임도설계용(林道設計用) 토량환산표(土量換算表)의 제작(製作) (Construction of Exchange Table of Earth Quantity for Forest Road Plan)

  • 산악지(山岳地) 임도설계(林道設計)의 시간(時間)과 인력(人力)을 절약하는 방법의 일환으로 토량(土量)을 간편하게 산출(産出)하는 방법(方法)을 강구하였다. 이 방법(方法)을 적용하는 이론적(理論的) 배경(背景)으로 0선측량법(線測量法)의 도입(導入)과 2/3 절토노폭개념(切土路幅槪念) 및 절토량(切土量) = 성토량(盛土量) 개념도입(槪念導入)의 타당성을 제시하고 이와같은 원리(原理)들을 산악지림도시공(山岳地林道施工)에 적용한다는 전제하에 삼각함수법을 적용하여 토량환산표(土量換算表)를 표(表) 3과 4와 같이 제작하였다. 표(表) 3은 노폭(路幅)을 0.5m 괄약으로 구분(區分)하여 시공지 경사도별로 절토량(切土量)을 추정(推定)한 것이고, 표(表) 4는 현지(現地)에서 절토폭(切土幅)을 측정하여 절토량(切土量)을 산출(算出)하는데 적용하는 환산계수표(換算係數表)이다. 동표(同表) 등을 적용하면 토량계산(土量計算)을 위한 현지측량(現地測量)과 내업시간(內業時間)은 단축시킬 수 있을 것이다.

공구날당 소재제거량이 원통형 밀링가공물의 원주형상에 미치는 영향 (Efffct of Material Removal per Tooth on the Circumferential Shape of Cylindrically Milled Parts)

  • A study for investigating the effects of the cutting conditions(feed rate, radial depth of cut, cutting speed) and the tool diameter on the circumferential geometry of the cyl indrically end-mi1led workpiece is described. In this work, the circumferential geometry is characterized by the roundness error. Experimental results show that the circumferential geometry is directly affected by the material removal per tooth,which is defined as a function of the cutting speed, the feed rate and the radial depth of cut. And, the radial depth of cut is revealed to be the most critical condition among them. It is also found that the roundness error decreases when the tool diameter is larger under the same cutting conditions.

  • Existing grade crossings between railway and roadway area gradually changed to grade separation systems by the law. In the case of new roadway construction which crosses railways, it shall be grade separation system in principle. With the railway underground crossing method, many practices have been developed which can minimize rail displacements and avoid rail release. With these methods, the effects to the train can be reduced. The underground crossing methods can be identified as open-cut methods and non open-cut methods. The open-cut methods include temporary support methods and special rail construction methods. Also the non open-cut methods includes pipe roof methods, front jacking methods, messer shield methods, NTR methods and JES methods. Among these, the most suitable method is applied considering safety, economy, class of each rail system (train passing frequency and velocity), etc. In the non open-cut methods, the cost and duration shall be increased to keep existing rail system during construction. In the open-cut methods which use plate girders, the rail speed shall be restricted due to the displacement and vibration of the girder. In this study new grade separation methods were developed. With this method, the safety during construction can be increased. This method refines temporary support methods, but pc slab girder with huge stiffness is applied instead of plate girders. With this method, the rail displacement can be reduced and higher safety can be obtained during construction. Also construction cost and duration can be minimized because the temporary work and the overburden soil depth can be reduced.

압성토 및 억지말뚝으로 보강된 도로의 확장공사로 인한 추가 보강사례 연구 (A Case Study of Extra Reinforcement by Road Extension work on Existing Cut Slope Reinforced with Counterweight Fill and Stabilizing Piles)

  • 본 논문에서는 도로확장공사 현장의 절토사면 안정검토를 위해서 몇가지 조사 및 분석을 수행하였다. 압성토 및 억지말뚝으로 보강된 절토사면의 추가 보강사례를 그 연구대상으로 하며, 절토사면에 보강된 안정화파일의 효과를 분석하기위한 시험장비 또한 설계 및 설치하였다. 결론적으로, 추가보강방법으로써 억지말뚝공법과 Earth Anchor공법을 검토한 결과, 억지말뚝공법과 Earth Anchor공법 모두 안정성은 확보하였으나 기존 보강공법의 연계성과 경제성을 고려하여 억지말뚝공법을 추가보강공법으로 선정하였다.

  • In this study, Site Investigation Program of cut slope is developed using related techniques and experience got from practical application of Inventory Survey Program of cut slope in work for last 4 years. The Site Investigation Program is designed to can be loaded to the Mobile PC for convenience of carrying in filed, convenience of data input and revision, application of diverse programs, convenience of confirming data and facility of establishment of real-time database system using wireless communication like Inventory Survey Program. Also, for connection with Inventory Survey Program, it has a same work process and can establish real-time database system of almost data obtained in filed using stability analysis tool loaded in this program. Application of this developed program is expected to be an opportunity that can contribute to development of slope investigation and database system area using IT techniques.

Short Channel Analytical Model for High Electron Mobility Transistor to Obtain Higher Cut-Off Frequency Maintaining the Reliability of the Device

  • A comprehensive short channel analytical model has been proposed for High Electron Mobility Transistor (HEMT) to obtain higher cut-off frequency maintaining the reliability of the device. The model has been proposed to consider generalized doping variation in the directions perpendicular to and along the channel. The effect of field plates and different gate-insulator geometry (T-gate, etc) have been considered by dividing the area between gate and the high band gap semiconductor into different regions along the channel having different insulator and metal combinations of different thicknesses and work function with the possibility that metal is in direct contact with the high band gap semiconductor. The variation obtained by gate-insulator geometry and field plates in the field and channel potential can be produced by varying doping concentration, metal work-function and gate-stack structures along the channel. The results so obtained for normal device structure have been compared with previous proposed model and numerical method (finite difference method) to prove the validity of the model.

Multi-response optimization for milling AISI 304 Stainless steel using GRA and DFA

  • The objective of the present work is to optimize process parameters namely, cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut in milling of AISI 304 stainless steel. In this work, experiments were carried out as per the Taguchi experimental design and an $L_{27}$ orthogonal array was used to study the influence of various combinations of process parameters on surface roughness (Ra) and material removal rate (MRR). As a dynamic approach, the multiple response optimization was carried out using grey relational analysis (GRA) and desirability function analysis (DFA) for simultaneous evaluation. These two methods are considered in optimization, as both are multiple criteria evaluation and not much complicated. The optimum process parameters found to be cutting speed at 63 m/min, feed rate at 600 mm/min, and depth of cut at 0.8 mm. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was employed to classify the significant parameters affecting the responses. The results indicate that depth of cut is the most significant parameter affecting multiple response characteristics of GFRP composites followed by feed rate and cutting speed. The experimental results for the optimal setting show that there is considerable improvement in the process.

  • In designing cut and cover tunnels, load combination applied Korea seismic design code of urban transit and its sections applied Korea concrete code 2003. However, by revision of Korea concrete code in 2007, engineers have been experiencing difficulties in their work. In this study, application of Korea concrete code 2007 for designing is reviewed by comparing load combination of related codes and member force.

  • The form accuracy of parts has become an important parameter. Therefore dimensional tolerance and geometric tolerance are used in design to satisfy required quility and functions of parts. But the informations for machining conditions, which can satisfy the assigned geometric tolerance in design, are insufficient. The objectives of this research are to study the effects of the grinding parameters such as traverse speed, work speed, depth of cut, and dwell time on the after-ground workpiece shape, and to find out the major parameters among these parameters. Finally, a methodology is proposed for getting the optimal grinding condition for precision workpiece The results are as follows; The effects of work speed and depth of cut on workpiece shape are ignorable compared to the effect of traverse speed. These is the optimal dwell time depending on the traverse speed. The optimal dwell time is decreasing when the traverse speed is increased.
