The Effect of Teaching Behavior Styles of Fisheries & Maritime High School Teacher on Students' Satisfaction in Major Subject Classes (수산·해운계열 고등학교 교사의 교수행동유형이 학생의 전공교과 수업만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze how teaching behavior styles of fisheries & maritime high school teacher on students' satisfaction in major subject classes. A survey was conducted for high school students from fisheries & maritime high school. The results were as followed. First, there is a statistically significant correlation between fisheries & maritime high school teacher's teaching behavior styles and student's classes satisfaction. In other words, teaching behavior styles should be different according to the individual differences of students' learning. Second, fisheries & maritime high school teacher's teaching behavior styles has some significant influence on student's classes satisfaction. Diversity Teaching behaviors had a statistically significant effect on content satisfaction. Interaction teaching behavior, diversity teaching behavior style, and individualized teaching behavior style had a statistically significant effect on method satisfaction. For the evaluation satisfaction, there was a significant statistically significant effect of clarity on teaching behavior styles and diversity teaching behavior type. It is necessary to improve the content satisfaction of the students through the application of the teaching method considering the difference of understanding of the contents of each student.

The Effects of the Recognition of Collaborative Classes between Native English Speakers and Korean English Teachers on the Definition Factors of the Learner (원어민과 한국인 영어교사의 협동수업에 대한 인식이 학습자의 정의적 요인에 미치는 영향)

  • This study sought to find out what the most ideal and appropriate native English speakers-Korean English teacher cooperative class model and the defining factors for organizing effective cooperative classes in the English education environment of our country. To achieve this goal, a total of 165 sixth graders of five elementary schools in Seoul were subject to the study. For about a month from April 1 to April 30, 2019, the survey and statistical analysis were conducted, including multiple return analysis, correlation analysis, cross analysis, and t/F verification. In summary, the results of the study are as follows. First, it was found that among the recognition of cooperative classes between native English speakers and Korean English teachers, it affected the defining factors in the order of class-related skills, task orientation, teaching-learning strategies, and motivation. Second, based on learner characteristics, the difference in perception of cooperative classes between native English speakers and Korean English teachers was verified, and the perception of native-Korean English teachers' cooperative classes was different depending on gender and the type of English cooperative classes currently participating, but the recognition of native-Korean English-Korean English cooperative classes, which were statistically significant, was not confirmed. Third, according to learner characteristics, the difference in the definition factors of the learner was verified and the difference between the sexes occurred, but the learner-defined factors according to the current type of English cooperative class did not occur. Also, there was no difference in the definition factors of scholars according to the type of English cooperative classes desired.

An Analysis of the Characteristics of Elementary Science Gifted Students' Problem Solving through Model Eliciting Activity(MEA) (Model Eliciting Activity(MEA)를 통한 초등 과학영재들의 문제해결 특성 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze elementary science gifted students' characteristics of the thinking in the problem solving process through a MEA(Model Eliciting Activity)activity. The subjects of this study are 40 elementary science gifted students who passed the first screen for the admission to the science gifted education institute in P university in 2018. The MEA activity was 'Coffee cup challenge', which is to find the best way to place cup side and bottom to save paper in a given material. Three drawings from each student and explanations of each drawing through out the design process were collected as the main data source. The data were analyzed by statistically (correlation coefficient) and qualitatively to find the relationship between; 1) the intuitive thinking and visual representation and 2) analytical thinking ability and communication skills that reflect MEA activities. In conclusion, first, intuitive thinking plays an important role in the ability of visual representation through pictures and the whole problem solving process. Second, the analytical thinking and elaboration process which are reflected through reflection on the arrangement of the drawings have a great influence on the communication skills. Therefore, this study investigated that MEA activities are useful activities to stimulate both intuitive and analytical thinking in elementary science gifted students, and to develop communication ability, by organizing their own ideas and providing learning opportunities for various solutions.

Effects of Undergraduate Students' Stress, Social Support, and Resilience on College Life Adjustment (대학생의 스트레스, 사회적지지, 회복탄력성이 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of stress, social support, and resilience on the university life as predictors of college life adjustment. For this purpose, the questionnaires were administered to 145 college students in Busan, and correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and mediation analysis were conducted using SPSS 18.0. The main results are as follows. First, the significant factors influencing college life adjustment were stress (B = -.351, p <.01), social support(B = -.210, p <.05) resilience (B = .355, p < .01), 30.6% explanatory power, and resilience was the most influential factor. Among the sub-factors of stress, interpersonal stress and academic stress has a negative effect. In addition, friendship support had a statistically significant effect on social support, and resilience subscale was life satisfaction and cause analysis ability. In addition, stress was found to be partly mediated in the relationship between social support and college life adjustment. Based on this study, the strategies for lowering the stress, improving the resilience of the university students in order to improve the college life adaptation were provided.

Self-Awareness and Coping Behavior of Smartphone Dependence among Undergraduate Students (대학생의 스마트폰 의존 자각과 대처 행동)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the self-awareness of smartphone dependence among undergraduate students and their response to the same. The data was drawn from a survey on smartphone overdependence conducted by the Ministry of Science and information and communications technology (ICT) and the National Information Society Agency in 2017. The responses of 1,735 undergraduate students were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, minimum-maximum value, ��2-test, independent t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results indicated that 22.3% of participants were at risk of smartphone dependence, and 63.6% of them were unaware of their dependence on smartphones. The perception of smartphone dependence was significantly associated with a higher risk of smartphone dependence (��=.35, p=.000) and the increasing use of applications such as games (��=.19, p=.000), television/video (��=.11, p=.000), and learning (��=.11, p=.000). Of the participants with dependence awareness, only a few knew about the existence of centers to prevent smartphone and internet dependence. Moreover, they rarely utilized these centers. However, the participants felt the need for more counseling agencies (26.8%), programs for dealing with oneself (23.2%), information about smartphone dependence (14.9%), and help to overcome dependence (10.9%). These findings show the need to establish public services so that students can easily access correct information on smartphone dependence and address this problem.

The Effect of Early Childhood Teacher's Styles for Conflict Management Type on Cooperative Organizational Culture (유아교사 갈등관리 유형이 협동적 조직문화에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the effects of pre-service teacher's cooperative organizational culture on the conflict management type. The subjects were 138 preschool teachers. The data were obtained by self-reporting and used to investigate the teacher's conflict management type and cooperative organizational culture. The collected data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient analysis and stepwise regression analysis. The major findings in this study were as follows; First, there was a relationship between the cooperative organizational culture of early childhood teachers and the overall type of conflict management. The overall cooperative organizational culture had the strongest relationship, particularly with the integrated type of conflict management. The following appeared in the order of compromise, consideration, and domination. On the other hand, there was no relationship with the avoidance type. Second, regarding the sub-factor of conflict management type that affects the cooperative organizational culture of early childhood teachers, the integrated type has the strongest influence, followed by the caring type. In the sub-factor of cooperative organizational culture, the integrated type has the strongest influence on the cooperative leadership, followed by the caring type. The integrated type had the greatest influence on teacher cooperation, peer support, and learning companion.

Clinical Nursing Instructors' Teaching Efficacy and Nursing Students' Clinical Practice Satisfaction (임상실습지도자의 교수효능감과 간호대학생의 임상실습 만족도)

  • To determine clinical nursing instructors' teaching efficacy, students' clinical practice satisfaction, and confirm between correlation, and develop a plan for operating nursing education efficiently for clinical practice. Clinical practice could create an optimal learning situation. We applied CNITEs and CPS to measure clinical nursing instructor teaching efficacy and clinical practice satisfaction. The differences in teaching efficacy by the general characteristics were measured and analyzed; the higher the level of the participants' education, position, clinical career, and clinical teaching career, the higher their teaching efficacy. The higher the age at clinical practice, the higher the clinical efficacy of clinical practitioners with clinical career and higher education level students were more satisfied with the practice subject and nursing instruction than other categories. Therefore, in order to increase the satisfaction of nursing students' practice in the clinical field, we hope to improve various things that can be used not only teaching efficacy but also in clinical practice satisfaction.

The Relationship among Coach Support, Resilience and Self-Rated Health for Golf Participants (골프참여자의 코치지원과 적응유연성 및 주관적 건강의 관계)

  • This study was conducted with the goal of establishing a foothold for lifelong sports as well as establishing golf as a desirable leisure activity through the analysis of the relationship between golf participants' coach support, resilience and self-rated health. To achieve the goal of this study, a total of 300 questionnaires were distributed and 300 copies were collected back. Out of those returned questionnaires, insincerely replied or double-replied questionnaires were excluded and finally 278 questionnaires were analyzed for this study. For analysis of the data, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equating modeling were conducted using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. Main findings were as follows: First coach support had a positive effect on resilience. Second, resilience had a positive effect on self-rated health. Third, coach support had a positive effect on self-rated health. Fourth, resilience mediated the relationship between golf participant coach support and self-rated health. Therefore, golf instructors should achieve specialization and diversification of educational programs through continuous learning about various teaching methods.

A Study on the Prediction of Strawberry Production in Machine Learning Infrastructure (머신러닝 기반 시설재배 딸기 생산량 예측 연구)

  • Recently, agricultural sites are automating into digital agricultural smart farms by applying technologies such as big data and Internet of Things (IoT). These smart farms aim to increase production and improve crop quality by measuring the environment of crops, investigating and processing data. Production prediction is an important study in smart farm digital agriculture, which is a high-tech agriculture, and it is necessary to analyze environmental data using big data and further standardized research to manage the quality of growth information data. In this paper, environmental and production data collected from smart farm strawberry farms were analyzed and studied. Based on regression analysis, crop production prediction models were analyzed using Ridge Regression, LightGBM, and XGBoost. Among the three models, the optimal model was XGBoost, and R2 showed 82.5 percent explanatory power. As a result of the study, the correlation between the amount of positive fluid absorption and environmental data was confirmed, and significant results were obtained for the production prediction study. In the future, it is expected to contribute to the prevention of environmental pollution and reduction of sheep through the management of sheep by studying the amount of sheep absorption, such as information on the growing environment of crops and the ingredients of sheep.

The Structural Relationship between Parents' Positive Parenting Attitude, Negative Parenting Attitude, Emotional Problems, and Academic Helplessness Perceived by Middle School Students (중학생이 지각하는 부모의 긍정적 양육태도, 부정적 양육태도, 정서문제, 학습무기력 사이의 구조적 관계)

  • This study examines the structural relationship between parents' positive parenting attitudes, negative parenting attitudes, emotional problems, and academic helplessness. To this end, the data of 2,590 first-year middle school students in the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018 were used to understand the structural relationship between variables. For this study, the correlation between variables was examined with SPSS 21.0, and the structural relationship between variables was identified with AMOS 21.0. The research results are as follows. First, it was found that the positive parenting attitude and negative parenting attitude of parents had a significant effect on academic helplessness. Second, parents' positive and negative parenting attitudes had a significant effect on emotional problems. Third, emotional problems had a significant positive effect on academic ability. Fourth, emotional problems were partially mediated between parents' positive parenting attitudes, negative parenting attitudes, and academic helplessness. In other words, the emotions of adolescents affected by their parents' parenting attitudes affect their learning. Through this study, it is meaningful to confirm that emotional problems can be treated as factors that influence studies, not simply limited to factors influenced by other factors.
