간질을 가진 청소년의 사회 심리적 적응 (Psychosocial Adjustment Process in Adolescents with Epilepsy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the psychosocial adjustment process in adolescents with epilepsy in the context of Korean society and culture. Method: A grounded theory method was used for data collection and analysis. Participants for this study were 9 adolescents who regularly visited an epilepsy clinic in a university hospital. The data was collected through in-depth interviews during the period from November, 2002 to June, 2003. Data collection and analysis were performed simultaneously. Result: Twenty-three categories emerged including 'suffering', 'psychological stigma', and 'social isolation from one's peers'. Categories were divided into paradigms which consisted of conditions, actions/ interactions, and consequences. 'Reconstructing life' was the core category in this study. The theoretical scheme was described by organizing categories around the core category. Conclusion: This study provides a framework for the development of individualized nursing interventions to care for adolescents with epilepsy.

서울시 공공도서관 자료서비스 활성화 방안 (The Plan for Activating Collection Services of Public Library in Seoul Metropolitan)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 도서관 자료서비스의 중요성에 입각하여 서울시 공공도서관의 자료서비스 활성화 방안을 제안하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 시도별 공공도서관의 핵심인프라, 자료서비스 및 프로그램의 이용실적, 그리고 핵심인프라 및 이용실적의 상관관계를 분석하여 서울시 공공도서관 자료서비스의 현주소를 평가하였다. 이러한 분석 및 평가결과를 바탕으로 서울시 공공도서관의 자료서비스를 활성화하기 위한 5가지 방안을 제시하였다. 서울시의 모든 공공도서관은 신착자료의 노출력(가시성)을 극대화하고, 장서기반의 문화(평생학습)프로그램을 제공하며, 도서관 협력시스템을 구축하여 외연을 확대하고, 공동보존서고를 건립하여 상호대차를 강화하며, 대중의 공공도서관 및 장서 인식도를 제고시켜야 한다.

Cryopreservation of Mulberry Germplasm Core Collection and Assessment of Genetic Stability through ISSR Markers

  • A simple and reliable cryo technique using desiccation and slow freezing of winter dormant buds was employed for 238 core collection of mulberry germplasm collected from diverse geographical regions and maintained under tropical conditions in the ex situ field gene bank to develop long-term biodiversity conservation for ensuring sustainable utilization of these valuable resources. Desiccation and freezing tolerance of bud grafts and excised shoot apices in the axillary buds of different Morus species under in vivo and in vitro condition indicated species-specific variation and most of the wild Morus species were found sensitive. In vitro regeneration and cryopreservation($-196^{\circ}C$) protocols using differentiated bud meristem like axillary winter dormant buds were worked out for a wide range of Morus species, land races, wild and cultivated varieties. Successful cryopreservation of mulberry winter dormant buds of different accessions belonging to M. indica, M. alba, M. latifolia, M. cathayana, M. laevigata, M. nigra, M. australis, M. bombycis, M. sinensis, M multicaulis and M. rotundiloba was achieved. Among wild species Morus tiliaefolia, and M. serrata showed moderate recovery after cryopreservation. Survival rates did not alter after three years of cryopreservation of different Morus species. ISSR markers were used to ascertain the genetic stability of cryopreserved mulberry, which showed no difference detected among the plantlets regenerated from frozen apices in comparison to the non-frozen material.

콩 조직배양 기술에 기반한 생명공학 연구 동향 (Status of Molecular Biotechnology Research Based on Tissue Culture of Soybean)

  • 콩은 전세계적으로 재배되는 중요한 작물 중에 하나로 최근, 표준유전체 해독과 함께 유전적, 표현형적으로 다양성을 가진 한국핵심집단이 구축됨에 따라 유전체 기반 분자 육종 연구, 유전자 교정 기술을 활용한 새로운 육종 소재 개발 연구가 가속화될 것으로 예상된다. 유전체 정보 기반 작물의 분자 육종 및 생명공학 연구를 통한 성공적인 작물의 개량을 위해서는 식물의 효율적인 조직배양 기술이 수반되어야 할 것이다. 그러나 반수체 생산, 원형질체 배양 및 형질전환 기술과 같은 콩의 조직배양 효율은 아직까지 높지 않고 일부 계통에 한정되어 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 콩의 분자육종 및 생명공학 기술의 적용을 위하여 다양한 콩 조직배양 기술에 관한 연구 동향을 분석하고 조직배양 효율에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대한 정보를 제공하고자 하였다.

GWAS of Salt Tolerance and Drought Tolerance in Korean Wheat Core Collection

  • Abiotic stress is a major problem in global agriculture as it negatively affects crop growth, yield, and quality. Wheat (Triticum aestivum) is the world's second-highest-producing food resource, so the importance of mitigating damage caused by abiotic stress has been emerging. In this study, we performed GWAS to search for SNPs associated with salt tolerance and drought tolerance. NaCl (200 mM) treatment was performed at the seedling stage using 613 wheat varieties in Korean wheat core collection. Root length, root surface area, root average diameter, and root volume were measured. Drought stress was applied at the seedling stage, and the above phenotypes were measured. GW AS was performed for each phenotype data using the MLM, MLMM, and FarmCPU models. The best salt-tolerant wheat varieties were 'MK2402', 'Gyeongnam Geochang-1985-3698', and 'Milyang 13', showing superior root growth. The significant SNP AX-94704125 (BA00756838) were identified in all models. The genes closely located to the significant SNP were searched within ± 250 kb of the corresponding SNP. A total of 11 genes were identified within the region. NB-ARC involved in the defense response, FKSI involved in cell wall biosynthesis, and putative BP Ml involved in abiotic stress responses were discovered in the 11 genes. The best drought-tolerant wheat varieties were 'PI 534284', 'Moro of Sind', and 'CM92354-33M-0Y-0M-6Y-0B-0BGD', showing superior root growth. This study discovered SNPs associated with salt tolerance in Korean wheat core collection through GWAS. GWAS of drought tolerance is now proceeding, and the GWAS results will be represented on a poster. The SNPs identified by GWAS can be useful for studying molecular mechanisms of salt tolerance and drought tolerance in wheat.

의학도서관 장서관리정책 사례 연구 (A Case Study on Medical Library Collection Management Policies)

  • 우리나라 의학도서관의 경우 과반수 이상이 1인 사서제로 운영되는 영세한 규모의 병원도서관으로 다른 도서관과의 자원협력과 일관성 유지를 위해서라도 장서관리정책 수립의 필요성은 더욱 절실하지만 국내의 경우 장서관리정책을 웹상에 올려놓고 있는 의학도서관은 거의 전무하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내외 의학도서관의 장서관리정책을 사례로 조사하여, 장서관리정책을 준비하는 우리나라 의학 도서관을 위한 기초 자료와 아이디어를 제공하고자 하였다. 핵심요소만 충족이 된다면 장서관리정책은 한 가지 방법만 있는 것이 아니므로 이러한 사례조사는 장서관리정책을 준비하는 의학 도서관에 아이디어를 제공할 것으로 기대한다. 이를 위하여 선행연구를 토대로 선정한 12가지 항목을 사용하여 국내 의학도서관 1곳과 국외 의학도서관 5곳을 사례연구 방법으로 조사 및 내용 분석을 실시하였다. 사례들의 조사 분석을 통해서 12가지 가이드라인을 제시하였다.

A Term Importance-based Approach to Identifying Core Citations in Computational Linguistics Articles

  • Core citation recognition is to identify influential ones among the prior articles that a scholarly article cite. Previous approaches have employed citing-text occurrence information, textual similarities between citing and cited article, etc. This study proposes a term-based approach to core citation recognition, which exploits the importance of individual terms appearing in in-text citation to calculate influence-strength for each cited article. Term importance is computed using various frequency information such as term frequency(tf) in in-text citation, tf in the citing article, inverse sentence frequency in the citing article, inverse document frequency in a collection of articles. Experiments using a previous test set consisting of computational linguistics articles show that the term-based approach performs comparably with the previous approaches. The proposed technique could be easily extended by employing other term units such as n-grams and phrases, or by using new term-importance formulae.

기업의 핵심역량이 IT 아웃소싱 성과에 직접적인 관련이 있을 것인가? (Does the Understanding of Core Competencies Matter to IT Outsourcing Performance?)

  • IT outsourcing providers has been expanded from a single functional system to the entire IT service to gain sustainable competitiveness. This new trend of IT outsourcing need outsourcing management capability based on a firm's core capacity. Hiring external IT service providers to manage part or all of its information-related services helps a firm focus on its core business and provides better services to its clients, thus obtaining sustainable competitive advantage. This research investigates the major factors that determine the level of a particular firm's success at IT outsourcing. Based on process innovation and core-competency theories, we identify three significant components of a firm's IT outsourcing management method (ITOMM): level of core-competency-based management, maturity of outsourced tasks, and maturity of outsourcing management. Comprehensive data collection was conducted through an outsourcing association. The survey data were analyzed using a structural analysis method. Maturity of outsourced tasks and maturity of outsourcing management were found to affect project performance directly, while level of core-competency-based management only indirectly impacted project performance through its positive impact on the other two ITOMM components.
