  • A conveyor system in corrugated manufacturing industry may be in charge of carriage/storage, and may control logistics flow and production activities of products in a manufacturing process which consists of corrugators, conveyors, and printer-slotter systems. It identifies problems that the conveyor system in this case study is overloaded and often operated manually. This research is to evaluate e the conveyor system though simulation model of technological evaluation beyond d eco-nomic and qualitative one. The rate of operation and the load of the conveyor system are used as parameters in the simulation. This paper suggests a direction to a new conveyor system implementation the basis of the results that are derived by new alternatives based on current model. The best alternative is supposed to be the number of conveyors and the operation times of the printer-slotter that may be increased at the same time.

  • A novel instrumentation amplifier(IA) using positive polarity current-conveyor(CCII+) for electronic measurement systems with low cost, wideband, and gain control with wide range is designed. The IA consists of two CCII+, three resistor, and an operational amplifier(op-amp). The principal of the operating is that the difference of two input voltages applied into two CCII+ used voltage and current follower converts into same currents, and then these current drive resistor of (+) terminal and feedback resistor of op-amp to obtain output voltage. To verify operating principal of the IA, we designed the CCII+ and used commercial op-amp LF356. Simulation results show that voltage follower used CCII+ has offset voltage of 0.21mV at linear range of ${\pm}$4V. The IA had wide gain range from -20dB to 60dB by variation of only one resistor and -3dB frequency for the gain of 60dB was 400kHz. The IA also has merits without matching of external resistor and controllable offset voltage using the other resistor. The power dissipation of the IA is 130mW at supply voltage of ${\pm}$5V.

  • Analog-to-Digital converter is designed using a current conveyor circuit and a time-to-digital converter. The analog voltage is sampled using the current conveyor circuit and then the voltage is converted to time information by the discharge of the sampling voltage. The time information is converted to digital value by the counter-type time-to-digital converter. In order to reduce the converted error the clock is synchronized with the time information pulse.

  • Novel class-A bipolar current conveyor($CCII{\pm}$) with differential current output and its application to output current controllable CCII+ for electronic tuning systems are designed. The $CCII{\pm}$ is consists of conventional CCII+ and complementary cross current sources. The CCII+ with controllable the output current consists of the $CCII{\pm}$ and a current gain amplifier with single-ended current output. The simulation result shows that the $CCII{\pm}$ has current input impedance of $1.9{\Omega}$ and a good linearity for voltage and current follower. The proposed CCII+ has 3-dB cutoff frequency of 10MHz for the range over bias control current $100{\mu}A$ to 10mA. The range of output current control is four decade. The power dissipation of the CCII+ is 4.5mW at supply voltage of ${\pm}2.5V$.

  • Class A bipolar second-generation current conveyor (CCII) with low current-input impedance and its offset-compensated CCII for high-accuracy current-mode signal processing are proposed. The CCIIs consist of a regulated current-cell for current input, a emitter follower for voltage input, and a cascode current mirror lot current output. In these architecture, the two input stages are coupled by current mirror to reduce the current input impedance. Experiments show that the CCII has impedance of 8.4 Ω and offset voltage of 40 mV at current input terminal. To reduce this offset, the offset-compensated CCII adopts diode-connected npn and pnp transistor in the proposed CCII. Experiments show that the offset-compensated CCII has current input impedance of 2.1 Ω and offset voltage of 0.05 mV. The 3-dB cutoff frequency of the CCIIs when used as a voltage follower extends beyond 30 MHz. The power dissipation is 7.0 mW

  • A simple resistance deviation-to-time period converter is proposed for interfacing resistive half-bridge sensors. It consists of two 2nd generation current conveyors(CCIIs). The proposed converter has simpler circuit configuration than the conventional converters using operational amplifiers or operational transconductance amplifiers(OTAs). The proposed converter was simulated using CCII implemented with AD844 IC chips. The simulation results show that the converter has a conversion sensitivity of $0.01934ms/{\Omega}$ over a range of $100-500{\Omega}$ resistance deviations and a linearity error less than ${\pm}0.002%$.

  • The On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) tools access data from the data warehouse for complex data analysis, such as multidimensional data analysis, and decision support activities. Current research has lead to new developments in all aspects of data warehousing, however, there are still a number of problems that need to be solved for making data warehousing effective. View maintenance, one of them, is to maintain view in response to updates in source data. Keeping the view consistent with updates to the base relations, however, can be expensive, since it may involve querying external sources where the base relations reside. In order to reduce maintenance costs, it is possible to maintain the views using information that is strictly local to the data warehouse. This process is usually referred to as "self-maintenance of views". A number of algorithm have been proposed for self maintenance of views where they keep some additional information in data warehouse in the form of auxiliary views. But those algorithms did not consider a consistency of materialized views using view self-maintenance. The purpose of this paper is to research consistency problem when self-maintenance of views is implemented. The proposed "conveyor algorithm" will resolved a complete consistency of materialized view using self-maintenance with considering network delay. The rationale for conveyor algorithm and performance characteristics are described in detail.

  • Treatability tests of a soil washing device were performed for the remediation of eil-contaminated soil. The contaminant-containing soil with water was first fed into a oc-current screw conveyor and then into a counter-current washer. Surfactant was introduced into the washer and feeding soil was continuously separated on the basis of #40 mesh at the same time. A washing efficiency of 97.9% was achieved by the the soil washing device optimized.

  • In this paper, the FLL(Frequency Locked Loop) circuit using current conveyor circuit is designed by $0.35{\mu}m$ CMOS process. The FLL circuit is built in a frequency divider, a frequency-to-voltage converter, a voltage subtractor and a oscillator and the circuit blocks have a symmetric structure to improve a reliability characteristics with a process variation. From the simulation results, the variation rate of output frequency is about less than ${\pm}1%$ when the channel length, channel width, resistance and capacitance are varied ${\pm}5%$.

  • This paper presents a second-generation CMOS current conveyor (CCII) consisting of a rail-to-rail complementary N- and P-channel differential input stage for the voltage input, a class AB push-pull stage for the current input, and current mirrors far the current outputs. The CCII was implemented using a double-poly triple-metal 0.6 ${\mu}$m n-well CMOS process, to confirm its operation experimentally. A prototype chip achieves a rail-to-rail swing ${\pm}$2.4 V under ${\pm}$2.5 V power supplies and shows the exact voltage and current following performances up to 100 MHz. Because of its high performances, the CCII proposed herein is quite useful for a building block of current-mode circuits. The applications of the proposed CCII to current-mode filters are also described.
