알렉산드르 밤필로프 희곡의 영상화 연구 《9월의 휴가》를 중심으로 (A Study of Aleksandr Vampilov's Play and Film)

  • "Duck Hunting" is the most psychological play with unique structure written by Aleksandr Vampilov. The play describes protagonist hero's furious behavior with psychological instability, therefore, this play tends to be recognized as serious and complicated one. After the death of Vampilov, "Duck Hunting" was reproduced as a film, titled as "Vacation in September." This study is designed to shed light on the play's psychological-dramatic factors by focusing on the structure of narrative and spatial-temporal objet. Also, this study compared the screenshots of the play with their textual meanings, then concentrated on main character's psychological features. By focusing on protagonist hero's mind, this study tries to look into the features of the play and its meanings for modern period. The film's plot is a kind of story telling structure based on main character's memory. The short stories of main character represents that Jilov(main character's name)'s losing his own life. The audience can acknowledge that Jilov's life as a duck hunter who is cynical, ideological, lazy, and self-interest oriented person. This play provokes the audience to compare their life to Jilov's one because such comparison helps the audience recognize their lives as surplus style of life with nihilism. Jilov as a character represents one of Soviet's generation with the feeling of great loss in 1960s.

한(韓)·중(中) 친족 호칭 '형수'와 '제수'에 대한 통시적(通時的) 비교 (A Diachronic Comparison of korean and chinese kinship terms : about 'elder brother's wife' and 'younger brother's wife')

  • In China, elder brother's wife is called 'Sao' or 'Saozi' and younger brother's wife is called 'Fu' or 'Difu', etc. On the other hand, In Korea is called 'Hyeongsu' and 'Jesu'. This paper aims to find that Korean and Chinese kinship terminology 'Hyeongsu' and 'Jesu's origin and characteristics. And considerd reason that Korean kinship terms different changed with Chineses and investigated whether the presence of native language. In China, Kinship term reflected strict species act. Therefore, for elder brother's wife to give dignity 'Sao' in the title that made separately. In other hand, sister-in-law used 'Fu that means submission. The first was to use the same type of Kinship terms in the Korean and Chinese. Because Korea accept of the China's relative terms. But gradually confusion about the meaning of the original issued 'Sao' and wrong term 'Jesu' appeared. In response, 'Hyeongsu' as a two-syllable terms was shown whence they came. Also through literature shows that '아??마', '아??마니 is called native tongue.

  • This paper is a study on The Korea Magzine. The magazine has a series. One of them is KOREA'S NOTED WOMEN. This is the women who are all Chinese women. They are Yo-WHA-SI(여와씨), A-WHANG, YU-YUNG(아황과 여영), T'AI-IM AND T'AI-SA(태임과 태사), WANG SO-KOON(왕소군), Su Wang Mo(서왕모), Yang Kwi-pi(양귀비), SU-SI(서시), TAK MOON-KOON(탁문군). The story of the women in the magazine were studied in a series of articles of reasons. First, it is because the Chinese women living in the hearts of Koreans. Second, the Koreans because these women want to love passionately, and be like. Third, because the Chinese women was also well-known in Korea as well known in East Asia. Was This series is used in any way. Features shown in the description was investigated. It explains how to understand what they Korea. Deliberately omitted, and were also added. I also used the analogy and comparison. This does not make sense but were accepted. Finally, we fully understand and take advantage of the literature.

Comparison of the Democratic Concepts of the People in Mainland China and Taiwan: Support and Understanding

  • Through an empirical comparative analysis, we found that people in mainland China and Taiwan demonstrate strong similarities in their support for democracy, based on democratic suitability, efficiency, preference, and priority. There are also differences in beliefs about democratic values. Compared to people in mainland China, the Taiwanese have a deeper and more widely shared belief in the principles of participation and pluralism, while the differences between their beliefs in the principles of equality, freedom, and checks and balances are narrow. Furthermore, people in mainland China and Taiwan have a strong similarity in their understanding of democracy, that is, they all present a mixed democratic understanding based on substantive bias. Overall, although the differences between mainland China and Taiwan's democratic practices are reflected in the level of value identification from the perspective of democratic support and democratic understanding, the popular democratic political culture in mainland China and Taiwan still has a relatively broad consensus. Thus, the integration and development of cross-strait relations not only has an increasingly profound social and economic foundation but also considerable consensus and mass support on the political and cultural level.

중국(中國) 청(淸) 왕조시대(王朝時代)와 일본(日本) 강호시대(江戶時代)의 미의식(美意識)에 따른 화장문화(化粧文化) 비교 연구 (Comparison Study on the Make-up Cultures between the Ching dynasty in China and the Edo Age in Japan based on their Aesthetic Consciousness)

  • China and Japan are geographically close and the two countries had shared the Chinese Character Culture and the thoughts of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism since the ancient age. They also actively exchanged culture in various areas. Some cultural exchanges had been caused by surrounding environment and culture had been introduced to other country in a natural way; while some cultural exchanges had been forcibly introduced through artificial process. It is believed that such cultural phenomenon must have had impact on the make-up cultures of the two countries and it was assumed that there must have been commons and differences in the make-up cultures of the two countries. This study explored the historical background of the Ching dynasty of China and the Edo Age in Japan, which are in the same time frame, and studied the aesthetic consciousness of the two countries at the time. Then the make-up style of ladies in the two countries had been studied to find out how their aesthetic consciousnesses had been expressed in the make-ups of the two countries. Then the commons and differences in make-up skills between the two countries had been identified. According to the study results, the main stream of aesthetics during the Ching dynasty in China can be classified into Confucianism aesthetics and Taoism aesthetics. On the other hand, the main stream of aesthetics during the Edo Age in Japan can be classified into "mitate(見立)", "ikki(いき)" and "garumi(かるみ). The skin care in the make-up culture of Ching dynasty in China was based on "rouge (?脂, yanzhi)" and "powder(粉, fen)". The Ching ladies loved the make-up style using rouge. It had been same both in the high society and common people. The eyebrow care was delicate and curved so that the feminine beauty with elegant spirit could be emphasized. The lips had been expressed to be smaller and the ladies tried to express elegance and reliability, rather than frail and tender feminine image. The skin care in the make-up culture of Edo Age in Japan focused on even applying of white powder so that the face would look soft. The eyebrow make-up was a very important part of the make-up. The shapes of eyebrow had been advanced in various styles and there had been eyebrow make-up styles such as "crescent-shaped brow (三日月), "crane style brow (鶴眉) and "Tang style brow (唐眉). The lips had been applied of thick red color, imitating the make-up skill of the ladies in the entertainment business. The lips make-up skill expressing the lips in two colors had been quite popular. Among the make-up skills during the Edo Age in Japan, the "black teeth (齒黑)" can be said as the most unique make-up style of Edo Age.

동아시아 소화(笑話)·속담(俗談)속의 동물조합 상징성 비교 (A Comparative Study on the Symbolism of the Combination of Animals One Another in East Asian Comedic Stories and Proverbs)

  • 동물관련 관용어는 비유 상징코드로써 각 문화권에서 일찍부터 발달되어 왔다. "인재가 쓰이면 호랑이가 되고 재야에 버려지면 쥐가 될 뿐."이라고 역설한 동방삭(東方朔)의 동물조합 비유도 그러한 경우이다. 하지만 오늘날 중국에서 호랑이를 거물급 탐관오리로, 쥐를 작은 탐관오리로 비유하는 것에서도 알 수 있듯이, 그러한 상징성이 늘 고정불변인 것은 아니다. 이에 본고에서는 동물조합 상징성이 보이는 이러한 상대성 및 가변성에 주목하면서 한중일 3국에서의 동물조합 상징성의 특징을 고찰해 보았다. 그리고 그 결과 다음의 3가지 사실을 알 수 있었다. 첫 번째로, 유사한 동물조합에 있어서 동물조합이 달라지는 변용과정에는 해당조합을 바라보는 관점의 차이가 문화권마다 존재함을 알 수 있었다. 가령, 한국에서는 말과 소의 두 동물을 조합하였을 때, 그 두 동물사이의 '다름'에 주목하는 경향이 있다. 하지만 중국과 일본에서는 말과 소의 '가치'의 차이를 비교하는 관점이 상대적으로 더 발달하였다. 두 번째로, 한국에 비해 중국과 일본에서는 두 동물의 외형적 행동적 특성을 의인화한 상징방식이 비교적 발달하였다. 특히 중국에서는 "개는 남자, 닭은 여자."처럼 동물의 종류가 남녀성별을 나타내거나 "갓 난 송아지 범 무서운 줄 모른다."처럼 특정연령대를 의인화 상징하는 방식이 상대적으로 더 발달하였다. 반면 일본에서는 한 종류의 동물을 암수 한 쌍으로 조합시켜 남녀성별을 상징하는 방식이 비교적 발달하였음을 알 수 있었다. 세 번째로, 중국과 일본에서는 동물신체 특성에 착안한 동물조합 상징이 한국에 비해 발달하였다. '용두사미'라는 중국 고사 성어에서의 용의 머리와 뱀의 꼬리의 조합이 그러하며, "용의 수염(역린)을 만지고 호랑이 꼬리를 밟는다."라는 일본 속담에서 보이는 신체부위 조합이 또한 그러하다. 이러한 동물신체 조합을 통한 상징방식은 중국에서 일찍이 발달하였으며, 그 영향은 용, 기린, 봉황처럼 여러 동물의 신체부위 조합에 의한 상상속의 동물 탄생으로 나타난다. 동물조합은 동아시아 문화를 이해하는 하나의 중요 키워드라 할 수 있다.

대학생 소비자의 물질주의와 쾌락적.효용적 쇼핑가치 비교연구 : 한국, 미국, 일본 대학생을 대상으로 (Cross-Cultural Comparison of Materialism and Hedonic & Utilitarian Shopping Value : Using Korean, American, and Japanese College Students)

  • The objectives of this study are to compare the levels of materialism with hedonic-utilitarian shopping values among 645 college students in Ulsan and Seoul, Korea; Columbus, Ohio, USA; and Nagasaki, Japan, and to analyze the impact of materialism on hedonic-utilitarian shopping values. As for the levels of hedonic shopping values, the students in Japan and Ulsan had the highest of all, whereas for the levels of utilitarian shopping values, those in Ulsan had the highest. For the levels of materialism, the students in Ulsan had the highest of all and those in Seoul had the lowest. And three scales in the materialism had a different influence on hedonic-utilitarian shopping values.

Small Business Innovation Research Program in the United States: A Political Review and Implications for East Asian Countries

  • The study examines the U.S. Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, with a focus on the recent Reauthorization, and compares, in the political context, the U.S. and East Asian countries-Japan, Korea and Taiwan-that adopted the U.S. SBIR program. For the systematic analysis and cross-country comparison, the study employs Kingdon (2003)'s framework-his political theory and Garbage Can Model-to identify political participants and processes underlying the SBIR Reauthorization and to analyze the differences in problem, policy, and politics streams between the U.S. and East Asian countries. For the cross-country comparison, specifically, the study uses various data sources such as OECD, Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions, and World Value Survey. Based on the analysis outcomes, implications of U.S. practices on East Asian countries are extracted as follows. East Asian countries tend to: Have higher entrepreneurial aspiration while lower entrepreneurial activity and attitude than the U.S.; bear higher long term orientation and uncertainty avoidance while lower individualism than the U.S.; and have greater expectations of technology development and higher confidence in political parties while participating less in political action than the U.S. Drawing on the differences, the following policy recommendations are suggested. East Asian countries should: Improve entrepreneurs' access to resources (in particular, financial resource) in order to link their high entrepreneurial aspiration to actual entrepreneurial activities; cultivate failure-tolerating culture and risk-taking entrepreneurs, for instance, by providing a second chance to SBIR-participating businesses that failed to materialize their innovative ideas; and leverage their high expectations of new technology in order to take bold actions regarding their SBIR programs, and update the programs by drawing out constructive dialogues between SBIR stakeholders.

푸슈킨의 자화상 연구 (A Study on Pushkin's Self-Portraits)

  • 이 글은 백여 점의 스케치로 남은 푸슈킨의 자화상을 연구 대상으로 삼는다. 푸슈킨은 평생에 걸쳐 다양한 모습으로 변장한 다채로운 자화상을 그렸다. 푸슈킨 외에도 많은 작가들이 자화상을 그렸으나 그 수량과 유명세로 볼 때 시인의 것을 뛰어넘는 자화상을 찾기란 어렵다. 이 점에 주목하며 본문에서는 우선 19세기 낭만주의 시기 만개한 회화 장르로서의 자화상 전통에 의거하여 시인의 자화상이 차지하는 위치를 점검한다. 이어서 푸슈킨의 자화상이 거의 다 측면상 구도를 사용하고 있다는 점에 초점을 맞추어 그 배경 및 의미를 추적한다. 끝으로, 푸슈킨 자화상에 담긴 철학적 함의를 규명하기 위하여 렘브란트의 자화상과 몽테뉴의 "수상록"을 동시에 펼쳐 읽는다.

한국 전통 견직물에 대한 한$\cdot$미 주관적 촉감의 비교 (Cross-Cultural Comparison of Touch Sensation for Korean Traditional Silk fabrics)

  • 서로 다른 한국 전통 견직물의 촉감에 대한 주관적 감각의 한$\cdot$미 양국의 차이를 고찰하고 전통 견직물의 주관적 촉감에 영향을 미치는 역학적 성질을 규명하고자, 한국인과 미국인 각 20명을 대상으로 의미분별척도에 의하여 서로 다른 6개의 한국 전통 견직물의 촉감(딱딱함, 매끄러움, 성김, 시원함, 유연함, 까실거림, 무게, 두께)을 평가하였다. '매끄러움'과 '성금', '까실거림', '두꺼움'은 한$\cdot$미 양국인의 평가가 유사한 경향을 나타내어, 공단과 뉴똥은 매끄럽고 치밀하며 흐믈거리고 두껍다고 평가받은 반면, 갑사와 숙고사, 항라는 거칠고 성글며 까실 거리고 얇다고 평가되었다. '시원함'과 '유연함'에 대해서는 한$\cdot$미 양국인의 주관적 평가에 차이가 있어 '시원함'의 평가에서 한국인의 점수는 미국인에 비하여 직물별로 큰 차이를 나타내어 한국인은 전통 견직물 촉감의 '시원함'에 보다 민감한 것으로 나타났으며, '유연함'에 대해서는 한국인보다 미국인이 공단과 갑사, 숙고사의 촉감을 더 유연한 것으로 평가하였다. 견직물의 주관적 촉감을 예측하는 회귀식에서 한국인의 촉감은 표면특성과 굽힘 특성에 의해, 미국인의 촉감은 표면특성과 인장특성, 압축특성에 의해 주로 예측되었는데, 특히 미국인의 '시원함'은 압축회복성에 의해, '유연함'은 인장 회복성에 의해 예측되는 것으로 나타나, 미국시장을 위한 전통 견직물의 감성적 설계에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
