신용카드 결제 중계 서비스 VAN사의 시스템 장애처리 (The Obstacle Process on the Credit Card Settlement System of VAN company relay service)

  • Currently the settlement system which is used at credit card settlement from the member store of the off-line credit card is composed of the credit card settlement terminal, the VAN company which does a settlement relay service and the credit card company. When the obstacle occurs from the credit card company, the VAN company which does a settlement relay service conducts an approval vicarious execution, but when the obstacle occurs from the VAN company, the credit card settlement service is not accomplished smoothly. The dissertation proposes the credit card settlement system which receives a settlement relay service that credit card settlement terminal uses a telegram conversion Agent from other VAN company when the VAN company obstacle occurs.

Consumer Satisfaction with Green Credit Card Benefits: The Role of Environmental Self-Accountability and Eco-Label Involvement

  • Given the critical importance of enhancing the level of ESG practices, the current research examines the impact of credit card users' pro-environmental characteristics (i.e., environmental self-accountability, eco-label involvement) on their satisfaction with credit card benefits related to green life. That is, this research investigates whether consumers' satisfaction with green credit card benefits varies depending on their environmental self-accountability and eco-label involvement. Specifically, we predict that (1) for consumers with high (vs. low) environmental self-accountability, their satisfaction with credit card benefits related to green life will be higher (hypothesis 1); and (2) when consumers have high (vs. low) eco-label involvement, they will be more likely to be satisfied with credit card benefits related to green life (hypothesis 2). An online survey (N = 293) was conducted to test the two hypotheses. In support of the hypotheses, the results indicate that (1) respondents who had high (vs. low) environmental self-accountability were more satisfied with credit card benefits related to green life, and (2) respondents with high eco-label involvement, as compared to those with low eco-label involvement, reported greater satisfaction with credit card benefits related to green life. We suggest an important insight into how credit card companies approaching ESG issues can increase their consumers' satisfaction with green credit card benefits, considering consumers' individual characteristics such as environmental self-accountability and eco-label involvement.

  • The use of credit cards has been increasing form last decade, although there are many kinds of difficulties for using credit cards. the aims of this study is exploring the problems of arising form the use of the credit card. Four types of the problem are proposed; 1) The problem of managing the credit card. 2) The problem of the time of using credit card 3) The problem of ' credit 'between issuer and user of credit card, 4) the problem of cosigner. The cases which concerned with each types of problem are discussed. Guidelines of using credit card are proposed that can be useful for consumer education and helpful for users and dealers of credit card.

대학생들의 신용카드 인식 및 사용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Credit Card Cognition and Use of College Students)

  • This study has been peformed on the consumption tendency, and knowledge and cognition of credit cards among college students. A total of 327 subjects from the college students was surveyed in Pusan area. The major findings of this study were summerized as follows; First, the rate of credit card possession of the students was 19.6%. The card possession showed significantly different in age, personal expense, income. Second, the level of knowledge of the credit card was low(23.1 points). Also, the level of knowledge was significantly different in sex, age, major, personal expense, income and credit card ownership. Third, the cognition of credit cards was medium(51.3 points). The cognition of the credit cards was significantly different only in the card possession. Fourth, the behavior of credit card was not significantly different in the group. Fifth, there were significant relationships between the knowlege and cognition. This result implied that the group with higer levels of knowlege tended to show more favor of credit cards. For the rational consumption of the college students, the students need to be educated about advantage and disadvantages of the credit cards.

대학생소비자의 신용카드에 대한 태도 및 재무관리행동, 신용카드 사용행동의 합리성에 대한 인과분석 (A Path Analysis of Attitudes toward Credit Cards, Financial Management Practices, and Sound Credit Card Use among College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting credit card attitudes, financial management practices, and sound credit card use among college students, and to conceptualize a theoretical model. Earlier studies identified a number of antecedent variables (such as gender, year in college, job experience, amount of allowance, family income, living with parents, having taken a personal financial management course) and intervening variables (such as attitudes towards credit cards and financial management practices) as useful predictors of sound credit card practices. Four hundred and thirty four undergraduate students in Daejeon participated in this study. Stepwise multiple regression and path analysis were conducted. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Students' attitudes towards credit cards were affected by their you in college, whether they were living with their parents, and the amount of their allowance. Similarly, students' financial management practices were affected by their year in college, whether they were living with their parents, the amount of their allowance, and whether and not they had taken a personal financial management course. 2. Sound credit card practices were influenced by students' gender, their year in college, the amount of their allowance, attitudes towards credit cards, and financial management practices. 3. The path-analysis model demonstrates the relationships among the antecedent variables, intervening variables (credit card attitude, financial management practices), and sound credit card use.

현재와 미래의 신용카드사용의 의사결정에 따른 가정특성에 관한 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Characteristics of Household Groups Depending on Decision-making of Current and Planned Credit Card Use)

  • The present study investigated characteristics of Korean hourehelds in the expanding stage of the family life cycle depending on decision-making of current and planned credit card use. Households which were selected for this study had at least one dependent child enrolled in primary, middle, or high school, 1998. Regarding current and planned credit card use, credit card holder (n=379) and non-holder (n=259) households and continuous (n=331) and discontinous (n=47) credit card holder households were compared. Comparisons were perfomed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, and X2-test. Related factors were households demographic characteristics, financial management behavior, perceived financial well-being, and attitudes toward credit cards. Findings indicated that holder households tended to be younger, better educated, white-collar workers, and of a higher economic status than non-holders. In comparison to non-holder households, credit card holder households had more favorable atti udes toward credit cards, reported more financial management practices, experienced less financial unbalance, and were more satisfied with their household finaces. Compared to discontinuous credit card holder households, continuous card holder households tended to be larger, have better educated wives and husbands, and have husbands who were white-collar workers. They were more likely to have higher average monthly income than discontinuous holder households. Continuous card holder households also had more favorable attitudes toward credit cards, and more strongly believed and expected financial improvement of their households, compared to discontinuous card holder households.

  • 현재 오프라인 신용카드가맹점에서의 신용카드 결제 시에 사용되는 결제 시스템은 신용카드 결제 단말기, 결제 중계 서비스를 하는 VAN사 그리고 신용카드사로 구성되어 있다. 신용카드사 장애 시에는 결제중계 서비스 VAN사가 승인 대행을 하여 처리하나, 결제 중계 서비스 VAN사 장애 시에는 신용카드 결제서비스가 원활하게 이루어지지 않는다. 본 논문은 결제 중계 서비스를 하는 VAN사의장애 시에 신용카드 결제 단말기가 전문변환 Agent를 이용하여, 다른 서비스 VAN사에서 결제 중계 서비스를 받을 수 있도록 하는 신용카드 결제 시스템을 구현하였다.

신용카드 이용행태의 확률분포 도출과 활용 (Derivation and utilization of probability distribution of credit card usage behavior)

  • Purpose: To find out the appropriate probability distribution of credit card usage behavior by considering the relationship among income, expenditure and credit card usage amount. Such relationship is enabled by Korea's especially high penetration of credit card. Method: Goodness-of-fit test and effect size statistic W were used to identify the distribution of income and credit card usage amount. A simulation model is introduced to generate the credit card transactions on individual user level. Result: The three data sets for testing had either passed the chi-square test or showed low W values, meaning they follow the exponential distribution. And the exponential distribution turned out to fit the data sets well. The r values were very high. Conclusion: The credit card usage behavior, denoted as the counts of users by usage amount band, follows the exponential distribution. This distribution is easy to manipulate, has a variety of applications and generates important business implications.

신용카드서비스에 대한 공적불평행동과 불평처리 만족에 관한 연구 (Consumer Public Complaint Behaviors and Satisfaction of Complaint Handling By Credit Card Services)

  • This study analyzed consumer public complaint behaviors and the satisfaction of complaint handling among credit card users who availed of credit card services. Relatively little research has been done in this area, despite the obvious importance of understanding and improving credit card market conditions. The purpose of this study was to examine consumer compliant behaviors with a focus on public actions, such as voice responses and the third party actions among credit card users. With the goal of providing consumers with more positive expectations of credit card companies' complaint handling process, this study investigated the status of public actions and the negative effect of complaints on the overall satisfaction of post-complaint behavior toward credit card services. The responses from 1,000 credit card users were analyzed using descriptive analysis, factor analysis, multi-logit analysis, and Heckman selection estimate. The analysis provided three major results: (1) perceived service quality among credit card users was conceptualized into groups such as responsiveness, innovation, company, additional service, and fee, (2) perceived service qualities, age, residential area, employment status, and subjective economic status had significant effect on public compliant action behaviors, and (3) unidimensional factors resulting from post-complaint behaviors were analyzed and several variables, such as period of credit card use, average amount used, and perceived service quality had significant effects on the degree of satisfaction associated with complaint handling in terms of credit card services. Several implications and directions for further research are discussed.

시장 경쟁이 신용카드 연체부도율에 미치는 효과에 대한 실증분석 (Empirical Analysis of Credit Card Delinquency Effect by Market Competition)

  • The purposes of this article is to analyse how market competition of credit card company affect price(interest rate) and survival length of card users. This paper uses individual account data from a large Korean credit card company during the periods from 2002 to 2006. The findings of our study are as follows. First, market competition of credit card company have a negative effect with interest rate of credit card. Second, market competition of credit card company have a affirmative effect with survival length. Finally, The effect of Increasing delinquency rate due to price increase is smaller than decreasing delinquency rate due to extending survival length.
