  • Regional innovation cluster is closely related to promoting innovations through activities for knowledge sharing and exchanges among organizations in an adjacent regional context. However, performance of activities for knowledge sharing and exchanges are basically influenced by cultural characteristics of the industries or regions where the organization belongs to. • Under the background of globalization, the borderless nature of film and television language makes the exchange of film as the carrier become an important part of cultural exchanges in various countries. Therefore, film co-production between China and the United States, China and Japan, China and South Korea and other countries has become an important part of the current Chinese film industry. Among them, China and South Korea are close neighbors, and the exchanges between the two countries' films are also increasing. Korean movies have recovered since the 1990s, and they prospered at the beginning of the 21st century, and have formed a unique influence in the international community, especially in crime, suspense, love and other types of films. The co-production of Chinese and Korean films began to appear in 2000, and the signing of the "China-Korea Co-production Film Agreement" in 2014 prompted the rapid convergence of Chinese and Korean film co-productions. However, the co-productions of China and South Korea did not achieve good expectations in terms of communication effects and market evaluation. This article will use the "cultural discount" theory in cross-cultural communication to analyze the reasons for the cultural discounts produced by Chinese and Korean co-productions and how to avoid this phenomenon to the maximum extent.

  • The corridors to the north and south of the $Takl{\bar{a}}m{\bar{a}}k{\bar{a}}n$ (塔克拉瑪干 Ta-ke-la-ma-gan) Desert are the most important regions for cultural confluence on the Silk Road, where caravans made it to the Chinese capital or the Korean Peninsula by the northern road, through the city of Turfan, or the southern path of Khutan. Being an important part of the Silk Road in the course of history, this region was heavily influenced by the cultures of various nations and ethnic communities whose merchants utilized the road to advance their business. The region's language, writing system and literary structure were also affected, so much so that in the course of its tumultuous history, many words, phrases and terms belonging to neighboring cultures found their way into the region, leaving their mark on its linguistic structure. Of the cultural exchanges that took place between the peoples of the region, conspicuous traces can be seen in the architecture, music, literature, texts, and inscriptions. Located in the Turfan region, the minaret of Su Gong (蘇公 Su Gong ) is host to an inscription which bears many signs of such exchanges. As so far no independent research has been conducted to identify the cultural, literary and structural features conveyed in this inscription, the present paper is an attempt to study the inscription in terms of the script, language and syntax in order to unravel the effects of cultures prevalent on the Silk Road on this particular inscription. This study mainly aims to investigate the linguistic structure of the inscription and the impact of the Persian language on Silk Road culture. In fact, we approach the inscription as a symbol of cultural exchange on the Silk Road and will focus on the tradition of Persian inscription-making which affected the Turfan inscription.

  • In this study, we examined whether cultural stress, self-efficacy, and career-preparation behavior differed depending on the general characteristics of foreign students, and whether cultural adaptation stress and self-efficacy affect career-preparation behavior. To this end, a survey of 231 foreign students was conducted and data was analyzed using the IBM SPSS v23 statistics program. According to the study, cultural adaptation stress and self-efficacy differed depending on the general characteristics of foreign students. And cultural adaptation stress and self-efficacy have been shown to affect career-preparation behavior. Therefore, it was suggested that the government needs to develop curriculums, comparisons and programs for foreign students to help them exchange culture and adapt their studies, and that it is necessary to have professional counseling staff residing in universities to conduct career and academic counseling.

  • Electronics cultural atlas is a typical methodology for the Digital Humanities. Since electronic cultural atlas could visualize various cultural information based on electronic atlas, that is an information visualization, users are able to make intuitive understanding on specific areas. Therefore, it can be effectively utilized in Area Studies and also helps users to understand comprehensively information on historic event in particular area with time information, because electronic cultural atlas represents a particular subject and time information with geographical information based on map. In other words, electronic cultural atlas may be considered as a specialized system of Digital Humanities for studying the Humanities and Area Studies. In this paper, we design and implement mediterranean electronic cultural atlas(MECA) for researchers of the Mediterranean area that has cultural hybridity formed the exchange of various aspects such as civilization, religion, race and language. In detail, a 'Digital Humanities Research Support System' is constructed to visualize research outcomes related to the Mediterranean area on Electronic Cultural Atlas and to use for researches.

  • Glutamate dehydrogenase from axenic bacterial cultures of a new microorganism, called GWE1, isolated from the interior of a sterilization drying oven, was purified by anion-exchange and molecular-exclusion liquid chromatography. The apparent molecular mass of the native enzyme was 250.5 kDa and was shown to be an hexamer with similar subunits of molecular mass 40.5 kDa. For glutamate oxidation, the enzyme showed an optimal pH and temperature of 8.0 and $70^{\circ}C$, respectively. In contrast to other glutamate dehydrogenases isolated from bacteria, the enzyme isolated in this study can use both $NAD^+$ and $NADP^+$ as electron acceptors, displaying more affinity for $NADP^+$ than for $NAD^+$. No activity was detected with NADH or NADPH, 2-oxoglutarate and ammonia. The enzyme was exceptionally thermostable, maintaining more than 70% of activity after incubating at $100^{\circ}C$ for more than five hours suggesting being one of the most thermoestable enzymes reported in the family of dehydrogenases.
