다중신속순차제시아래 자극의 명암대비 및 색상이 표적 탐지에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Stimulus Contrast and Color on Target Detection under Multiple Rapid Serial Visual Presentation)

  • 본 연구는 일련의 문자열들 중 하나의 표적을 탐지하는 데 자극 명암대비와 색상이 미치는 영향을 관찰하였다. 실험 1의 각 시행에서는 네 문자로 구성된 RSVP가 제시되고 각 RSVP 화면상의 문자들이 서로 다른 위치를 점유하였다. RSVP 배열 내에서는 한 위치에 회색 표적 문자가, 나머지 위치에 세 방해자극들이 제시된 표적화면을 제외하고 나머지 RSVP 화면에서 네 흰색 방해자극 문자들이 상응하는 위치에 제시되었다. 고가시성 조건에서는 회색 배경화면 보다 표적 회색이 현저히 어두웠던 반면 저가시성 조건에서는 그 밝기 차이가 상대적으로 분명치 않았다. 참가자들은 사전에 지정된 표적들 중 각 시행에서 어느 것이 출현했는지를 가능한 빠르고 정확하게 탐지하도록 요구받았으며 그 결과 관찰된 탐지 수행은 고가시성 조건에서 더 정확했으며 신속했다. 실험 2에서는 고가시성 조건의 회색 표적을 고선명도 유채색 표적으로 대체한 것을 제외하고 실험 1과 동일한 RSVP 화면 및 과제가 사용되었다. 그 결과 참가자들은 고가시성 조건의 표적을 더 정확히 탐지했으나 반응 속도에 있어서는 두 가시성 조건 간 차이가 없었다. 두 실험의 결과는 시각적 부담이 높은 상황일지라도 현저한 명암대비 및 색상이 부여될 경우 자극에 대한 지각이 촉진됨을 시사하며 자극 색상에 비해 명암대비가 지각적 촉진에 더 중요한 역할을 수행할 가능성을 제안한다.

칼라필터 렌즈에 따른 대비감도의 변화 (Change of Contrast Sensitivity Induced by Tinted Spectacle Lens)

  • 목적: 칼라 필터렌즈를 사용하여 대비감도의 변화를 알아보고 임상에 필요한 매뉴얼을 제시하고자 하였다. 방법: 정상 시각을 가진 성인 남녀 20명을 대상으로 황색, 오렌지색, 녹색 필터렌즈를 사용하여 대비감도를 측정했다. 다섯 개의 공간주파수 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 cpd를 사용하였으며 표적의 노출시간은 33 ms, 233 ms로 설정했다. 결과: 대비감도는 전체적으로 표적의 노출시간이 짧은 33 nm보다 233 ms에서 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 순간적인 노출(33 ms)에서 대비감도가 가장 높게 나타난 필터렌즈는 2 cpd에서의 황색(1.75 log unit)이었으나 233 ms에서는 8 cpd에서 필터를 삽입하지 않았을 때(1.85 log unit)가 가장 예민한 것으로 나타났지만 황색, 오렌지색 간 차이는 서로 근소하여 통계적 의미는 없었다(p>0.64). 결론: 색수차와 산란현상을 감소시켜 시기능을 개선시키는 황색 계열의 필터렌즈는 시기능 개선을 위한 다양한 목적으로 처방이 되고 있다. 필터렌즈를 처방하기에 앞서 cut off 파장을 고려한 필터렌즈의 특성을 파악하고 사용자의 특성과 필터렌즈의 사용 목적을 분명하게 확인할 것을 제안하는 바이다.

Effect of the shades of background substructures on the overall color of zirconia-based all-ceramic crowns

  • PURPOSE. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of the color of a background substructure on the overall color of a zirconia-based all-ceramic crown. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Twenty one posterior zirconia crowns were made for twenty subjects. Seven premolar crowns and six molar crowns were cemented onto abutments with metal post and core in the first and second group. In the third group, eight molar crowns were cemented onto abutments with a prefabricated post and composite core build-up. The color measurements of all-ceramic crowns were made before try-in, before and after cementation. A repeated measure ANOVA was used for a statistical analysis of a color change of all-ceramic crowns at ${\alpha}$=.05. Twenty four zirconia specimens, with different core thicknesses (0.4-1 mm) were also prepared to obtain the contrast ratio of zirconia materials after veneering. RESULTS. $L^*$, $a^*$, and $b^*$ values of all-ceramic crowns cemented either on a metal cast post and core or on a prefabricated post did not show significant changes (P>.05). However, the slight color changes of zirconia crowns were detected and represented by ${\Delta}E{^*}_{ab}$ values, ranging from 1.2 to 3.1. The contrast ratios of zirconia specimens were 0.92-0.95 after veneering. CONCLUSION. No significant differences were observed between the $L^*$, $a^*$, and $b^*$ values of zirconia crowns cemented either on a metal cast post and core or a prefabricated post and composite core. However, the color of a background substructure could affect the overall color of posterior zirconia restorations with clinically recommended core thickness according to ${\Delta}E{^*}_{ab}$ values.

20세기 초 까르띠에의 이국적 디자인의 색상 특성 (The color characteristics of Cartier's exotic design in the early 20th century)

  • As the international competitive landscape deepens, the need to understand foreign cultures and establish effective strategies is increasing. At the beginning of the 20th century, Cartier actively developed exotic designs to secure international competitiveness; theses designs have also been used as design prototypes for Cartier in modern times. The purpose of this study is to analyze the color characteristics and types of exotic designs in the early 20th century, which was a turning point in Cartier's design. After studying the literature, a total of 248 exotic designs were presented in Cartier catalogs. This study also selected overseas monographs from the early 20th century, and their design types were classified and color analysis was performed based on the Natural Color System(NCS). Cartier's exotic designs cover wide range of styles, such as Chinese, Japanese, Persian, Indian and Egyptian styles. Multicolor, primary colors, and contrast are all strongly expressed. 97% of designs contained multiple colors, with at least two colors and maximum of six colors. The most frequently used colors are red, green, and blue, which means that only 9% of the designs do not contain the three colors, showing a high preference for theses three colors. In addition, color combinations of red and green, red and blue, or all three colors are used to show high contrast and utilize complementary colors, or near complementary colors, for coloration. This study is meaningful in that it analyzes the color characteristics of Cartier's exotic designs and translates them into practical data for establishing the color strategies of companies in the global market.

앙리 마티스 회화 이미지를 응용한 캐쥬얼 룩 디자인 연구 (A Study on Design for Casual Look Applying Painting Images of Henri Matisse)

  • People have more expectations for arts and design and accordingly, various artworks were combined with fashion to meet the consumer needs. As people live a decent life, the development of leisure activities and industry has a much effect on apparel. With this phenomenon, a free and active casual look is making progress centering around the practical apparel, pursuing diversified efficiency irrespective of a season and considering sensibility not formality. In this study, paintings of Henri Matisse were analyzed in every respect and were applied in apparel design with diverse color arrangement and a motif originating in the phenomenon of modern fashion design which leads to the integration of arts and design. Painting image and color of Henri Matisse were used. Sportive casual and cultural casual was used in design as well. Originality of its color in the paintings which were used an a motif is coming from Gauguin and Gogh. Henri had influenced to the next generation with pursuit of violent color. The following conclusions were drawn from this study. First, the color of Henri Matisse's paintings has a strong contrast effect. It combines notable violent color with a simple yet decorative motif. Therefore color from Matisse's paintings suit for apparel of marked individuality with its free color arrangement. Second, free and active image in Henri Matisse's paintings is easy to express efficiency and popularity. It accords with the feature of casual wear. Third, through adding a flowing curved line in Henri Matisse's paintings to materials and applying various colors putting into a curved line image to a rib section, a decorative effect which goes with the whole shape is obtained. This study presents possibility of emergence of unique design using free color arrangement and motif from the image of paintings and aims development of modern fashion design in accordance with modern fashion giving importance to the difference and sensibility by integration of modern garments and artworks.

광원의 색채 계측에 의한 TV 화상의 색 향상 (The Color Enhancement of TV Picture by the Color Measurement of Illumination)

  • An object color can be seen differently under the various outer illuminants. However, human visual system has color constnacy that the object color can be seen constantly under the different outer illuminants. When the viewer watches TV under specific that the object color can be seen constantly under the different outer illuminants. When the viewer bathes TV under specific outer illuminants, he perceives distortes color due to the emitting specturm of outer illuminants as well as the radiation of CPT itself. Namely, when the outer illuminants such as fluorescent and incandescent lamps incident on CPT, brightness, saturation, hue, itself. In this paper color enhancement algorithm based on light intensity and outer light decision funtion using RGB sensor was proposed. The implemented TV of proposed algorithm has higher visual quality at the view point of human visual system and more vivid than that ofcoventional color TV.

선호도 높은 이미지의 최적 파라미터 범위 연구: 다이내믹 레인지, 컬러, 콘트라스트를 중심으로 (Optimum Parameter Ranges on Highly Preferred Images: Focus on Dynamic Range, Color, and Contrast)

  • 본 연구는 감상자가 선호하는 화질의 파라미터를 정량화하기 위하여 선행 연구를 기반으로 한 물리적인 화질 평가 항목과 인지적 특성을 반영한 화질 평가 항목을 다이내믹 레인지, 컬러, 콘트라스트로 설정하였다. 그리고 이미지 감상자가 선호하는 콘텐츠별 화질의 재현 성능 범위를 구체화하였다. 그 결과 다이내믹 레인지를 의미하는 디지털 존시스템은 인물사진, 야경사진, 풍경사진이 6~10 stop의 범위를 나타냈다. 전체 RGB 평균은 인물사진(67.2~215.2), 야경사진(46~142), 풍경사진(52~185)으로 인물사진이 RGB 컬러 범위가 가장 넓게 나타났으며, 다음으로 풍경사진, 야경사진의 순서대로 나타났다. 전체 콘트라스트의 범위는 인물사진(196~589), 야경사진(131~575), 풍경사진(104~767)으로 나타났다. 특히 인물사진의 경우, 노출의 기준이 되는 피부톤이 ZONE V로 나타났지만 실제로 감상자들이 선호하는 피부톤의 밝기는 ZONE IV에 해당하였다. 또한 인물사진 전체 장면과 메인 피사체의 콘트라스트 비율이 1:1.2를 나타내어 감상자가 아웃포커스 효과를 선호한다고 판단할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 결과를 통하여 일반 감상자들이 선호하는 디지털 이미지의 화질 재현 성능 범위를 수치화시킬 수 있었다. 또한 디지털 카메라의 개발자에게 감상자가 선호하는 실제 다이내믹 레인지, 컬러, 콘트라스트의 구체적인 정보 범위를 제공하여 제품 개발에 반영될 수 있기를 기대한다.

모니터 색상 보정을 위한 색측기 비교 실험에 관한 연구 (Comparative Experimental Study on Color Meter for Monitor Color Correction)

  • The PID control to the monitor color correction was applied. Converted Gamma LUT was applied to the video card. Color and brightness information from the PID controller was used as control inputs. Color and brightness information from a calibrated monitor is measured again. Then, the difference between the preset values for the PID controller was compensated by the feedback. The software measured by color meter was used for color and brightness information. All of the monitor does not measure the color and brightness was measured by sampling. The color and brightness from the monitor were measured not by complete enumeration but by sampling. In the experiment, the original image was displayed on the same monitor as well as two other brands, and then, Gamma and Contrast were measured and compared.

  • A new high contrast LCD structure for TN mode TFT-LCD, of which the contrast ratio is 1.2 times hi gher than that of the conventional one, has been developed. The contrast ratio of TFT-LCD display can be improved by some modified materials, which like as polarizer, liquid crystal, color filter and light enhancement film. In order to know which condition can get the major contribution for the upgrade of the contrast ratio, we used Taguchi method and analyzed the contribution ratio for each composition and succeed to build up the formula of contrast ratio. From this study, we could achieve the highest CR value as 1200:1 of TN mod e TFT-LCD nowadays.
