레스토랑 고객의 선택 속성에 관한 실증적 연구 (A Study on the Choice Properties of Restaurant Customer's Characteristics)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the properties of restaurant customer's choice and to present the desirable service of restaurants. The experimental data were collected from the questionnaire answered by 182 restaurant customers in Seoul. One-way ANOVA and $x^2$(Chi-square) verification analysis were performed with the SPSS WINDOW 10.0 program to investigate statistical significance of the data. As the results, it was revealed that the food factor was most important when the customers choose a restaurant. And then, the importance of the choice properties was in the following order, that is, the food factor, the hygiene and cleanness factor, the employee's service factor, the visiting convenience factor, the indoor mood factor, the menu factor, the amenity factor for children. In addition, it was confirmed that some choice properties of the customers are dependent on the general characteristics such as sex, age, occupation, income etc. Therefore, it is essential that restaurants should provide various services related with the choice properties by understanding the choice properties according to the customer's characteristics.

커피전문점의 디저트 메뉴품질이 점포선택과 재방문에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Coffee Shop's Desert Menu Quality on Shop Choice and Revisit Frequency)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop definite and practical marketing strategies for coffee shop managers or preliminary founders through empirical analysis of the effects of desert menu quality characteristics a mainstay of coffee shop-on store choice and revisit frequency. The results of this study are summarized as follows. The results showed that the menu quality characteristics taste, price, hygienic conditions, and health had significant effects on store choice and repurchase frequency through customer satisfaction, whereas originality was rejected due to the lack of menu originality. Both shop choice and repurchase frequency through customer satisfaction were also significant. This suggests that there is a need for the development of a diverse desert menu to increase competitiveness, creation of new customers, and regular customer management.

Impact of Pursuing Goals on Customer Channel Preference: Mediating Effects of Product Utility and Process Utility

  • This paper explores the influence of pursuing goals on customer channel preference in Chinese rural market. With the rapid change in distribution channels and increase in multi-channels, it is necessary to understand the preference for channel choice as well as product choice. This study empirically validated the conceptual framework of the relationship between the pursuing goals and customer channel choice proposed by Balasubramanian, Raghunathan, and Mahajan (2005). Based on the survey data of 232 fertilizer customers in Chinese rural market, this study explores how economic, social, and psychological pursuing goals can impact customer channel preference by mediating variables of product utility and process utility. The results indicate that pursuing goals positively related with product utility and process utility, and product / process utility can mediate the relationship between pursuing goals and customer channel preference positively. Consequently, we can conclude that customers' economic-social-psychological pursuing goals can directly influence customer channel preference via their purchase process utility and product utility. This result also implies that product utility is effective on process utility during consumer's buying decision making, and process utility and product utility are not mutually independent. Therefore, purchase process utility is a "latent driving force" on customer's channel choice decision.

저비용항공사 선택 속성에 관한 시장전략 (Market Strategy for Low Cost Carrier of Selection Attributes)

  • Purpose - As more low cost carriers are introduced, the competition between the low cost carriers to become the nation's leading low cost carrier is also being intensified. The purpose of this study is to select various choice attributes for low cost carrier and figure out important factors that customers take into account for low cost carrier selection. The study also involves in establishing the relationship between perceived value, customer satisfaction, and customer behavior Intention, in an effort to identify choice attributes that are important to customers' low cost carrier. Research design, data, and methodology - To examine these research models, samples were collected from 247 peoples who visited In-Cheon international Airport during June, 2017. Results - The results of the study showed that, 'reservation service', 'airport service', 'in-flight service', and 'price' services have a significant effect on the perceived value of the choice attributes. While 'reservation service', 'airport service', 'in-flight service', and 'flight operation service' have a significant effect on the customer satisfaction of the choice attributes, perceived value has a significant effect on customer satisfaction. Perceived value has a significant effect on customer behavior intention. Finally, customer satisfaction has a significant effect on customer behavior intention. Conclusions - Flight operation service has no significant effect on perceived value of the choice attributes of low cost carriers, which indicates that the low cost carriers have not yet been well-established in the flight operation service sector. It seems likely that low cost carrier will be able to gain a competitive advantage over other companies if they expand their routes and improve the convenience of flight connections. In addition, the results show that the price service does not have a significant effect on customer satisfaction of the choice attributes of low cost carriers. From this, we may assume that the airline ticket prices of low cost carriers are already low, and the price cannot be a deciding factor in the competitive advantage of low cost carriers. To achieve higher customer satisfaction of the choice attributes, companies should strengthen the competitiveness of 'reservation service', 'airport service', 'in-flight service', and 'flight operation service'.

건강지향 메뉴선택속성이 웰빙레스토랑 고객 행동의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 음식관여도, 신뢰의 조절효과를 중심으로 - (The Effects of Health-related Menu Choice Attributes on Customer Behavioral Intentions at Well-being Restaurants - The Moderating Roles of Food Involvement and Trust -)

  • This study aimed to identify the effects of health-related menu choice attributes on customer behavioral intentions at well-being restaurants and analyze the moderating effects of food involvement and trust, which can influence customer preference and their intentions to visit well-being restaurants. This study designed a survey, and 351 respondents who have eaten at well-being restaurants completed the questionnaire. Exploratory factor analyses were conducted to identify underlying dimensions related to health-related menu choice attributes, food involvement, and customer behavioral intentions toward well-being restaurants. The three factors regarding health-related menu choice attributes and the three factors related to food involvement were identified. In order to test the relationships between health-related menu choice attributes and behavioral intentions as well as to investigate the moderating effects of food involvement and trust, hierarchical regression analyses were conducted. Results indicated that the three factors of health-related menu choice attributes were significantly and positively related to behavioral intentions. Among food involvement factors, dining environment and cooking were significantly related to behavioral intentions toward well-being restaurants. Trust had a significant influence on behavioral intentions. Results showed that food involvement and trust could moderate the effects of health-related menu choice attributes on behavioral intentions toward well-being restaurants.

Critical Factors Affecting the Choice of Logistics Service Provider: An Empirical Study in Vietnam

  • The trend of globalization leads an increased need for international freight transportation and accelerates the development of the international logistics industry. The objective of this paper is to identify the critical factors that affect the choice of logistics service provider (LSP). The data sample was collected through a questionnaire, responded by 218 companies that outsource logistics services. The analysis uses descriptive statistics; exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and regression analysis were conducted with SPSS. The role of capabilities, customer service, and company reputation were evaluated and tested. Our findings show that capabilities and customer service have a considerable impact on the choice of LSP. The findings also indicate that company reputation do not have significant impact on the choice of LSP. They also showed that the capabilities is the variable that has the most significant effect on the choice of LSP. An implication of this study is that the competition should not only focus on pricing, but should be extended to improving enterprises capabilities, i.e., upgrading human resources, modernizing the modes of transportation, expanding business geographically and developing new technologies. Our study provides LSP managers with insights into how to meet customer expectations in the competitive logistics service sector.

병원선택 요인이 고객만족과 재이용의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Hospital Choice Factors on Customer Satisfaction and Revisiting Intention in General Hospitals)

  • 본 연구는 병원 이용자의 병원선택요인이 고객만족과 재이용의도에 미치는 영향을 체계적으로 분석하기 위한 목적으로 수행하였다. 가설 검증을 위해 부산, 울산, 경남지역 3개 종합병원을 이용한 외래환자 및 보호자를 대상으로 2014년 6월 1일부터 6월 28일까지 4주간 직접 설문조사를 통해 519부의 자료를 수집하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 병원선택요인 중 인적요인, 접근성요인, 대외이미지요인은 고객만족에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 물리적요인, 효율성요인은 고객만족에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 그리고 병원선택요인 중 대외이미지요인이 재이용의도에 유의한 영향을 보였으며, 고객만족 또한 재이용의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 통해, 병원경영진이 환자만족도와 재이용의도를 높여 궁극적으로 수익성의 제고로 연결시키기 위해서는 경영전략의 수립 시 병원선택에 영향을 미치는 다양한 요인들의 역학관계를 고려하는 것이 매우 중요함을 시사해 주고 있다.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of characteristics of hospital choice and hospital service quality on service value, customer satisfaction and hospital revisiting intent and a survey involving patients and their caregivers who used the hospital before was conducted for empirical analysis. Thus, the theory and factors concerning the characteristics of hospital choice, hospital service quality, service value, customer satisfaction and hospital revisiting intent and relevant preceding research were explored after examining the preceding research, the research model was developed accordingly. A total of 459 collected questionnaires were analyze after carrying out the survey on a national scale. The findings of this study have significance since it identified the motivation that affect the choice of hospital and provide information. Also, this study could be utilized as reference data for hospitals to survive in the fierce competition, as it carried out factual survey on considerations when making choice of hospital. Furthermore, due to the low expectation of patients and caregivers for hospital administration, the study indicated that it's linked to a significantly low chance of customer satisfaction and provide the cause. This study was differentiated with other research on hospital choice since it selected security as a factor of hospital choice, though it's not discussed in the preceding research and moreover, conducted the empirical analysis. And the results of empirical analysis revealed that customers felt that service value was improved when the information security was strengthened. In other words, the strengthening of hospital information security could be hospital choice motivation, which means this study provided practical implication.

대형마트 점포선택기준이 점포애호도에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effects of Store Choice Criteria of Mass Merchandisers on Store Loyalty with Customer Emotions as Moderating Variables)

  • 본 연구는 대형마트를 이용해 본 경험이 있는 일반소비자를 대상으로 2010년 7월 5일부터 8월 31일까지 2개월 동안 설문조사하여 회수한 246명의 유효한 응답지를 표본으로 SPSS 18.0과 AMOS 18.0의 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 경로분석 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대형마트 점포선택기준 중 제품요인, 점포명성, 물리적 환경 등이 고객만족에 유의한 영향을 미침을 발견하였다. 이는 소비자가 점포를 선택하고 평가할 때 상품의 다양한 구색, 구전커뮤니케이션, 점원의 친절성 등의 변수가 점포선택시 중요한 기준으로 작용함을 시사하고 있다. 이는 Berman and Evans(1979), Novak(1977), Ridgway, Bloch and Nelson(1994) 등의 연구를 지지하고 있다. 둘째, 대형마트에 대한 고객만족은 점포애 호도에 유의한 영향을 미침을 발견하였다. 이는 매장 내에서 경험하는 일시적인 기분 상태가 쇼핑에 만족감을 주고 이는 다시 쇼핑하고자 하는 의사에 유의한 영향을 미친다는 Dawson, Bloch and Ridgway(1990)의 연구, 지각된 긍정적 감정이 매장에 대한 태도를 거쳐 재방문 의사에 영향을 미친다는 유창조와 김상희(1997)의 연구를 지지하고 있다. 셋째, 소비자 감정을 기쁨, 각성, 지배 등 3가지로 분류하고 각 감정에 따라 점포선택기준과 고객만족의 영향 관계의 차이에 대한 조절효과를 분석한 결과 유의한 영향을 일부분 미치고 있음을 발견하였다. 이는 점포속성, 소비자 구매행동 등에 소비자 감정의 매개역할이 존재하기 때문에 조절효과를 기대할 수 있다고 주장한 Donovan and Rossiter(1982), 박성연과 배현경(2006) 등의 연구, 그리고 소비자가 점포 내에서 경험하는 좋음 그리고 싫음과 같은 감정이 소비자에게 점포충성도를 증가시키기 때문에 감정과 점포에 대한 관계가 매우 높다고 주장한 Zimmer and Golden(1988)의 연구와 일부분 일치한다. 특히, 부대시설은 점포선택기준이 고객만족에 미치는 영향에 대해 기쁨, 각성, 지배 등 소비자 감정에 체계적이고 유의한 조절효과가 있음을 발견하였다.

  • Women customer is one of main target of Family restaurant as known. In addition, they are powerful consumer group now days. According to the social variation, to expand to participation to career opportunity not only unmarried but also married women and increase to single female household make women more expend money and go out to eat. So, this study is examined family restaurant choice attributor of women customer depends on status of marriage, scale of household and age. It will be contributed to Family restaurant industry to segment of their women customer by neo-demographic variables be reflected with social variations.
