  • Purpose - As more low cost carriers are introduced, the competition between the low cost carriers to become the nation's leading low cost carrier is also being intensified. The purpose of this study is to select various choice attributes for low cost carrier and figure out important factors that customers take into account for low cost carrier selection. The study also involves in establishing the relationship between perceived value, customer satisfaction, and customer behavior Intention, in an effort to identify choice attributes that are important to customers' low cost carrier. Research design, data, and methodology - To examine these research models, samples were collected from 247 peoples who visited In-Cheon international Airport during June, 2017. Results - The results of the study showed that, 'reservation service', 'airport service', 'in-flight service', and 'price' services have a significant effect on the perceived value of the choice attributes. While 'reservation service', 'airport service', 'in-flight service', and 'flight operation service' have a significant effect on the customer satisfaction of the choice attributes, perceived value has a significant effect on customer satisfaction. Perceived value has a significant effect on customer behavior intention. Finally, customer satisfaction has a significant effect on customer behavior intention. Conclusions - Flight operation service has no significant effect on perceived value of the choice attributes of low cost carriers, which indicates that the low cost carriers have not yet been well-established in the flight operation service sector. It seems likely that low cost carrier will be able to gain a competitive advantage over other companies if they expand their routes and improve the convenience of flight connections. In addition, the results show that the price service does not have a significant effect on customer satisfaction of the choice attributes of low cost carriers. From this, we may assume that the airline ticket prices of low cost carriers are already low, and the price cannot be a deciding factor in the competitive advantage of low cost carriers. To achieve higher customer satisfaction of the choice attributes, companies should strengthen the competitiveness of 'reservation service', 'airport service', 'in-flight service', and 'flight operation service'.

The results show that Blattberg model has limiting applicability to B2B business context. To overcome the limits, several suggestions were made. The main suggestion was predicting maintenance costs for different customers groups and including decision variables regarding marketing costs that would help building a differentiated CE model for the B2B business context.

  • Recently market potentials of Asian cruise service have driven big western incumbents to make an strategic entry into Asian cruise market. However Korean cruise industry has been on the initiating stage focused on coastal cruise service. Under the circumstances, Korean firms which have intention to provide cruise service ought not to depend mainly on government's institutional supports such as expansion of social infrastructure and consolidation of related law, but to explore and utilize service-oriented factors for customer satisfaction as fundamentals for competitive strategies with some considerations. In this study, we expanded the perceived value literature by demonstrating the role of selected affective factors such as novelty and hedonics on value in the context of cruise service experiences. We also examined the role of customer satisfaction in the affect-value relationship. According to the results, it is analyzed that such determinants of perceived value in cruise-ferry service like novelty and hedonics have some positive influences on customer satisfaction of cruise service. In particular, hedonics is strongly linked to cruise vacationers' value perceptions and repurchase intentions. Overall satisfaction as a mediator accounted for the relationship between affective antecedents and perceived value. The managerial findings of this research are also briefly discussed.

  • This study intended to examine transitive relation among customer incivility perceived by deluxe hotel frontline employees, burnout, and deviant workplace behaviors and clarify the moderating effect of employees' stress. A total of 230 employees working in deluxe hotels in Seoul, the capital of Korea, in 2017 comprised the sample in this study. The hypothesized relationships in the model were tested simultaneously by using structural equation modelling (SEM). As results, customer incivility perceived by deluxe hotel frontline employees had significant (p<.001) positive influence on their burnout(${\beta}=.38$, t-value=4.93). Employees' burnout positively influenced their deviant workplace behaviors (${\beta}=.56$, t-value=7.22). In addition, customer incivility was found to positively affect employees' deviant workplace behaviors(${\beta}=.26$, t-value=3.90), and therefore, the moderating role of stress level was not verified. The findings of this study suggested that deluxe hotels are supposed to enhance their frontline service by providing orientation for customers through promotion materials. Limitations and future research directions of this study were also well established and discussed.

  • We analyze how much employees' work abilities and overall satisfaction on the job or corporate influence on the productivity and customer satisfaction in the service industry, which is characterized by simultaneity, heterogeneity, intangibility and etc. Employees always encounter customers in process of the service. So, the employees' attitudes and behaviors have direct influences on the service quality or satisfaction which customers perceive. Also, employees' satisfaction or work abilities can lead to increase or decrease the productivity. To grasp and demonstrate the cause and effect relationship, we firstly measure the degrees of employee satisfaction organized by 11 factors through survey, and also measure employees' overall satisfaction, organizational commitment and productivity. Secondly, we define service value as the employee's objective measure index and collect it with the data related to customer satisfaction. Based on the collected data, thirdly we define how the relationship among the employee satisfaction, the productivity, the service value and the customer satisfaction are affected by the employees' work abilities and overall satisfaction with SEM(Structural Equation Model). And finally, we classify employees according to their abilities and the degrees of satisfaction respectively and suggest important strategies to manage them effectively.
