Motion Vector Coding with Error Robustness Based on Contradiction Testing (에러 강인성을 위한 모순 검증 기반 움직임 벡터 부-복호화)

  • This papers proposes a motion vector coding method which selects the optimal predictive motion vector after excluding some candidate predictive motion vectors in the minimum rate-distortion sense, and prunes the candidate predictive motion vectors by a contradiction testing that operates under a predefined criterion at both encoder and decoder for reducing the signaling information. Experimental results show that the proposed method gains in BDBR by up to 1.8% compared to the H.264/AVC.

  • This paper describes the design and fabrication process of super water-saving toilet bowl system by the theory of inventive problem solving (TRIZ). The physical contradiction in TRIZ is defined to obtain the conceptual design for saving water in toilet bowl system with preventing the bad smell from septic tank. The super water-saving toilet bowl system is obtained by using the separation principle in time for resolving the physical contradiction. The consumption of water in the prototype system fabricated, is estimated about $3{\ell}$ comparing with $13{\ell}$ of that in conventional toilet bowl system. The noise from water in the prototype toilet bowl system is decreased by 1/3 of that in conventional toilet bowl system.

  • In this paper, a detection method of contradiction between input informations is proposed when the inference is processed in rule-based systems. The proposed method is accomplished by improving the label representation and the label management scheme in a conventional ATMS(Assumption-based Truth Maintenance System). The Proposed method also can represent and process input informations having uncertainty values.

  • The TRIZ theory which was invented by Russian scientist Genrich Altshuller provides a systematic methodology for innovative engineering design in place of brainstorming. synectics, analogical thinking, which seeming1y high efficiency are still variations of the trials and errors method. TRIZ theory gives designer the ability to explore design solutions in fields other than his (her) own experience. Among several TRIZ theories, most widely used techniques in engineering field are contradiction theory. Su-Field analysis, physical phenomenon and effect and directed production evolution. which are described in this thesis and its application to conceptual design of high-speed train is performed as a case study of TRIZ theory.

  • This paper represents a study on the development of the conceptual design for the bicycle transmission by TRIZ. At first the problem of the transmission of commercial bicycles was analyzed. The problem was defined as "the variable sprocket pitch diameter with respect to the tension change of chain". The conceptual solutions were derived by Su-Field Model Analysis, IFR(Ideal Final Result), SLP(Smart Little People), and Contradiction Matrix. The here developed sprocket prototype shows the automatic change of sprocket pitch diameter with the tension change of chain.

  • The metal is frequently used in the air-conditioner frame, which must have the durability from the various external environments, but has difficulties in being manufactured for many complex shapes. On the other hand, the plastic, used as a material of injection molding, enables the realization of various shapes and the mass-production of complex ones and leads low production cost. As the air-conditioner frame becomes increasingly complex and detailed, the plastic material is highlighted as an alternative for the frame. But the product molded by plastic with a complex shape might have a noise problem. Therefore this study attempts to design the product through TRIZ in order to reduce the noise of the air-conditioner with the frame of plastic material.

  • The New Culture Movement marked the dawning of a turbulent era in China. By the time of May Fourth Movement, the cultural contradiction and confliction grew into an extensive and enduring social movement extending deep and far-reaching influence on the Chinese society. The huge difference and contradiction existing between the Beijing and Shanghai cultures contributed to the outbreak of this social movement. To be specific, there was an active human and information exchange involving the two leading Chinese cities and at the same time the old and new cultures, thoughts and moralities constantly acted upon each other.

  • This paper preliminary discussed the important function and faced problems of suburb green space during the process of urban development. As well as it points out the contradiction of protection and making use of. In this paper it takes the green space system planning in Wuxi as an example. Through introducing the classification, distribution, arrangement principles, overall arrangement tactics and concrete protective measures of suburb green space in Wuxi, the paper also puts forward the correct disposal principles for the relationship between protection and making use of toward the suburb green space to realize 'both-win' of them.

  • In general, Taek-li-ji is noted for its reliable source in studies on the old korean culture. But when we examine it in detail, we can find its contrary propositions with regard to the context ; for the thematic question of the good place to settle, that is the leitmotiv of Taek-li-ji, opinion, in consideration of the place of good settlement, has the author the conclusion ; nowhere, but by means of "I Ging" can be found a good one - place of no place. In the text, we find some other questionable points. In means that the content of this book must be to make understandable and we need a solution of the contradiction in context. 1 think it might be intended by the author. In this study I have tried, the intention of the author to find and the context to review, in order to interpretate the text and to resolve its contradiction. And I have earned a hidden opinion of the author, the second intention of the book.

  • Recently, product-reliability and process-reliability in product development processes has been regarded as an important issue in many manufacturers. TRIZ which is theory for inventive solving is required to obtain reliability of each process. To solve the technological problems, TRIZ provides problems can be occurred in product development processes as a contradiction matrix based on 40 creative invention principles with alternatives for physical and technological contradiction. This paper suggests the method for inventive solving to ensure the reliability assurance of product development processes based on TRIZ.
