전 세계가 문화에 관심을 갖고 적극적으로 투자하고 있으며 이에 따라 문화 콘텐츠(cultural contents) 산업 분야도 크게 성장하고 있다. 문화 콘텐츠 산업 분야는 인간의 창조와 지식이 집약된 분야로 인터넷과 디지털 기술이 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 지역의 문화 자원에 대한 디지털화 방안과 효율적인 디지털화 전략 그리고 전남 지역의 문화 콘텐츠산업에 대한 혁신 클러스터(innovative cluster) 구축 방안을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 방안은 지역의 문화관광산업의 미래 성장 동력원으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Visual analytic for intangible cultural heritage has recently developed in China. Using advanced interactive visualization tools experts can observe data distribution trends and explore the implicit relationships among data within a short time. It can enhance human cognitive and analytical abilities and improve the scientific preservation of intangible cultural heritage. To support this research topic, we have reviewed recent visualization works on intangible cultural heritage in China. We divide these works into three types: text visualization, multi-dimensional visualization, and geographical visualization. Each type is illustrated by several representative works. New development trends in this area are also discussed.

본 연구에서는 법주사 당간지주의 석재 표면에 서식하는 대표적인 생물피해 요인인 지의류에 대하여 조사하였다. 당간지주의 지의류는 5종으로 한정할 수 있다. 그 중 우점하는 2종의 고착상지의류는 Aspicilia sp.와 Pertusaria flavicans이며, 고착상지의류 위에 드물게 관찰되는 엽상지의류 1종과 수지상지의류 1종은 Xanthoparmelia conspersa와 Ramalina sekika로 동정되었다. 그리고 흑색조류층을 따라 서식하는 지의류는 Leprocaulon textum으로 확인되었다. 지의류가 생산하는 2차 대사산물을 분석하기 위하여 ATR FT-IR을 적용하였다. Xanthoparmelia conspersa와 Ramalina sekika의 FT-IR 스펙트럼을 비교해 본 결과, cyclic carbohydrate에 기인하는 C-O-C 결합과 carboxylic acid에서 기인하는 FT-IR 스펙트럼의 흡수피크가 특징적으로 관찰되어 이들이 생산하는 지의산이 서로 다르다는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, stictic acid와 sekikaic acid가 Xanthoparmelia conspersa와 Ramalina sekika를 대표하는 지의산으로 화학구조에서 작용기의 차이에 의한 스펙트럼의 변화 및 특성을 확인할 수 있었다.

빠르게 일어나는 기술의 발전과 그 안에 내재된 문화적 현상을 결합하려는 시도를 문화 컴퓨팅, 문화 모델링이라 한다. 본 논문에서는 문화 모델링 연구 추세를 기반으로 문화 사용자 인터페이스 디자인, 특히 그 중에서도 콘텐츠를 중심으로 한 문화 기반 디자인 구조를 설명한다. 문화에 기반한 콘텐츠를 디자인하기 위해서는 콘텐츠의 문화적 특성을 도출하는 구조가 필요하다. 이를 위해 Hofstede의 문화 차원 모델과 콘텐츠 데이터를 결합하여, 콘텐츠 중심의 문화 차원 지수(CiCo) 구조를 새롭게 제안한다. 또한 도출한 CiCo와 국가별 콘텐츠 선호 패턴을 결합하여 국가별 콘텐츠 문화 차원 지수인 NiCC를 도출한다. 제안하는 CiCo와 NiCC는 기존의 Hofstede 모델에 기반하였으되, 기존 모델 대비 약 10% 개선된 설명력을 갖는다.

본 연구는 관계적 접근으로 문화콘텐츠기획 모형을 탐구하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 문화콘텐츠의 개념적 접근틀을 설정하고, 문화콘텐츠 분석 및 기획을 통합적으로 할 수 있는 센텐스문화콘텐츠기획의 일반모형을 제시한다. 그것의 내용은 컨셉기획모형, 기표개발 선택기획모형, 기표배열 배치기획모형이다. 문화의 중요성은 문화인식의 중요성에서 찾아진다. 그것은 삶의 중요성 인식이기에 그러하다. 문화가 삶의 질서 속에서 구성되는 삶의 방식으로 드러나는 만큼, 문화인식은 문화콘텐츠 인식으로서의 삶의 인식으로 간주된다. 문화콘텐츠기획은 바로 이러한 건강한 삶의 질서를 구성하는 지점에 자리하고 있다는 점에서 그것의 필요성과 중요성을 가지며 올바른 문화콘텐츠기획의 존재의미를 부여받는다. 이러한 점에서 문화콘텐츠기획 모형 연구는 이론과 실천면에서 유용성을 가지며 연구의 정당성과 가치공헌을 꾀할 수 있는 가능성을 가질 것이다.

The present study focuses on the activities and efforts of the National Mission for Manuscripts (NMM) in the Uttar Pradesh region, which is known for its vast area, population, and rich cultural heritage. The aim is to examine the digitization work carried out by the NMM in this area, as digitization plays a crucial role in preserving our country's rich ancient heritage. The importance of safeguarding cultural heritage is universally acknowledged, and digitization serves as a vital tool in this endeavour. Through digitization, we can protect and preserve our heritage for future generations. The government has implemented several commendable initiatives for manuscript digitization, and the NMM stands as a prominent organization dedicated to the conservation of cultural heritage. The NMM possesses a diverse range of cultural heritage resources, including photographic slides, photographs, digital images, photo-negatives, motion pictures, audio spools, microfiche, LP records, endangered manuscripts, audio and videotapes, digital images, microfilms, digital audio and video files, and more. The mission has undertaken extensive digitization efforts to conserve and provide access to a significant portion of its collection. This study is unique as it explores the digital conservation and digitization practices of a premier institute working in the field of art and cultural heritage in Uttar Pradesh. With its extensive network of institutions, the mission aims to cover all manuscripts, digitize them, and consolidate them on a common platform for easy access and utilization.

This research aims to perform a contextual study of the wedding customs, wedding procedures, and wedding costumes included in Korean traditional wedding culture, making use of cultural contents which form cultural archetypes. The range of wedding customs studied are set limits from the Joseon dynasty to ancient times, and, for wedding procedures and costumes, to the Chosun dynasty, when a wedding ceremony became the norm. Only wedding ceremonies performed among ordinary classes are included as subjects for this research; wedding ceremonies and costumes for court are excluded. The cultural archetypes developed within these boundaries suggest prior cultural content, developed beforehand. The research methods are focused on document records inquiry and genre paintings during the Joseon era, using museum resources as visual materials. The following is the outcome of this research: Firstly, wedding customs and procedures observed among folk materials are presented in chronological order. Secondly, the brides' and grooms' wedding costumes are also presented chronologically, differentiated by class-characteristics.

In this paper, we examine the points of similarity and difference between Korea, Japan, and the USA in terms of the spin-off effects of space technology on cultural life. In Japan and the USA, spin-off effects of space development research by government funded research centers are diffusive while in Korea they are interruptive. Spin-offs of research results impact cultural life via technology transfer and commercialization in businesses. This is because the Korean aerospace industry has progressed largely based on an overall system, but the promotion of internal parts and sub-systems, which can trigger technological development and spin-off effects in manufacturing, has been neglected. In the case of the KARI, the government funded research center, we argue that it is necessary for KARI to devote more resources to transfer (or promote spin-offs of) space technology to small and medium-sized businesses and other industries.

Technology has been changing the travel experience of visitors. Particularly, augmented reality (AR) is one of the emerging technologies, which widely used in cultural heritage tourism sites. This study is based on a new technology acceptance model and future modified this model to examine the relationship between product beliefs, consumer satisfaction with AR, and destination loyalty in cultural heritage sites. Moreover, this paper examined the role of technology readiness (TR) forming travellers' loyalty of destination with a kind of travel technology--AR. The results show that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have significant effects on the satisfaction of AR towards the travellers' loyalty of destination. TR is found to have moderating effects on this model.

As the computer becomes a trend, interactive multimedia design can be one media to communicate the cultural knowledge. A folktale can be a powerful material to show a country's culture. In this project, we try to make the folktale content to be understood easily by implementing some cultural information background. The main aim of this project is to give a vision of the richness culture through the interactive multimedia technology. In this paper, we would like to show a flow map content, a streaming of design process and a visual interface design prototype. Finally, interactive multimedia design content is very useful for a transferring the richness culture because people tend to like a multimedia content. In order to make an effective interactive multimedia design content based on a cultural background, a designer should need to understand about users, culture, technology and the whole design process.
