최소단면 보수지역의 평탄성 평가 (Evaluation of Pavement Smoothness on Optimized Rehabilitated Section)

  • 본 논문에서는 최소단면 보수가 완료된 아스팔트 콘크리트 포장의 평탄성 평가를 위하여 경량 프로파일러를 이용하여 측정하였으며 평탄성 분석을 실시하였다. 측정 프로파일러의 정확도를 검토하기 위하여 2회 측정한 프로파일을 이용하여 반복성(repeatability) 검증을 수행하였다. Cross-Corelation 함수를 이용하여 측정치간의 일치를 검증하였다. 최소단면 보수가 이루어진 아스팔트 콘크리트 포장 부분과 기존 포장의 평탄성을 국제평탄성지수와 PrI 지수를 비교 분석하였으며, 최소단면 보수가 이루어진 차선의 평탄성이 대체적으로 좋지 않았다. 향후 최소단면 보수 지역의 평탄성 평가에 대한 기초자료로 사용할 수 있다고 판단된다.

정규화된 표준편차 및 교차상관계수를 이용한 제주도 표선유역 중산간지역의 지하수위 변동성 분석 (Analysis of groundwater level variability in the middle mountain area of Pyoseon watershed in Jeju Island using normalized standard deviation and cross correlation coefficient)

  • 지하수자원의 적절한 관리를 위한 정보제공을 위해서는 강수량과 지하수 취수가 지하수위에 미치는 영향분석이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 제주도 남동쪽 표선유역 중 산간지역 9개 지하수위 관측정 지점을 대상으로 정규화된 표준편차에 의해 변환된 시계열자료와 교차상관계수를 이용하여 강수량-지하수위 및 지하수취수량-지하수위 간의 상관성을 비교분석하였다. 먼저 일단위 원시 시계열자료를 이용하여 강수량-지하수위의 교차상관계수를 산정한 결과 최대 0.3의 낮은 교차상관계수를 가졌으나 정규화된 표준편차를 이용한 결과는 최대 0.8의 교차상관계수를 얻음으로써 더욱 명확한 상관성을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 강수량의 변동성과 지하수위의 변동성은 대부분 양의 교차상관계수를 가졌으나, 취수량의 변동성과 지하수위의 변동성은 대부분 음의 교차상관계수를 가짐으로써 본 연구 대상지역의 지하수위는 취수량의 영향은 거의 받지 않고 강수량의 영향을 크게 받음을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 성판악과 교래 강우관측소가 관측정 지하수위에 미치는 상대적인 영향을 비교분석한 결과 상대적으로 하류쪽에 위치한 교래 강우관측소의 강수량이 더 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구에서 사용한 지하수위 변동분석 방법은 향후 다른 지역의 강수량과 지하수 취수량이 지하수위 변동성에 미치는 영향분석에 간편하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

소변 중 다환방향족탄화수소 대사체의 분석법 확립 및 교차분석 (Method Development and Cross Validation of Analysis of Hydroxylated Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (OH-PAHs) in Human Urine)

  • Objectives: This study was performed to evaluate the analytical method for PAH metabolites in human urine using enzyme hydrolysis and solid-phase extraction coupled with LC-(ESI)-MS/MS technique. Methods: We employed HPLC tandem mass spectrometry techniques with appropriate pre-treatment for analysis of 16 OH-PAHs in human urine. Samples were hydrolysis by ${\beta}$-flucuronidase/Aryl sulfatase, and target compounds were extracted by solid-phase extraction with a strata-x cartridge. Cross-validation was performed between Eulji University and Green Cross laboratories with 200 human urine samples. Results: The accuracies were between 90.3% and 118.8%, and precisions (relative standard deviations) were lower than 10%. The linearity obtained was satisfying for the 16 OH-PAH compounds, with a coefficient of determination ($r^2$) higher than 0.99. The results of cross-validation at the two organizations were compared by ICC (interclass correlation coefficient) values. The cross-validation results were excellent or good for all compounds. Conclusion: An analytical method was validated for low nanogram levels of 16 OH-PAHs in human urine. Also, satisfying results were obtained for method validation such as accuracy, precision and ICC of cross-validation.

광화학스모그물질의 시계열특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Time-Series Characteristics of Photochemical Smog Materials)

  • For the efficient control of photochemical smog materials, the researches on the change patterns of photochemical smog precursors are indispensable. In this study, a time-series analysis was performed for the auto-monitoring data of Kwanghwamun and Jamsil stations in 1990, and the change patterns of photochemical smog materials were studied. Especially, auto-correlation coefficients were analyzed to investigate the cyclic characteristics of pollutants in question and cross-correlation coefficients to investigate the correlations between pollutants adjusted for time lag and between $O_3$ and meteorological factors. Results of researches are as follows: First, in the case of NO and $NO_2$ intimately related to human activities, 12-hour cycle was prevalent. But $O_3$ showed 24-hour cycle. Second, NO showed a relatively high correlation with $O_3$ and usually developed into $O_3$ 5 to 7 hours later. Third, temperature, insolation intensity, and wind speed showed a positive correlation with $O_3$ while relative humidity a negative correlation.

A Convective Heat Transfer Correlation for Turbulent Gas-Liquid Two-Phase Flow in Vertical Pipes

  • A new two-phase non-boiling convective heat transfer correlation for turbulent flow $(Re_{SL}>4000)$ in vertical tubes with different fluid flow patterns and fluid combinations was developed using experimental data available from the literature. The correlation presented herein originates from a careful analysis of the major non-dimensional parameters affecting two-phase heat transfer. This model takes into account the appropriate contributions of both the liquid and gas phases using the respective cross-sectional areas occupied by the two phases. A total of 255 data points from three available studies (which included the four sets of data) were used to determine the curve-fitted constants in the improved correlation. The performance of the new correlation was compared with two-phase correlations from the literature, which were developed for specific fluid combinations.

  • In this paper, we investigate the statistical correlation of the time series for temperature measured at the heat box in the automobile drying process. We show, in terms of the sample variance, that a significant non-linear correlation exists in the time series that consist of absolute temperature changes. To investigate further the non-linear correlation, we utilize the volatility, an important concept in the financial market, and induce volatility time series from absolute temperature changes. We analyze the time series of volatilities in terms of the de-trended fluctuation analysis (DFA), a method especially suitable for testing the long-range correlation of non-stationary data, from the correlation perspective. We uncover that the volatility exhibits a long-range correlation regardless of the window size. We also analyze the cross correlation between two (inlet and outlet) volatility time series to characterize any correlation between the two, and disclose the dependence of the correlation strength on the time lag. These results can contribute as important factors to the modeling of forecasting and management of the heat box's temperature.

  • The finite element analysis (FEA) is widely used in modern structural dynamics because the performance of structure can be predicted in early stage. However, due to the difficulty in determination of various uncertain parameters, it is not easy to obtain a reliable finite element model. To overcome these difficulties, a updating program of FE model is developed by consisting of pretest, correlation and update. In correlation, it calculates modal assurance criteria, cross orthogonality, mixed orthogonality and coordinate modal assurance criteria. For the model updating, the continuum sensitivity analysis and design optimization tool(DOT) are used. The SENSUP program is developed for model updating giving physical parameter sensitivity. The developed program is applied to practical examples such as the BLDC spindle motor of HDD, and upper housing of induction motor. And the sensor placement for the square plate is compared using several methods.

  • Over the past two decades, forecasting has gained widespread acceptance as an integral part of business planning and decision making. Accurate forecasting is a prerequisite to successful planning. Accordingly, recent advances in forecasting techniques are of exceptional value to corporate planners. But most of forecasting mothods are reveal its limit and problem for precision and reliability duing to each relationship for raw data and possibility of explanation for each variable. Therefore, to construct the Integrated Forecasting Model(IFM) for Information Factor Analysis, it shoud be considered that whether law data has time lag and variables are explained. For this. following several method can be used : Least Square Method, Markov Process, Fibonacci series, Auto-Correlation, Cross-Correlation, Serial Correlation and Random Walk Theory. Thus, the unified property of these several functions scales the safety and growth of the system which may be varied time-to-time.

  • 제한된 스펙트럼 자원의 효율적 사용을 위한 하나의 해법으로 GPS 시각 기반의 이동선형주파수변조(SLFM)를 갖는 동일채널 다중국소 레이더 운용을 위한 방법을 제시한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 선택된 SLFM 신호 중에 상호상관 특성으로부터 허용할 수 있는 최소상관 수준을 갖는 SLFM 후보군을 찾는다. 제안 방법의 검증을 위해 단일 톱니 또는 삼각 LFM 신호를 갖는 동일채널에 운용되는 수 개의 레이더에 대해 수치해석을 하였다. 간섭 및 잡음, 알고리즘 한계, 그리고 SLFM 신호의 시각 동기 오류에 대해 탐지 거리 및 거리 윤곽의 계산 결과를 고찰하였다.
