Using Features as the Knowledge Carrier for Cross Company Collaboration and Change Management - A design methodology for compressing lead-time from plastic part design to mold making

  • This paper presents a methodology in which the knowledge of design intents and change requests is communicated unambiguously cross collaboration partners through features. The domain of application is focused on the plastic part design for enabling effective collaboration between the product design and plastic mold making. The methodology takes the feature-based design approach and allows design features and knowledge to be reused in plastic injection mold design. It shortens the mold design lead-time, reduces mold design efforts, and enables unambiguous and fast design change management between product and mold designers. These contribute to the reduction of product development cycle time.

  • 현재 사용되는 디지털 신호처리 방식의 GPS(Global Positioning System) 수신기는 최소의 RF 블록만을 이용하여 모든 디지털 신호 처리를 소프트웨어로 수행하고 있다. 소프트웨어 GPS수신기의 장점으로는 디지털 신호처리 과정이 모두 소프트웨어로 구현되어 있기 때문에 새로운 구현 방식이나 알고리즘을 적용할 시, 하드웨어 변경은 필요가 없게 되고, 소프트웨어 재설계만으로 가능하다. GPS 수신기의 Tracking module 성능은 DLL discriminator function과 FLL discriminator function의 Algorithm에 의해서 영향을 받게 된다. DLL discriminator function algorithm에는 dot-product 와 normalized dot-product 방법 등이 있으며, FLL discriminator function algorithm에는 sign(dot)(cross)-product 와 cross-product 그리고 ATAN 방법이 있다. 이러한 discriminator function들은 algorithm에 따라 input error에 대한 discriminator의 출력 값을 일정한 범위에서의 차이를 나타내게 되면서 ranging accuracy에서 차이가 나타나게 된다. 본 논문에서는 Nordnav 소프트웨어 GPS 수신기를 이용하여 DLL discriminator algorithm과 FLL discriminator algorithm의 성능을 비교, 분석을 하고 Tracking accuracy, sensibility, 그리고 multipath rejection에 대해서 알아보고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we obtain the general solution and the stability of the 2-dimensional vector variable quadratic functional equation f( x + y, z - w) + f(x - y, z + w) = 2f(x, z ) + 2f(y, ${\omega}$). The quadratic form f( x, y) = $ax^2$ + $by^2$ without cross product terms is a solution of the above functional equation.

  • 기업의 입장에서 가장 중요한 이유 중 하나는 자사에 있는 많은 고객들 중 회사에 수익을 가져다 줄 수 있는 고객이 누구인가라는 문제이다. 이러한 문제에 대한 기업의 고객 관리 전략 중 하나가 ‘교차판매(cross-sell)’ 전략이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 A손해보험사의 고객 데이터베이스를 활용하여 데이터마이닝 모형 개발이 어떻게 진행되고 있는지 실제 프로젝트를 중심으로 설명하고자 한다. 특히, 본 연구에서 목표로 하고 있는 것은 기존의 자동차보험에 가입한 보험사 고객 중에서 장기보험 및 세부 보험(상해, 질병, 암, 화제 보험 등)에 추가로 가입하는 고객의 특성을 파악하기 위한 교차판매 스코어링 모형을 개발하는 것이다.

  • Consumers currently show cross-channel shopping behavior between the Internet and store-based retail types when searching information and purchasing sensory products such as fashion items to reduce risks. As consumers compare both types of stores before making a purchase decision, the Internet retail type and store-based retail type started conflicting/competing each other as the combined retail evolution theory proposed(Kim & Kincade, 2006). The purpose of this study is to examine consumers' cross-channel shopping behavior between the Internet and store-based retail types and their importance and satisfaction with information provided by the Internet retail stores. This study employs a quantitative research method using a survey. Demographics, types of stores used for purchase, satisfaction with the type of stores, Internet shopping behavior, importance and satisfaction with product information in the Internet retail stores were asked. MANOVA and descriptive statistics were used to test hypotheses. The result shows that a majority of participants(36.2%) shows cross-channel shopping behavior between the two retail types. Also, most participants(72.4%) decide on their purchase and are satisfied only after cross-channel shopping between the two retail types. Participants were grouped based on their information search and purchase behavior. Significant differences among the groups were found in importance and satisfaction with product information provided by the Internet stores. In measuring participants' satisfaction, a majority of participants(42.1%) showed satisfaction with their purchase at store-based retail stores after information search via the internet, followed by the satisfaction with the purchase at the internet retail stores after information search at store-based retail stores(30.3%). Fifty one point nine percent of participants search information via the internet(vs.48% at store-based retail stores), and they especially look for fiber contents and design details with pictures(37.4%). The satisfaction with price information provided by the Internet retail stores is the highest (m=3.70 out of 5.0) among fashion product information followed by design information(m=3.48). On the other hand, size information, refund/exchange and fiber content information received low satisfaction scores(m=2.81, 2.71, 2.57 in turn). This research suggests the Internet retail stores should provide more variety of information in detail using technology and improving customer services. This study could provide the Internet retail stores a guideline to establish a satisfactory information delivery system.

  • 본 논문은 적외선 영상 시퀀스 (infrared image sequences)에서 시간적 프로파일 (temporal profile)을 기반으로 한 시간적 화소 (temporal pixel)들의 외적 (cross product)을 사용한 새로운 소형 표적 검출 방법을 제안한다. 소형 표적 및 그 주변배경은 시간적 특성이 서로 다르므로, 시간적 프로파일에서 화소들의 외적을 사용한 가설검증을 통하여 표적 화소 및 배경화소를 구분하고, 그 결과를 기반으로 시간적 배경 (temporal background)을 예측한다. 소형 표적은 원 시간적 프로파일과 예측된 시간적 배경 프로파일의 차에 의해 검출한다. 기존 방법과 제안한 방법의 성능 비교를 위하여, ROC (receiver operating characteristics) 곡선을 실험에서 사용하였다. 실험결과에서 제안된 방법이 기존방법들보다 오경보율 (false alarm rate)이 낮고, 표적 및 배경에 대한 향상된 식별력을 가짐을 확인하였다.

The Influence of Collision Energy on the Reaction H+HS→H2+S

  • Quasi-classical trajectory calculations have been carried out for the reaction H+HS by using the newest triplet 3A" potential energy surface (PES). The effects of the collision energy and reagent initial rotational excitation are studied. The cross sections and thermal rate constants for the title reaction are calculated. The results indicate that the integral cross sections (ICSs) are sensitive to the collision energy and almost independent to the initial rotational states. The ro-vibrational distributions for the product $H_2$ at different collision energies are presented. The investigations on the vector correlations are also performed. It is found that the collision energies play a postive role on the forward scatter of the product molecules. There is a negative influence on both the alignment and orientation of the product angular momentum for low collision energy at low energy region. Whereas the influence of collision energy is not obvious at high energy region.

반응표면 분석법을 이용한 오미자편의 물성특성 (Optimization of Rheological Properties for the Processing of Omija-pyun(Omija jelly) by Response Surface Methodology)

  • The optimization of Omija-pyun as a traditional dessert, with the most European taste and year round availability, was studied with regard to its texture. The response surface methodology was used to determine the optimal composition of Omija-pyun as a European style dessert. The texture, including the springiness, gumminess, cohesiveness, adhesiveness, hardness and chewiness, was measured using TPA parameters (TA-HD Texture Analyser, stable micro system, UK). The texture of Omija-pyun was influenced by pectin and sucrose to the first linear order. The properties of springiness and adhesiveness were influenced by pectin x pectin to the second quadratic order. No cross product effects between ingredients were found from the analysis. The maximum springiness was obtained with 42g of pectin, 450g of sucrose, 110g of glucose syrup and 4.8g of tartaric acid. The maximum chewiness was with 55g of pectin, 330g of sucrose, 140g of glucose syrup and 5.7g of tartaric acid. The maximum adhesiveness was achieved using 17g of pectin and 400g of sucrose. The gumminess and hardness increased with increasing pectin content, and a cross product effect was observed(Eds note: you said earlier that no cross product effects between the ingredients was found\ulcorner) between sucrose and glucose syrup.

  • Concurrent Engineering is one of the methods which are used for the rapid product development. One of the important features in Concurrent Egineering is that the development process is to be parallel and the organization should be cross-functional. In order that the process be parallel and that the organization be cross-functional, an integrated information system such as PDM (Product Data Management) is required. Although the integrated data base is constructed, it could be meaningless if the application softwares were not inter-operable. This study shows an example of intergrated information system from three-dimensional product design to mold design and tooling for the development of Deflection Yoke(DY) which is one of the important parts of Cathode Ray Tube(CRT). A three-dimensional product design software, which is based on a commercial code, has been developed by ourselves. Selective Laser Sintering(SLS), which is one of the rapid prototyping techniques, has been used in this study. Mold design has been done by the three-dimensional way. A newly developed method of mold tooling, which is called Quick Die Manufacturing(QDM), has been introduced.

  • This study investigated the differences in the effects of the perception of the internet fashion shopping mall characteristics on satisfaction and loyalty of internet fashion shopping mall between Korean and American college students. Questionnaires were administered to 251 Korean and 221 American college students. The results were as follows. First, service and product diversity had significant effects on satisfaction of internet fashion shopping mall in both group, while convenience had a significant impact on satisfaction of internet fashion shopping mall in American group. Second, service, product diversity, and promotion had significant influences on repurchase intention of internet fashion shopping mall in Korean consumer group, while service and reliability, product diversity, and convenience had significant effects on repurchase intention of internet fashion shopping mall in American consumer group. Third, service had a significant effect on recommendation intention in Korean group, while service and reliability and product diversity had significant influences on recommendation intention in American group.
