Evaluation of Pathogenic Variability Based on Leaf Blotch Disease Development Components of Bipolaris sorokiniana in Triticum aestivum and Agroclimatic Origin

  • Leaf blotch of wheat caused by Bipolaris sorokiniana is a major constraint to wheat production, causing significant yield reduction resulting in severe economic impact. The present study characterizes to determine and compare pathogenic variability exist/not based on components of leaf blotch disease development and level of aggressiveness due to agroclimatic condition of B. sorokiniana in wheat. A total of 169 virulent isolates of B. sorokiniana isolated from spot blotch infected leaf from different wheat growing agroclimate of Bangladesh. Pathogenic variability was investigated on a susceptible wheat variety 'kanchan' now in Bangladesh. A clear evidence of positive relationship among the components was recorded. From hierarchical cluster analysis five groups were originating among the isolates. It resolved that a large amount of pathogenic diversity exists in Bipolaris sorokiniana. Variation in aggressiveness was found among the isolates from different wheat growing areas. Most virulent isolates BS 24 and BS 33 belonging to High Ganges River Flood Plain agro-climatic zones considered by rice-wheat cropping pattern, hot and humid weather, high land and low organic matter content in soil. Positive relationship was found between pathogenic variability and aggressiveness with agro-climatic condition.

금강변 저지대 시설원예단지의 침수피해 실태와 개선방안 조사연구 (Investigations on Inundation Damage in Greenhouse Complex Established at Lowlands on the Geumgang Riverside)

  • Investigations on the inundation damage and improvement measures were carried out centering around the protected horticultural complex concentrated in lowlands on the side of Geum river, in Nonsan and Buyeo, Chungnam. Most greenhouses were single-span plastic houses in this area, and tomato, strawberry and watermelon were cultivated mainly. 45.8 % of whole farmhouse were experienced in damage by inundation, and a frequency of the damage was average once in 11 years. The most urgent problem at the greenhouse culture in this area was showed in order of drainage improvement, irrigation water resources and energy saving. Consideration items in drainage improvement project for protected horticulture were showed in order of extending drain pumps, extending drain canals, using concrete flume in drain ditch. It needs to consider systematic plans that can restrain new establishment of greenhouses on the lowland paddy field in drainage area. It is difficult to remove greenhouses which are already established or prohibit cultivation. Therefore we should impose minimum duty items so that greenhouse tillers can cope with inundation. And it is thought that managing agency need to minimize farmers damage by improving drainage ability and introducing maintenance pattern that is different from rice cropping.

  • The growth characteristics and yield per unit area of two cropping systems, corn monoculture and 'wrnsoybean intercropping, were compared and the obtained results were as follows; 1.The two cultivation systems were not significantly different in leaf length, leaf width and length of internode at harvesting time. 2.The weight of stalk and the leaves of a plant were decreased with maturity, while the weight of ear was markedly increased. The patterns of relative ratio of each components were essentialy same in each cultivation systems. In corn monoculture, the percentages of stalk, leaf, and ear at final harvesting stage were 22.9, 13.7, and 63.4 and in corn-soybean intercropping, they were 21.8, 10.9, and 67.3 respectively. 3.Dry matter yield per unit area (kg/lOa) of intercropped corn at yellow stage was similar to that of monocultured corn (1, 483 kg/ 10a vs 1, 509 kg/ 10a). At ripe stage, however, the dry matter yield of intercropped plant was more than that of monocultured (1, 679 vs 1, 660 kg/ 10a). 4.The same pattern was observed in organic matter yield.

  • This study is purposed to examine how fanner's living conditions and managements have been improved during the last five years(1985 through 1989) on the basis of the information got from the sample survey of 30 farm households chosen in Galma-ri, Buseok-Myeon, Seosan county, Chungnam province. The followings are major results of the study. (1) There have been much improvement of kitchen facilities and increasing number of cultural goods, but not much in the condition of sanitation facilities. (2) The size of farm warehouse and stall have been greatly enlarged and there has been large variation in the heads of big animals such as cattle during the surveyed period. This may reflect the facts that farm managements become more diversified and commercialized. (3) It is shown that fanners more voluntarily accept new fanning techniques about their concerning crops. Also there have been rapid changes in the pattern of upland cropping system, adjusting to the commercialization of agriculture. (4) Currently, fanners tend to react to the price signal of market system more sensitively than before. Accordingly, agricultural income structure is varied subject to price fluctuation in the short run period.

미완공간척지의 정주생활 실태분석(II) -영농 및 농촌경제- (Analysis on the Setfiement Conditions in the Troubled Reclaimed Areas Under State Control (II) - Farming and Rural Economy-)

  • In Korea, small-scale reclaimed areas have been suffering from many problems because of the lack of comprehensive developing strategy although considerable investments have been inputed by the public sector since 1970's. For 3 reclaimed sites in Chonnam Province choser as case study areas, the analysis, the second attempt of widely-spanned studies on areal conditions, concentrated on their farming and economic conditions. Its results were as follows ; 1. Although farming pattern has been transferred to the full4ime rice cropping type by the creation of reclaimed paddy field, farming size in the areas has not been increased more than that in existing agricultural areas. This means that agricultural planning should be included in the initial stage of reclamation projects, especially with reference to the substantial enlargement of farming size. 2. Block parcelling of severely fragmented holdings in new and old lands should be carried out, which can make farming activities efficient and farming route shortened. In large-scale reclaimed areas, new village planning could be considered in its central zone for efficent farming. 3. Because soil in the areas contains much more salt and water than that in other areas, new design methodology should be introduced for the efficient use of agricultural machines in reclaimed areas. 4. There are deep-seated economic problems in reclaimed area, which have been caused by very poor level and agriculturally dominated structure of household income. These problems should motivate farmers to give up positive action for qualitative and quantitative improvement in farming.

기후변화에 따른 벼 적정 등숙기간의 변동과 대책 (Climate Change Impacts on Optimum Ripening Periods of Rice Plant and Its Countermeasure in Rice Cultivation)

  • It was unusual crop weather for 1998 and 1999 compared with normal in Korea. The consecutive days of the optimum ripening period for rice plant that had daily mean temperature 21~23$^{\circ}C$ for 40 days after flowering, increased with long anomalies in 1998~99. The air temperature during ripening period was much higher than the optimum temperature and lower sunshine hour than norm in the local adaptability tests of newly developed rice lines during those years. In response of rice cultivation to warming and cloudy weather during crop season, the yield shall be decreased. Most scientists agree that the rate of heating is accelerating and temperature change could become increasingly disruptive. Weather patterns should also become more erratic. Agrometeorologists could be analyzed yearly variations of temperature, sunshine hour and rainfall pattern focused on transient agroclimate change for last a decade. Rice agronomists could be established taking advantage of real time agricultural meteorology information system for fertilization, irrigation, pest control and harvest. Also they could be analyzed the characteristics of flowering response of the recommended and newly bred rice cultivars for suitable cropping plan such as cultural patterns and sowing or transplanting date. Rice breeders should be deeply considered introducing the characteristics of basic vegetative type of flowering response like Togil rices as prospective rice cultivars corresponding to global warming because of the rices needed higher temperature at ripening stage than japonica rices, photoperiod-sensitive and thermo-sensitive ecotypes.

반복적인 에러 최소화 기법을 이용한 하프톤 영상 워터마킹 (Halftone Image Watermarking Based on Iterative Error Minimizing Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 반복적인 에러 최소화 기법을 이용한 하프톤 영상의 워터마킹 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 워터마크는 하프톤 영상의 랜덤한 위치의 픽셀값으로 저장된다. 삽입된 워터마크로 인한 하프톤 영상의 왜곡을 최소화하고 비가시성을 증대하기 위하여 반복적인 에러 최소화 기법이 사용된다. 원영상과 HVS(Human Visual System) 필터 처리된 하프톤 영상과의 차이를 하프토닝 에러로 정의하고 반복적으로 각각의 픽셀 위치에서 이 하프토닝 에러를 최소화할 수 있는 픽셀 패턴을 찾아서 이것으로 원래의 픽셀패턴을 대치한다. 절단이나 회전과 같은 기하학적인 변형에 견고하게 하기 위하여 동일한 워터마크를 반복하여 하프톤 영상안에 삽입하였다. 실제 인쇄 및 스캐닝 실험을 통하여 제안된 알고리즘이 기하학적 변형에 견고함을 보였고 또한 기존과 방법과 비교하여 제안된 방법이 많은 양의 워터마크 정보에도 불구하고 우수한 품질의 하프톤 영상을 생성함을 보였다.

수도(水稻) 재배양식(栽培樣式) 차이(差異)에 따른 잡초(雜草) 발생특성(發生特性) 연구(硏究) (Emergence and Growth of Weeds in Paddy Fields as Affected by Cropping Pattern)

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)는 시험전(試驗前) 일년간(一年間) 잡초방임상태(雜草放任狀態)로 수도작(水稻作)을 경작(耕作)하였던 답(畓)에 6유형(類型)의 재배양식(栽培樣式) 즉 직산파(直散播), 직조파(直條播), 기계이앙(機械移秧), 관행(慣行)손이앙(移秧), 조기이앙(早期移秧) 및 만기이앙재배법(晩期移秧栽培法)을 두고 초형(草型)과 생태특성(生態特性)이 다른 두 품종(品種) 밀앙(密%)23호(號)와 사도미노리를 공시(供試)하여 각(各) 처리(處理)의 잡초방임조건하(雜草放任條件下)에서 잡초(雜草)의 발생생태(發生生態) 특성차이(特性差異)를 파악(把握)하고저 시도(始圖)하였다. 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하연 다음과 같다. 1. 시험지(試驗地)에서 출현(出現)한 잡초종(雜草種)은 약(約) 22종(種)으로 화본과잡초군(禾本科雜草郡)에서는 3종(種), 광엽잡초군(廣葉雜草群)에서는 13종(種), 사초과잡초군(雜草郡)에서는 6종(種)이었다. 2. 재배양식별(栽培樣式別) 잡초발생량(雜草發生量)은 직파(直播)와 조기이앙(早期移秧)에서 많았고 만기이앙(晩期移秧)에서 가장 적었으며 시기적(時期的)으로는 파종(播播) 및 이앙후(移秧後) 12주(週)에 가장 많았다. 3. 잡초군별(雜草群別) 발생량(發生量)은 사초과${\gg}$광엽류>화본과의 순(順)으로 많았으며 사초과잡초군(雜草群)의 발생량(發生量)은 직파(直播)${\gg}$조기(早期)>관행(慣行)>기계 및 만기이앙구(晩期移秧區)의 순(順)으로, 광엽잡초군은 직산파${\gg}$직조파(直條播)${\gg}$기계(機械)>관행(慣行)${\fallingdotseq}$조기(早期)${\fallingdotseq}$만기이앙구(晩期移秧區)의 순(順)으로 많았고 화본과잡초(禾本科雜草)의 경우는 사초과의 경우와 비슷하였다. 4. 화본과잡초군(禾本科雜草郡)은 생육진전(生育進展)에 따라 단일군락(單一群落)으로 집락화(集落化)하는 경향인 반면(反面) 광엽잡초군(廣棄雜草群)은 혼생군락화(混生群落化)의 경향이 인정(認定)되었고 사초과는 모든 경우에 작물품종간(作物品種種間) 차이(差異)도 없이 우점하는 경향이다. 5. 잡초군간(雜草群間)의 평균초장(平均草長)은 화본과(禾本科)>사초과>광엽류의 순(順)으로 컸으며 사초과와 광엽류잡초군의 초장(草長)은 재배양식(栽培樣式)에 따라 영향을 크게 받았다. 6. 경지내(耕地內)의 식물군간(植物群間) Importance Value변이(變異)는 화본과(禾本科)와 사초과잡초군(雜草群)이 대체(大體)로 12% 범위(範圍)였으나 사초과잡초군(雜草群)은 10~80% 범위(範圍)로써 재배양식(栽培樣式) 및 생육진전(生育進展)에 따른 변이(變異)가 컸다. 7. Simpson's Index 분석결과(分析結果), 조기(早期) 및 관행이앙(慣行移快)에서는 생육진전(生育進展)에 따라 다종혼합군락화(多種混合群落化)의 경향을 보였고 직파(直播)와 만기이앙(晩l期移快)에서는 단순군락화(單純群落化) 경향(傾向)이 나타났다.

  • 말레이지아 Selangor지역(地域)의 부식질 경지토양(耕地土壤)에 분포(分布)하고 있는 경지(耕地)의 잡초식생(雜草植生)을 조사하고 정량적 생태분석을 수행한 결과는 다음과 같이 요약(要約)된다. 1. 이 지역(地域) 경지잡초(耕地雜草) 종조성(種組成)은 19과(科)에 속하는 31종(種)의 광엽잡초(廣葉雜草), 10종(種)의 화본과(禾本科) 잡초(雜草), 7종(種)의 사초과(莎草科) 잡초(雜草)로 이루어졌고, 잡초(雜草)의 식생피도(植生被度)에서 각각 77. 8. 15%를 점유하였으며, 이들의 중요도(重要度)는 각각 71, 11, 18%이었다. 2. 이 지역(地域) 경지잡초(耕地雜草)중 10종(種)의 우점종(優點種)은 우점도(優點度) 순위(順位)에서 Fimbristylis acuminata, Murdannia nudiflora, Hedyotis corymbosa, Ageratum conyzoides, Asystasia gangetica, Cleome rutidosperma, Cyperus sphacelatus, Lindernia crustacea, Ludwigia hyssopiflora 및 Ludwigia perennis이었다. 3. 이상과 같은 초종간(草種間) 우점도(優點度) 및 공간분포유형(空間分布類型)의 차이(差異)는 각 초종(草種) 본래(本來)의 종자생산성(鐘子生産性) 및 번식습성(繁殖習性)과 군집성(群集性)의 차이(差異)와 이 지역(地域) 경지(耕地)의 작물종류(作物種類), 작부체계(作付體系) 및 경종방법(耕種方法)과 제초관행(除草慣行)의 차이(差異)에 기인하는 것으로 생각한다.

벼-보리 작부지대(作付地帶) 유기물연용시용법(有機物連用施用法) 연구(硏究) (Studies on Establishment of Application Method of Organic Matter in Rice-Barley Cropping System)

  • 벼-보리 작부시(作付時) 유기물연용(有機物連用) 시용방법(施用方法)을 확립(確立)하기 위(爲)하여 각(各) 작기별(作期別)로 유기물자재(有機物資材) 및 시용량(施用量)을 달리하여 세립회색(細粒灰色) 저지토(低地土)에서 시험(試驗)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1) 토양중(土壤中) 부식함량(腐植含量)과 전질소함량(全窒素含量)은 볏짚 환원구(還元區)를 제외(除外)한 모든 유기물(有機物) 시용구(施用區)에서 증가(增加)되었고 그중(中) 퇴비배량구(堆肥倍量區)가 제일(第一) 높았다. 2) 추출질소(抽出窒素)(지력질소(地力窒素))는 볏짚+보리짚 시용구(施用區)에서 분해과정(分解過程)이 지연(遲延)됨에 따라 수확기(收穫期) 잔존량(殘存量)이 제일(第一) 많았으며 완숙퇴비(完熟堆肥) 시용구(施用區)에서는 오히려 적었다. 3) 질소흡수량(窒素吸收量) 및 수량(收量)은 퇴비배량구(堆肥倍量區)에서 높았고 부식함량(腐植含量), 전질소(全窒素), 질소흡수량(窒素吸收量) 및 수량간(收量間)의 상호관계(相互關係)는 유의성(有意性)있는 상관(相關)을 나타냈으나 추출질소(抽出窒素)와 전질소(全窒素) 및 수량간(收量間)에는 유의성(有意性)이 없었다. 4) 유기물(有機物) 시용(施用)에 의(依)한 토양(土壤)의 화학적(化學的) 성질(性質) 변화(變化)는 인산(燐酸)과 가리(加里)는 각(各) 유기물(有機物) 시용구(施用區), C. E. C는 퇴비시용구(堆肥施用區)에서 다소(多少) 높았으며 물리성(物理性) 변화(變化)는 거의 없었다.
