원전해체후 규제해제 대상 금속폐기물에 대한 자체처분 안전성 평가 (Safety Evaluation of Clearance of Radioactive Metal Waste After Decommissioning of NPP)

  • 영구정지후 해체가 계획된 고리 1호기 원자력발전소는 해체과정에서 다양한 종류의 방사성폐기물이 대량으로 발생될 것으로 예상되고 있으며, 이 중 원자로 및 내부구조물은 방사능 수치가 높으므로 1차측에서 적절한 크기와 중량으로 해체된다. 고리 1호기 해체시 원자로 및 내부구조물에서 발생되는 방사성폐기물에 대하여 기존 폐기물의 자체처분 현황 및 법적 제한 사항 분석 등을 통해 적절하고 효율적인 처분방법을 마련하는 것은 중요한 사안일 것으로 판단된다. 원자로 및 내부구조물에서 발생되는 폐기물은 중준위에서부터 자체처분까지 다양한 준위의 폐기물들이 발생되며, 이 중 자체처분 준위에 해당되는 폐기물은 방사화 평가 결과, 원자로 상부 헤드와 상부 헤드 인슐레이션에서 발생되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 논문에서는 방사화 평가 결과를 바탕으로 자체처분 준위에 해당되는 폐기물을 자체처분 평가 코드인 RESRAD-RECYCLE 코드를 사용하여 자체처분 안전성 평가를 수행하였다. 대상 폐기물의 자체처분 시나리오를 선정하고 자체처분시 개인 및 집단별 최대선량을 계산하여 국내 원자력안전법에서 규정하는 자체처분 기준 제한치의 만족 여부를 판단하였다. 평가 결과, 전체적으로 상당히 낮은 결과값을 보이며 기준 제한치를 만족하는 결과를 나타내었으며, 핵종별 자체처분 허용농도를 도출하였다.

  • 거주 후 평가 연구(POE)는 설계/시공/거주 등 전주기적인 관점에서 대상물의 기능적 요구 치와 만족도에 대해 측정하고 평가하는 방법 중에 하나이다. 신도시를 대상으로 POE 연구를 수행하고 있지만 행정중심의 대규모 신도시에 대한 연구 활동이 부족한 실적이다. 따라서 본 연구는 대규모 단위의 행정중심복합도시에 대해 거주 후 평가(POE) 연구 활동을 수행하였다. 1차적으로 본 연구의 절차는 행정중심복합도시지역의 현황 및 시사점에 대한 문헌조사를 실시하였다. 그리고 조사한 자료를 근거로 하여 행복도시의 주요 쟁점과 특이사항에 대한 행복도시 평가지표를 도출하였다. 이후 행복도시 거주자를 대상으로 450부(일반 거주자 391명, 행복청주부모니터단 22명, 전문가 집단 37명)의 설문 활동을 수행하고 도출된 자료에 대하여 각 모듈 별로 POE 분석을 실시하였다. 이 후 분석결과를 바탕으로 행복도시의 현황에 대한 문제점 및 개선사항 등의 시사점을 도출하였다. 이는 대규모 신도시가 자족도시로 확장 방향에 대한 근거 자료로 활용이 가능할 것이며, 향후 사회적 요구에 부응하는 행복도시의 발전과 개선을 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

실링 테이프 적용에 따른 시공조인트 균열 저항성 평가 (Evaluation of Crack Resistance of Cold Joint as Usage of Sealing Tape)

  • PURPOSES : In order to evaluate a crack resistance at cold joint, sealing tape was adopted to apply at cold joint instead of typical tack coat material(RSC-4). The sealing tape was made by hot sealing material. The crack resistance as function of environmental and traffic loading was measured with visual observation. METHODS : In this study, the crack resistance was evaluated as function of environmental and traffic loading. The freeze-thaw method was adopted for environmental loading of asphalt pavement. condition. The damage of cold joint under freeze-thaw action is initiated by ice expansion load and accelerated by the interfacial damage between new and old asphalt pavement. The traffic loading was applied with wheel tracking machine on the cold joint area of the asphalt pavement for 3 hours at $25^{\circ}C$. The evaluation of crack resistance was measured with visual observation. The freeze-thaw results shows that the sealing tape was significantly increased the crack resistance based on. RESULTS : To estimate the crack resistance at cold joint area due to the environmental loading, the Freeze-thaw test was conducted by exposing the product to freezing temperature(approximately $-18^{\circ}C$) for 24 hours, and then allowing it to thaw at $60^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours. The tack coat material(RSC-4) was debonded after 21 cycles of the Freeze-thaw test. The first crack was observed after 14 freeze-thaw cycle with RSC-4 material. But, the sealing tape was not debonded after 24 cycle test. Also, the sealing tape shows the better performance of the crack resistance under the traffic loading with wheel track test. The crack was generated the under traffic loading with RSC-4(tack coating), however, the crack was not shown with sealing tape. It indicates that the sealing tape has a strong resistance of tensile stress due to traffic loading. CONCLUSIONS :Based on limited laboratory test result, a performance of crack resistance using the sealing tape is better than that of general tack coat material(RSC-4). It means that the sealing tape is possible to extend a pavement service life because the crack, one of the main pavement distresses, will be delayed.

  • 최근 UCC(User-created content)는 연예, 스포츠 등의 분야에서 많이 생성되어 공유되고 있지만 그 생명주기(life cycle)는 매우 짧고 이를 교육이나 학습에 활용하는 경우는 거의 드문 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 UCC 중에서 특히 창작 동영상을 활용하여 원격 교육에 적용하는 방법을 제안한다. 교사는 자신이 제작한 동영상을 원격 교육 시스템에 탑재하여 학생들로 하여금 자기 주도적 학습을 할 수 있도록 지원하며 학생들은 직접 만든 동영상으로 교사에게 지속적인 피드백을 받고 최종 평가를 받는다. 본 연구에서는 모형으로 원격 교육 시스템을 구현하고 초등학교 특기 계발교육 중 단소 실기 과목을 선정하여 원격 교육을 수행하였다. 원격 교육 후의 설문에서 학생들은 우선 단소 실기 능력이 향상되고 학습 및 평가 방법에 만족하는 것으로 나타났으며 단소 실기 능력 향상 이외에도 카메라/캠코더 조작기술 및 컴퓨터 활용 능력이 향상되었다고 응답하였다. 또한 동영상을 친구들 혹은 부모님과 함께 제작하고 많은 시간을 함께 보내면서 대부분의 학생들이 이전보다 관계가 더 좋아진 것으로 나타났다.

소규모 이더넷 스위치에서 개선된 적응적 전력 제어 메커니즘 (An Enhanced Adaptive Power Control Mechanism for Small Ethernet Switch)

  • 이더넷은 전 세계적으로 가장 널리 배치되어 사용되는 가입자망 네트워킹 기술이다. 이더넷의 에너지 효율성을 향상시키기 위해 IEEE 802.3az WG에서 LPI 기반의 EEE 규격을 확정하였다. 본 논문은 소규모 이더넷 스위치에서 EEE 를 기반으로 에너지 효율을 향상시킬 수 있는 개선된 적응적 전력 제어 메커니즘을 제안한다. 본 메커니즘의 특징은 일정기간 유입되는 트래픽 양을 측정하여 다음 주기의 트래픽 특성을 예측하고, 해당 트래픽 부하에 최적의 threshold 값을 조정한다. 성능분석 결과는 본 논문에서 제안한 메커니즘이 기존 방법에 비해서 평균 패킷 지연은 약간 증가시키지만 에너지 소비율을 상당히 감소시키므로 전반적으로 성능을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다.

Vehicle-bridge coupling vibration analysis based fatigue reliability prediction of prestressed concrete highway bridges

  • The extensive use of prestressed reinforced concrete (PSC) highway bridges in marine environment drastically increases the sensitivity to both fatigue-and corrosion-induced damage of their critical structural components during their service lives. Within this scenario, an integrated method that is capable of evaluating the fatigue reliability, identifying a condition-based maintenance, and predicting the remaining service life of its critical components is therefore needed. To accomplish this goal, a procedure for fatigue reliability prediction of PSC highway bridges is proposed in the present study. Vehicle-bridge coupling vibration analysis is performed for obtaining the equivalent moment ranges of critical section of bridges under typical fatigue truck models. Three-dimensional nonlinear mathematical models of fatigue trucks are simplified as an eleven-degree-of-freedom system. Road surface roughness is simulated as zero-mean stationary Gaussian random processes using the trigonometric series method. The time-dependent stress-concentration factors of reinforcing bars and prestressing tendons are accounted for more accurate stress ranges determination. The limit state functions are constructed according to the Miner's linear damage rule, the time-dependent S-N curves of prestressing tendons and the site-specific stress cycle prediction. The effectiveness of the methodology framework is demonstrated to a T-type simple supported multi-girder bridge for fatigue reliability evaluation.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and to evaluate the Computerized Nursing Diagnosis/ Intervention System for Nutritional and Eliminative Problems for clinical application. Each stage was processed based on the System Development Life Cycle. At the Strategy Planning Stage, valid nursing diagnoses and interventions were chosen. At the System Analysis Stage, a nursing diagnosis and intervention flowchart was drawn up. At the System Design Stage, a system was developed based on the flowchart and named the Nursing Diagnosis/Intervention System. The Nursing Diagnosis/Intervention System consisted of the Patient's Basic Information, Patient's Nursing Process, Nursing Process, and Code Registration. Each element in flowchart was coded and made into a database. The System was used and evaluated. A total of 30 cases were collected. After the application, the nurses evaluated the System using a 5 point Likert scale. Every item was scored at three points or more and 13 out of 17 items were scored at four points or more, thus the Nursing Diagnosis/Intervention System that was developed in this study was regarded as a useful one.

세라믹 메탈할라이드 램프의 아크튜브 열화현상 분석 (Analysis of Degradation Phenomena in Arc-Tube of Ceramic Metal Halide Lamp)

  • Recently, the demand of ceramic metal halide lamp has been expanded. Therefore, the lamp with high efficiency and long lifetime are increasing and the evaluation of reliability is needed. In this paper, the degradation phenomena of ceramic metal halide lamp was studied. The lamp was tested for 3000 on/off cycles with each cycle having a duration of 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off based on the accelerated aging experiment based on "Reliability Standards RS C 0085". As result, the corrosion of arc tube and leak was appeared from reaction between inner wall of PCA and chemical elements, and distortion of electrode was resulted from difference of thermal expansion between arc tube of PCA and electrode. Also, the efficiency of lamp was decreased by the change of inner pressure, operation temperature, and driving voltage from wall blackening.

  • In this apartment market, many apartments are being reconstructed within even less than 20 years from their first construction. This entails many problems in environmental and economical facets, for which many researches are under way in several institutions and universities. International cases show that the international trend goes for remodeling of maintenance, management, and repairing rather than new building. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors of cost evaluation for establishing the time period of apartment based on durability of material and equipment while considering the economic feasibility of apartment, when remodeling as a concept of sustainability regarding building is being vitalized. This study investigates the proper period of remodeling in consideration of weight accruing to the LC(Life Cycle) and cost based on the standardized durability. The weight of cost, period establishment analysis, and LC according durability varies the data values of remodeling periods. The physical durability and cost from this data enable the investigation into not only the repair period of individual materials of the apartment but also remodeling period.

  • This paper proposes a new Fourier transform-based phasor estimation method to eliminate the adverse influence of the exponentially decaying dc offsets when Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) is used to calculate the phasor of the fundamental frequency component in a relaying signal. By subtracting the result of odd-sample-set DFT from the result of even-sample-set DFT, the information of dc offsets can be obtained. Two dc offsets in a relaying signal are treated as one dc offset which is piecewise approximated in one cycle data window. The effect of the dc offsets can be eliminated by the approximated dc offset. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated by using computer-simulated signals and EMTP-generated signals. The algorithm is also tested on a hardware board with TMS320C32 microprocessor. The evaluation results indicate that the proposed algorithm has the stable and accurate eliminating performance even if the input signal contains two decaying dc components having different time constants.
