기공형성제 크기와 함량이 다공질 지르코니아 세라믹스의 가공율과 강도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Template Size and Content on Porosity and Strength of Macroporous Zirconia Ceramics)

  • Using zirconia and poly (methyl methacrylate-coethylene glycol dimethacrylate) (PMMA) microbeads, macroporous zirconia ceramics were fabricated by a simple pressing method. Effects of template size and content on microstructure, porosity, and flexural and compressive strengths were investigated in the processing of the macroporous zirconia ceramics. Three different sizes of microbeads (8, 20, and $50{\mu}m$) were used as a template for fabricating the macroporous ceramics. The porosity increased with increasing the template size at the same template content. The flexural and compressive strengths were primarily influenced by the porosity rather than the template size. However, the strengths increased with decreasing the template size at the same porosity. By controlling the template size and content, it was possible to produce macroporous zirconia ceramics with porosities ranging from 58% to 75%. Typical flexural and compressive strength values at 60% porosity were ${\sim}30\;MPa$ and ${\sim}75\;MPa$, respectively.

  • Porous mullite-bonded SiC (MBSC) ceramics were fabricated at temperatures ranging from 1400 to $1500^{\circ}C$ for 2 h using silicon carbide (SiC), alumina ($Al_2O_3$), strontium oxide (SrO), and poly (methyl methacrylate-coethylene glycol dimethacrylate) (PMMA) microbeads. The effect of template content on porosity, pore morphology, and flexural strength were investigated. The porosity increased with increasing the template content at the same sintering temperature. The flexural strength showed maximum after sintering at $1450^{\circ}C$/2 h for all specimens due to small pores and dense strut. By controlling the template content and sintering temperature, it was possible to produce porous MBSC ceramics with porosities ranging from 30% to 54%. A maximum flexural strength of ~51MPa was obtained at 30% porosity when no template were used and specimens sintered at $1450^{\circ}C$/2 h.

Developing a pediatric nursing simulation scenario template in South Korea: applying real-time Delphi methods

  • Purpose: This study aimed to describe the process of developing a validated pediatric nursing simulation scenario template using the real-time Delphi method. Methods: A panel of 13 pediatric nursing experts participated in a real-time Delphi survey conducted over two rounds. Initially, 83 items were included in the questionnaire focusing on the structure and content of the simulation scenario template. Data analysis involved calculating the content validity ratio (CVR) and the coefficient of variation to assess item validity and stability. Results: Through iterative rounds of the Delphi survey, a consensus was reached among the experts, resulting in the development of a pediatric nursing simulation scenario template comprising 41 items across nine parts. The CVR values ranged from 0.85 to 1.0, indicating a high consensus among experts regarding the inclusion of all items in the template. Conclusion: This study presents a novel approach for developing a pediatric nursing simulation scenario template using real-time Delphi methods. The real-time Delphi method facilitated the development of a comprehensive and scientifically grounded pediatric nursing simulation scenario template. Our template aligns with the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning standards, and provides valuable guidance for educators in designing effective simulation scenarios, contributing to enhanced learning outcomes and better preparation for pediatric clinical practice. However, consideration of cultural and contextual adaptations is necessary, and further research should explore alternative consensus criteria.

Does Cloned Template Text Compromise the Information Integrity of a Paper, and is it a New Form of Text Plagiarism?

  • Word templates exist for select journals, and their primary objective is to facilitate submissions to those journals, thereby optimizing editors' and publishers' time and resources by ensuring that the desired style (e.g., of sections, references, etc.) is followed. However, if multiple unrelated authors use the exact same template, a risk exists that some text might be erroneously cloned if template-based papers are not carefully screened by authors, journal editors or proof copyeditors. Elsevier Procedia® was used as an example. Select cloned text, presumably derived from MS Word templates used for submissions to Elsevier Procedia® journals, was assessed using Science Direct. Typically, in academic publishing, identical text is screened using text similarity software during the submission process, and if detected, may be flagged as plagiarism. After searching for "heading should be left justified, bold, with the first letter capitalized", 44 Elsevier Procedia® papers were found to be positive for vestigial template text. The integrity of the information in these papers has been compromised, so these errors should be corrected with an erratum, or in the case of extensive errors and vast tracts (e.g., pages long) of template text, papers should be retracted and republished.

Dictionary Attack on Functional Transform-Based Cancelable Fingerprint Templates

  • Recently, Ratha and others proposed a cancelable biometrics scheme which transforms an original fingerprint template into a new one using a noninvertible transformation. However, we show that the original template is recovered by a dictionary attack if two transformed templates originating from it are revealed. In our attack, we simulate the transformation and construct a set of possible pre-images for each transformed template. Then, we find the correct pre-image by computing the intersection of these sets. We present an algorithm implementing this idea as well as successful experimental results.

  • Knowledge Management (KM) is a collaborative and integrated approach adopted at various levels to ensure that an organization's knowledge assets are best utilized to increase organizational performance. While KM has been adopted in a large number of sectors and organizations, colleges and universities, and the higher education sector in general, is yet to take full advantage of the possibilities offered by KM. Also, while past research has sought to highlight the importance of implementing KM in higher education, there is a lack of a single, clear template for KM implementation that universities leaders and administrators can adopt. The contribution of the paper is a practical, actionable, step-by-step plan, as well as a diagrammatic, theoretical framework for initiating KM successfully in colleges and universities.

An effective approach to generate Wikipedia infobox of movie domain using semi-structured data

  • Wikipedia infoboxes have emerged as an important structured information source on the web. To compose infobox for an article, considerable amount of manual effort is required from an author. Due to this manual involvement, infobox suffers from inconsistency, data heterogeneity, incompleteness, schema drift etc. Prior works attempted to solve those problems by generating infobox automatically based on the corresponding article text. However, there are many articles in Wikipedia that do not have enough text content to generate infobox. In this paper, we present an automated approach to generate infobox for movie domain of Wikipedia by extracting information from several sources of the web instead of relying on article text only. The proposed methodology has been developed using semantic relations of article content and available semi-structured information of the web. It processes the article text through some classification processes to identify the template from the large pool of template list. Finally, it extracts the information for the corresponding template attributes from web and thus generates infobox. Through a comprehensive experimental evaluation the proposed scheme was demonstrated as an effective and efficient approach to generate Wikipedia infobox.

Magadiite 주형을 이용한 다공성 흑연제조에 미치는 Co와 Ni 촉매 효과 (Effect of Co and Ni Catalyst on the Preparation of Porous Graphite Using Magadiite Template)

  • Porous graphites were synthesized by removing the template in HF after cabothermal conversion for 3 h at $900^{\circ}C$, accompanied by intercalations of pyrolyzed fuel oil (PFO) in the interlayer of Co or Ni loaded magadiite. The X-ray powder diffraction pattern of the porous graphites exhibited 00l reflections corresponding to a basal spacing of 0.7 nm. The particle morphology of the porous graphites was composed of carbon plates intergrown to form spherical nodules resembling rosettes like a magadiite template. TEM shows that the cross section of the porous graphites is composed of layers with very regular spaces. In particular, crystallization of the porous graphite was dependent on the content of Co or Ni loaded in the interlayer. The porous graphite had a surface area of $328-477m^2/g$. This indicates that metals such as Co and Ni act as catalysts that accelerate graphite formation.

Template-Based Reconstruction of Surface Mesh Animation from Point Cloud Animation

  • In this paper, we present a method for reconstructing a surface mesh animation sequence from point cloud animation data. We mainly focus on the articulated body of a subject - the motion of which can be roughly described by its internal skeletal structure. The point cloud data is assumed to be captured independently without any inter-frame correspondence information. Using a template model that resembles the given subject, our basic idea for reconstructing the mesh animation is to deform the template model to fit to the point cloud (on a frame-by-frame basis) while maintaining inter-frame coherence. We first estimate the skeletal motion from the point cloud data. After applying the skeletal motion to the template surface, we refine it to fit to the point cloud data. We demonstrate the viability of the method by applying it to reconstruct a fast dancing motion.

오픈 소스 기반의 이러닝 평가문항 저작 도구를 위한 템플릿 유지 기법 (A method to maintain templates in open source-based authoring tool for e-learning assessment items)

  • 특정 표준에 대한 사전 지식 없이 콘텐트를 저작할 수 있는 템플릿 기반의 이러닝 저작 도구가 활발히 개발되고 있다. 그러나 일반적인 웹 기반 HTML 저작도구에서 템플릿을 사용하기 위해서는 중요한 극복 사항이 있다. 콘텐트 내부에 템플릿이 삽입 되거나, 이를 편집 과정 중에 사용자의 의도치 않은 입력으로 템플릿 구조가 변형이 될 수 있다. 이것은 제한된 스키마를 준수해야하는 표준 콘텐트 저작에 있어서 큰 위험 요소가 된다. 본 논문은 위지윅 기반의 HTML 저작 도구에 삽입되는 템플릿 자원을 사용자가 임의로 변형하는 것을 막을 수 있는 효과적인 유지 기법을 제안한다. 우리는 웹 기반 오픈 소스에디터인 tinyMCE에 IMS-QTI 표준 문항을 생성할 수 있는 템플릿 플러그인을 추가하였다. 그리고 사용자의 의도치 않은 입력 행위에 대응하여 템플릿의 구조가 지속적으로 유지 가능하게 하는 tinyMCE용 플러그인 모듈을 구현하였다. 제안하는 기법은 tinyMCE 이외에도 다양한 오픈 소스 기반의 편집 도구에 적용 가능하다는 장점이 있다.
