Currently, GPS(Global Positioning System) is used to find user location information. However, in some cases, especially in urban environments, we receive unreliable location information deu to multipath fading. In order to resolve this problem, we propose a closely coupled positioning technique where GPS signal is combined with QZSS signal. Also we proposed and analyze a combining algorithm of GNSS and Wi-Fi signals to get closely coupled location information by referring AP information. Finally, this paper proposes a combined GPS/QZSS/Wi-Fi navigation algorithm to improve navigation performance, and it is verified by testing of car deriving according to availability and accuracy standard.

This study employed high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled to an on-line $ABTS^+$ radical scavenging detection (RSD) system along with HPLC-electro spin impact/mass spectrometry (ESI/MS), to rapidly determine and identify antioxidant compounds occurring in blueberry extract. The extract was separated by HPLC, and then the radical scavenging activities of the separated compounds were evaluated by the on-line coupled $ABTS^+$-RSD system. The negative peaks of the $ABTS^+$-RSD system, which indicates the presence of antioxidant activity, were monitored by measuring the decrease in absorbance at 734 nm. The active components in the blueberry extract were identified by HPLC-ESI/MS using their MS spectra and retention times. According to the data acquired from the on-line HPLC-$ABTS^+$-based assay and HPLC-ESI/MS systems, the antioxidant compounds detected in the blueberry extract were identified as chlorogenic acid and 11 anthocyanins.
A vessel/mooring/riser coupled dynamic analysis program in time domain is developed for the global motion simulation of a turret-moored, tanker based FPSO designed for 6000-ft water depth. The vessel global motions and mooring tension are simulated for the non-parallel wind-wave-current 100-year hurricane condition in the Gulf of Mexico. The wind and current forces and moments are estimated from the OCIMF empirical data base for the given loading condition. The numerical results are compared with the OTRC(Offshore Technology Research Center: Model Basin for Offshore Platforms in Texas A&M University) 1:60 model-testing results with truncated mooring system. The system's stiffness and line tension as well as natural periods and damping obtained from the OTRC measurement are checked through numerically simulated static-offset and free-decay tests. The global vessel motion simulations in the hurricane condition were conducted by varying lateral and longitudinal hull drag coefficients, different mooring and riser set up, and wind-exposed areas to better understand the sensitivity of the FPSO responses against empirical parameters. It is particularly stressed that the dynamic mooring tension can be greatly underestimated when truncated mooring system is used.
In this paper, a buck-flyback (fly-buck) stand-alone photovoltaic (PV) system for charge balancing with a differential power processor (DPP) circuit is proposed. Conventional feed-back DPP converters draw differential feed-back power from the output of a string converter. Therefore, the power is always through the switches and diodes of the string converter. Because of the returning conduction path, there are always power losses due to the resistance of the switch and the forward voltage of the diode. Meanwhile, the proposed feed-back DPP converter draws power from the magnetically-coupled inductor in a string converter. This shortens the power path of the DPP converter, which reduces the power losses. In addition, the extra winding in the magnetically-coupled inductor works as a charge balancer for battery-stacked stand-alone PV systems. The proposed system, which uses a single magnetically-coupled inductor, can control each of the PV modules independently to track the maximum power point. Thus, it can overcome the power loss due to the power path. It can also achieve charge balancing for each of the battery modules. The proposed topology is analyzed and verified using 120W hardware experiments.

As an important part of the digital reactor, the pin-by-pin wise fine coupling calculation is a research hotspot in the field of nuclear engineering in recent years. It provides more precise and realistic simulation results for reactor design, operation and safety evaluation. CORCA-K a nodal code is redeveloped as a robust pin-by-pin wise neutronics and thermal-hydraulic coupled calculation code for pressurized water reactor (PWR) core. The nodal green's function method (NGFM) is used to solve the three-dimensional space-time neutron dynamics equation, and the single-phase single channel model and one-dimensional heat conduction model are used to solve the fluid field and fuel temperature field. The mesh scale of reactor core simulation is raised from the nodal-wise to the pin-wise. It is verified by two benchmarks: NEACRP 3D PWR and PWR MOX/UO2. The results show that: 1) the pin-by-pin wise coupling calculation system has good accuracy and can accurately simulate the key parameters in steady-state and transient coupling conditions, which is in good agreement with the reference results; 2) Compared with the nodal-wise coupling calculation, the pin-by-pin wise coupling calculation improves the fuel peak temperature, the range of power distribution is expanded, and the lower limit is reduced more.
Flexible risers have been used extensively in recent years for floating and early production systems. Such risers offer the advantage of having inherent heave compliance in their catenary thereby greatly reducing the complexity of the riser-to-rig and riser-to subsea interfaces. Another advantage with flexible risers is their greater reliability. Concerns about fatigue life, gas permeation and pigging of lines have been overcome by extensive experience with these risers in production applications. In this paper, flexible riser analysis results were compared through coupled and uncoupled dynamic analyses methods. A time domain coupled analysis capability has been developed to model the dynamic responses of an integrated floating system incorporating the interactions between vessel, moorings and risers in a marine environment. For this study, SPM (Single Point Mooring) system for an FSU in shallow water was considered. This optimization model was integrated with a time-domain global motion analysis to assess both stability and design constraints of the flexible riser system.
In this study, a six degree-of-freedom motion analysis of a wind-wave hybrid platform equipped with numerous wave energy converters (WECs) was carried out. To examine the effect of the WECs on the platform, an analysis of one-way coupling was carried out, which only considered the power take-off (PTO) damping of the static WECs on the platform. The equation of motion of a floating platform with mooring lines in the time domain was established, and the responses of the one-way coupled platform were then compared with the case of a platform without any coupling effects from the WECs. The hydrodynamic coefficients and wave exciting forces were obtained from the 3D diffraction/radiation pre-processor code WAMIT based on the boundary element method. Then, an analysis of the dynamic responses of the floating platform with or without the WEC effect in the time domain was carried out. All of the dynamics of a floating platform with multiple wind turbines were obtained by coupling FAST and CHARM3D in the time domain, which was further extended to include additional coupled dynamics for multiple turbines. The analysis showed that the PTO damping effect on platform motions was negligible, but coupled effects between multiple WECs and the platform may differentiate the heave, roll, and pitch platform motions from the one without any effects induced by WECs.

In this study, in order to develop coupled vibration mode piezoelectric devices for Acoustic Emission (abbreviated as AE) sensor application with outstanding displacement and piezoelectric properties have been simulated by ATILA FEM program. And, From the results of ATILA simulation, the AE sensor specimen, obtained superior electromechanical coupling factor and displacement, when the size of specimen is $3.45mm{\Phi}{\times}3.45mm$ with ratio of diameter/thickness(${\Phi}/T$)= 1.0. Therefore, AE sensor was fabricated by (Na,K,Li)(Nb,Ta) $O_3$(abbreviated as NKL-NT) system piezoelectric ceramics using coupled vibration mode. The piezoelectric properties of NKL-NT ceramics was exhibited that piezoelectric constant($d_{33}$), piezoelectric voltage constant($g_{33}$) and electro mechanical coupling factor($k_p$) have the excellent values of 261[pC/N], 40.10[$10^{-3}Vm/N$], and 0.44, respectively. The manufactured piezoelectric device with ratio of ${\Phi}/T$= 1.0 indicated the optimum values of resonant frequency(fr)= 556.5[kHz], antiresonant frequency(fa)=631.1[kHz], and effective electromechanical coupling factor(keff)= 0.473. The maximum sensitivity of the coupled vibration mode AE sensor was 55[dB] at the resonant frequency of 75[kHz]. The results show that the coupled vibration mode piezoelectric device is a promising candidate for the application AE sensor piezoelectric device.

For the technology development of LOx/kerosene liquid rocket engine, turbopump-gas generator closed-loop coupled tests using 30tonf main engine components such as turbopump and gas generator except combustion chamber are performed. In the engine system operation environment, simulating combustion chamber by flow control units, the chill-down procedure, startup characteristics, nominal operability and smooth shutdown of turbopump+gas generator closed-loop coupled Test Plant are successfully confirmed. The serviceability of the turbopump and gas generator are evaluated. The feed-back control system for the turbopump rotational speed and gas generator mixture ratio are also verified. The results of closed-loop coupled test will be used as the technology development for the liquid rocket engine.

A fundamental study of the dynamically penetrating anchor (DPA - colloquially known as torpedo anchor) embedded into deep seabed was conducted using measurement data and numerical approaches. Numerical simulation of such a structure penetration was often suffered by severe mesh distortion arising from very large soil deformation, complex contact condition and nonlinear soil behavior. In recent years, a Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian method (CEL) has been used to solve geomechanical boundary value problems involving large deformations. In this study, 3D finite element analyses using the CEL formulation are carried out to simulate the construction process of dynamic anchors. Through comparisons with results of field measurements, the CEL method in the present study is in good agreement with the general trend observed by in-situ measurements and thus, predicts a realistic large deformation movement for the dynamic anchors by free-fall dropping, which the conventional FE method cannot. Additionally, the appropriate parametric studies needed for verifying the characteristic of dynamic anchor are also discussed.
