습 경험을 바탕으로 학생 수준을 간접적으로 이해하려고 시도하므로, 예비교사교육과정에서 오개념 자료 등을 적극적으로 활용할 필요가 있다. 교수 전략과 평가에 대한 지식은 다른 요소에 비해 피상적으로 표현되었는데, 목표와 연계된 방법을 고민하기 보다는 순환학습과 발견학습 같은 모형의 적용만을 언급하거나 일반적인 평가 방법을 나열하는데 그쳤다.

  • The polymer composites contain numerous internal boundaries and its structural elements have different responses and different resistances under the same service environment. Fatigue phenomenon is much more complex in composites than homogeneous materials. An understanding of the fracture behavior of polymer composite materials subjected to constant and cyclic loading is necessary for predicting the life time of structures fabricated with polymers. There is a need to acquire a better understanding of the fatigue performance and failure mechanisms of composites under such conditions. Therefore, in this study the analyses of fiber orientation and fracture mechanism for low cycle fatigue crack have been studied by SEM and LM for observing the ultrathin sections.

역전파신경회로망을 이용한 피로손상모델링에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fatigue Damage Modeling Using Back-Propagation Neural Networks)

  • It is important to evaluate fatigue damage of in-service material in respect to assure safety and remaining fatigue life in structure and mechanical components under cyclic load . Fatigue damage is represented by mathematical modelling with crack growth rate da/dN and cycle ration N/Nf and is detected by X-ray diffraction and ultrasonic wave method etc. But this is estimated generally by single parameter but influenced by many test conditions The characteristics of it indicates fatigue damage has complex fracture mechanism. Therefore, in this study we propose that back-propagation neural networks on the basis of ration of X-ray half-value breath B/Bo, fractal dimension Df and fracture mechanical parameters can construct artificial intelligent networks estimating crack growth rate da/dN and cycle ratio N/Nf without regard to stress amplitude Δ $\sigma$.

  • Due to the numerous environmental factors, cracks and corrosion are frequently occured especially in old steel bridge, which deteriorate the structural integrity; thus bring about the problems of structural safety of the steel bridge. Therefore, repair and reinforcement are required for the damaged structure. the replacement repair welding method is spotlighted for its brilliant features, i.e. it can be achieved without incurring traffic dislocation. the method cuts the damaged parts and replaces them with new steel plate by welding under live loads. However, the mechanical behavior of the welded joints under cyclic loads due to the traffic which passes along bridge is not clarified. In this paper, the fatigue strength of the replacement repair welded joints was investigated in order to improve reliability in the repair welded joints of old steel bridge.

  • The use of reinforced earth walls in permanent structures is getting it's popularity. Despite a number of advantages of reinforced earth walls over conventional concrete retaining walls, there exit concerns over long-term residual deformation when subjected to repeated and/or cyclic loads, during their service period. In this investigation, the effect of preloading in reducing long term residiual deformation of back-to-back reinforced soil wall under sustained and/or repeated loading enviormentment using a series of reduced-scale model tests. It is found that the preloading technique can be an effective means of controlling residual deformations of reinforced soils under varisous loading conditions.

  • Radio data system is a next-generation broadcasting system of digital information communication which multiplexes the digital data into the FM stereo signal in VHF/FM band and provides important and convenient service features. And radio data are composed of groups which are divided into 4 blocks with information word and check word. In this paper, radio data receiver is developed which recovers and process radio data to provide services. Then we confirm that 7dB SNR is required to be 10S0-5TBER of demodulation. Deconding process of shortened-cyclic-decoder has been simulated by computer. Also, the time-compression (by 16 times) method has been adopted for the RDS features post-processing. Via the error probability calculation, simulation and experimentation, the developed receiver system is proved to satisfy the system specification of EBU and implemented by general logic gates and analog circuits.

  • This paper presents performance evaluation of a new high speed inter-processor communication(HIPC) network for large capacity and high performance digitral switching system. The HIPC structure implements the fast reservation and concurrent arbitration technique (modified round-robin arbitration). The performance evaluation of HIPC was performed by not only computer simulation but also numerical approximation method which was derived for a single server multi-queue system with nonexhaustive cyclic service. The approximation results are almost same with that of computer simulation. The TDX-10 basic callscenario was applied to the HIPC netowrk and analyzed. these results were compared with TDX-10 IPC and shows that the difference of th emean waiting time in the TX buffer of NTP node increases sharply according to the increase of the message arrival rate.

A Study on Fatigue Crack Propagation of Rail Steel under Constant and Mixed Mode Variable Amplitude Loadings

  • Recently, axle load, operating speed and traffic density on railroads have had a tendency to increase and thereby cause additional pressure applied on used track. These operating conditions frequently result in service failure due to wear caused by wheel-rail contact and fatigue damage under cyclic loading. Among rail defects, the transverse crack, which has been the most dangerous type of fatigue damages, is developed from the subsurface crack near the rail running face and grows perpendicular to the rail surface. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate systematically the growth behavior of transverse crack for rail steel under mixed mode. In this study, the fatigue crack growth behavior of the transverse crack in rail steel was experimentally investigated under mixed-mode variable amplitude loadings.

  • KTX trains which began passenger service between Seoul and Busan in April 2004 have gained very high evaluation for their safe operation. Track is one of the most important means to keep KTX safety, it has not been a fail of safe structure. The track failure during operation may lead to a severe accident. So, it is to be verified the confidence of track maintenance management on the high speed line. This paper would like to find a track deformation trend through a comparative analysis on actual measurement data at these times. It discusses the effect of cyclic dynamic load at welding part. KTX dynamic impact load was measured in accordance with a rail surface irregularity and analyzed some track irregularities according to the condition of rail profile at welding part in the Gyeongbu high speed line.
