Purpose: The hotel industry needs a leader who can actively demonstrate leadership to respond to and accept changes in the organization in a highly competitive and fast-changing environment. Therefore, the role of leaders who instill clear vision and goals of the organization in their members, listen to their opinions, and empathize is paramount. Leaders should encourage successful organizational activities based on active participation by employees and create the best environment for working with a sense of mission and responsibility. This study aims to identify the relationship between empathy leadership and job engagement as a result variable of team cohesion in the hotel culinary department and conduct empirical studies on the role of empathy leadership and job engagement. Research design, data, and methodology: The data were collected from employees who work in culinary department at a five-star franchise hotel located in the Seoul metropolitan area. Because it is difficult to conduct a survey through face-to-face contact with employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the online survey was conducted from February 1 to February 28, 2020. A total of 330 questionnaires through online were distributed and 268 employees completed the survey, yielding a response rate of 81%. Of the 268 returned responses, 27 responses were not usable due to missing information. Thus, a total of 241 responses were used for analysis. Results: The study results are as follows. First, it has been shown that the empathy leadership of culinary department in hotel companies has a significant positive impact on the job engagement. Second, it has been shown that job engagement has a significant positive effect on members' team cohesiveness. Third, empathy leadership of hotel companies' culinary department has a significant positive impact on members' team cohesiveness. Fourth, job engagement has a significant positive (+) mediating effect in the relationship between empathy leadership and team cohesiveness in culinary department. Conclusion: This study supports the theory that an emotional and empathic leader's behavior or ability can change the effectiveness or atmosphere of a rapidly changing hotel culinary team organization by presenting a research model on the effect of empathic leadership on job engagement and team cohesiveness. And hotel chefs should be more aware of the importance of empathic leadership and make them a human resource of the organization through formal and informal communication with culinary employees.

Many pharmaceutical companies operate the SFA system to support salespeople. The SFA system is used for various behaviors of salespeople. However, there is a lack of empirical analysis on the performance of SFA in Korea. The purpose of this study is to investigate the utilization of SFA system and the non - financial performance of SFA system. The subjects of the survey were 347 pharmaceutical community members who consisted of pharmaceutical salespeople and surveyed online for 18 days from March 13, 2018 to April 30, 2018. and the effective response rate was 23.1% (80/347). The analysis shows that the higher the level of SFA system utilization, the higher the non - financial performance. By type of company, the utilization level of multinational companies was higher than that of domestic companies. Among the SFA utilization level items, 1.47 points (3.65, 2.18) were higher than the domestic companies in terms of the support service items. Among the SFA performance items, foreign companies were 1.47 points (3.16, 1.69) Respectively. This suggests that the SFA development and operation method of the domestic company focuses on the management service rather than the support service for the salesperson and the customer satisfaction. Through this study, it is considered that domestic companies should strengthen sales person support and customer satisfaction information providing function when operating SFA system.
Purpose: With the rapid changes in the technical development and the trend of consumption trend, the convenience store industry is facing an unprecedented competitive situation in the consumption environment where the boundary between online and offline is broken due to the stagnation of offline distribution channels and the spread of online shopping. The biggest innovation strategy of the major convenience store brands in recent years are introducing the O2O (Online to Offline) platform and presenting new products and services beyond the boundaries of online and offline to transform themselves into Omni Channel stores. The study is designed to analyze the effect of innovativeness of convenience store as a stimulus in O2O platform which customers perceive on store loyalty, the final response to external stimuli, through customer engagement with convenience store brands. Specifically, the innovativeness of convenience stores was divided into types of core activities in corporate marketing and focused on innovations in services, products(proposals), promotions and experiences. Research design, data, and methodology: Various hypotheses have been developed to achieve this research purpose. The data were collected from 1,128 questionnaires the age between 15 and 60 who had experience using retail store apps and delivery apps and were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and SmartPLS 3.3.7 program. Measurement model analysis was carried out to assess convergent and discriminant validity. Also, common method bias was tested using the values of VIF (variance inflation factor). The hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling with SmartPLS 3.3.7 program. Results: First, service innovation has a positive effect on cognitive engagement. Second, product, promotion and experience innovation have a positive effect on cognitive and affective engagement. Third, cognitive influences affective engagement. Finally, both cognitive and affective engagement affect store loyalty, but affective engagement has a stronger effect on store loyalty than cognitive engagement. Conclusions: All four types of innovation and cognitive engagement have a positive effect on emotional engagement, which has a stronger effect on store loyalty than cognitive engagement. Thus, while innovation can build loyalty through emotional engagement, innovation strategies must be designed and pursued with caution in terms of impact through cognitive engagement may not achieve the planned goals.

In the current situation of social distancing due to COVID-19, the use of one-person hair salons, which are safer than franchise hair salons, is emerging again. One-man hair salons provide personalized services at high prices, so they can be said to be an industry that required high quality services than franchise hair salons. Despite these characteristics, many studies on hair salon services are focused on franchise hair salons. Therefore, this study was conducted through empirical analysis with the purpose of finding out how the service quality of a one-man hair salon, which required high service quality, affects behavioral intention through the coexistence of customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction. As a result of this study, it was found that the pleasure of consumers in one-person hair salons increases the intention to revisit the most. Those pleasure showed that it is more important to respond and empathize with consumers as well as its expertise of hair designers than the appearance of beauty salons. Through this study, the characteristics of a one-man hair salon were examined and significant results were found.
With changes in information technology (IT), many innovative IT-based services, such as AirBnB, have become popular. Switching behavior toward new and innovative services become a major issue for managers who want to attract many customers. In response, many researchers have investigated why customers switch service providers. However, little research has been conducted on the processes of switching behavior for a hedonic service. To fill this research gap, this study aimed to identify the stages of switching behavior based on transtheoretical model. Furthermore, the factors affecting the service switching behavior in stages were identified on the basis of service provider switching model. This study also hypothesized the customer's switching behavior in accommodation sharing economy service and analyzed it empirically. Results showed that the factors affecting switching behavior differ across five stages. The present results can provide a basis to prevent switching behavior and reduce churn by analyzing the difference in switching behavior among stages. This study also helps managers who want to improve organizational performance by enhancing customer retention capability.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the global airport industry is actively introducing 4th Industrial Revolution technology-based systems for quarantine and passenger safety, and test bed construction and prior verification using airport infrastructure and resources are actively being conducted. Analysis of recent cases shows that despite the changing travel patterns of airport users and the diversification of airport service demands, most testbeds construction studies are still focused on suppliers, and task prioritization is also determined by decision makers. There is a tendency to rely on subjective judgment. In order to find practical ways to become a first mover that leads innovation in the aviation industry, this study selected tasks and derived priorities to build testbeds from a service perspective that reflects various customer service needs and changes. Research results using the AHP analysis method resulted in priorities in the order of access transportation and parking services (29.2%), security screening services (23.4%), and departure services (21.8%), and these analysis results were tested in the airport industry. It shows that innovation in testbeds construction is an important factor. In particular, the establishment of smart parking and UAM transportation testbeds not only helps strengthen airports as centers of technological innovation, but also promotes cooperation with companies, research institutes, and governments, and provides an environment for testing and developing new technologies and services. It can be a foundation for what can be done. The results and implications produced through this study can serve as useful guidelines for domestic and foreign airport practitioners to build testbeds and establish strategies.
According to the increasing mobile security users who have experienced authentication failure by forgetting passwords, user names, or a response to a knowledge-based question have preference for biological information such as hand geometry, fingerprints, voice in personal identification and authentication. Therefore biometric verification of personal identification and authentication for mobile security provides assurance to both the customer and the seller in the internet. Our study focuses on human hand biometric information recognition system for personal identification and personal Authentication, including its shape, palm features and the lengths and widths of the fingers taken from mobile phone photographs such as iPhone4 and galaxy s2. Our hand biometric information recognition system consists of six steps processing: image acquisition, preprocessing, removing noises, extracting standard hand feature extraction, individual feature pattern extraction, hand biometric information recognition for personal identification and authentication from input images. The validity of the proposed system from mobile phone image is demonstrated through 93.5% of the sucessful recognition rate for 250 experimental data of hand shape images and palm information images from 50 subjects.
This study tests a model that physical environment for shopping experience consist of the emotional responses of consumers and the effect of it's behavioral reactions. Specifically, this study have discussed how to perceive the attractive environment for customers, how to induce positive feelings or negative, how to form a switching barriers, how to lead loyalty. This findings can be summarized as follows. The results show that the models fit the data well and that nearly all of the hypothesized relationship construct are supported. First, attractive physical environment of the store had an significant effect on positive emotions to customers. Second, positive emotions that customers response about physical environment of store have an significant effect on switching barriers and loyalty. Third, the switching barriers formed in the consumer's mind to store have a significant effect a positive loyalty. The results present that attractive physical environment of stores have been thought to be key to switching barriers and customer loyalty.
Recently, as the COVID-19 has spread and prolonged worldwide, the 'Untact' society is becoming routinized, and various smart technologies are leading to the spread of the 'Ontact' culture. This is because the desire of consumers to purchase a product and use the service has increased while minimizing the direct contact. In order to quickly respond to this circumstance, the percentage of the companies which are adopting Chatbot in various fields such as orders, delivery, and inquiries is increasing and they are getting a positive result. However as the demand for building Chatbot increases dramatically, there are many confusions among the companies which want to introduce Chatbot to their system, due to the lack of professional technicians and difficulties in understanding AI technologies and how to build them effectively. I believe that in the post COVID-19 era, much more companies will adopt Chatbot, and this will intensify the problem. The purpose of this study was to derive the needs for a guide on the method of buiilding a Chatbot through considering the prior research on Chatbot and analysis of the recent surge in the use of Chatbot services related to COVID-19. There are implications to presenting 5 phases of universal Chatbot implementation methodology using the platform to the stakeholders who want to introduce Chatbot to their customer so that they can understand and build Chatbot more easily and use AI Chatbot actively in response to the POST COVID-19 era.
The objective of the research is to investigate the causal relationships among functional value, emotional value, social value, perceived sacrifice, satisfaction, loyalty and behavioral intention. All in all, 296 respondents completed a questionnaire themselves in the presence of an interviewer who could be consulted about the response scales and other technical matters. Behavioral intention models were estimated by structural equation modelling using 7 latent constructs. The results demonstrated that the confirmatory factor analysis model provided a good model fit. The unconstrained model yielded a significantly better fit to the data than the constraint model. The effects of functional value and social value on satisfaction and behavioral intention were statistically significant. The effects of perceived sacrifice, satisfaction and loyalty on behavioral intention were statistically significant. As expected, satisfaction had a significant effect on loyalty. Functional value had an indirect effect on behavioral intention through satisfaction and loyalty. Moreover, social value had an indirect effect on behavioral intention through satisfaction and loyalty. Replicating and extending this study in other regions and other samples would test the generalizability of the present findings and provide a basis for an external validation of the framework developed in this paper.
