부산항 컨테이너 물동량을 이용한 시계열 및 딥러닝 예측연구 (Time series and deep learning prediction study Using container Throughput at Busan Port)

  • 최근에는 딥러닝과 빅데이터를 기반으로 한 수요예측 기술이 전자상거래, 물류, 유통 분야의 스마트화를 가속화하고 있다. 특히, 글로벌 운송 네트워크와 현대적인 지능형 물류의 중심인 항만은 4차 산업혁명으로 인한 세계 경제 및 항만 환경의 변화에 발 빠르게 대응하고 있습니다. 항만물동량 예측은 신항만 건설, 항만확장, 터미널 운영 등 다양한 분야에서 중요한 영향을 담당하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 항만 물동량 예측에 자주 쓰이는 시계열 분석과 타 산업에서 좋은 결과를 도출해내고 있는 딥러닝 분석을 비교하여 부산항의 미래 컨테이너 예측에 적합한 예측모델을 제시하는 것이다. 부산항 컨테이너 물동량을 이용하여 학습시키고 그 이후 물동량 예측을 진행하였다. 또한, 상관관계 분석을 통해 물동량 변화와 관련된 외부변수를 선정하여 다변량 딥러닝 예측모델에 적용하였다. 그 결과 부산항 컨테이너 물동량만 이용한 단일변수 예측모델에서 LSTM의 오차가 가장 낮았고, 외부변수를 이용한 다변수 예측모델에서도 LSTM의 성능이 가장 우수하였다.

Effects of Vibration Stress on the Quality of Packaged Apples during Simulated Transport

  • Purpose: The characteristics of in-transit vibration stress and possible damage to packaged apples were examined. Methods: A simulated transportation environment with a specific power density profile was used for vibration impact experiments to determine the resulting decrease in packaged apple quality. Apples with or without vibration stress were stored at low temperature ($5{\pm}0.8^{\circ}C$, 75-85% relative humidity) for 30 days. Statistically significant differences (p ${\leq}$ 0.05) were found between apples with and without vibration stress for concentration of oxygen ($O_2$; 11.2% and 14.1%, respectively; initially $29{\pm}0.4%$), carbon dioxide ($CO_2$; 26.4% and 21.8%; initially $1{\pm}0.2%$), and ethylene (79.4 ${\mu}LL^{-1}$ and 55.6 ${\mu}LL^{-1}$; initially $14.1{\pm}0.6{\mu}LL^{-1}$) in the headspace of a gas-collecting container after 30 days of storage. Results: Significant differences were also measured for apples with and without vibration stress with respect to soluble solid content (15.4% and 14.9%, respectively; initially $12.9{\pm}0.8%$ and $13.1{\pm}1.1%$), weight loss (10.1% and 8.2%), and firmness (139.7 kPa and 163.3 kPa; initially $213.8{\pm}6.2$ kPa and $209.1{\pm}7.9$ kPa) after 30 days of storage. Conclusions: The vibration stress clearly accelerated the degradation of apple quality during storage, resulting in increased weight loss, soluble solid content, and headspace $CO_2$ and ethylene production, and decreased firmness and headspace $O_2$.

택배용 포장시스템이 적용된 과실의 공진특성 (Resonance Characteristics of Fruits in Packaging System for Parcel Delivery Service)

  • Fruit and vegetables are subjected to complex dynamic stresses in the transportation environment. During a long journey from the production area to customers using parcel delivery service, there is always some degree of vibration present. Vibration inputs are transmitted from the vehicle through the packaging to the fruit. Inside, these cause sustained bouncing of fruits against each other and container wall. These steady state vibration input may cause serous fruit injury, and this damage is particularly severe whenever the fruit inside the package is free to bounce, and is vibrated at its resonance frequency. The determination of the resonance frequencies of the fruit and vegetables may help the packaging designer to determine the proper packaging system providing adequate protection for the fruit, and to understand the complex interaction between the components of fruit when they relate to expected transportation vibration inputs. Instrumentation and technologies are described for determining the vibration response characteristics of the fruits with frequency range 3 to 150 Hz. The resonance frequency of the pear ranged from 53 to 102 Hz and the amplitude at resonance was between 1.08 and 2.48 G. The resonance frequency and amplitude at resonance decreased with the increase of the sample mass, and they were slightly affected by mechanical properties such as bioyield deformation and rupture deformation. Regression analysis was performed among the relatively high correlated parameters from the results of correlation coefficient analysis.

The determination of the resonance frequencies of the fruits and vegetables may help the packaging designer to determine the proper packaging system providing adequate protection for the fruits, and to understand the complex interaction between the components of the fruits when they relate to expected transportation vibration inputs. To analyze the vibration properties of the apples for optimum packaging design during transportation, random vibration tests were carried out. In the random vibration test, the resonance frequency and PSD of the packaged freight of apples in the test were in the range of 82 to 97 Hz and 0.0013 to $0.0021G^2/Hz$ respectively and the resonance frequency and PSD of the packaged apples in the test were in the range of 13 to 71 Hz and 0.0143 to $0.0923G^2/Hz$.

허브공항의 환승연계성 분석연구(인천국제공항을 대상으로) (An Analysis for Transferring Connectivity at Incheon international Airport)

  • 인천국제공항이 개항 5주년을 맞이하는 시점에서 허브공항으로서 충분한 요건을 갖추었는지 그리고 공항의 환승에 대한 연계성이 다른 허브공항과 비교하였을 때 어느 정도의 수준에 있는지를 평가 및 분석하기 위한 목적으로 본 연구를 수행하였다. 환승연계성을 분석하기 위하여 2가지 방법을 사용하였다. 첫 번째 적용한 방법으로는 웨이브(wave) 구조로서. 항공스케줄과 관련하여 도착과 출발에 따른 시간적 집중도를 분석하여 환승연계성을 측정하는 것으로서 허브공항으로서의 특징, 즉 공간적인 측면과 시간적인 측면 중 시간적인 측면을 분석하는 데 유용하다. 두 번째로는 시간에 관한 부분으로서 최소연결시간과 최대연결시간에 대하여 대한항공의 자료를 활용하여 실증 분석하였다.

Instrumentation and technologies are described for determining the vibration response characteristics of the pears for exporting with frequency range from 10 to 200 Hz, sweep rate of 1 octave/min, sweep method of logarithmic up and down and acceleration levels of 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 G considering the domestic transportation environment. The resonance frequency of the pears ranged from 49.04 to 87.16 Hz and the amplitude at resonance was between 0.96 and 4.02 G in test frequency band and acceleration level. The resonance frequency and amplitude at resonance frequency band of the pears decreased with the increase of the sample mass. The multiple nonlinear regression equations for predicting the resonance frequency of the pears were developed using the independent variables such as mass, input acceleration.

국내 유통 수박의 적정 포장설계를 위한 진동특성 분석 (Analysis for Vibration Characteristics of the Watermelon for Optimum Packaging Design in Domestic Distribution)

The resonance frequency of the watermelon ranged from 19 to 32 Hz and the amplitude at resonance was between 1.6 and 2.9 G. The resonance frequency and amplitude at resonance frequency band of the watermelon decreased with the increase of the sample mass. The multiple nonlinear regression equation for predicting the resonance frequency of the watermelon were developed using the independent variables such as mass, input acceleration and sphericity.

SP 조사기법을 이용한 화물별 DMT(Dual Mode Trailer) 효용함수 추정 (Estimation of the DMT Utility Function Using SP Survey)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 SP 조사를 통해 화물별 DMT 효용함수 추정에 목적을 두고 있다. 추정된 효용함수는 화물별 OD 자료를 바탕으로 DMT 수요예측에 기초자료로 이용될 수 있다. 설문조사에서는 컨테이너와 위험물을 다루고 있는 업체와 철강운송 업체 중 연안 해운을 하고 있지 않은 운송업체를 대상으로 철도운송, 도로운송, DMT, 이렇게 세 가지의 선택대안을 사용하였다. 선택상황은 품목별/운송방향별로 가상 상황을 설정하였고 선정한 주요 화물품목은 컨테이너, 철강, 위험물이다. 또한 각각의 화물품목들에 대한 운송거리별 운송수단 선택모형은 통계적으로 다르지 않은 것으로 분석되었기 때문에 거리별(장거리, 중거리, 단거리)로 모형을 구축하지 않고 가장 물동량이 많은 장거 리(300km 이상)의 경우에 한해 화물별로 모형구축을 시도하였다. 사용할 속성변수로는 운송시간, 운송비용 그리고 신뢰성을 선정하였다. 수준 수는 일반적으로 가장 많이 사용되는 3수준으로 정하였으며 수준 값은 기준 값을 중심으로 +10%와 -20%로 정하였다.

Towards attaining efficient management of berth maintenance in Saudi Arabian Industrial Ports

  • Despite the significance of ports as critical economic infrastructure, the berth facilities usually deteriorate due to heavy loading, unloading, aging, environmental weather conditions, marine growths, and lack of efficient maintenance management. Marine berths require proactive maintenance management to limit deterioration and defects as no berth facility is maintenance-free. Thus, delay in carrying out maintenance work for the marine berths can be devastating to the operational process involving ship entry, loading, and unloading operations. The aim of this research is to coordinate both operations work, and maintenance works that take place inside the berth of a local industrial port in Saudi Arabia, by developing a novel framework that integrates both works without affecting the efficiency and functionality of the berth. The study focused on defining the operational process of the port and identifying the elements with direct and indirect effects. In addition to determining the priority for the entry of ships inside the berth, it also identified the factors involved in designing a framework that included maintenance work as a component of the monthly berth occupancy schedule. By applying a mathematical model, a framework was established, which includes all the important elements of the process. As a result of the mathematical method formulation process, a database was designed that organizes and coordinates the operations of all berths within the port. This creates time to carry out the required maintenance work monthly as well as ease of coordination with the contractors responsible for the implementation of those works.

트랜섬 선미 후방의 점성 유동장 Topology 관찰 (Topological View of Viscous Flow behind Transom Stern)

  • Viscous flows behind transom stern are analyzed based on CFD simulation results. Stern wave pattern is often complicated due to the abrupt change of stern surface curvature and flow separation at transom. When a ship advances at high speed, whole transom stern is exposed out of water, resulting in the so-called 'dry transom'. However, in the moderate speed regime, stern wave development in conjunction of flow separation makes unstable wavy surface partially covering transom surface, i.e., the so-called 'wetted transom'. Transom wave formation is usually affecting the resistance characteristics of a ship, since the pressure contribution on transom surface as well as the wave-making resistance is changed. Flow modeling for 'wetted transom' is difficult, while the 'dry transom modeling' is often applied for the high-speed vessels. In the present study CFD results from the RANS equation solver using a finite volume method with level-set treatment are utilized to assess the topology of transom flow pattern for a destroyer model (DTMB5415) and a container ship (KCS). It is found that transom flow patterns are quite different for the two ships, in conformity to the shape of submerged transom. Furthermore, the existence of free surface seems to after the flow topology in case of KCS.
