The effect of decreased human activity on the urban heat island intensity (UHII) was analyzed using the observed temperature data of six sites (including one reference area) in Daejeon Metropolitan City from February to May of 2019 to 2021. Depending on the observation site, UHII decreased by approximately 20% in 2020 and 2021 compared to 2019 before COVID-19. The decrease in human activity increased UHII at night and decreased it during the daytime. Consequently, UHII diurnal amplitude increased by approximately 20% in 2020 and 2021 compared to 2019, irrespective of location. The decrease in UHII did not appear to be significantly correlated with natural factors such as wind speed and social distancing steps. In contrast, UHII was correlated with social distancing and significantly reduced air pollutants after COVID-19, with the most significant correlation observed for NO2.
This study is qualitative research with an aim of assessing experience of prospective social work student enrolled in social welfare field practice during COVID-19 pandemic. The results are shown below. First, the major negative answers of responders were the work-study imbalance of the student, the institution's concern for spread of infection, limited experience due to low-quality-of supervision, the difficulty on choosing institution, and worries on stop of practice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Second, the key positive answers of responders were awareness of true meaning of social welfare, a major of them, significance of field practice, importance of human rights in their field, and finally, dearness of rapport building between social workers and clients in social welfare practice settings.
Background: PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder, PTSD) had a great impact on health care workers during the COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019, COVID-19). Better knowledge of the prevalence of PTSD and its risk factors is a major public health problem. This study was conducted to assess the prevalence and important risk factors of PTSD among medical staff during the COVID-19. Methods: The databases were searched for studies published during the COVID-19, and a PRISMA (preferred reporting items for systematic review and meta-analysis) compliant systematic review (PROSPERO-CRD 42021278970) was carried out to identify articles from multiple databases reporting the prevalence of PTSD outcomes among medical staff. Proportion random effect analysis, I2 statistic, quality assessment, subgroup analysis, and sensitivity analysis were carried out. Results: A total of 28 cross-sectional studies and the PTSD results of doctors and nurses were summarized from 14 and 27 studies: the prevalences were 31% (95% CI [confidence interval, CI]: 21%-40%) and 38% (95% CI: 30%-45%) in doctors and nurses, respectively. The results also showed seven risks (p < 0.05): long working hours, isolation wards, COVID-19 symptoms, nurses, women, fear of infection, and pre-existing mental illness. Two factors were of borderline significance: higher professional titles and married. Conclusion: Health care workers have a higher prevalence of PTSD during COVID-19. Health departments should provide targeted preventive measures for medical staff away from PTSD.
Background: This study aims to identify the safety and health risk perceptions toward the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic based on gender in Korean university students who work and study during the pandemic. Methods: A nationwide convenient sampling method was implemented to eliminate any regional characteristics in 757 university students, including those who studied while working. The participants answered the online questionnaire for one week. The collected data were analyzed using the R version 3.4.1 program. Results: The results comparing the safety and health risk perceptions toward COVID-19 based on the gender of the subjects who work while studying, "I often use the Internet to obtain information on COVID-19 infection control" are females appeared to use the internet more often (t = -2.18, p = 0.031) than males. "Compared to pre-COVID-19, I am currently feeling safe after the outbreak" is females felt less safe (t = 3.43, p < 0.001). Although COVID-19 infection control awareness is high among Korean university students and officials, males reported higher scores over females in all the questions, which was statistically significant. Conclusion: There should be prioritized psychological measures for prevention against COVID-19 for vulnerable groups with high mental health risks. A network must be established to protect the mental health of such groups, and candidates who require intervention must be actively identified and supported. Therefore, there must be efforts to deliver accurate information based on scientific evidence of the infectious disease, and the actions should be supported through such active communication.

This paper propose a clustered algorithm that possible more efficient COVID-19 disease learning prediction within clustering using context-aware attribute information. In typically, clustering of COVID-19 diseases provides to classify interrelationships within disease cluster information in the clustering process. The clustering data will be as a degrade factor if new or newly processing information during treated as contaminated factors in comparative interrelationships information. In this paper, we have shown the solving the problems and developed a clustering algorithm that can extracting disease correlation information in using K-means algorithm. According to their attributes from disease clusters using accumulated information and interrelationships clustering, the proposed algorithm analyzes the disease correlation clustering possible and centering points. The proposed algorithm showed improved adaptability to prediction accuracy of the classification management system in terms of learning as a group of multiple disease attribute information of COVID-19 through the applied simulation results.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effect of herbal medicine decoction on COVID-19 symptoms remaining after administering Western medicine and worsening eczema during the COVID-19 prevalence period in patients with chronic eczema. Methods : The two chronic eczema patients suffering from COVID-19 symptoms and worsening eczema received a series of herbal medicine decoction for treatment. The effectiveness of treatment was evaluated by VAS, NRS, EASI, PASI, DLQI, photography and subjective evaluation of the patient's improvement of symptoms. Results : After treatment, all symptoms of COVID-19 disappered and aggravated eczema lesions were remarkably improved in both cases. Compared to its peak, the first case shows that PASI improved by 88% and DLQI by 44%. According to photo and symptom changes, the size of the affected area of facial acne and lip eczema was decreased. The second case shows that EASI improved by 43% and DLQI by 65%. According to photo and symptom changes, redness, rash were stopped and pruritus was decreased. Conclusion : This study suggests that herbal medicine could induce effectiveness on both COVID-19 symptoms as well as chronic eczema.

COVID-19, a highly infectious disease, has affected the globe tremendously since its outbreak during late 2019 in Wuhan, China. In order to respond to the pandemic, governments around the world introduced a variety of public health measures including contact-tracing, a method to identify individuals who may have come into contact with a confirmed COVID-19 patient, which usually leads to quarantine of certain individuals. Like many other governments, the South Korean health authorities adopted public health measures using latest data technologies. Key data technology-based quarantine measures include:(1) Electronic Entry Log; (2) Self-check App; and (3) COVID-19 Wristband, and heavily relied on individual's personal information for contact-tracing and self-isolation. In fact, during the early stages of the pandemic, South Korea's strategy proved to be highly effective in containing the spread of coronavirus while other countries suffered significantly from the surge of COVID-19 patients. However, while the South Korean COVID-19 policy was hailed as a success, it must be noted that the government achieved this by collecting and processing a wide range of personal information. In collecting and processing personal information, the data minimum principle - one of the widely recognized common data principles between different data protection laws - should be applied. Public health measures have no exceptions, and it is even more crucial when government activities are involved. In this study, we provide an analysis of how the governments around the world reacted to the COVID-19 pandemic and evaluate whether the South Korean government's digital quarantine measures ensured the protection of its citizen's right to privacy.
Objectives : To analyze symptoms of olfactory dysfunction caused by COVID-19 from a Korean Medical Perspective. Methods : Previous studies dealing with olfactory dysfunction accompanying COVID-19 were studied and analyzed for general characterization. Physiology and pathology of olfactory functions within the classical texts of Korean Medicine were collected and analyzed, through which symptoms of olfactory dysfunction in COVID-19 were examined. Results : Olfactory dysfunction manifested in high ratios in the early stages of confirmed COVID-19 cases, at times independent of other nasal symptoms such as blockage or discharge. There was a high chance of loss of taste being accompanied, while mental problems such as a tendency to have difficulty concentrating were present as well. In most cases, recovery took one to two weeks. From a Korean Medical perspective, physiology of olfactory function is closely linked to the Lungs, Ancetral Qi[宗氣], and the Heart, while its dysfunction could be explained by pathological factors such as Wind-Cold, Fire stagnation, Qi deficiency, Wind stroke, etc. Conclusions : In the context of external contraction disease[外感病], olfactory dysfunction could be caused by problems in the Lungs and Stomach that are responsible for breathing, or the Heart which is involved in recognizing and differentiating scent. General characteristics of COVID-19 imply it to be closely related to the Heart. In clinical application, overall symptoms need to be considered in diagnosis and treatment planning, after which further approaches could made to determine the problem to be of the Lung and Stomach, or of the Heart.
This study was conducted to examine the oral health, dental treatment and insurance awareness of the community during the COVID-19 period from September 1 to October 29, 2021 for patients who visited a local dental clinic in Gangwon-do. For analysis, SPSS Statistics 24.0 program was used. As a result of the analysis, it was found that oral health status, interest in oral health, and awareness of health insurance expansion affect dental treatment during the COVID-19 period. In addition, those who did not receive oral health education, those with a high school diploma or lower, and those with poor oral health showed positive results for dental treatment during the COVID-19. In conclusion, it is necessary to expand publicity on oral health education, and to list the cost of infection control in health insurance and separate compensation materials. In future research, I think that it is necessary to conduct research through a variety of subjects and study the expansion of insurance in detail.
