Performance Analysis and Architecture Proposal of IMS based OMA BCAST for 3Screens Service (3Screens 서비스를 위한 IMS 기반 OMA BCAST 구조 제안 및 성능 평가)

  • Since 2000, the demand for multimedia content consumption has been continuously increasing. The research and standardization for the mobile broadcast service has been done to deliver multimedia contents to the huge number of users with the minimum cost. A few commercial services started after the related standards were released. We call this mobile broadcast service the 1st generation service. Now, many experts are researching and developing the technologies for 3Screens(TV, PC, and Mobile) Services that an user can enjoy multimedia contents at every place with the various networks and devices. To enable this service, two main technical areas exist. The first is a core network technology that can support the various access network and the second is a common application layer technology. To resolve these technical areas, we propose IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) based OMA BCAST(Open Mobile Alliance Mobile Broadcast Service Enabler Suite) as the technical solution for 3 Screen Services in the paper. In addition, we propose application layer multicast that is enable to implement IMS based OMA BCAST to the existing network with the minimum cost. Finally, we show how we can save the implementation cost of IMS based OMA BCAST with the simulation results.

Location Factors Determining Hair-style Service Sales (미용서비스업체의 입지요인과 경영성과에 관한 실증연구)

  • This paper aims to examine the location factors affecting small service business performance, especially hair-style service business sales which are assumed to be dependent on outskirts' residents. In contrast to the prior research, this study measures sales amount as business success factors rather than business man's satisfaction level or customers' royalty. The empirical results show that hair-style service business can be determined by visibility and access level of its shop. In addition, its sales can be influenced by hairstyling chair, but its sales per a designer can impacted by hairstyling chair. This study also presents additional examinations about several independent factors which can have influence on hair-style business performance and several location traits that can have an significant influence on its sales volume.

  • As the quality of life increases, the demand for enjoyment of leisure culture is increasing in modem society. This has led to the growth of cultural industries, creating many new cultural industries, and due to its recent engagement with digital technology, the development of digital cultural contents has rapidly expanded. As an integrated art field grafted with high technology, the game industry in particular is fusible with other various fields to create new leisure cultures. Taking these periodic conditions into consideration, this essay has presented a promotion scheme for game culture street based on the characteristics of game culture that make it easy for anyone to access. Game culture material signifies the grafting of cultural game characteristics to the physical platform of street, to provide, not only diverse applications of game culture, but also a market for vitalized game industries. This essay has researched the validity and components of game culture material promotion, along with promotion schemes for physical street.

Multi-Factor Authentication System based on Software Secure Card-on-Matching For Secure Login (안전한 로그인을 위한 소프트 보안카드 기반 다중 인증 시스템)

  • Login process uses both ID and password information to authenticate someone and to permit its access privilege on system. However, an attacker can get those ID and password information by using existing packet sniffing or key logger programs. It cause privacy problem as those information can be used as a hacking and network attack on web server and web e-mail system. Therefore, a more secure and advanced authentication mechanism should be required to enhance the authentication process on existing system. In this paper, we propose a multi-factor authentication process by using software form of secure card system combined with existing ID/Password based login system. Proposed mechanism uses a random number generated from the his/her own handset with biometric information. Therefore, we can provide a one-time password function on web login system to authenticate the user using multi-factor form. Proposed scheme provide enhanced authentication function and security because it is a 'multi-factor authentication mechanism' combined with handset and biometric information on web login system.

  • Prevalence of allergic diseases is influenced by environment and dietary life. It is key to improve daily food life to relieve them. Food nutrition labeling is useful to do it by offering nutrition information. The purpose of the study is to find relationship between experience of diagnosis of allergic diseases and recognition of food nutrition labeling. The data of 4,928 people with experience on diagnosis allergic rhinitis, asthma, atopic dermatitis of 2016 Korea National Health and Nutrition Survey was used. According to the result of binary logistic regression analysis, those who had experience in being diagnosed with an allergy showed high awareness in food labels. There were differences between allergy diagnosis groups and allergy non-diagnosis in affecting factors of residence, income level, subjective health status and body-shape perception. Support measures are needed to enhance access and convenience to nutrition education and nutrition labeling to support nutrition labeling utilization.

  • For the efficient searching and browsing of digital video, it is essential to extract the internal structure of the video contents. As an example, a news video consists of several sections such as politics, economics, sports and others, and also each section consists of individual topics. With this information in hand, users can ore easily access the required video frames. This paper addresses the problem of automatic shot boundary detection and selection of representative frames (R-frames), which are the essential step in recognizing the internal structure of video contents. In the shot boundary detection, a new algorithm that have dual detectors which are designed specifically for the abrupt boundaries (cuts) and gradually changing bounaries respectively is proposed. Compared to the existing 미algorithms that mostly have tried to detect both types by a single mechanism, the proposed algorithm is proved to be more robust and accurate. Also in the problem of R-frame selection, simple mechanical approaches such as selecting one frame every other second have been adopted. However this approach often selects too many R-frames in static short, while drops important frames in dynamic shots. To improve the selection mechanism, a new R-frame selection algorithm that uses motion information extracted from pixel difference is proposed.

  • Recently, the capability of efficient access to the desired video content is of growing importance because more digital video data are available at an increasing rate. A video summary abstracting the gist from the entirety enables the efficient browsing as well as the fast skimming of the video contents. In this paper, we discuss a novel dynamic summarization method based on the detection of highlights which represent semantically significant content and the description scheme (DS) proposed to MPEG-7 aiming to provide summary description. The summary DS proposed to MPEG-7 allows for efficient navigation and browsing to the contents of interest through the functionalities of multi-level highlights, hierarchical browsing and user-customized summarization. In this paper, we also show the validation and the usefulness of the methodology for dynamic summarization and the summary DS in real applications with soccer video sequences.

  • The collaborative filtering has used the nearest neighborhood method based on the preference and the similarity using the Pearson correlation coefficient. Therefore, it does not reflect content of the items and has the problems of the sparsity and scalability as well. the item-based collaborative filtering has been practically used to improve these defects, but it still does not reflect attributes of the item. In this paper, we propose the user and item based collaborative filtering using the classification property and Naive Bayesian to supplement the defects in the existing recommendation system. The proposed method complexity refers to the item similarity based on explicit data and the user similarity based on implicit data for handing the sparse problem. It applies to the Naive Bayesian to the result of reference. Also, it can enhance the accuracy as computation of the item similarity reflects on the correlative rank among the classification property to reflect attributes.

Credibility of e-WOM in Travel Industry, and Its Influence in WOM Effect (온라인 구전 여행정보의 신뢰와 구전효과 연구)

  • Today's wide-spread Internet technology allowed consumers to access much Word-of-Mouth information through an online board. As communication and exchanging information between travelers becomes easier and faster, e-WOM (Electronic Word-of-Mouth) is recognized as one of the most influencing communication methods in today's society. This new trend implies a significant impact to travel industry. This study focuses on interaction between Credibility on e-WOM, brand attitude, WOM acceptance, WOM activity and purchasing intention of travel product. The result of this study suggests: (1) Credibility in e-WOM provides positive effect in brand attitude, (2) Brand Attitude gives positive effect on WOM acceptance, WOM activity and purchasing intention of travel product, (3) WOM acceptance gives positive effect on WOM activity, but it is not effective on purchasing intention of travel product. Regarding e-WOM management of travel agencies through its website or online community, authors would like to argue that travel agencies need to build positive brand attitude based on Credibility in brand, which would lead consumers to positively acknowledge its brand and spread words out to other consumers.

  • In the case of the password-based PKI technology, because it protects by using the password which is easy that user memorizes the private key, he has the problem about the password exposure. In addition, in the system of electronic bidding, the illegal use using the authentic certificate of the others increases. Recently, in order to solve this problem, the research about the PKI technology using the biometrics is actively progressed. If the bio information which the user inputs for the bio authentication is converted to the template, the digest access authentication in which the security is strengthened than the existing authentication technology can be built. Therefore, in this paper, we had designed and developed the system of electronic bidding which it uses the most widely used fingerprint information in the biometrics, it stores the user fingerprint information and certificate in the fingerprint security token and can authenticate the user. In case of using the system of electronic bidding of the public key infrastructure using the fingerprint information proposed in this paper the agent bid problem that it uses the certificate of the others in not only user authentication intensification but also system of electronic bidding can be concluded.
