  • This study for Customer Satisfaction(Customer Focus) by Profit security' in the field Process improvement activity and man-power upgrade by DAS(DATA Acquisition System) in the Plant that is fusion Off Line and On Line(IT), Especially the basic of the most foundation in the beginning Step of Toyota system is 3-jeong(a standard instrument; right volume, right box, right position), 5S(Seiri, Seiton, Seisoh, Seiketsu, Sitsuke ; KAISEN, KANBNA System(for Logistic), Further more KPC has established the digital environment such as CIM ; Computer Integrated Manufacturing), IMS ; Intelligent Manufacturing System ERP ; Enterprise Resource Planning, DAS; Data Acquisition System, Autonomous QC & SPC etc,.) in order to realize the intelligent informatization, which is core base for obtaining the competitive power and for responding to the various 21C management environment in flexibility. In this digital management environment, continuously and powerfully they would advance for becoming the best of the world. For strategic changes to take place in industry 3 key important factors need to be included ; Integration of tasks function and process, Decentralization of information, Responsibility, Finally simplification of products and product structures.

UML을 이용한 PDM 시스템 요구사항 분석 (Requirement Analysis Using UML on PDM System Development)

  • The concept of integrated product information has been universalized so that many manufacturing industries have applied the concept to their production system. The field of PDM (Product Data Management), which is one of the core components of the integrated product information, is not an exception. Therefore, various PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software providers are in process of suggesting the PDM solutions. As the PDM solution is widely adopted in the manufacturing industries, the successful application of the solution has been gathering more strength in manipulation of the product information. However, the standardized implementation methodology is stuck in the basic level contrast with the enhanced PDM's functionality and capability. Present study refers to the application of UML (Unified Modeling Language), which is an object oriented modeling description, to PDM system development procedure. The advantage of UML is its efficiency and effectiveness in handling complex requirement often found in PDM implementation works. This paper shows the integration of PDM and UML proposes a philosophy for the support of requirement analysis throughout the full implementation of PDM system.

자유도 제약을 이용한 블록의 완성도 평가 연구 (A Research on Completeness Assessment of Blocks using DOF Restriction)

  • Accurate block shape assessment is critical for ship manufacturing and a careful assessment of the shape of a fabricated block against the design shape is a core issue. However, in current fabrication practice, the shape of each block is evaluated manually using rigid body transformation. This manual evaluation process entirely depends on workers' experiences and knowledge and makes automation of block shape assessment difficult. In this paper we propose a computation method on the registration for shape assessment of a block during the fabrication process and for evaluation of its completion against the design shape. A conversion on matching method by adding DOF(degree of freedom) restriction is required to reach the goals. We test our method using a real block quality assessment data to demonstrate its applicability to real ship manufacturing process.

  • The development of an exclusive 8-axis multi-tasking machine to finish multiple cutting processes by a single piece of power equipment for securing the high-precision machining and high productivity of the series of shafts (a core part of the automotive powertrain that delivers engine power) is needed. The rigidity of the structure must be improved and the weight of the structure must be reduced to develop a multi-tasking machine with high precision and high productivity. In this paper, we perform a static structural analysis of the initial design of the multi-tasking machines and compare the results of the multi-tasking machines improved by the reinforced design and the results of the initial one. According to the results of the structural analysis, the rigidity of the reinforced machine was increased and the overall weight was decreased. Therefore, the productivity was increased.

유리렌즈 성형용 초경합금의 Pt 박막의 특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristics of Pt thin films on WC for glass lens molding)

  • Pt thin films on Cr or Ti interlayer were deposited onto a tungsten carbide(WC) substrate by the ion beam assisted DC magnetron sputtering. The various atomic percent of Cr and Ti underneath of the Pt films were prepared to examine the total thin film characteristics. The microstructure and surface analysis of the specimen were conducted by using the SEM, XRD and AFM. Mechanical properties such as hardness and adhesion strength of Pt thin film also were examined. The interlayer of pure Ti was formed with 40 nm thickness while that of pure Cr was done with 50 nm as standard reference. The growth rate of either Cr or Ti thin film was almost same under the same deposition conditions. The SEM images showed that anisotropic grain of Pt thin films consisting of dense columnar structures irrespectively grew from the different target compositions. The values of hardness and adhesion strength of Cr/Pt thin film coated on a WC substrate were higher than those of Ti/Pt thin film.

자동차 스티어링 휠에 조립되는 플라스틱 베젤의 변형 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Deformation Optimization of a Plastic Bezel Assembled on the Steering Wheel of an Automobiles)

  • In this study, plastics were deformed after molding due to the characteristics of the material. The Taguchi experimental design method was utilized to find the molding conditions that minimized deformation of the plastic bezel to be assembled in an automotive steering wheel. The injection molding conditions applied to the experimental design method are the melt temperature, cavity plate coolant temperature, core plate coolant temperature, and cooling time. Each condition was divided into five levels, and a total of 25 experiments were planned. However, instead of performing 25 actual molding experiments, the injection molding analysis was performed using the Moldflow program, and the deformation values for each molding analysis were obtained. The optimal molding conditions were obtained from these deformation values. The actual injection molding experiment using optimal molding conditions was compared with the deformation amount of the current molded product. The deformation was measured using a precise 3D scanner. The deformation amount of the molded product under optimal molding conditions was 16.1% lower than the deformation amount of the current molded product.

탄소 섬유강화 복합소재의 고압 수지이송 성형공정에서 직선형 믹싱헤드의 성능 및 유용성 평가 (Performance and Feasibility Evaluation of Straight-Type Mixing Head in High-Pressure Resin Transfer Molding Process of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Composite Material)

  • The high-pressure resin transfer molding (HP-RTM) technology has been commercialized for fast production of fiber reinforced composite materials. The high-pressure mixing head was one of the most core component of the HP-RTM process. In this study, a mixing head was systematically designed, manufactured and evaluated. This mixing head was composed of a nozzle, a mixing chamber, a cleaning piston part, and an internal mold release part. In actual, a straight-type structure was newly designed instead of the conventional L-type structure for improving the maximum mixing pressure and mixing ratio precision. The performance of mixing head was showed maximum mixing pressure of 15.22MPa and mixing ratio precision of 0.12%. CFRP molding experiments were successfully obtained a 6~11 laminating carbon sheet using HP-RTM presses and specimen molds.

  • This study is to find subjects for the Automated Container Terminal(ACT) development and container terminal system. Also we analyze the present condition of the container terminal system in Pusan port and its automation level by systems approach. And this paper aims at evaluating on the priority of R&D investment until the beginning of the second stage of New Pusan Port Project(2006). In this process we have considered 8 evaluation indexes(cost, labor, area, time, volume, reliability. safety, convenience) to analyze 6 subsystems. The priority of R&D until target year by sub-systems is as follow: 1. Cargo Handing System, 2. Transfer System, 3. Port Entry System, 4. Storage System (Distribution & Manufacturing System included), 5.Inland Transport System, 6.Port Management & Information System.

  • Software and Systems Product Line(SSPL) is a paradigm that has been developed and applied by European Union(EU) to achieve the productivity and competitiveness of EU industries on the world market. It is not just a simple system or software development methodology, but a sophisticated technology requiring capabilities for a high level of mass customization, platforms, processes and convergence of software and systems. EU has applied SSPL for the five selected industrial sectors including aerospace, automobile, medical equipment, consumer electronics and telecommunication equipment since 1990s and led the way to other industry sectors to stimulate the application of SSPL from 2006. In order for Korea to secure competitiveness in the manufacturing and service industries in the competitive borderless market, it is essential to gain the high level of capabilities for software development and convergence of software and systems. SSPL can be a powerful means to achieve this end. This paper discusses the paradigmatic concept of SSPL, how EU's major industries and companies have secured competitiveness through SSPL, key capabilities that are necessary for successful institutionalization of SSPL in Korea, and finally suggestions on core strategies to materialize the benefits of SSPL for Korea.

볼기어캠의 4-축 가공에 관한 연구 (Study of 4-Axis Machining for Ball Gear Cam)

  • The automatic tool changer of a machining center consists of a tool magazine and a cam box, and the core components of the cam box are a roller gear cam and a turret. Recently, the roller gear cam of a cam box has been replaced by a ball gear cam. In this study, the design and machining method of ball gear cam for an automatic tool changer was studied. Additionally, an algorithm for a 4-axis post processing method was established from an instrumental formula by designing a ball gear cam, thus preventing machining at the bottom of ball end mill and enabling the ball on the turret to be driven at the entrance and exit of a curve without collision due to machining errors. In conclusion, machining using only the 4-axis method including the C-axis on a BC -Type 5-axis machine produced the desired ball gear cam.
