  • This paper proposes a layered protocol to interpret voice commands of the user´s own language to a machine, to control it in real time. The layers consist of speech signal capturing layer, lexical analysis layer, interpretation layer and finally activation layer, where each layer tries to mimic the human counterparts in command following.   • This paper presents a novel circuit configuration for realizing the continuous-time active-only voltage-mode integrator. The proposed integrator consists only of internally compensated type operational amplifier (OA) and operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs). Since no external passive elements are required, the integrator is suitable for integrated circuit implementation in either bipolar or CMOS technologies. Moreover, the integrator gain can be electronically tuned by adjusting the bias currents of the OTAs. The characteristics of the proposed integrator and the effectiveness of the design procedure in realizing various analog transfer functions have been examined by PSPICE simulation.

  • In this paper, a novel optimization algorithm which searches for the local minima of a given cost function is proposed using the familiar property of a binary string, and is applied to the parametric identification of a continuous-time state equation by the estimation of system parameters as well as initial state values. A simple electrical circuit severs as an example, whose precise identification results show the superiority of the proposed algorithm.

  • The continuous time linear quadratic problem (LQP) has been applied to the control of a 8-tray distillation column using the code VASP. The weighting matrices for the state variables and control variables were adjusted iteratively. The simulation results of the optimal control with 2 inputs and 2 outputs showed that the LQP method is very satisfactory for a rapid response and feedback control, and any desired response could be obtained by adjusting the weighting matrices Q under = and R under =. The feedback gain matrix K under = was also determined.

  • To find out the rheological characteristics of several pharamaceutical semisolid products, experiments were carriedout over the temperature range of 20 to 30 .deg.C . From continuous shear rheograms obtained with a Ferranti-Shirley cone and plate viscometer, loop area, shear rates, ryild values, limiting viscosities and activation energies were calculated. The systems were metastable and their viscosity decreased with time. As the temperature was raised, products studied showed a decrease in viscosity and yield value.

  • We have been recognize the adaptation of JIT(Just-in-Time) production system is necessary to improve the constitution of enterprises. But this system is not settled in our industrial environment owing to misunderstanding of JIT concepts and lack of participation all members of the oranization. This paper deals with systematic application of the JIT subsystems such as U-form layout, flexible workforces with multi- functional skilled workers and adjustment of standard operations procedures. And a successful productivity improvement case study of a small and medium sized industry was dealt.

  • This project is designed with the aim to facilitate the farmer or gardener to engage in green house systems and to improve agricultural technology. In order to reduce continuous monitoring of the soil parameters, excess time consumption for the farmers and excessive usage of water, "Smart irrigation and temperature control for a greenhouse system" has been developed. There are two different ways to irrigate the land namely traditional irrigation methods and modern irrigation methods.

  • This paper describes the development of a fuzzy logic control based on PID controller to improve the performances of the control system using conventional PID controller for the cascade process control systems. The structure of the proposed control system consists of two fuzzy-based PID controllers. One is used to eliminate the input disturbances of the inner loop and the other is used to regulate output response of the outer loop. The fuzzy PID design is derived from the linear-time continuous function of the conventional PID controller. The performance of the proposed controller is verified by MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation. Results of simulation studies demonstrates the outstanding of the control system using fuzzy-based PID controller in terms of reduced overshoot and fast response compared with the conventional PID controller.

  • In this paper, S(stochastic)-eigenvalue concept and its S-eigenvector for linear continuous-time systems with probabilistic uncertainties are proposed. The proposed concept is concerned with the perturbation of eigenvalues due to the probabilistic variable parameters in the dynamic model of a plant. S-eigenstructure assignment scheme via the Sylvester equation approach based on the S-eigenvalue concept is also proposed. The proposed design scheme is applied to the longitudinal dynamics of open-loop-unstable aircraft with possible uncertainties in aerodynamic and thrust effects as well as separate dynamic pressure.

  • The purpose of RAM analysis in weapon systems is to reduce life cycle costs, along with improving combat readiness by meeting RAM target value. We analyzed the sensitivity of the RAM analysis parameters to the use of the operating system by using the Markov Process based model (MPS, Markov Process Simulation) developed for RAM analysis. A Markov process-based RAM analysis model was developed to analyze the sensitivity of parameters (MTBF, MTTR and ALDT) to the utility of the 81mm mortar. The time required for the application to reach the steady state is about 15,000H, which is about 2 years, and the sensitivity of the parameter is highest for ALDT. In order to improve combat readiness, there is a need for continuous improvement in ALDT.
