  • This Paper introduces a new design of motorized wheel chair for the disabled, which is intended to improve the quality of the disabled's indoor life. This vehicle was based on high manoeuvrability of the omnidirectional drive and saftey. Usually, the vehicle controlled by a joystick but also the voice control system to be prepared for the severely disabled. This voice control system responds to the result of voice recognition, state of system or warning of dangers with voices, which has real time response and 95.3% recognition ratio and satisfactory synthesis voice Quality Therefore this system is able to provide independency in driving and the disabled's daily life.

  • Well-defined poly(N-vinylcarbazole), poly(NVC), was synthesized by macromolecular design via interchange of the xanthate (MADIX)/reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization in the presence of a suitable xanthate-type chain transfer agent (CTA). Good control of the polymerization was confirmed by the linear first-order kinetic plot, the molecular weight controlled by the monomer/CTA molar ratio, linear increase in the molecular weight with the conversion, and the ability to extend the chains by the second addition of the monomer. Star polymers having various architectures were also synthesized using this technique.

  • Various new active ester monomers based on (meth)acrylates and 4-vinylbenzoic acid have been prepared. Investigation of the controlled radical polymerization behavior of the respective monomers resulted in excellent polymerization control, thus, opening synthetic routes to reactive block copolymers. Polymer analogous reactions with amines yielded functional polymers. In the case of the copolymer poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-acetone oxime acrylate) a lower critical solution temperature could be measured at $52^{\circ}C$. Thus, the reactive copolymer features two characters: reactive AND stimuliresponsive behavior.

  • Monodisperse silica nanospheres were synthesized by Stober method using rotating cylinder systems with batch or continuous manner. The particle size could be controlled by adjusting the reactant compositions such as the amount of monomer, catalyst, and water in the reaction mixture. The size and monodispersity of the ceramic particles could be controlled by changing the reaction medium with different alcohols other than ethanol or changing the reaction temperature. The effect of Taylor number (Ta) on the average diameter and standard deviation of silica particles were also studied by adjusting the rotation speed of inner cylinder, and the maximum diameter of particles was observed at Ta ${\approx}3,000$.

  • Polystyrene beads (PS beads) with narrow size distribution were synthesized, and their diameter was controlled from 1.2 to $5{\mu}m$ by varying the injection rate of a styrene solution containing initiator and the concentration of reactant, such as initiator and capping material. The diameter of the PS beads increased with increasing in the injection rates and the initiator concentration or decreasing the capping material concentration. Then, we used the PS beads as building block, and organized them into a hexagonally close-packed monolayer on substrate with template-assisted manual assembly. We showed perfect hexagonally close-packed organization of the PS beads with various sizes in large-scale area. And we demonstrated the superiority of the dry manual assembly over the wet self-assembly in terms of simplicity, speed, perfect ordering, and large scale.

  • Various structures of particles were prepared by electrospray technique. In this research, solid particles were formed by electrospraying a solution of ethanol containing polyvinyl and tetraethyl orthosilicate. During the electrospray process, the ethanol solvent was evaporated, resulting in the solidification of precursors, forming solid particles. Evaporation of ethanol solvent also enhanced the mass transport which facilitated the development of porous and hollow structures.

  • Molecular weight of polyaniline is controlled in the range of oligomer to low molecular weight by controlling the ratio of aniline dimer (p-aminodiphenylamine) to monomer. Aniline dimers act as nucleation sites in chain growth during the polymerization of aniline. The molecular weights of polyanilines are estimated by GPS and relative viscosity measurement. The physical and chemical properties of polyanilines with various molecular weights are studied by UV-Vis, FT-IR, and electrical conductivity measurements.

  • Monodisperse spherical $SiO_2$ particles of various sizes ($\sim$350 nm and $\sim$800 nm) and size distributions were synthesized from TEOS and MTMS. The particle size and size distribution were controlled by changing the volume ratio of water to ethanol and the reaction temperature. Narrow-sized $SiO_2$ particles with $\sim$3% size distribution were obtained. Self-assembly of the $SiO_2$ particles for photonic crystals were performed by the solvent evaporation method. The number of ordered $SiO_2$ layers can be controlled by changing the amount of the dispersed $SiO_2$ volume fraction in the solvent.

  • We have synthesized disc-like large silver nanomaterials that have nanostructured bumps on the surface using smaller nanoplate seeds. The size and shape of the bumpy nanostructures are rationally controlled by changing the concentrations of nanoplate seeds, silver ion, reductant, and citrate ion. Importantly, the synthetic mechanism of these bumpy nanostructures is remarkably similar to that of the conventional seed-mediated growth based on tiny seeds. We have further investigated the catalytic properties of the bumpy nanostructures for the reduction of 4-nitrophenol, which is associated with a concomitant color change from yellow to colorless.

  • In this study, we investigated the basic properties of N-doped ethylcyclohexene plasma polymer thin films that deposited by radio frequency (13.56 MHz) plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) method with controlled ammonia flow rate. Ethylcyclohexene was used as organic precursor with hydrogen gas as the precursor bubbler gas. Additionally, ammonia ($NH_3$) gas was used as nitrogen dopant. The as-grown polymerized thin films were analyzed using ellipsometry, Fourier-transform infrared [FT-IR] spectroscopy, UV-Visible spectroscopy, and water contact angle measurement. We found that with increasing plasma power, film thickness is gradually increased while optical transmittance is drastically decreased. However, under the same plasma condition, water contact angle is decreased with increasing $NH_3$ flow rate. The FT-IR spectra showed that the N-doped ethylcyclohexene plasma polymer films were completely fragmented and polymerized from ethylcyclohexane.
