  • This paper deals with the pre-marshalling problem that the containers of container yard at container terminal are relocated in consensus sequence of loading schedule of container vessel. This problem is essential to improvement of competitive power of terminal. This problem has to relocate the all of containers in a bay with minimum number of movement. There are various algorithms such as metaheuristic as genetic algorithm and heuristic algorithm in order to find the solution of this problem. Nevertheless, there is no unique general algorithm that is suitable for various many data. And the main drawback of metaheuristic methods are not the solution finding rule but can be find the approximated solution with many random trials and by coincidence. This paper can be obtain the solution with O(m) time complexity that this problem deals with bin packing problem for m stack bins with descending order of take out ranking. For various experimental data, the proposed algorithm can be obtain the optimal solutions for all of data. And to conclude, this algorithm can be show that most simple and general algorithm with simple optimal solution finding rule.

  • The required storage inventory is a very important decision variable which determines the storage capacity of a container terminal. Generally, the required storage inventory is dependent upon such factors as ship headway, allowable dwell time of containers, loading/unloading time per ship, and so on. Until now, the required storage inventory is estimated under the assumption that the factors are deterministic in several studies. However, this study proposes how to estimate a required storage inventory satisfying the required service level under the assumption that a containership's load size is probabilistic. Numerical experiments, which use a simulation show that the proposed method can estimate more adequately the maximum storage inventory than other methods under a probabilistic environment.

  • The size of container ships is increasing to increase the cargo loading capacity. However, container ships are limited in terms of the hull longitudinal strength. To overcome this limitation, brittle crack arrest steel can be used. This study was aimed at examining the influence of the heat input on the welding procedures of flux cored arc welding and submerged arc welding. In the experiment, the crack tip opening displacement test, which pertains to a parameter of fracture mechanics, was performed, and a 3-point bending tester was adopted. Based on the results, the crack measurement method was presented, and the stress expansion coefficient value for the pre-fatigue crack length was derived according to the heat input after the pre-cracking length was measured. It was noted that the heat input affected the crack tip opening displacement of brittle crack arrest steel.

  • The issues were studied of an open-source scaling drone imagery platform, called WebODM. It is known that processing drone images has a high demand for resources because of many preprocessing and post-processing steps involved in image loading, orthophoto, georeferencing, texturing, meshing, and other procedures. By default, WebODM allocates one node for processing. We explored methods to expand the platform's capability to handle many processing requests, which should be beneficial to platform designers. Our primary objective was to enhance WebODM's performance to support concurrent users through the use of container technology. We modified the original process to scale the task vertically and horizontally utilizing the Kubernetes cluster. The effectiveness of the scaling approaches enabled handling more concurrent users. The response time per active thread and the number of responses per second were measured. Compared to the original WebODM, our modified version sometimes had a longer response time by 1.9%. Nonetheless, the processing throughput was improved by up to 101% over the original WebODM's with some differences in the drone image processing results. Finally, we discussed the integration with the infrastructure as code to automate the scaling is discussed.

  • This Study is a structure analysis about twin lift telescopic Spreader that usually loading and unloading a container in harbor. Applied load is assumed by lifting 65tons that is the maximum weight of real container. The finite element analysis for 3D model is performed by ABAQUS/Standard. We made an estimate of safety by evaluating the results of the finite element analysis.

  • Sterile Products may be broadly classified into two main categories, according to the manner in which they are produced: those which are sterilized after the product has been filled and sealed in the final container(s) ("terminally sterilized" products) and those where the sterilization stage (or stages) takes place is it before or after the bulk product filled in to final container. In this latter instance, all subsequent processing (typically, the filling and sealing operations) must be conducted aseptically in order to prevent recontamination of the sterilized product. The two most common pharmaceutical applications of aseptic processing methods are (a) the filling of liquid products following sterilization by filtration and (b) the filling of previously sterilized bulk powder products. An aseptic processing operation should be tested using a microbiological growth medium (media fill) during lyophilized injection formulation, filling, loading, lyophilisation, stoppering, and unloading activities.

  • If the research on double cycle is revitalized, crane productivity will be rapidly improved bemuse double cycle is an operational technique that can maximize equipments efficiency (Quay crane, RMG/RTG, Yard tractor). Unfortunately, it is very difficult for terminal operators to find out the starting point of double cycle bemuse the loading & unloading pattern and conditions are various. Therefore, terminal operators are apt to fail to find out the optimal starting point of double cycle to maximize its frequency. Experiencing the same mistakes in the process we made efforts to find out the optimal starting point, finally we found out the formula for it. And we verified its precision is perfect through a lot of testing. This paper on double cycling focused on making the formula to find out optimal starting point of double cycle to maximize its frequency. And it can be applied to various ships' stowages in common.

  • Recently, intermodal transportation systems are significantly considered as enhanced technique or future railroad logistics. These are aimed for particularly reducing complicated job process in the railroad based transportation and relevant logistic cost in economic viewpoint. In this paper we suggest a horizontal transfer system using hydro-motor and hydro-cylinder for intermodal transportation system. This system can assist to transfer the containers horizontally for train logistics automations.

  • In this paper, an improved high efficiency gantry crane for container transportation is designed. The basic concept of the designed crane can be used with modification of the classical gantry crane instead of changing lots of them. This crane can reduce the cycle time more than the classical gantry carne. The high efficiency gantry crane can improve the productivity of the container transportation job because of reducing cycle time. The loading and unloading capability are compared with classical crane. The result show that show that the proposed crane has better performances than classical type.

  • Process sequence design in sheet metal forming process by the finite element method is investigated. The forming of sheet metal into a washing machine container is used to demonstrate the design of an improved process sequence which has fewer operations. The design procedure makes extensive use of the finite element method which has simulation capabilities of elastic-plastic modeling. A one-stage process to make an initial blank to the final product is simulated to obtain information on metal flow requirements. Loading simulation for a conventional method is also performed to evaluate the design criteria which are uniform thickness distribution around the finished part and maximum punch load within limit of available press capacity. The newly designed sequence has two forming operations and can achieve net-shape manufacturing, while the conventional process sequence has three forming operations. This specific case conventional process sequence has three forming operations. This specific case can be considered for application of the method and for development of the sequence design methodology in general.
