한강수계 굴포천과 안양천에서 안정동위원소와 수질 특성을 이용한 입자성 물질의 기원 추적 (Source Tracking of Particular Matters using Stable Isotope Analysis and Water Quality Characteristics in Gulpo and Anyang Stream, Han-River)

  • This study aims to identify the characteristics of organic matter and pollutant sources using water quality and stable isotope ratios (δ15N, δ13C) of the two inflow tributaries (Gulpo (GP) and Anyang (AY) streams). Water samples were analyzed in June and September 2018, and the results showed that the concentrations of nutrients, such as TN and NO3-N, were increased at GP4, which is located at the downstream of sewage treatment facilities(STFs). TOC and TN ratios showed a strong positive correlation (R2 = 0.77, p<0.01) at all points except for GP4. The results of GP's stable isotope ratio analysis do not appear to be a constant cluster compared to AY because GPs with large amounts of pollutants from the industry (metal processing companies, etc.) have less tributary, shorter waterway and significantly different external sources. This could be attributed to different sources of external inflow despite its smaller number of tributaries and shorter waterways than AY. In the first half of the year, the δ155N of GP4 was affected by discharge of STFs, while AY3 seemed to have an influence of tributary than the discharge of STFs. Consequently, using water quality, stable isotope ratio and C/N, the sources of contamination in two streams with different contaminants were identified and origin was estimated.

VALIDATION OF SEA ICE MOTION DERIVED FROM AMSR-E AND SSM/I DATA USING MODIS DATA

  • Since longer wavelength microwave radiation can penetrate clouds, satellite passive microwave sensors can observe sea ice of the entire polar region on a daily basis. Thus, it is becoming popular to derive sea ice motion vectors from a pair of satellite passive microwave sensor images observed at one or few day interval. Usually, the accuracies of derived vectors are validated by comparing with the position data of drifting buoys. However, the number of buoys for validation is always quite limited compared to a large number of vectors derived from satellite images. In this study, the sea ice motion vectors automatically derived from pairs of AMSR-E 89GHz images (IFOV = 3.5 ${\times}$ 5.9km) by an image-to-image cross correlation were validated by comparing with sea ice motion vectors manually derived from pairs of cloudless MODIS images (IFOV=250 ${\times}$ 250m). Since AMSR-E and MODIS are both on the same Aqua satellite of NASA, the observation time of both sensors are the same. The relative errors of AMSR-E vectors against MODIS vectors were calculated. The accuracy validation has been conducted for 5 scenes. If we accept relative error of less than 30% as correct vectors, 75% to 92% of AMSR-E vectors derived from one scene were correct. On the other hand, the percentage of correct sea ice vectors derived from a pair of SSM/I 85GHz images (IFOV = 15 ${\times}$ 13km) observed nearly simultaneously with one of the AMSR-E images was 46%. The difference of the accuracy between AMSR-E and SSM/I is reflecting the difference of IFOV. The accuracies of H and V polarization were different from scene to scene, which may reflect the difference of sea ice distributions and their snow cover of each scene.

디지털 혈관 조영술 영상의 3차원적 해석 (Three-Dimensional Digital Subtraction Angiography)

  • 본 논문에서는 디지탈 감산 기법을 이용한 양면 혈관 조영술 영상에서의 대응점 결정을 위하여 조영제 말단 추적 알고리즘을 사용하였고, 이 대응점 정보로부터 혈관의 3차원 영상을 재구성하는 과정을 확립하였으며, 개를 이용한 실험 결과도 포함되어 있다. 저자들에 의해 개발된 본 방법의 정확성을 입증하기 위해 사각에서 잡은 혈관 조영상과 계산을 통해 재구성된 영상을 비교하여 좋은 결과를 얻었다. 본 논문에서는 3가지의 새로운 알고리즘을 개발, 또는 응용하였는바, 첫째는, 순차적인 영상에서 조영제의 말단은 어느 투영면에서도 동일한 형태를 갖게 되므로, 상호 상관 계수의 접합법을 이용하여 조영제 말단을 추적해 가는 알고리즘이고, 둘째는, 기준좌표계에서 시선좌표계로의 전환을 4×4행렬 하나로 표시한 단순화 투시 변환 행렬의 구성이며, 셋째는, 조영제 말단 추적법이 적용될 수 없는 작은 혈관 영상에서의 대응점 확립을 위한 보조알고리즘의 적용이 그것이다. 또한 본 방법은 3차원 공간상에서의 조영제 말단 이동거리에 대한 정보로부터 혈류속도의 측정에도 이용될 수 있다.

초단기 강우예측을 위한 기상레이더 강우장 추적기법 개발 (Development of Radar Tracking Technique for the Short -Term Rainfall Field Forecasting-)

  • 초단기 홍수예보를 위한 주요자료로서 최근 기상레이더의 중요성이 크게 부각되고 있다. 기상레이더는 넓은 지역에 걸쳐 실시간으로 강우현상 감시가 가능하며 지상우량계로는 파악이 불가능한 미계측유역을 통과하는 강우장의 이동 및 변화 파악이 가능한 장점이 있다. 본 연구는 강우장의 공간적 분포와 레이더 강우세포를 추적하는 강우장 예측 해석방안을 수립하였다. 이를 위해 강우장의 공간적인 이동을 고려하기 위해 강우장의 바람장 이류(advection) 패턴을 추출하여 각 강우세포가 가지는 이동방향 및 속도를 고려한 강우장 추적기법을 통하여 강우장을 예측하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 개발된 기상레이더 강우장 상관분석 기법을 활용한 초단기강우예측 결과는 집중호우시 홍수 예 경보를 위한 수문모형의 입력자료로 활용이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

The Development of Modularized Post Processing GPS Software Receiving Platform using MATLAB Simulink

  • Modularized GPS software defined radio (SDR) has many advantages of applying and modifying algorithm. Hardware based GPS receiver uses many hardware parts (such as RF front, correlators, CPU and other peripherals) that process tracked signal and navigation data to calculate user position, while SDR uses software modules, which run on general purpose CPU platform or embedded DSP. SDR does not have to change hardware part and is not limited by hardware capability when new processing algorithm is applied. The weakness of SDR is that software correlation takes lots of processing time. However, in these days the evolution of processing power of MPU and DSP leads the competitiveness of SDR against the hardware GPS receiver. This paper shows a study of modulization of GPS software platform and it presents development of the GNSS software platform using MATLAB Simulink™. We focus on post processing SDR platform which is usually adapted in research area. The main functions of SDR are GPS signal acquisition, signal tracking, decoding navigation data and calculating stand alone user position from stored data that was down converted and sampled intermediate frequency (IF) data. Each module of SDR platform is categorized by function for applicability for applying for other frequency and GPS signal easily. The developed software platform is tested using stored data which is down-converted and sampled IF data file. The test results present that the software platform calculates user position properly.

  • 미래의 불확실성이 높을수록 회사의 경영자의 고민은 커지는데, 이러한 불확실성을 해소할 수 있는 핵심 열쇠로 창의성을 꼽을 수 있다. 본 연구는 비즈니스 문제 해결 창의성(Business Problem Solving Creativity, BPSC)과 기업 의사결정자의 개방적 성향 간의 관계에 대해 확인하고, 주의력이 BPSC와 개방적 성향 간의 조절 효과를 갖는지 아이트래킹 기법으로 확인한다. 주의력 측정을 위해 '문제 해결과 무관한 정보처리 과정'(IRP)을 개발하였다. 연구결과, 의사결정자의 개방적 성향과 BPSC는 양의 상관관계가 있음을 입증하였으며, 기존의 창의성 연구와는 달리 주의력은 개방적 성향과 BPSC 간의 부의 조절 효과가 있음을 입증하였다. 본 연구는 BPSC는 빠르게 변화하는 경영 환경에서 문제를 해결하는 의사결정자의 창의적 능력이나 성과를 측정하는 행동과학 연구로 실무적 가치가 높다. 또한, 기업 의사결정자의 성향과 BPSC와의 상관성을 입증하여, BPSC 발현의 심리적 메커니즘을 규명함으로써 경영학 창의성 연구에 기여하였다.

Analysis of GPS Signal Acquisition Performance

  • Acquisition is to detect the presence of the GPS signal. Once the signal is detected, the estimated frequency and code phase are passed to a tracking loop to demodulate the navigation data. In order to detect the weak signal, multiple length of data integration is always needed. In this paper, we present five different acquisition approaches based on circular correlation and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), using coherent as well as non-coherent integration techniques for the multiple length of collected GPS satellite signal. Moreover a general approach of determining the acquisition threshold is introduced based on noise distribution which has been proved effective, and independent of the hardware. In the end of this paper, the processing speed and acquisition gain of each method are illustrated, compared, and analyzed. The results show that coherent approach is much more time consuming compared to noncoherent approaches, and in the case of multiple length of data integration from 2ms to 8ms, the processing times consumed by the fastest non-coherent acquisition method are only 25.87% to 1.52% in a single search, and 34.76% to 1.06% in a global search of those in the coherent acquisition. However, coherent acquisition also demonstrates its better performance in the acquisition gain, and in the case of 8ms of data integration it is 4.23 to 4.41 dB higher than that in the non-coherent approaches. Finally, an applicable scheme of combining coherent and non-coherent acquisition approaches in the development of a real-time Software GPS receiver in the University of Tokyo is provided.

2014년 강원 폭설동안 GPS 가강수량 탐측 (Remote Sensing of GPS Precipitable Water Vapor during 2014 Heavy Snowfall in Gangwon Province)

  • GPS 상시관측소와 위성 신호 전송 과정에서 발생되는 대류권에서의 GPS 신호 지연은 가강수량을 복원하는데 사용되고 있다. 지상 기반의 GPS를 이용한 수증기 탐측 기술은 태풍 모니터링, 기후변화 추적을 장기간 수증기 관측 분야에서 유용하다. 본 연구에서는 2014년 영동지방에 폭설이 내리는 동안 우리나라의 GPS 가강수량 변화 추세를 분석하였다. GPS 가강수량이 증가된 이후 강설이 발생되는 경향이 나타났으며, 강릉과 울진에서 최대 GPS 가 강수량이 발생한 일정 시간 이후에 최대 신적설이 기록되었다. 또한 이번 폭설 이벤트 동안 고층기상관측시스템으로부터 분석된 K-index와 total index 및 GPS 가강수량에는 밀접한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

심박수 적응형 심박 조율 알고리즘 설계 및 평가: 시뮬레이션 연구 (Design and Evaluation of Blending Algorithm for Rate Adaptive Pace: Simulation Study)

  • In this study, we designed a blending algorithm for rate adaptive pacing for cardiac pacemaker. Generally, rate adaptive pacing (RAP) is applied to patients whose heart rate does not rise during exercise for chronotropic incompetence (CI) patient. It is very important to develop an algorithm for RAP that can be properly applied to CI patients. In order to design an RAP algorithm we used dual sensors. Firstly, we designed a bio-signal measurement system based on the dual sensors, which are accelerometer and respiratory system. Secondly, we conducted treadmill test for the simulation experiment while using 3-lead ECG as reference. Finally, we designed a blending algorithm based on activation state of the dual sensors. The proposed blending algorithm was subdivided into three sections based on the accelerometer signal, which are rapidly increased section (W1), hardly changed section (W2), and decreased section (W3). Each weight is set aside for each section. To evaluate this algorithm, ten healthy adult males were participated. The correlation and Root Mean Square Error between the proposed algorithm and the reference were compared, and shown to be r=0.88 and 2.82 bpm, respectively. These results show that the proposed blending algorithm of dual sensors enables proper tracking of the heart rate during exercise. Also, it shows the possibility that the proposed blending algorithm can be applied to improve quality of life of the chronotropic incompetence patient.

Double Boost Power-Decoupling Topology Suitable for Low-Voltage Photovoltaic Residential Applications Using Sliding-Mode Impedance-Shaping Controller

  • This paper proposes a practical sliding-mode controller design for shaping the impedances of cascaded boost-converter power decoupling circuits for reducing the second order harmonic ripple in photovoltaic (PV) current. The cascaded double-boost converter, when used as power decoupling circuit, has some advantages in terms of a high step-up voltage-ratio, a small number of switches and a better efficiency when compared to conventional topologies. From these features, it can be seen that this topology is suitable for residential (PV) rooftop systems. However, a robust controller design capable of rejecting double frequency inverter ripple from passing to the (PV) source is a challenge. The design constraints are related to the principle of the impedance-shaping technique to maximize the output impedance of the input-side boost converter, to block the double frequency PV current ripple component, and to prevent it from passing to the source without degrading the system dynamic responses. The design has a small recovery time in the presence of transients with a low overshoot or undershoot. Moreover, the proposed controller ensures that the ripple component swings freely within a voltage-gap between the (PV) and the DC-link voltages by the small capacitance of the auxiliary DC-link for electrolytic-capacitor elimination. The second boost controls the main DC-link voltage tightly within a satisfactory ripple range. The inverter controller performs maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for the input voltage source using ripple correlation control (RCC). The robustness of the proposed control was verified by varying system parameters under different load conditions. Finally, the proposed controller was verified by simulation and experimental results.
