  • In this work, the secrecy of a typical wireless cooperative dual-hop non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA)-enabled decode-and-forward (DF) relay network is investigated with the impact of collaborative and non-collaborative eavesdropping. The system model consists of a source that broadcasts the multiplexed signal to two NOMA users via a DF relay, and information security against the eavesdropper nodes is provided by a helpful jammer. The performance metric is secrecy rate and ergodic secrecy capacity is approximated analytically. In addition, a differential evolution algorithm-based power allocation scheme is proposed to find the optimal power allocation factors for relay, jammer, and NOMA users by employing different jamming schemes. Furthermore, the secrecy rate analysis is validated at the NOMA users by adopting different jamming schemes such as without jamming (WJ) or conventional relaying, jamming (J), and with control jamming (CJ). Simulation results demonstrate the superiority of CJ over the J and WJ schemes. Finally, the proposed power allocation outperforms the fixed power allocation under all conditions considered in this work.

  • In this paper, we propose a method for diagnosing overload and working load of collaborative robots through performance analysis of machine learning algorithms. To this end, an experiment was conducted to perform pick & place operation while changing the payload weight of a cooperative robot with a payload capacity of 10 kg. In this experiment, motor torque, position, and speed data generated from the robot controller were collected, and as a result of t-test and f-test, different characteristics were found for each weight based on a payload of 10 kg. In addition, to predict overload and working load from the collected data, machine learning algorithms such as Neural Network, Decision Tree, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting models were used for experiments. As a result of the experiment, the neural network with more than 99.6% of explanatory power showed the best performance in prediction and classification. The practical contribution of the proposed study is that it suggests a method to collect data required for analysis from the robot without attaching additional sensors to the collaborative robot and the usefulness of a machine learning algorithm for diagnosing robot overload and working load.

  • With the rapid development of the Chinese water project, the safety monitoring of dams is urgently needed. Many drawbacks exist in dams, such as high monitoring costs, a limited equipment service life, long-term monitoring difficulties. MEMS sensors have the advantages of low cost, high precision, easy installation, and simplicity, so they have broad application prospects in engineering measurements. This paper designs intelligent monitoring based on the collaborative measurement of dual MEMS sensors. The system first determines the endpoint coordinates of the sensor array by the coordinate transformation relationship in the monitoring system and then obtains the dam settlement according to the endpoint coordinates. Next, this paper proposes a dual-MEMS sensor collaborative measurement algorithm that builds a mathematical model of the dual-sensor measurement. The monitoring system realizes mutual compensation between sensor measurement data by calculating the motion constraint matrix between the two sensors. Compared with the single-sensor measurement, the dual-sensor measurement algorithm is more accurate and can improve the reliability of long-term monitoring data. Finally, the experimental results show that the dam subsidence monitoring system proposed in this paper fully meets the engineering monitoring accuracy needs, and the dual-sensor collaborative measurement system is more stable than the single-sensor monitoring system.

  • The purpose of the present study was to investigate how two types of cooperative groupworks will affect learners' academic self-efficacy and English achievement in the first graders of Middle school. Experimental class A was done by similar-level groupwork, experimental class B by differential-level groupwork, and controlled class C by whole classwork. In order to accomplish the goals of the study, questionnaires on learners' academic self-efficacy were examined before and after the experiment. Also English achievement tests were done during the experiment. The analytic results of the questionnaires and English achievement tests were like the following conclusions: First, two types of cooperative groupworks were more effective on improving learners' academic self-efficacy than the whole classwork. Second, two types of cooperative groupworks were more effective on improving two levels' (higher and medium) academic self-efficacy. Third, among three types of classworks, differential-level groupwork was the most effective on improving learners' English achievement. Fourth, in case of medium-level learners, differential-level groupwork was more effective on improving their English achievement than similar-level groupwork.

  • A computer supported cooperative work(CSCW) system is a collaboration system, which enables cooperative works among various participants through the Internet. A collaborative virtual reality environment(CRVE) can be used in scientific research and cultural research because it can provide users with virtual experiences of three dimensional molecular models in cyberspace. However, general CVRE systems are only focused on synchronous collaborations. We propose a remote collaboration system, which provides synchronous and asynchronous cooperation in collaborative virtual reality environment. The proposed system can be applied to bioscience experiments such as molecular docking process, and crystallography simulation. The proposed system is evaluated in performance comparison with previous approaches.

  • Mobile applications and social networks tend to enhance the need for high-quality content access. To address the rapid growing demand for data services in mobile networks, it is necessary to develop efficient content caching and distribution techniques, aiming at significantly reduction of redundant content transmission and thus improve content delivery efficiency. In this article, we develop optimal cooperative content cache and distribution policy, where a geographical cluster model is designed for content retrieval across the collaborative small cell base stations (SBSs) and replacement of cache framework. Furthermore, we divide the SBS storage space into two equal parts: the first is local, the other is global content cache. We propose an algorithm to minimize the content caching delay, transmission cost and backhaul bottleneck at the edge of networks. Simulation results indicates that the proposed neighbor SBSs cooperative caching scheme brings a substantial improvement regarding content availability and cache storage capacity at the edge of networks in comparison with the current conventional cache placement approaches.
