  • In business training, the biggest change through training plan, choosing trainees and conducting the training has been on education environment by information system. These changes are to attain effective learning based on the customer not the supplier. However there are still passive operation on the companies' strategic training course. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to offer alternatives for the difficulties on educational training operation and to find the way for effective operation.

  • E-Learning, a technology-based learning process is the obtaining of knowledge from the basis of IT technology. The development of e-Learning requires corporate educational staff as well as HR staff, who manage e-learning, to drastically change their roles. The main reason for this is that the properly adapted and highly experienced education and training abilities of HR staff could accelerate the adoption and usage of e-Learning but they need to clearly select and define an appropriate curriculum from among the extensive mass-customized content with an e-learning basis. Here the research has analyzed the influence of the introduction and usage of e-Learning in hotels on HR staff and their roles from the viewpoint of hermeneutic phenomenology.

  • The aim of this study was to analyze effects of a blended learning program based on case study approach and to suggest implications in appropriately evaluating blended learning in practices for corporate education and training. In order to achieve the goal, issues such as the ones related to blended learning including development and status quo of blended learning programs in the field of corporate education and training and operation models for the blended learning were reviewed. Then, the outcomes of a blended learning program were completely analyzed through systems approach. The methodology of the study was a mixed research method which was comprised of quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results of quantitative analysis showed that blended learning itself seemed to have significant effects on the leadership capability in general assessment and self assessment. The most viable effects of blended learning in leadership training are said to be actual change of actions and activities in leadership capability of the participants followed by changes in their job tasks contributing to improving the managerial performance of the company, good transfer to current job tasks, and implementation of the practice plans.

  • Recently, not only traditional statistical techniques but also machine learning algorithms have been used to make more accurate bankruptcy predictions. But the insolvency rate of companies dealing with financial institutions is very low, resulting in a data imbalance problem. In particular, since data imbalance negatively affects the performance of artificial intelligence models, it is necessary to first perform the data imbalance process. In additional, as artificial intelligence algorithms are advanced for precise decision-making, regulatory pressure related to securing transparency of Artificial Intelligence models is gradually increasing, such as mandating the installation of explanation functions for Artificial Intelligence models. Therefore, this study aims to present guidelines for eXplainable Artificial Intelligence-based corporate bankruptcy prediction methodology applying SMOTE techniques and LIME algorithms to solve a data imbalance problem and model transparency problem in predicting corporate bankruptcy. The implications of this study are as follows. First, it was confirmed that SMOTE can effectively solve the data imbalance issue, a problem that can be easily overlooked in predicting corporate bankruptcy. Second, through the LIME algorithm, the basis for predicting bankruptcy of the machine learning model was visualized, and derive improvement priorities of financial variables that increase the possibility of bankruptcy of companies. Third, the scope of application of the algorithm in future research was expanded by confirming the possibility of using SMOTE and LIME through case application.

A Study on Designing and Developing a Personalized e-Tutor to Facilitate e-Learning (이러닝 환경에서 학습촉진을 위한 개인화된 e-튜터 설계 및 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study describes the design and development of personalized e-Tutor to facilitate e-Learning. An e-Tutor was developed to provide personalized cognitive, emotional, and social learning supports automatically and integrated into an e-learning system. Fourteen learning supports selected in this study were consisted of eight cognitive, three emotional, and three social factors respectively. Participants were 202 adult learners in corporate training environments. The result indicated that e-Tutor was perceived useful in general. Amongst three, cognitive support was perceived as the most useful. Emotional and social supports of encouraging learners and facilitating interactions among learners were also reported useful to facilitate the desired learning outcomes.

  • Accounting is a practical study as a fundamental of a corporate management. In recent years, the necessity of 'Engineering Accounting' and 'Accounting and Society' for non management and accounting major is on the rise. To accelerate the learning effect of accounting, the individual learning and learning by repetition is required. And ERP practice is on the rise as a new trend. The e-learning will be helpful to the individual learning and learning by repetition. The learner study repeatedly and individually by e-learning, and then practice the accounting process by ERP practice. It's also adoptable for Engineering Accounting to use repeated and individual study using e-learning and ERP practice. This paper is focused on the case study of Engineering Accounting using e-learning and ERP practice in Korea University of Technology and Education. To review this case, the development direction of the accounting education and engineering accounting education will be introduced.

  • 이러닝은 인터넷과 시스템적 특성을 이용하여 사용자들의 정보나 지식획득에 기여하고 있다. 특히 많은 기업들이 구성원들의 역량 강화를 위해 이러닝을 도입하고 있어, 사용자 중심의 설계가 더욱 중요시되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 사용자들이 이러닝에서 학습을 수용하고 채택하는 과정이 시스템의 실제 사용 정도와 관련이 있는 것으로 보고, 기술의 전유(appropriation)로 사용자의 태도와 행동을 예측해보고자 한다. 그리고 기업의 이러닝 도입 활성화를 위해서 요구되는 방안에 대하여 기술사용 관점에서 논의하고자 한다.

  • Recently the information system introduction and the application which use the computer are increasing. The efficient operation of information system helps corporations to improve productivity, customer service and corporate competitive power. SaaS(Software as a Service), which is the developed type of outsourcing in the area of information technology, is to use standardized and packaged application by hosting from the outside of enterprise. SaaS is not developed yet as much as people's interest about that in the initial stage, but its related technology and service capacity are accumulated after repeated trial and error, and it's ready to activate the industry. In the area of information system, studies on the measurement of service quality were followed. But there is little study on service quality measurement in the field of SaaS(Software as a Service). The purpose of this study was to divides the SaaS with e-SERVQUAL and it consider the relationship with the perceived recognition and the usage intention. According to this, variables of traditional research were rejected because SaaS is not developed yet in Korea. But information had a strong effect on perceived recognition. Therefore, business related with in SaaS must have provided a correct information about various applications.

  • Currently many companies and cyber-universities are investing large amount of time and efforts to develop a standard for Web-based learning contents. Among various standards proposed, SCORM(Sharable Content Object Reference Model) has been especially interested regarding web contents and LCMS(Learning Content Management System), In contrast with corporate and adult education, many seem to be skeptical that SCORM could be applied to K-12 education. In the study, opportunities and limitations of the concept for the learning object in 'SCORM' are examined through analyzing relevant studies and cases. In addition, this study examines the learning object in the pedagogical Perspective, and derives suggestions for applying them to K-12 education.

  • One of the major issues in the field of corporate training and formal education is the support of personalized learning. Successful personalized learning needs the availability of the relevant learning contents at just-in-time for learners each. The competency is one of personal characteristics. So competency-based learning is one of the methods that fulfill the above need. Successful competency-based learning needs the method that recommends the relevant contents for the user's deficient competency based on the user's current competency and objectives. We assume that there exists a student information system that provides each user's competences and objectives as fields of a LIP/ePortfolio-compliant student information. This paper proposes an ontology-based system that, given the user's competences and objectives from the above student informaton system, recommends the relevant contents among a large number of educational contents using competency ontology and domain ontology. The advantage of this system can easily handle the change of competency map and terms related with competences in student information and education contents.
