Purpose - This paper examines customers' perception on intra-industry and inter-industry alliance, then compares customer purchasing attitude towards alliance product according to whether it is from high-tech or low-tech industry. Research design, data, and methodology - We used qualitative research methodology of in-depth interviews and focus group interviews. Results - Customers expect products from inter-industry alliance to be highly innovative but also to be inferior in technology. In high-tech industries, since technology is more important than differentiation, inter-industry alliance was negatively evaluated whereas intra-industry alliance elicited positive customer purchasing attitude. Conversely, in low-tech industry where novelty outweighs technology, inter-industry alliance earned positive evaluation. However, for intra-industry alliance, customers' evaluation varied depending on whether both partners share similar prestige and price range. When partners were not similar to each other, customers' perception were positive for less prestigious and pricey brand, but in the reverse case, perception were negative. Conclusions - This research focused on customers' perception and attitude by adopting qualitative methodology while other alliance studies are mostly based on quantitative research. This study provides managers with partner selecting guidelines considering the type of industry, and whether the goal is to enhance novelty or technology.
The purpose of this article was to research the effects of physical environment on risk perception in customers at raw-fish restaurants in the Northeastern area of Kangwon province, South Korea. In this research, reliability analysis, factor analysis and path analysis were carried out. Physical environments were divided into four factors and risk perception into three factors. 'Exterior facility' had a negative influence on performance (p<0.001) and financial risk (p<0.001). 'Interior facility' negatively affected performance risk (p<0.001), financial risk (p<0.001) and time risk (p<0.001). 'The others' negatively influenced performance risk (p<0.05). Lastly, 'press copy' negatively influenced performance risk (p<0.001). Based on these results, various physical environments affected the risk perception in customers at raw-fish restaurants, and satisfaction level of customers was based on risk perceptions. As a result, food-service companies need to manage the physical environment as a marketing strategy, as well as reduce risk perception to increase customers loyalty.

Internal environment affected negatively financial risk (p<0.001), time risk (p<0.001) and psychological risk (p<0.001). External environment had negative influence on time risk (p<0.05) and psychological risk (p<0.05). And the other environment negatively affected financial risk (p<0.001), time risk (p<0.001) and psychological risk (p<0.05). According to these results, we confirmed that various physical environments influenced on the risk perception of customers. Nowadays Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has become a critical factor influencing customers' buying intention. The study conducted aims to explore the relationship between customers' perception towards CSR and their repurchase intention. The data was collected by using survey questionnaires from 320 individual customers living in Ho Chi Minh City and processed in SPSS software. The research results showed that among CSR components, economic and charitable responsibilities have a positive impact on Vietnamese customers' repurchase intention at the significance level of 1% and the two other factors at 10%. The findings assume that CSR components have become factors explaining customers' repurchase intention, especially for consumer goods, and firms should enforce their corporate social responsibility to capture customers' repurchase intention and in turn increase their customers' loyalty.

This study investigates the impact of heuristic factors on customers' perception of information credibility of influencers on YouTube channels, and the association between customers' perception of information credibility and brand attitude, brand credibility, and purchase intention of cosmetic products in Vietnam. A quantitative approach is employed, with a survey of 270 females who are frequent viewers of beauty content on YouTube channels. The data reliability and validity go through various statistical tests including exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Also, structural equation modeling (SEM) is applied to test the hypotheses. The results reveal that there is a positive association between heuristic factors and the perception of information credibility. This perception of information credibility also influences positively on customers' attitudes toward the brand and brand credibility. Purchase intention is also found to be positively associated with the two latter variables. The study's main findings not only offer advice to practitioners on how to choose the right product endorsers and advertising platforms, but they also offer novel insight from the Vietnamese context that could help to extend the heuristic-systematic model and customers' buy intention behavior.
The purpose of this study was to overview the meaning of customer loyalty to segment customers based on their loyalty and to analyze the difference of loyal customers' perception of relational benefits in the restaurant industries. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to 500 adults with dining experience at restaurants. Participants were given a brief description of loyalty and were made to choose a specific restaurant they felt loyal to and one with no loyalty. Attitudinal and behavioral loyalty were used in cluster analysis resulting 4 cluster groups. Each group was named true, spurious, latent, and low loyalty. After the groups were separated, ANOVA was used to see if the score of perceived relational benefit showed difference. All four relational benefit including social, psychological, economic, and customization benefit showed significant difference(p<.001). True loyal customers perceived relational benefit as the highest while low loyal customers showed the lowest. For latent and spurious loyal customers, it was found that latent loyal customers showed higher perception than spurious customers.

This study attempts to understand how the perception of service quality as well as shopping motives influence on the emotional responses in store shopping, and to examine how these relevant variables influence on the store satisfaction. The 463 questionnaires were collected from the purchasers in department stores, fashion specialty stores, and national brand franchise stores. The results of this study are as fellows: 1. In regard to shopping motives, two dimensions of product motive and experiential motive were identified, explaining 47.39% of shopping motives. 2. In regard to emotional response, two dimensions of pleasure emotion and displeasure emotion were identified, explaining 65.95% of emotional responses. 3. Shopping motives led to the store satisfaction after the perception of service quality and then the experience of pleasure emotion. These related variables explained 60% of the store satisfaction. 4. The consumers of fashion specialty store showed the highest product motive, whereas the consumers of department stores showed the highest displeasure emotion in the store. As the results showed, customers' shopping motives influence their perception of service quality and pleasure emotion. Therefore, in order to stimulate shopping motives, the store environment that can give customers pleasure and opportunity to pursue various experiences should be provided. As the service quality is a very important variable that leads pleasure emotion in the store, sales persons should be trained to satisfy customers.

The customer orientation affected the customer satisfaction with salesperson and with store while the sales orientation did not. The customer satisfaction, in turn, affected the store revisit intention, and the effect of the satisfaction with store was higher than that with salesperson. A slight difference between the customers and salespeople in such effects was observed. Generally the effects had higher predictabilities for the customers.
