A narrow-band dual TE$_{111}$ mode circular waveguide filter for Ku-Band satellite transponder was designed and manufactured based on a new model of the filter. We calculated the cavity size, pin polarizer depth and diameter, iris length and width, and used Bethe's Small Diffraction Theory and Chon's Correction Formular in order to obtain exact Result for each cavity. The designed dual model waveguide filter was manufactured with invar in order to maintain the thermal stability, and the filter performance was improved through the thermal test and vibration test to endure in the cosmic environment.

The theory of terrestrial impact which has been developed by the astronomy scientists since 1970s is employed for this article in a new angle that atmospheric conditions of our planet should be adopted in the interpretation of the history of mankind. Large and small terrestrial impacts must be acknowledged as key tasks in terms of the study of 'world history'. The Society of Interdisciplinary Studies has already advocated that the 'Bronze Age Civilization' was strongly influenced by the long term terrestrial impact phenomena. Based on historical materials from Korea, the present study was able to identify the years 680-880, 1100-1220, 1340-1420, and 1490-1760 as periods in which territorial impacts occurred.

The design method of 85 GHz-115 GHz band single side-band filter using the principle of martin-puplett inteferometer is described. It has been designed by this method and also manufactured and tested. From the test results, not only the ratio of image singal rejection of 19 dB is obtained, but also the theoretical and experimental results of center frequency of pass-band and rejection-band show the validity of the theory. This manufactured filter was installed on 100GHz band SiS (superconductor insulator superconductor ) receiver for observing cosmic radio waves and tested. We found that this filter can be used a single side-band as well as double side-band mode. The design method which is presented in this paper can be used a single side-band filter for a heterodyne type sub-milimeter wave receiver.

100GHz와 150GHz 대역의 우주전파를 동시에 관측하기 위한 준광학계가 설계, 제작되었다. 밀리미터파 및 서브밀리미터파 대역의 전송수단으로 널리 이용되고 있는 준광학계는 가우시안 빔으로 해석된다. 따라서 가우시안 빔 이론을 이용하여, 광대역 주파수 범위에서 주로 사용되는 영상 빔 방법으로 준광학계를 해설한다. 이중채널 준광학계는 두 대역의 전파를 동시에 관측하기 위해서, 두 개의 빔을 유도하는 시스템이다. 따라서 두 빔을 유도하기 위한 준광학계와 준광학계를 구성하는 각 부품은 영상 빔 방법을 이용하여 설계하였다. 이러한 설계를 바탕으로 준광학계의 각 소자들이 제작되었고, 전체 시스템이 구현되었다. 제작된 준광학계는 자체에서 제작한 빔 측정장치를 이용하여 측정함으로써, 설계에 대한 검증과 정확한 제작여부를 확인하였다. 그리고 제작된 시스템은 이중채널 수신기에 설치되어, 우주전파를 동시에 성공적으로 관측함으로써 그 성능이 입증되었다.

현대사회의 병리현상 중에서 매우 심각하게 문제를 야기하는 "중독(中毒)" 현상에 대한 도가철학적 해석과 해결 방안을 모색하는 것이 본고의 의도이다. 이를 위해 철학적 사유의 지평에서 중독을 관조는 법을 구명하였다. 질병은 고정불변의 실체를 지니는 존재자가 아니라 균형과 조화를 상실한 일종의 현상으로서 파악해야 한다. 이에 대한 치료는 해독약으로서의 약(藥)을 처방할 수 있다. 약 자체가 독약과 양약의 구분이 모호한 물질적 존재로서, 조화와 균형의 시각에서 약을 다루어야만 중독 현상의 해결에 유효할 수 있다. 중독 현상을 보는 도가철학의 관점은 만물의 개별자가 지니는 욕망의 일탈 또는 욕망의 과잉으로 빚어진 병리 현상이다. 개별자는 우주자연의 변화과정 속에 일시적으로 존재하는 과정적 존재일 뿐이다. 이런 도가적 세계관을 계승하는 유파로서의 한의철학이 있다. 도가적 한의철학의 지평에서 중독 현상은 마음의 조화와 균형을 잃는 것에서 온다. 해결의 방법도 마음의 혼란 상태[마(魔)]를 안정시키는 것에서 시작한다. 병리현상으로서의 중독은 실제로는 실체적 본질이 없다. 질병 현상은 삶의 어떤 계기나 인연에 의하여 조금씩 쌓여 견고하게 굳어진 일종의 일시적 현상일 뿐, 영원한 본질이 있는 악의 표상이 아니다. 이런 이치를 자각하는 순간 그런 병리현상에서 벗어날 수 있는 길이 열린다. 도가철학의 진단과 처방은 단호하다. 욕망의 일탈이 바로 병리현상을 일으킨다. 과유불급(過猶不及)이다. 과(過)와 불급(不及) 사이의 조화와 균형을 찾는 일이 중요하다. 그리하면 병리적 중독과 같은 모든 시름은 우주변화의 풍랑에 씻기어 간다.

But there exist differences of thoughts between the orient and the occident. And they have dif-ferent thinking way of aestheticism and references of the value on the beauty. Not only beauty but the view through the mind as intuitional thought in which not only the rec-ognition of sense but also the rationalism and the naturalness play key role. The aesthetic sense in the orient contains both the truth and virtue. 2) The beauty of the mean It's from the thought of neutralization of Confucius. The mean or moderation state which in harmony with ethical virtue and aes-thetic beauty is the ideal and is the ultimate. Therefore the thought of Confucian is the creativity in which the balance and the har-mony is most important. Fashion design is also one of the representation of the mean because the spirit of the designer is harmonized for-mlessly with the object of the model of the fashion design. 2) The beauty of skillfulness It indicates the Taoism of Lao-tzu and Chuangtzu. It takes a super-artistic declar-ation that human can feel and recognize the color of colorlessness the sound of sound-lessness and the taste of tastelessness. The thought of arts affected by Taoism is 'ad-vanced age' called the beauty of skillfulness. The view of arts of lao-tzu takes the beauty of cosmos and the nature as a standard. Es-pecially the beauty of inactivity is recognized by the linkage between the beauty and the ugliness. And these things appear in fashion design as a design element such as humor or exaggeration. 3) The beauty of non-dualism It is thought of Buddhism that all evil passions of worry occur form the opposition in dualism. Finally this thought leads to that everything is consistent and truth is only one from the point of view that virtue and vice has on linkage that is 'no virtues no vices' and 'one with two, two, with one, one is not two' A big tendency like this became the root forma-tion of the thought of the oriental arts. 3. Characteristics of the oriental aesthetic sense on the present fashion design 1) The formation of the fashion design on the oriental elements In the picture-incantation which was a representation of an era when the thought of 'cosmic dual forces' dominated the basic polygons of 'a circle square triangle' means both 'one two three' and 'the negative positive mean' of cosmic elements. A thought of Buddhism which is 'Colors are colorlessness and Clolorlessness are color's proves that. 3) The pattern and symbolic representation of the fashion design on the oriental elements The pattern as a visual style is a figure of symbolic representation which adopt the mental and physical world of human and are the compo-sition of artistic revelation of the human nature and the religous thought of incantation. Es-pecially the symbolic representation of the oriental thought of Confusion. Buddhism and Taoism There are patterns such as plants aminals the oriental four gods and geometry. From the above it's the time toward the 21'th century when the world is constructing one global area and one historical zone. And the exotic mood of the Orient represented in the fashion which doesn't make the common feeling in general does not cease to develop only to express the visual modeling but also adopts the thought religion and the art which are the root of the Orientail and contains inherent willing of modeling.

We present joint constraints on the number of effective neutrino species $N_{eff}$ and the sum of neutrino masses ${\Sigma}m_{\nu}$, based on a technique which exploits the full information contained in the one-dimensional Lyman-${\alpha}$ forest flux power spectrum, complemented by additional cosmological probes. In particular, we obtain $N_{eff}=2.91{\pm}0.22$ (95% CL) and ${\Sigma}m_{\nu}$ < 0.15 eV (95% CL) when we combine BOSS Lyman-${\alpha}$ forest data with CMB (Planck+ACT+SPT+WMAP polarization) measurements, and $N_{eff}=2.88{\pm}0.20$ (95% CL) and ${Sigma}m_{\nu}$ < 0.14 eV (95% CL) when we further add baryon acoustic oscillations. Our results tend to favor the normal hierarchy scenario for the masses of the active neutrino species, provide strong evidence for the Cosmic Neutrino Background from $N_{eff}{\approx}3$($N_{eff}=0$ is rejected at more than $14{\sigma}$), and rule out the possibility of a sterile neutrino thermalized with active neutrinos (i.e., $N_{eff}=4$) - or more generally any decoupled relativistic relic with $${\Delta}N_{eff}{\sim_=}1$$ - at a significance of over $5{\sigma}$, the strongest bound to date, implying that there is no need for exotic neutrino physics in the concordance ${\Lambda}CDM$ model.

In Anthropology, ceremonies which human should pass in lives are difined as ‘Rites of Passage’. Each Rite has its own Clothing style, which is little different from general Clothing in shape, composition, color, meaning, etc. This Study shows composition and characters on Birth Ceremony Clothing through Documents and Survey around Chonnam Area. Survey Area is subdivided into 3 parts : Koksung(A Basin of Sumjin River-Eastern Area of Chonnam), Na-ju( A Basin of Yeongsan River-Western Area of Chonnam), and Kangjin(Southern Area of Chonnam). This Study analyses characters on Baenaet Jogori, 100th-day Clothing and First-birthday Clothing in Chonnam Area. In case of Baenaet Jogori, its shape in Survey is similiar to that of documents. In case of 100th-day Clothing, New Jogori and Baji have been made usually. First-Birthday(called “Dol”) Clothing shows difference between male and female infant. Male clothing consists of Pungcha Baji, Jokki, Magoja, Doltti while Female clothing consists of Pungcha Baji, Chima, Jumoni, and Doltti. In making of infant Clothing, 5-colors(Blue. Red, Yellow, White, Black) which consists of basic color in the Theory of the cosmic dual forces and Shape of Letters such as 壽ㆍ福ㆍ亞ㆍ卍 are used usually. This kind of colors and Shape of letters symbolize longevity and fortune. As a result of study, I find what Ritual Clothing in Birth has many symbolic meaning which reflects life-style culture. This study lay meaning on that deals infant clothings as a kind of Ritual Clothing.

The inverse Compton scattering of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation with electrons in the intracluster medium which has a temperature gradient, was examined by the third-order perturbation theory of the Compton scattering. A new type of the spectrum distortion of the CMB was found and named as gradient T Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect (gradT SZE). The spectrum has an universal shape. There is a zero distortion point, the cross over frequency, at 326GHz. When the hotter region locates closer to an observer, the intensity becomes brighter than the CMB in the frequency region lower than the cross over frequency and fainter than the CMB in the frequency region higher than the cross over frequency. When the cooler region locates closer to an observer, the distorted part of the spectrum has an opposite sign to the above case. The amplitude of the spectrum distortion does not de-pend on the electron density and depends on the heat conductivity and the total temperature variation along a line of sight. Therefore, the gradT SZE provides an unique opportunity to measure thermally nonequilibrium electron momentum distribution function in the ICM and combined with the X-ray measurements of the electron temperature distribution provides an opportunity of direct measurement of the heat conductivity in the ICM.

The Cosmic Mach number M is the ratio of the bulk flow velocity of the galaxrvelocity field on some scale R to the unall scale velocity dispersion within refcions of scale R. Because M is the ratio of two velocities, it is inn-dimansionat and the Here, independent of the amplitude of the power specHim and of the biasplnmeter in the linear theory. We have measured the Mach rnlmber for two observational samples: a spiral galaxy sample(AHM) of Aaronson and hiscoBlaborators with absolute distances measured by the infrared Ttillr-Fisher relatioa and an elliptical galaxy sample(EGALS) of Faber or 0, with distances determined by the relation. The effective depths distances of galaxies from the Local Group of these samples are 1639 km/s and 2862 e/s, respectivelr. The Machnumbers from these observed peculiar velocity Selds He fund as M=0.95 for AHMand M=0.59 for EGALS. We comPBre these calculated Mach numbers with thosefrom meck surweys drawn fuom three cosnulogical medels: the stand8rd biased nh=0.5 CDM modet an open CDM rrudel with gh=0.2, and a medd with thepower-law power specelm P(k)-k-1 and n=1. The Mach rnlmber test can give robust constraints on these cosmelogical nudels whose power spectra have very different shapes at large scales.
