발효조의 온도제어 신호를 이용한 직접열량계의 개발 및 대사열량의 온라인 측정 (Development of an Integrated Calorimeter Using Temperature Control Signals of a Bioreactor and On-line Measurement of Metabolic Heat of a Microbial Cultivation)

  • 본 연구에서는 미생물의 성장시 수반하는 대사열을 측정할 수 있는 직접 열량계의 기능을 가질 수 있도록 발효조를 개량하였다. 발효조의 온도제어신호의 길이를 측정하고 이 신호를 컴퓨터에서 전달하여 계산하고 발효조에 공급된 누적 열량을 측정할 수 있도록 발효조를 일부 개조하고 온라인 측정 시스템을 구성하였다. 균체 없이 발효조를 운전하면서 여러 조건에서 누적 열량을 측정하여 통기량의 따라 30.9kJ/vvm의 열손실과 공기중으로 전도 및 대류, 복사에 의한 0.5 kJ/L/hr/$^{\circ}C$의 열손실이 발생함을 측정할 수 있었다. 그리고 소형의 가열체를 반응액에 발생함을 측정할 수 있었다. 그리고 소형의 가열체를 반응액에 투입하여 열량측정의 정확도를 확인하였으며 누적열량은 $\pm$0.2%의 오차 범위 내에서 측정되었다. 본 시스템에소 효모와 대장균을 이용하여 대사열량을 성공적으로 측정할 수 있음을 보였다.

한국의 열감분포에 관한 생리 기후학적 연구 - 신유효온도를 중심으로 - (A Physioclimatic Study on the Thermal Sensation in Korea)

  • 본 논문에서는 인간 생리 및 생활에 가장 기본이 되는 온도, 상대습도를 기초로 하여 인간의 열긴장도를 측정하여 우리나라의 열감분포의 특성을 파악하였다. 연구 방법은 열지수 분석을 중심으로 하였다. 열지수는 습도계산도에서, 월별 열지수 및 연누적 열지수를 계산하여 한국의 연누적 열지수 분포도를 작성하였다. 연누적 열지수 분포의 분석 결과는 우리 나라의 대부분 지역이 한랭긴장도가 나타나는 지역이고 남쪽에서 북쪽으로, 해안에서 내륙으로 갈수록 한랭긴장도가 높아지고 있다. 특히 삼지연. 풍산, 장진을 중심으로 한 개마고원 지역이 높은 한랭긴장도 지역이고, 제주와 서귀포룰 포함한 제주도 지역이 가장 낮은 긴장도를 보이고 있다. 전자는 겨울에 시베리아 기단의 영향을 직접 받고. 고도가 매우 높은 내륙 산지 지역이기 때문이고, 후자는 위도와 바다의 영향으로 특히 겨울에 온화한 지역이기 때문이다.

배추 순무모자이크바이러스(TuMV)병 진전도 예측모형식 작성 (Modeling for Prediction of the Turnip Mosaic Virus (TuMV) Progress of Chinese Cabbage)

  • To develop a model for prediction of turnip mosaic virus(TuMV) disease progress of Chinese cabbage based on weather information and number of TuMV vector aphids trapped in Taegwallyeong alpine area, data were statistically processed together. As the variables influenced on TuMV disease progress, cumulative portion(CPT) above 13$^{\circ}C$ in daily average temperature was the most significant, and solar radiation, duration of sunshine, vector aphids and cumulative temperature above $0^{\circ}C$ were significant. When logistic model and Gompertz model were compared by detemining goodness of fit for TuMV disease progress using CPT as independent variable, regression coefficient was higher in the logistic model than in the Gompertz model. Epidemic parameters, apparent infection rate and initial value of logistic model, were estimated by examining the relationship between disease proportion linearized by logit transformation equation, In(Y/Yf-Y) and CPT. Models able to describe the progression of TuMV disease were formulated in Y=100/(1+128.4 exp(-0.013.CPT.(-1(1/(1+66.7.exp(-0.11.day). Calculated disease progress from the model was in good agreement with investigated actual disease progress showing high significance of the coefficient of determination with 0.710.

일 최고, 최저 및 평균값을 이용한 시간단위 온도의 평가 (Evaluation of hourly temperature values using daily maximum, minimum and average values)

  • Computer simulation of buildings and solar energy systems is being used increasingly in energy assessments and design.. Building designers often now predict the performance of buildings simulation programmes that require hourly weather data. However, not all weather stations provide hourly data. Climate prediction models such as HadCM3 also provide the daily average dry bulb temperature as well as the maximum and minimum. Hourly temperature values are available for building thermal simulations that accounts for future changes to climate. In order to make full use of these predicted future weather data in building simulation programmes, algorithms for downscaling daily values to hourly values are required. This paper describes a more accurate method for generating hourly temperature values in the South Korea that uses all three temperature parameters from climate model. All methods were evaluated for accuracy and stability in terms of coefficient of determination and cumulative error. They were compared with hourly data collected in Seoul and Ulsan, South Korea.

누적열 방지 및 비닐 접착품질 향상을 위한 온도 제어형 임펄스 씰러 (Impulse Sealer)의 개발 (Development of Temperature Controlled Impulse Sealer for Preventing Cumulative Heat and Improving Sealing Quality)

  • 일반적인 임펄스 씰러의 시간제어 방식은 누적열(시작점의 온도가 상승)로 인해 포장품질의 저하를 초래하기 때문에 본 연구에서는 온도제어 방식을 이용한 임펄스 씰러의 누적열 상승 특성 및 포장품질을 조사하였다. 순간(Impulse) 방식의 특성상 아주 짧은 시간에 높은 온도를 올려주기 때문에 정확한 제어는 힘들지만, 가장 중요한 최고점의 온도를 일반 시간제어 대비 특정 편차 범위 내에서 유지하여 주기 때문에 우수한 포장품질을 확보하는 것이 가능하였다. 온도제어의 결과로 최고점의 온도는 128.9℃이며 최고와 최저의 오차율은 -4%에서 7.4%, 시간제어 최고점의 온도가 190.3℃로 설정온도인 120℃ 대비 70.3℃ 상승을 하였으며, 약 59%의 온도 상승률을 보였다. 온도제어와 시간 제어의 최고점의 온도차는 61.4℃로 뚜렷한 온도차를 보이며, 시간제어에서는 접착품질의 저하를 확인할 수 있었다. 즉, 온도제어 방식은 시간제어 방식 대비 우수한 접착품질을 나타내었다. 본 연구개발을 통하여 임펄스 씰러의 온도제어 방식은 연속작업에서의 온도상승을 조절하고 최소화할 수 있는 효과적인 대안이 될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 한편, 시간제어 방식 임펄스 씰러의 온도제어 방식으로의 전환을 위해서는 오차율이 일정치 않은 문제, 온도제어를 위해 필요한 온도센서(박판센서)의 품질 확보 및 수급 문제, 온도센서 자체의 내구성 향상문제, 그리고 신규방식의 높은 가격 문제 등을 추가적으로 고려하여야 한다.

자연실온 및 변온환경에서 15종류의 켄터키 블루그래스 신품종의 발아특성 및 일일발아패턴 비교 (Comparison of Germination Characteristics and Daily Seed Germination Pattern in 15 New Cultivars of Kentucky Bluegrass under Alternative and Natural Conditions at Room Temperature)

  • Research was initiated to investigate early establishment characteristics and germination pattern of Kentucky bluegrass (KB, Poa pratensis L.) under natural room temperature and to analyze differences between alternative and natural conditions for a practical application. Fifteen cultivars of KB were evaluated in the study. Daily and cumulative germination pattern were measured and analyzed on a daily basis. Differences were observed in germination percentage, germination pattern, days to the first germination and days to 75% germination. Germination percentage was variable with cultivars at the end of study. It was 75.75 to 90.25% under natural condition. There were considerable variations in early germination characteristics and germination pattern among KB cultivars according to germination conditions. The first germination in all entries tested was initiated between 6 and 9 DAS (days after seeding) under ISTA (International Seed Testing Association) condition. But it was observed between 9 and 12 DAS under natural condition, being 3 to 5 days later as compared with ISTA condition. On the first date of a germinating process, the germination rate was 0.25% to 25.00% under ISTA condition, while 0.50% to 13.25% under natural condition. Days to the 75% germination were 15.08 to 28.80 DAS under ISTA condition and 17.78 to 28.75 DAS under natural condition. Midnight II, Excursion and Midnight were the fastest cultivars under ISTA condition, while Odyssey the fastest one under natural condition. Regardless of germination condition, the slowest cultivar was Voyager II, being over 4 weeks to 75% germination percentage. For the most cultivars, days to 75% germination under natural room temperature condition were 1 to 8 days slower than under ISTA condition. From this study information on differences in germination characteristics and pattern among cultivars would be usefully applied for KB establishment such as golf course construction. Prior to on-site seeding, a comprehensive germination test is practically recommended due to a possible decline in germination capability during domestic distribution and storage after import.

Relationship between Phenological Stages and Cumulative Air Temperature in Spring Time at Namsan

  • To certify predictability for the times of phenological stages from cumulative air temperature in springtime, the first times of budding, leafing, flower budding, flowering and deflowering for 14 woody plants were monitored and air temperature was measured from 2005 to 2006 at Namsan. Year day index (YDI) and Nuttonson's Index (Tn) were calculated from daily mean air temperature. Of the 14 woody species, mean coefficient of variation was 0.04 in Robinia pseudo-acacia and 0.09 in Alnus hirsuta. However, mean coefficient of variation was 0.30 in Forsythia koreana and Stephanandra incisa and 0.32 in Zanthoxylum schinifolium. Therefore, the times of each phenological stage could be predicted in the former two species but not in latter three species by two indices. Of the five phenological stages, mean coefficient of variation was the smallest at deflowering time and the largest at budding time. In five phenological stages, mean coefficient of variation of YDI was in the range of $0.11{\sim}0.21$ but that of Tn was in the range of $0.15{\sim}0.26$. Therefore, the former was a better index than the latter. Of the species-phenological stage pair, coefficient of variation of YDI was 0.01 in Acer pseudo-sieboldianum - flower budding and below 0.05 in 11 pairs, whereas the YDIs over 0.40 were 4 pairs comprising of Prunus leveilleana - budding (0.51). Coefficient of variation of Tn was 0.01 in A. hirsuta - budding and below 0.05 in 8 pairs. The Tns over 0.40 were 5 pairs comprising of F. koreana - flower budding (0.66).

상대재의 거칠기에 따른 GF/PUR 복합재료의 연삭마모거동 (Behavior of abrasive wear on counterpart roughness of glass fiber reinforcement polyurethane resin composites)

  • The behavior of abrasive wear on counterpart roughness of glass fiber reinforcement polyurethane resin (GF/PUR) composites were investigated at ambient temperature by pin-on-disc friction test. The friction coefficient, cumulative wear volume and surface roughness of these materials against SiC abrasive paper were determined experimentally. The major failure mechanisms were lapping layers, ploughing, delamination, deformation of resin and cracking by scanning electric microscopy (SEM) photograph of the tested surface. As increasing the counterpart roughness the GF/PUR composites indicated higher friction coefficient. The surface roughness of the GF/PUR composites was increased as the sliding velocity was higher and the counterpart roughness was rougher in wear test.

크리이프에 의한 과실 포장입자의 층적 내구성 분석 (Stacking Durability Analysis of Fruit , Packaging Boxes by Creep)

  • Allowable stacking duration of the corrugated fiberboard boxes being widely used for packaging fruits and vegetables was analyzed by the creep behavior and the cumulative load correction factor for the boxes. The stacking boxes were assumed to be stored at a nearly constant temperature and relative humidity condition. When the stacking duration was short period, the stacking height determined by two methods showed a little difference between them, but almost no difference was shown as the stacking duration was longer. Allowable stacking duration was rapidly decreased with the increase of static load applied on the stacking boxes, and allowable stacking duration of Box A was estimated the longer than that of Box B. A model of allowable stacking duration for the corrugated fiberboard box was developed as a function of the stacking load and the ambient relative humidity.
