청소년의 미디어 활용 능력과 비판적 미디어 이해 능력의 관계에서 자아존중감과 인지욕구의 매개효과 (Mediating Effects of Self-Respect and Cognitive Needs on the Relationship between Adolescents' Media Utilization and Critical Media Understanding)

  • 이 연구는 한국 미디어패널 2020의 자료를 활용하여 청소년의 미디어 활용 능력, 자아존중감, 인지 욕구가 비판적 미디어 이해 능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 연구결과 PC 활용 능력과 스마트기기 활용 능력은 청소년의 비판적 미디어 이해 능력에 영향을 주었다. PC, 스마트기기를 활용한 인터넷 활용 능력과 비판적 미디어 이해 능력 사이에서 인지 욕구의 매개효과가 유의하였고, PC와 스마트기기를 활용한 이메일 활용 능력과 비판적 미디어 이해 능력 사이에서 자아존중감의 매개효과는 유의하였다. 그러므로 청소년들의 비판적 미디어 이해 능력을 높이기 위해서 PC와 스마트기기 활용 능력을 높이는 동시에 PC와 스마트기기를 교육적인 상호작용의 도구로 활용해야 한다. 이를 위해 정보 및 기술 교과는 인지 욕구를 높일 수 있는 미디어 활용 능력 중심의 교육이 효과적일 수 있으며, 그 외의 교과에서 미디어를 활용한 협동학습이 바람직하다.

유아 미디어 리터러시교육 프로그램의 개발 및 적용 (Development and Effects of Media Literacy Program for Young Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a media literacy program for young children and explore its applicability and effects on young children's media literacy learning. Media literacy, as a concept combined literacy, or the ability to read and write, with media, is about more than just consuming information or understanding technological aspects of media, but is defined as expanded information and communication skills that are responsive to the changing nature of information in human environment. In order to develop media literacy program for young children, the goal and objectives, content areas, teaching methods and materials, and evaluation of media literacy program were searched and established. The subjects of this study consisted of a total of 51 children at age 5-6. The research had been implemented for 8 weeks integrated into daily activities of kindergarten children. Data were collected by interviewing with children using animations, and children-made-cartoons during the pre- and post-tests, and were analyzed quantitatively using rating criteria. The results of this study showed that there were significant differences found in children's abilities to reception, critical thinking, and creativity. This research made a major contribution to provision of a ground for developing an effective media literacy program for young children.

일반계고의 창의공학설계 수업을 위한 아두이노 기반 STEAM 수업자료 개발과 적용 (Development of STEAM Instructional Materials using Arduino for Creative Engineering Design Class in High Schools and Its Application)

  • The purpose of the study was to develop the Arduino based STEAM instruction materials for creative engineering design class. PDIE model was used in this study. We developed a STEAM lesson plan and a STEAM lesson worksheet for a total of six sessions through the steps of preparation, development, implementation and evaluation. The validity of the instruction materials was evaluated by the 10 experts using a survey. The instruction materials were applied to the class (52 students attended) of the creative engineering designs unit in technology and home economics subject. The class satisfaction and the creative solving-problem ability were examined after the calss. The class satafacition was high as the average of 10 item was 4.57 (out of 5). The paired t-test was conducted to compare the means of the creative solving-problem ability. It was observed that 'understanding and mastery of knowledge, thought, function and skills in a specific domain', 'divergent thinking', 'critical and logical thinking' and ' motivational factors' were significantly increased after the class. The instruction materials develped in this study were successfully designed to enhance the creative solving-problem ability by designing creative tasks and to intrique the interest by adding visual and auditory stimuli with the Arduino.
