Performance Embodiment of Acrylic Material in Art Painting Creation

  • In art painting creation, painting material is an important carrier. Acrylic as a young material has very wide applications in modern art. This study mainly analyzed the properties of acrylic material. Firstly, the emergence and development of acrylic were introduced, and then its material characteristics were analyzed. Finally, the performance embodiment of acrylic paintings was compared with oil paintings and watercolor paintings. It was found that acrylic paintings not only had some advantages of oil and watercolor paintings but also had own style characteristics; acrylic paintings also have advantages in durability and flexibility; acrylic paintings could present the characteristics that oil and watercolor paintings did not have while realizing the techniques of them. Acrylic paintings have a broad development space in art creation, which is worth further attention and promotion.

A Study on the Policies and Projects for the Creation of Areas for Close Contact with Nature in Japan (자연과의 접촉공간 조성에 관련된 일본의 시책.사업에 관한 연구)

  • Nowaday special attention is being paid to the conservation of all species or ecosystmes of sites for public projects. Many environmental conservation policies and projects in Japan emphasize the coexistence of man with nature and close contact with nature. The objectives of this study was to investigate policies and projects for the creation of areas for the close contact with nature in Japan, to characterize change of techniques for the space creation over times, and to classify those policies and projects implemented by many government agencies. This study was mainly carried out by literature survey of laws, policies and projects related to environmental conservation pertinent to national scale. Major findings of this study can be summarized as follows: First, two most significant turning points for the environmental conservation in Japan were the establishment of the Office of Environmental in 1971 and the enactment of many laws influenced by the awareness of global environmental problems since 1990. Second, polices and projects for the creation of areas for the close contact with nature started in 1960s by the Office of Forestry, and focused on planting and development of simple facilities in forests. And the conservation of natural environment, ecological restoration and the expansion of urban green spaces, and the creation of biotopes and other areas for the close contact with nature in urban areas were the major characteristics of environmental conservation in Japan during 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, respectively.

  • GIS was introduced to spatial information of complex and various facility systematically and scientifically. And, recently, new trend has been spread by Mobile GIS owing to its fast development of information and communication technology. However, these Mobile GIS techniques were introduced in maintenances of various facilities. Due to its mismanagement, the use became insufficient in facilities causing database creation to require realism and mobility. Therefore, in this research to road facility of various facilities, it deduced improving the work process by using a Mobile GIS to analyze work process of the road facility database creation. And, through an experiment, by comparing and analyzing road facilities database creation process by existing method and improving method, could improvement of road facility database creation using a Mobile GIS.

  • Character plays an important role not merely in animation but also in the modern image industry. From this perspective a new academic approach to and an analysis of character seems of much significance. With this in view this study carried out an elucidation of the basic factors and concept of plasticity for the creation of animation character on the basis of animation structural elements. Furthermore, an inquiry was conducted into fundamental requirements and factors of animation characters, human anatomy serving as the basis of forms for animation character modelling, the characteristics and techniques for creating animation cubic character, and then suggested a method of creation. In this process it was revealed that integral cubic character was applied to diverse animations, that character of high density was prerequisite for the creation of creative and effective animations, and that cubic character plasticity played a catalytic role in activation popular sympathy and the character industry.

  • In modern society as people adapt to social and cultural changes, people prefer high-scarcity designed products rather than standardized ones. Consequently, this adaptation lays a foundation in art and cultural domains to express uniqueness and individuality. The purpose of this study is to develop fashion designs by fusing fashion painting and handicraft techniques through creative and various artistic expressions. The researchers studied the sociocultural background of modern handicraft fashion using document-based research methods. Based on the characteristics of modern handicraft, we produced six garments that applied fashion painting techniques. In this study, the origin of fashion painting was found in ornaments such as tattoo or body-painting. We determined that modern designers were using various fashion painting techniques and motives as unique and advanced ornamentary skills. Harmonizing various handicraft techniques(dyeing, embroidery, quilt, patchwork, beads, fashion painting, etc.) centered on fashion painting enabled creation of unique fashion design through varieties of artistic expressions.

A Study on Predicting Cryptocurrency Distribution Prices Using Machine Learning Techniques (머신러닝 기법을 활용한 암호화폐 유통 가격 예측 연구)

  • Purpose: Blockchain technology suggests ways to solve the problems in the existing industry. Among them, Cryptocurrency system, which is an element of Blockchain technology, is a very important factor for operating Blockchain. While Blockchain cryptocurrency has attracted attention, studies on cryptocurrency prices have been mainly conducted, however previous studies mainly conducted on Bitcoin prices. On the other hand, in the context of the creation and trading of various cryptocurrencies based on the Blockchain system, little research has been done on cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin. Hence, this study attempts to find variables related to the prices of Dash, Litecoin, and Monero cryptocurrencies using machine learning techniques. We also attempt to find differences in the variables related to the prices for each cryptocurrencies and to examine machine learning techniques that can provide better performance. Research design, data, and methodology: This study performed Dash, Litecoin, and Monero price prediction analysis of cryptocurrency using Blockchain information and machine learning techniques. We employed number of transactions in Blockchain, amount of generated cryptocurrency, transaction fees, number of activity accounts in Blockchain, Block creation difficulty, block size, umber of created blocks as independent variables. This study tried to ensure the reliability of the analysis results through 10-fold cross validation. Blockchain information was hierarchically added for price prediction, and the analysis result was measured as RMSE and MAPE. Results: The analysis shows that the prices of Dash, Litecoin and Monero cryptocurrency are related to Blockchain information. Also, we found that different Blockchain information improves the analysis results for each cryptocurrency. In addition, this study found that the neural network machine learning technique provides better analysis results than support-vector machine in predicting cryptocurrency prices. Conclusion: This study concludes that the information of Blockchain should be considered for the prediction of the price of Dash, Litecoin, and Monero cryptocurrency. It also suggests that Blockchain information related to the price of cryptocurrency differs depending on the type of cryptocurrency. We suggest that future research on various types of cryptocurrencies is needed. The findings of this study can provide a theoretical basis for future cryptocurrency research in distribution management.

  • This study is a comparative analysis of the creation and development of visual techniques used in girls' comics in the paradigmatic low and high-context cultures of American and Japan. As previous analyses have shown, there are qualitative differences in the expressive mechanisms employed in girls' comics in Eastern and Western cultures, and it is an investigation of this realm of expression that is the basis of this study. Particular emphasis is placed on an analysis of the structure of frames, one of the most fundamental expressive mechanisms in girls' comics. A close examination of this underlying structural component reveals that both cultures demonstrate autonomous growth, providing a theoretical framework for future studies.

Stencil-based 3D facial relief creation from RGBD images for 3D printing

  • Three-dimensional (3D) selfie services, one of the major 3D printing services, print 3D models of an individual's face via scanning. However, most of these services require expensive full-color supporting 3D printers. The high cost of such printers poses a challenge in launching a variety of 3D printing application services. This paper presents a stencil-based 3D facial relief creation method employing a low-cost RGBD sensor and a 3D printer. Stencil-based 3D facial relief is an artwork in which some parts are holes, similar to that in a stencil, and other parts stand out, as in a relief. The proposed method creates a new type of relief by combining the existing stencil techniques and relief techniques. As a result, the 3D printed product resembles a two-colored object rather than a one-colored object even when a monochrome 3D printer is used. Unlike existing personalization-based 3D printing services, the proposed method enables the printing and delivery of products to customers in a short period of time. Experimental results reveal that, compared to existing 3D selfie products printed by monochrome 3D printers, our products have a higher degree of similarity and are more profitable.

Development Trends of Domestic Apparel Design by Analyzing Patent Applications (특허정보 분석을 통한 국내 의류 디자인 개발 동향)

  • To study the development trends of domestic apparel design, we analyzed patent applications that were applied to the field of apparel design. It was presumed that economic and social environment have affected directly on the number of apparel design applications. Since year 2000, the whole number of apparel design applications has shown a remarkably increasing tendency, but depending on the items, the trends of patent applications have different tendency. While the number of applications regarding western costume such as a jacket, pants, suit and coat has been increasing from mid 2000s, the number of applications regarding Hanbok and undergarments have been decreasing from mid 2000s. In early 2000s, there were a lot of applications relating to design creation due to combination of color and form in apparel design. However, from mid 2000s, variety of techniques such as granting functional characteristics, asymmetry construction, introduction of various textiles, techniques of draping were being applied in design creation.
