Amoebic gill disease of flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus was diagnosed at commerical culture facility in South Korea. The amoeba was identified as a species of the genus Neoparamoeba based on the morpholgical characteristics of trophozoites. Transmisson electron microscopy revealed the presence of a symbiotic organism, parasome in the cytoplasm and dense glycocalyx on the surface of the trophozoites. They lacked the boat-shaped microscales on the surface and contained numerous vacuoles and channels, mitochondria in the cytoplasm. Colonization of amoebae on gill tissue elicited extensive fusion and hyperplasia of gill lamella.

As the combination of technique and art, environmental facilities have the function to improve the image of urban green space. Among these facilities, some can be designed and arranged reasonably. But to the facilities of sewage, electricity and sanitation and so on, are usually ignored and become the blemish in the green space. Based on the analysis of the status, taking the design of well cover of sewage as an example, the landscape approaches are discussed from form, material, color and artistic technique and so on.

Purpose - This study attempts to measure the management performance of a food manufacturer using the BSC as one of the main business management techniques used to achieve the vision of a corporation. Research design, data, methodology - The measurement of business performance of a Japanese food manufacturer was conducted from four perspectives of BSC. Matsui (2005) developed the 'Cross-analysis chart'. Results - First, there were many cases where a minor wastage of raw materials was related to increasing costs. Second, the food manufacturer should try to recover the investment cost through significantly increasing the rate of the facility's operations. Third, reducing personnel expenses could be an important issue in labor-intensive manufacturing. Fourth, customer management was very important in the food manufacturing business. Finally, the food manufacturer should actively consider proposals influencing the food culture to secure high profits in the future. Conclusions - There were many limitations in applying these results to Korean food manufacturers, as this study applied to and analyzed the results in the context of the Japanese food manufacturer.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to compare the characteristics of nursing work environments based on department type and to investigate the relationship between work environment and job satisfaction. Methods : The participants were 420 nurses from the ward, emergency room, intensive care unit, and operation room. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, and multiple regression test using the SPSS Win. 18.0 program. Results : The results were as follows: There was a significant difference in possibilities for development, meaning of work, recognition(reward), role clarity, and social community at work based on department type. The factors that influenced job satisfaction were influence, meaning of work, recognition(reward), role conflicts, and quality of leadership and these differed based on department type. Conclusions : The results of this study indicate that nursing work environments vary based on the type of hospital department. Therefore, it is necessary to develop diverse strategies for human resource management considering the type of department.

Fish stocking is important element of land-based aquaculture management. To maintain constant stocking rate considering biological and economic condition is a convenient strategy in intensive aquaculture. This study is aimed to analyze the effect of over-stocking(more than aquaculture capacity) for certain periods of time. This study make the mathematical decision making model that finds the value of decision variable to minimize cost that sums up the water pool usage cost and sorting cost under critical standing corp constraint. The proposed mathematical decision making model was applied to 12 sample combination of sorting cost and the number of fish on the Oliver flounder culture farms. If a immature fish can be sold for high price than farming cost, restricted over-stocking resulted in a improvement of economic performance. When extensive comparable biological and market data become available, analysis model can be widely applied to yield more accurate results.

The purpose of this study was to discuss leisure program to guarantee the leisure right of the elderly. In order to study on the change of leisure perspective and the existence of leisure need, it has based on the leisure program of the elderly in welfare institutions. It was suggested that; The contents of leisure program of the elderly would contain the change of leisure perspective, discovery of leisure need, improvement of the elderly's function(physical health, psychological satisfaction, and social relations), and development of new interest. In specific context, it was varied from the conditions and environments(space or equipment) in each institutes.

As the international society becomes more and more open, the international marine transportation demand is growing. And the growth of international tour demands and the developments of new passenger ship routes make the role of passenger terminals crucial. In this context this study analyzes and compares the terminals of Korea and Japan and defines design criteria for the construction of a passenger terminal. As a result of this study, it is proposed that an urban context, an architectural type and spatial characteristics be taken into account for the construction cf a passenger terminal. The ultimate purpose cf this study is to build a future-oriented international passenger terminal based on the result of this study, which will lead the ocean culture.

After elderly long term care insurance implementation (July 1, 2008), the elderly medical and welfare facilities covered by medical insurance continuously increases 30 to 63% sanction annually. Rapid growth of senior citizen welfare facilities arises in a poor residential environment issues. In most cases, it is the legal minimum criteria tailored for 4 persons accommodated in nature, such as the hospital. Therefore, 'Hometown-style traditional Korean House' is needed to rest comfortable for elderly people. Research goal is to provide direction and design materials by developing a type of architectural planning for the elderly welfare facilities unit care of the atmosphere of a traditional Korean House. The following two elements are applied to the elderly welfare facilities. Senior citizen welfare facilities in the main living space are applied to modern residential space of the elderly-friendly atmosphere of a traditional Korean House. It is applied for the Korean lifestyle and residential culture are through an analysis of Japan's leading development unit care system.

This study aims to present the re-structuring strategies of healthcare facilities in Kwang-ju and Jon-nam province for it's competition power in the emerging global health care market. Kwang-Ju city and Jon-nam province have had difficulties in building a balanced healthcare system because of rapidly declining population, weakened healthcare infra-structure and geographical problems of healthcare supply by numerous islands. Now, Kwang-Ju city and Jon-nam province try to be a core place of economy and culture in the west-south asia. To do so, it is fundamentally necessary to reform their current social structure including healthcare system in large scale. This Study presents the current conditions and the problems of healthcare environment in these areas.

Korea has experienced many changes since modern hospitals started to be built. Among these changes, interest in 'Promotion of Curing environment', which is the most fundamental one of the hospital functions, has increased more and more. The lobby makes the first impression of a medical building and that is an important function. Recently, the lobby became highly valued not only as a waiting area or a pathway only but as a cultural area. The lobby is considered simply as a complex and busy area because it plays an important role in the building' communications and access systems and has various uses and functions. Based on the concept of curing environment, the lobby can be planned as a facility combining culture and medical functions by applying multi therapy.
