총량관리 단위유역 일평균유량의 시계열 누적 변화에 따른 유량지속곡선 차이 분석 (Analysis of the Difference of Flow Duration Curve according to the Cumulative Variation of the Daily Average Flow in Unit Watershed for TPLCs)

  • The LDC (Load Duration Curve) method can analyze river water quality changes according to flow rate and seasonal conditions. It is also possible to visually recognize whether the target water quality is exceeded or the size of the reduction load. For this reason, it is used for the optimal reduction of TPLCs and analysis of the cause of water pollution. At this time, the flow duration curve should be representative of the water body hydrologic curve, but if not, the uncertainty of the interpretation becomes big because the damaged flow condition is changed. The purpose of this study is to estimate the daily mean flow of the unit watershed using the HSPF model and to analyze the difference of the flow duration curves according to the cumulative daily mean flow rate using the NSE technique. The results show that it is desirable to construct the flow duration curve by using the daily average flow rate of at least 5 years although there is a difference by unit watershed. However, this is the result of the water bodies at the end of Han River basin watershed, so further study on various water bodies will be necessary in the future.

기상자료를 이용한 마늘 생산량 추정 (Garlic yields estimation using climate data)

  • 야외에서 재배되는 주요 채소류의 생산에 대한 기상변화의 영향력이 점차 커지고 있다. 기상변화로 인한 농작물 생산량의 변화는 공급과 수요의 불안정과 물가안정의 불안요소로 작용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 패널회귀모형을 이용하여 기상상태에 따른 마늘의 생산량을 추정하였다. 2006년부터 2015년까지의 마늘 주산지 15곳의 10a당 마늘 생산량과 해당 지역의 기상자료를 사용하였다. 7가지 기상요인 (평균기온, 평균최저기온, 평균최고기온, 누적강수량, 누적일조시간, 평균상대습도, 평균지면온도)의 월별 (1월-12월)자료인 총 84개 기상변수중 다중회귀분석 단계선택방법을 통하여 7가지 기상변수를 선택하여 패널회귀모형에 사용하였다. 고정효과 모형과 확률효과 모형을 구분하는 하우스만 검정을 통하여 확률효과 모형으로 분석한 결과 평균최고기온 (1월), 누적강수량 (3월, 10월), 누적일조시간 (4월, 10월)등이 마늘 생산량 추정에 유의한 변수로 나타났다. 또한 연도별로 추정된 생산량 추정값의 추이가 실제 생산량과 동일한 추세를 보이고 있어 제안된 패널 회귀 모형이 잘 적합됨을 확인할 수 있다.

  • The purpose of this study at water quality pollutants to propose proper management method for the Osu-A unit watershed which is the influent tributary located upstream of the Sumjin -river among the 13 unit watersheds in the Sumjin-river water system. Analyzed the correlation between flow-pollution loading and the correlation between land use type, BOD and TP items, and analyzed 8-day intervals Cumulative Flow Duration Curve (CFDC) and Load Duration Curve (LDC) to evaluate water quality damage. As a result, both BOD and TP were larger than 1 and the concentration of water pollutants increased with increasing flow. BOD was positively correlated with Urban and Field, and TP was positively correlated with Field with 0.710. As a result of the LDC, BOD was analyzed that the target water quality was achieved with the excess rate of less than 50%, and TP exceeded the target water quality by 50.1%. BOD usually exceeded the standard value (exceedance probability 50%) at low flow zone and On the other hand, TP usually exceeded the standard value at high flow zone. Monthly BOD (April to June) and TP (May to August) exceeded the standard. Sewage Wastewater treatment and non-point pollution control is Osu-A unit watersheds are effective in improving BOD and TP.

소수력발전소의 성능예측 (A Study on the Performance Prediction for Small Hydro Power Plants)

  • This paper presents the methodology to analyze flow duration characteristics and performance prediction for small hydro power(SHP) plants and its application. The flow duration curvecan be decided by using monthly rainfall data at the most of the SHP sites with no useful hydrological data. It was proved that the monthly rainfall data can be characterized by using the cumulative density function of Weibull distribution and Thiessen method were adopted to decide flow duration curve at SHP plants. And, the performance prediction has been studied and development. One SHP plant was selected and performance characteristics was analyzed by using the developed technique. Primary design specfications such as design flowrate, plant capacity, operational rate and annual electricity production for the SHP plant were estimated. It was found that the methodology developed in this study can be a useful tool to predict the performance of SHP plants and candidate sites in Korea.

Conflicting Factors in Korean Construction Industry

  • Change is inevitable and is a reality of construction projects. Most construction contracts include change clauses and allowing contractors an equitable adjustment to the contract price and duration caused by change. However, the actions of a contractor can cause a loss of productivity and furthermore can result in disruption of the whole project because of a cumulative or ripple effect. Because of its complicated nature, it becomes a complex issue to determine the cumulative impact (ripple effect) caused by single or multiple change orders. Furthermore, owners and contractors do not always agree on the adjusted contract price for the cumulative impact of the changes. A number of studies have attempted to quantify the impact of change orders on project costs and schedule. Many of these attempted to develop regression models to quantify the loss. However, regression analysis has shortcomings in dealing with many qualitative or noisy input data. This study develops ANN models to classify and quantify the labor productivity losses that are caused by the cumulative impact of change orders. The results show that ANN models give significantly improved performance compared to traditional statistical models.

An Acoustical Study on the Syllable Structures of Korean Numeric Sounds

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the syllable structures of ten Korean numeric sounds produced by ten students. Each sound was normalized by its maximum intensity value and divided into onset, vowel, and coda sections after finding abrupt or visible changes in energy values or cumulative values of lower spectral energy at each pulse point using four Praat scripts. Then, segmental durations and cumulative intensity values of each syllable were obtained to find a statistical summary of the syllable structure. Intensity values at 100 proportional time points were also collected to compare the ten sounds. Results showed as follows: Firstly, there was not much deviation from the grand average duration and intensity for the majority of the sounds except the two diphthongal sounds on which their boundary points varied among the speakers. Secondly, the onset point for the CV or CVC category sounds and the boundary between the vowel and the nasal or lateral sound were easy to identify, which may be automatically traced later. Thirdly, there seems some tradeoff among the sections maintaining the same total duration per each syllable. Further studies on syllables with various onsets or codas would be desirable to make a general statement on the Korean syllable structure.

L-Moments법에 의한 낙동강유역 월강우량의 지역가뭄빈도해석 (Regional Drought Frequency Analysis of Monthly Precipitation with L-Moments Method in Nakdong River Basin)

  • In this study, the regional frequency analysis is used to determine each subbasin drought frequency with reliable monthly precipitation and the L-Moments method which is almost unbiased and has very nearly a normal distribution is used for the parameter estimation of monthly precipitation time series in Nakdong river basin. As the result of this study, the duration of '93-'94 is most severe drought year than any other water year and the drought frequency is established as compared the regional frequency analysis result of cumulative precipitation of 12th duration months in each subbasin with that of 12th duration months in the major drought duration. The Linear regression equation is induced according to linear regression analysis of drought frequency between Nakdong total basin and each subbasin of the same drought duration. Therefore, as the foundation of this study, it can be applied proposed method and procedure of this study to the water budget analysis considering safety standards for the design of impounding facilities large-scale river basin and for this purpose, above all, it is considered that expansion of reliable preciptation data is needed in watershed rainfall station.

선원들의 누적외상성질환 발생과 관련요인 (A Survey on the Prevalence of Cumulative Trauma Disorders and Related Factors among Seafares)

  • 본 연구는 누적외상성질환 예방을 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위한 목적으로 선원 재교육기관에서 교육이수중인 569명을 대상으로 조사하였다. 최근 12개월동안 누적외상성질환 증상을 경험한 선원은 68.5%였으며, 근무시간이 길수록(p<0.01), 승선경력이 많을수록(p<0.01) 증상경험이 높았고, 직무만족도는 낮을수록 증상 경험이 높았다(p<0.05). 신체부위별 증상 경험은 허리 43.6%, 무릎 23.9%, 어깨 19.3% 순으로 높은 빈도를 보였으며, 해기사가 부원보다 목 부위만 유의하게 높게 나타났고(p<0.01), 기관부가 갑판부 보다 팔꿈치의 증상경험이 유의하게 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 통증지속기간은 7일 이하가 55.4%로 가장 많았고, 8-29일이하 20.6%, 30일이상 24%로 조사되었다. 증상 유발원인은 과중한 노동이 34.5%로 가장 높고, 원인불명이 30.1%로 조사되었다.

Assessment of radiation exposure from cesium-137 contaminated roads for epidemiological studies in Seoul, Korea

  • Objectives We aimed to assess the radiation exposure for epidemiologic investigation in residents exposed to radiation from roads that were accidentally found to be contaminated with radioactive cesium-137 ($^{137}Cs$) in Seoul. Methods Using information regarding the frequency and duration of passing via the $^{137}Cs$ contaminated roads or residing/working near the roads from the questionnaires that were obtained from 8875 residents and the measured radiation doses reported by the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission, we calculated the total cumulative dose of radiation exposure for each person. Results Sixty-three percent of the residents who responded to the questionnaire were considered as ever-exposed and 1% of them had a total cumulative dose of more than 10 mSv. The mean (minimum, maximum) duration of radiation exposure was 4.75 years (0.08, 11.98) and the geometric mean (minimum, maximum) of the total cumulative dose was 0.049 mSv (<0.001, 35.35) in the exposed. Conclusions An individual exposure assessment was performed for an epidemiological study to estimate the health risk among residents living in the vicinity of $^{137}Cs$ contaminated roads. The average exposure dose in the exposed people was less than 5% of the current guideline.

Huff의 4분위법을 이용한 지속기간별 연 최대치 강우의 시간분포 특성연구 (Time Distribution Characteristics of an Annual Maximum Rainfall According to Rainfall Durations using Huff's Method)

  • 수공구조물 설계에서 가장 중요한 일은 설계홍수량을 결정하는 것이다. 따라서 설계홍수량 산정에 영향을 미치는 여러 가지 요소 중 적절한 설계 강우의 시간분포 방법을 선택하는 것은 중요한 일이다. 설계 강우의 시간분포 방법에는 여러 가지 방법들이 있으며, 그 중에서 최근 첨두홍수량 산정을 위한 설계 강우의 시간분포 방법에 많이 이용하고 있는 Huff의 4분위법은 6시간 이상의 무강우시간을 갖는 강우사상을 자료로 이용, 분석하여 설계 강우의 시간분포 방법을 제시한 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 Huff의 4분위법에서 이용한 자료와 달리 1961년부터 2004년까지 서울지역 강우 관측자료 중 지속기간별 연 최대치 강우자료를 이용하여 강우의 시간분포 특성을 분석하고 이전의 연구 결과와 비교하였다. 각각의 결과에 대하여 비교한 결과 서울지역의 경우 연 최대치 강우의 지속기간이 짧을 경우 무차원 누가곡선이 Huff의 4분위법 결과에 비하여 비교적 완만하게 나타났으며, 지속기간이 점점 증대될수록 무차원 누가곡선은 Huff의 4분위법 결과와 유사하게 나타났다.
