CNC M/C을 활용한 목제문화상품디자인개발 연구 (A study on design development for wooden cultural products by using CNC M/C)

  • Opening 21th Century, all the Countries of the world has been focusing on build up the foundation of cultural infrastructure in a various way, since the awareness of importance for cultural design products has been turnover. On the other hand, our cultural crafts' industry has not escaped from poor working environment and lagging behind conventional product system, and yet there is no complete system for mass production. The study is collaboration with Tourism Industry Innovation Center in Kwangju University for development of cultural products of wooden crafts by using cultural resources in Kwangju area and CNC M/C which is up-to-date digital technology. It aims to make possibility of mass production and discrimination on design for wooden crafts which is based on highly skilled technical manpower and creativities, and expects to develop and merchandise global wooden cultural products.

Basic Research on 3D Cultural Heritage Packaging Technology Using Thermoplastic Polyurethane Elastomers

  • This study investigated mechanical property changes by measuring compression factors, resilience, and compressive strength according to packaging pattern and filling rate to identify the applicability of cultural heritage packaging using thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers (TPU). Research results indicate that the cross-shaped 3D pattern showed the best resilience when the internal filling rate was 20%, while the octet pattern was the best when the filling rate was either 40 and 60%. The octet pattern had the best mechanical properties and stability with resistance capacities of 20.79 kgf/cm2, 40.40 kgf/cm2, and 82.23 kgf/cm2 at 38%, 39%, and 40% recovery speeds, respectively, depending on the internal filling rate (20, 40, 60%). Based on these results, basic data on the applicability, stability, and reliability of 3D cultural heritage packaging materials using TPU materials were obtained.

  • Korean society is changing into multicultural society with increasing international marriage and immigrant influx. The increasing number of immigrants in Korean society suggests the necessity of social and economic integration of people with diverse cultural backgrounds. We study the entrepreneurial intention of multicultural immigrant. Cultural intelligence is closely related with sustainable value and belief to their eagerness in surviving of the 2nd country. Cultural intelligence is the individual's capability to function or manage effectively in different cultural settings or in multicultural settings. It is assumed that the cultural intelligence of multicultural immigrant might affect the entrepreneurial intention. Based on the theory of planned behavior, we set up the research model. 243 usable responses of multicultural immigrants in Korea were analyzed. Our findings suggest that cultural intelligence positively affected entrepreneurial intention by affecting subjective norm and perceived behavior control. This study contributed the study of the entrepreneurial intention and multicultural immigrant.

  • 현 문화재 교육방식은 대부분이 시대의 흐름과 기술의 발전에 적합하지 못한 단순 주입식이나 지식 전달로 이루어지고 있다. 이를 보강하기 위해서 동영상이나 영상을 이용한 멀티미디어 요소를 이용하고 있지만 여전히 한계가 있다. 주입식 교육은 지식전달이라는 목적은 달성하고 있지만 창의력과 사고력이 발달할 시기인 성장기 학습자의 흥미를 유발시키기에는 제약이 따른다. 본 논문에서는 이에 대한 해결방안으로 HMD를 이용한 VR 체험형 문화재 콘텐츠를 제안한다. 사용자의 간접 체험과 흥미를 유발하기 위하여 세계의 유명 관광 문화재를 선택하였다. 사용자의 직접적인 선택의 느낌을 부여하기위해서 Leapmotion 인터렉션을 사용하여 학습 참여도를 높이고자 하였다. 문화재에 대한 지식을 제공하는 것과 함께 퍼즐 게임을 즐기면서 문화재에 대한 인식을 증대하고자 하였다. 또한 360VR 동영상을 제공하여 체험과 더불어 시각적 몰입감을 제공하여 흥미를 유발하였다. 제안된 콘텐츠를 검증하기 위해 사용자평가를 실시하였다.

건축 문화재 용어의 법제도적 개념 정의를 위한 기초 연구 (A Basic Study for the Legal Definition of Cultural Property Terminology related to the Architecture)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the legal definition and usage of cultural property term related to the architecture within the cultural property-related legal system and general legal system, and to present proper terminology and specific concepts that can be used for the architecture as cultural properties. In the current cultural property legislative system, terms about the architecture are diverse and obscure, and the definition of each term is different from the concept in the general legal system. In this context, this study presented the terminology of 'the architectural heritage' as 'a cultural property by construction act' to cover whole cultural properties related to Korean architecture. And the conceptual scope of the architectural heritage is divided into the technology and the performer related to the act, the record and the building related to the product. and Each concept needs to be specifically tailored to its object and scope. Systematic definition of terms for cultural properties related the architecture can positively influence systematization of cultural property preservation and management as well as empirical research and education on Korean architecture.

흰개미 장내 효소 활성 억제로 목재의 섭식을 저해하는 보존 처리제의 탐색 (Exploration of Preservatives that Inhibit Wood Feeding by Inhibiting Termite Intestinal Enzyme Activity)

  • 우리나라는 울릉도 및 제주도를 포함한 전국에서 흰개미에 의한 목조 문화재의 피해가 보고되어 있다. 흰개미에 의한 피해를 감소시키고자 훈증처리나 토양에 약물을 처리하여 살충 및 방충을 하는 것이 대부분이며 비용과 안전성의 문제로 인해 점점 처리하는 횟수가 감소하는 추세이다. 이런 상황을 대처하기 위해 새로운 방법이 필요한 실정이므로 전남 신안에서 채집한 흰개미에서 일개미만 선별하여 효소를 추출한 후 목재 구성성분인 cellulose와 hemicellulose의 xylan을 기질로 하여 효소 활성을 측정한 결과, 분자량이 큰 cellulose 보다 xylan에서 흰개미 장내 효소의 활성이 크게 나타났다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 xylan을 기질로 하여 흰개미 장내 효소의 활성을 억제하는 약용식물 추출물 600여 종을 탐색한 결과, 용뇌, 마황, 박하뇌에서 억제효과가 크게 나타났다. 선별된 용뇌(Borneolum Syntheticum), 마황(Ephedra sinica), 박하뇌(Menthol) 추출물은 흰개미 장내 효소의 활성을 억제할 뿐만 아니라 직접 처리한 결과에서도 살충활성 및 섭식 저해 효과가 있음을 확인하였다.

Meat Consumption Culture in Ethiopia

  • The consumption of animal flesh food in Ethiopia has associated with cultural practices. Meat plays pivotal and vital parts in special occasions and its cultural symbolic weight is markedly greater than that accorded to most other food. Processing and cooking of poultry is a gender based duty and has socio-cultural roles. Ethiopians are dependent on limited types of animals for meats due to the taboo associated culturally. Moreover, the consumption of meat and meat products has a very tidy association with religious beliefs, and are influenced by religions. The main religions of Ethiopia have their own peculiar doctrines of setting the feeding habits and customs of their followers. They influence meat products consumption through dictating the source animals that should be used or not be used for food, and scheduling the days of the years in periodical permeation and restriction of consumptions which in turn influences the pattern of meat consumption in the country. In Ethiopia, a cow or an ox is commonly butchered for the sole purpose of selling within the community. In special occasions, people have a cultural ceremony of slaughtering cow or ox and sharing among the group, called Kircha, which is a very common option of the people in rural area where access of meat is challenging frequently.

건식 인공열화 시 밀랍본 시제품의 제본부위별 광학적 특성변화 비교분석 (Comparative Analysis of the Optical Aging Patterns in Different Partitions of the Beeswax-Treated Volume during Dry Heating Aging at $105^{\circ}C$)

  • Patterns and levels of aging vary between the book volume and sheets, even though both are made from the same paper materials. In case of book format, the outside is more easily affected than inner side by environmental factors such as temperature, humidity and air. In this study, the change in optical properties after dry heating accelerated aging was comparatively analyzed to understand the difference of the optical aging characteristics between outside and inner side of the duplicated beeswax-treated volume. It is found that the cover pages of the beeswax-treated volumes were more optically deteriorated than their middle pages. This indicates that outer sides of aging book volume directly exposed to the air is more vulnerable to serious deterioration than inner sides. Also, aromatic compounds such as benzoic acid and cinnamic acid were observed in the investigation of UV/VIS absorbance of the beeswax in each aged sample.

  • 기존의 문화재 의무교육과정은 흥미와 가시성 측면의 부족함으로 인해 교육적인 효과를 기대하기 어려운 측면이 있다. 본 연구에서는 4차산업혁명 시대를 맞아 주목 받고 있는 증강현실의 다중마커 인식 기술을 기반으로 문화재 3차원 데이터를 활용한 응용콘텐츠 및 교구재를 제작하여 대중적으로 문화재를 즐기며 학습 할 수 있도록 하는 증강현실 어플리케이션을 제안한다. 다수의 마커를 인식 가능한 다중마커 기술의 콘텐츠의 경우 다양한 이벤트 추가와 연출력을 강화할 수 있다. 향후 제안하는 증강현실 앱은 문화재를 활용한 다양한 교육용 콘텐츠 제작기술 연구에 활용될 것이라 사료된다.
