  • In 21 century information age, teachers have to help students' learning activities can be more self- directed learning. The web with diverse audio-visual materials and a great deal of interactions among contents shows lots of possibilities as one of the methods to provide self-directed learning environment for students. It allows learning environment for students to study more self-directed way by following individual learning styles, need, ability, etc. Although the best instructional method is personal field experience in the view of the characteristic of Practical Arts education. a web courseware can be a great substitutional method for improving learning effectiveness in relation to cost, safety, time limit for direct personal field experience. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop a web courseware for the unit 'Raising Animals' in Elementary school 6th grade Practical Art which is very difficult unit for teachers to provide direct experience environment for students. The researchers also applied the web courseware in 6th grade classrooms and described the results briefly. However, the researchers did not intend to conduct a full field implementation of the program to evaluate the program. That will be conducted in a following.

  • This study was designed to create a situational and procedural simulation of web-courseware which will enhance students' self-directed learning styles during the economics class in elementary schools. When teaching the students how to be wise consumers, it is important to provide them with various experiences that will lead them to make active and rational decisions. Actual experiences are, however, rather limited in reality which consequently result in learning economics only vicariously at school. The purpose of the study was, therefore, to develop a courseware which allows the student to have indirect experiences through computer simulations. The courseware will not only assist the student in making decisions and taking actions appropriately during the various situations given in the program, but also overcome the limitations of the classroom setting by using the procedural simulation.

  • The coursewares available on the web are on active development by each country all over the world in accordance with web prevailing. Many Visual Basic language courseware is also into web-based education it is not improving the effect of learning. Hence through this study, in orer to be out of the said kind of approach, 1)by adding multimedia elements with making the best of web characteristics, 2)escalating the studying effect of learners' with experimental environment, and 3)providing proper feedbacks in assessment of learners' reactions 4)we invented web-based multimedia courseware with the technology of Real Encoder, Real Player, Active X etc. and tried adapting it to school education field on the basis of design model of professor-learning system.

  • This courseware includes multimedia elements such as graphic, voice and provides simulation learning and animation learning environment. Therefore, a learner can have various learning opportunities, be encouraged learning motivation, and be improved learning outcome. The content of the implemented program in this thesis provides voice and text basically. In addition to simulation learning and animation learning are provided appropriately by the type of content. Specially by using simulation implemented from simple subjects to more complicate subjects, a learner can select the most appropriate learning course and learn the simulation step by step. Through this courseware, a learner can learn more easily and excitedly.

  • In this paper, we have selected traveling algorithms of Line-Tracer as the focused learning elements with the PBL-based programming instruction method. Line-Tracer traveling algorithm programming has been simulated using the Scratch EPL. Development of robot web courseware such as Line-Tracer can create an effective educational environment and also provide solutions for lack of environmental conditions, such as time or spatial factor restrictions and excessive expense issues; these are major obstacles to developing robot programming education. Finally, we analyzed the effects on growth of student's logical thinking and problem solving abilities by demonstrating the Scratch application courseware to the field of elementary education.

  • As the use of computers and internet service has increased fast, various web-based coursewares for the educational purpose have been devoloped. However, the development of web-based coursewares for old-aged adults is far from satisfactory. Since most existing web-based coursewares are designed for the youth, they are not proper for old aged people to use confidently. In this paper, we analyse psychological, social and physical characteristics of old aged adults and propose the starategy for designing web based coursewares for them. Then, We apply the design strategy to develop the web-based courseware in Excel subject and analyse the effect of the design strategy by means of questioning and answring.

  • In learning activities. research learning is mostly carried out in a laboratory. Learners can approach a learning process with ease and are given the chance to do the self-directed study one research experiments in advance by designing a process of research learning in the laboratory by a web-based simulation courseware. And this can offer a learner-centered model with which learners can share. exchange and interact information each other. Using a web in instructing and learning can be an appropriate implement of research and also gives learner-centered learning environment. This thesis is a study on design and implementation of a web-based simulation courseware for learning Kinetic energy through the research learning which is one of the self leading learning methods.

  • The importance of Information Technology practical use is embossed and grounding education for this was introduced from first-year student in primary school. This study is to design and implement new set of study program that can minimize individual variation in learning, analyzing the grounding education in Information and Communication. Herein basic stuff is selected for the lower grader at Elementary School and for the Courseware design, here introduced Perfect study strategy that makes use of the formative evaluation and feed back, aiming at perfect study. And also the diversified presentation of study materials with the use of multimedia can enhance the student's learning awareness. In faithful reflection of it, individual student's progress and interested in learning is incorporated into the designing the Courseware.

  • Recently substantial learning model is strongly demanded through which ICT could be effectively used at PBL, teaching and learning method, based on constructivism putting an emphasis on learner centered education. This thesis is designed to introduce the way to make the most of ICT when teachers try to make teaching plan applying PBL to science class. PBL courseware is designed to make teacher and student use by applying traditional science class model to the model for problem solving of PBL. analysing class according to the degree of connecting ICT with contents of learning. This paper suggests 8 stages of PBL package development and 5 stages of teaching pattern to grasp whole procedure.

  • The web based coursewares that are operating currently can not support individual studying capabilities appropriately. To solve this problem, this paper can provide individual students with a tool that makes contents of lessons to be organized according to study subjects, study objective, and study scope by students. And it is designed for study contents to be condensed into a courseware and be operated in a courseware. Also this method can continuously stimulate a study motivation by providing selective control system without a predefined linear study plan. And it also can have the contents of study coincide with their interests and needs. Therefore this method maximizes accomplishments for the study contents and satisfaction for way of study.
