  • With the growth of the Internet, web-based cyber education is progressing from the text-based to the hyper-based including multimedia, and from one way of simply giving the contents to the learner to another way of providing mutual interaction between the instructor and the learner. For this, there uses the RIA-based dynamic application and multimedia. RIA, which is the new paradigm on the web, provides the learners with more effective and rich contents. For developing a cyber education system, if we use the existing web languages, a large amount of effort is needed. But if we use the RIA-based paradigm, we can remarkably reduce the effort. Also, in developing a new web-based cyber education system the RIA paradigm makes the learners to satisfy their demands, and in developing the system providing the interaction the paradigm gives us the way minimizing the time and effort. In this paper, we compare and evaluate the efforts in developing the RIA based education system with the Non-RIA based education system.

  • The new way of doing education in the cyber space is not limited by time or locations. The students do not need to attend classroom physically and simultaneously. This study tries to probe the relationships among demographic variables and instructional variables with students' satisfaction with the management class in a cyber university. The results demonstrate that demographic variables are not significantly related with students' satisfaction. Rather instructional variables such as personal interactions with professors, job related contents and careful reduction of difficulties countered during the class proceeding are more significantly related with learning satisfaction. The result shows the newly emerged internet based education system requires in-depth cooperation among professors, system engineers, education instrument designers, and students.

  • To perform on-line cyber education, it is indispensable to delivery contents file to participant users. When users' requests occur simultaneously in a shot period, server falls into overload phase. A common to avoid overload is a software solution based on P2P, which does no cost any additional expense. But, in this solution, it yields many problems such as service delay and system failure because of peer self-control. In this paper we propose an efficient load balancing policy based on P2P system. which is the contents delivery system for cyber education system using idle computing power in the proposed solution, we present server selection scheme called P2P-Pattern method, which results in minimum service delay. we can see that our scheme outperforms previous scheme.

  • The purpose of this study is to search for various strategies that could self-regulated learning within cyber home study efficiently, to operate the cyber home study based on such strategies, to manage and support students' learning and to investigate what effects it would have on the ability of self-regulated learning and attitude. In this study, an operational strategy for cyber home study according to the compositional elements of self-regulated learning based on prior studies. Then, the study developed the learning contents of cyber home study and operated cyber home study according to the operational strategy. From the results of the analysis obtained in this study, the following conclusions can be drawn as follows. First, A learner's self-regulated learning capability is able to be improved by self-regulated leaning strategies. Cyber home study that would enable students to implement the leaning on their own through learning contents and operating strategies corresponding to them was the environment that could help their self-regulated learning. Second, in order to find out students' satisfaction for the application of cyber home study, the study compared the survey of cyber home study with the frequency and percentage by each question and the mean value of technical statistics. Cyber home study let students have positive recognition on mathematical learning, and especially as shown in the results of the interview, it was helpful to improve students' interest and confidence as well as their mathematical learning.

  • Purpose: The research purposes analyzed the study participation and lecture evaluation of applicants in the cyber hospice specialist education course to find problems of nurse education application on the web. Method: Study participants were 125 nurses for participation and 68nurses for lecture evaluation. The data was analysed by descriptive statistics. Result: The results obtained from this study were as follows 1) The residence distribution of study participants was spread out across the nation. Equal distribution of education was accomplished without a difference among provinces. 2) The average study duration in the study participation was about one hour and a quarter minutes a week, and number of access to lecture notes was 65.8 times. But in a discussion room and a cooperative room, the system using rate was very low, so we considered the idea to come up with a more effective application way. 3) The participant's lecture evaluation of cyber education were generally satisfied about the quality of lecture, time, contents etc. Conclusion: This study shows the possible implication for nursing fields using a web-based learning program for reeducation in a variety of fields, so nursing cyber application can be considered to come up with this more effective method.

  • Cyber learning goes up in the quantity of educational contents as informational technology develops in Korea. However some research for the structure of the contents has not been tried to examine its quality. Therefore this research analyzed the most popular cyber learning contents in Korea. They were characterized as "presentational contents". The main research methods are survey and execution of the presentational contents. For the survey, 100 trainee teachers were interviewed. The result of survey is that presentational contents are close to both the tutorial contents type and drill and practice type. On the other hand it is revealed that the response for simulation and game contents type is very rare. The result of the execution for presentation contents recorded high level for frequency of presentation and motivation. To solve these problems, the approach for developing presentational contents should select an appropriate curriculum for cyber learning system and incorporate effective teaching presentation with technology.

  • The main purpose of cyber home education in public sector is to promote public education and restrain expensive private education expenses. The primary purpose of this study is to explore the effects of motivation, immersion and tutor on the effectiveness of cyber home learning. The variables of motivation, immersion and tutor participation were incorporated in this study as follows: 1) tutor participation was classed as a single independent variable, which has interaction and also effects passion; 2) motivation and 3) immersion were classed as two mediatory variables: motivation which include relevance and confidence; and immersion which includes attention and controllability. 4) learning effect was classed as a single dependent variable of learning influence factor which has learning attitude and learning satisfaction. The results show that a tutor had a direct influence on the effects of the learners' study but motivation and immersion had an indirect influence on the effects of learners' study independently. Based on these findings a tutor should provide motivation and immersion with various learning methods and contents for learners to get maximum benefits from cyber home learning.

  • The process for the information society centered on the internet supplied us a space of another life, cyber space. In the reality that the cyber space exercised its influence on the our society outstandingly, this researcher think that it needs to have to discuss about the cyber school in the elementary schools by making use of experience the soft landing of cyber university. This study suggested the model of cyber elementary school applicable to the elementary schools, and discussed with the operational plan by the model. Also, it examined the field teachers' opinions about the model classification and operation through the questionnaire, and analyzed the result. It was divided into the four sorts of cyber elementary schools like the school support type, school associated type, and independent type, and transitional period type. This study researched the concept by the model each, the object and purpose of major education, the operational system, curriculum and contents. As a result of collecting their opinions through the questionnaire, it is desirable to be operated as the transitional period type and the school support type in case of the introduction of cyber elementary schools in the present elementary schools.

  • In this paper, we carry out a cyber group consultation by means of the video-based education system, and verify the effects. For the verification of this study, two assumptions were set up. These assumptions were inspected by selecting 45 students of D elementary school located in a big city, and coming up with a test utilizing one of video-based education systems. Following up, a self-respect test form and a questionnaire were made to verify of the group consultation to the video-based education system, and by analyzing the test form and the questionnaire, the conclusion of this study was finally drawn. The conclusion gained through the process adove is as follows: It turned out that real-time video-based cyber group consultation promoted self-respect and enthusiastic participation of consulters as well as formed emotinal stability and a close affinity between the consultant and the consulter through active interaction. The results of this video-based education system operation will be helpful to broaden the area of elementary school cyber group consultation. Further, it is thought that it will contribute to the basic investigation to verify the educational effects of Multi-point imaging system in the run-up to the operation of full-scale real-time video-based education systems.
