커브형 집적영상에서 부분적으로 가려진 먼 거리 물체 인식 향상을 위한 DPM 방법 (Improved Recognition of Far Objects by using DPM method in Curving-Effective Integral Imaging)

  • 본 논문에서는 커브형 집적영상 시스템에서 부분적으로 가려진 먼 거리 3차원 물체의 인식 향상을 위한 새로운 direct pixel-mapping (DPM)방법을 제안한다. 제안 방법은 커브형 집적영상 시스템에서 DPM 방법에 의해 먼 거리에 위치한 3차원 물체로부터 픽업된 요소영상배열 (elemental image array, EIA)은 가시적으로 가까운 거리에서 픽업한 것과 같은 새로운 요소영상배열을 생성한다. 이러한 특성은 재생한 3차원 물체 영상의 해상도를 향상 시킬 수 있고, 이로 인하여 먼 거리에 위치한 3차원 물체에 대한 인식 성능을 향상 시킬 수 있다. 컴퓨터적 실험결과와 기존 방법과의 비교를 통하여 제안방법으로 재생한 물체의 PSNR과 NCC의 값이 평균 1.75dB와 4.56% 향상됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 커브형 집적 영상 기술은 렌즈 배열을 이용하여 3D 영상을 공간에 쉽게 표현할 수 있는 기술이며, 넓은 관측각을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 커브형 집적 영상에서 물체의 인식 향상을 위하여 다이렉트 픽셀 매핑 (DPM) 방법 기반의 비선형 상관기를 제안한다. 제안하는 비선형 상관기는 커브형 집적 영상 시스템에서 장애물에 가려진 물체로부터 픽업된 요소 영상을 DPM 방법을 통하여 해상도가 향상된 새로운 요소 영상을 생성한다. 새로운 생성된 요소 영상을 사용하여 복원한 3D 영상들과 참조 영상간의 비선형 상호상관을 이용하여 3D 물체의 인식 성능 향상시킨다. 제안된 방법의 유용함을 보이기 위하여 기초적인 상관 관계 실험을 수행하고 기존의 방법과의 비교 결과를 보고한다.

  • Kyung-p-1 main line is characterized by its curves radii of which are considerably small. It is essential for running time reduction of train to improve capabilities of curve negotiation. This improvement can be achieved by designing a bogie with flexible suspension system. The effect of the improvement is mainly concerned in the primary yaw stiffness of bogie suspension. This paper gives a linear analysis for the motion of railway vehicle on curved track and gives also computer simulation results for Semaul Train. The results introduce a conclusion that the primary yaw stiffness of Semaul train is too rigid to be self-steering on Kyung-pu main line curves.

  • In the curving detection method by using an accelerometer, the ride comfort in the first car is worse than one in the others due to spend the time to calculate the tilting command and drive the tilting mechanism after entering in the curve. In order to enhance the ride comfort in the first car, the preditive curve detection method which predicts the distance from a train to the starting point of curve by using the GPS, Tachometer, Ground balise and position DB for track. In this study, we predicted and evaluated the ride comfort for predictive curve detection method in transient curves according to the shape and dimension of transient curve and the various driving speed. Also, we predicted the improvement of the ride comfort for predictive curve detection method by comparing with the result of the ride comfort for predictive curve detection method and for curve detection method using an accelerometer in the short transient curve.

Vision-Based Roadway Sign Recognition

  • In this paper, a vision-based roadway detection algorithm for an automated vehicle control system, based on roadway sign information on roads, is proposed. First, in order to detect roadway signs, the color scene image is enhanced under hue-invariance. Fuzzy logic is employed to simplify the enhanced color image into a binary image and the binary image is morphologically filtered. Then, an effective algorithm of locating signs based on binary rank order transform (BROT) is utilized to extract signs from the image. This algorithm performs better than those previously presented. Finally, the inner shapes of roadway signs with curving roadway direction information are recognized by neural networks. Experimental results show that the new detection algorithm is simple and robust, and performs well on real sign detection. The results also show that the neural networks used can exactly recognize the inner shapes of signs even for very noisy shapes.

능동형 시제 조향대차의 임계속도 평가 (Evaluation of Critical Speed for Active Steering Bogie Prototype)

  • Critical speed analysis was conducted for a active steering bogie prototype, developed to improve the curving performance of railway vehicles. The critical speed for the design concept was about 169.2k m/h. To validate the analysis result, we performed a critical speed test for the prototype bogie using a roller-rig tester. The test results showed that the critical speed for the prototype bogie was about 165 km/h. From the analysis and test results, The critical speed for the prototype bogie was determined to be 165 km/h. Considering the maximum operating speed of the test vehicle is 100 km/h, the prototype bogie is considered stable.

  • Revision and establish of KS(Korean Standards) is currently actively discussed. It is just the time for a new world class standards under the new system with WTO(World Trade Organization). This paper is a part of "Researchs on the Standards in Railway rolling stock Field", as one of KS establish projects. The aim of this study is to define the requirements of railway rolling stock-test methods for running resistance. In the former KS, there is no items matched with this purpose. Therefore a new part of KS is proposed.

  • Yield losses due to diseases and insect pests were mentioned and emphasized the efficiency of resistant cultivars in curving the yield losses and increasing chemical efficiency. Present status of resistance breeding for blast, bacterial leaf blight viruses, brown planthopper and white backed planthopper were introduced and the resistance sources for those are discussed. Breeding strategies for above items were presented. Specially for the blast resistance, discussions were made in some detail. With brief future prospects of resistance breeding in Korea, a suggestion was made for pathologists to make clear about whether the blast spores will be brought from mainland China as we see with Bph and Wbph or not.

  • watches, air bearings and printed circuit hoards (PCB). However, it is not easy to determine optimum cutting conditions since the micro drilling process is very sensitive to various disturbances. Also, undesirable characteristics to optimize the micro drilling are small signal-to-noise ratios, drill wandering motions and high aspect ratios. Thus, in this study, experimental design methods are applied to determine optimum cutting conditions. Suing the methods, three cutting parameters, fred, step and curving speed are optimized to minimize thrust forces. Obtained conditions are verified through required experimental works. As the results, it is shown that the experimental methods can be applied to micro drilling processes to determine Optimum Cutting Conditions.

틸팅대차 프레임에 대한 피로강도평가 절차에 관한 해석적 연구 (An Analytical Study on Fatigue Strength Evaluation Procedure for the Bogie Frame of Tilting Railway Vehicle)

  • This paper has established the strength evaluation procedure of the bogie frame for the Korean tilting train that is being developed in KRRI, In order to establish the strength evaluation procedure, firstly, the loading conditions imposed on the tilting train were investigated. In addition, the static and fatigue strength of the bogie frame has been evaluated. In order to derive the dynamic loads according to the carbody tilting, the load redistribution effect by carbody tilting, the unbalanced lateral acceleration effect by high-speed curving and the tilting actuator force effect have been considered. Multi-body dynamic analyses have been carried out to evaluate the tilting load cases and the strength analysis has been performed by finite element analyses. From this study, the structural safety of the bogie frame could be ensured.
