A Study on Consumer's Channel Transition Behavior in the Information Search and Purchase Channel (정보탐색과 구매결정에 있어서 채널이동 소비자들에 대한 연구)

  • This study investigates differences in demographic characteristics, shopping orientation, perceived risk, and satisfaction after purchase among consumer types. This study classifies consumer types according to their channel transition behaviors between the online and offline channels with a focus on the steps of information research and buying decision in buying decision-making process. The four consumer groups are as follows: off-off type (offline research-offline purchase), on-on type (online research-online purchase), on-off type (online research-offline purchase) and on/off-off type (online and offline research-offline purchase), off-on type (offline research-online purchase) and on/off-on type (online and offline research-online purchase). Data were collected from adults over 20 years old who had bought clothes within one year. The questionnaire was carried out from July, 2019 using a professional internet research panel; in addition, 500 sets of useful data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, chi-squared test, ANOVA and Duncan-test using SPSS 21.0. The findings showed significant differences among the classified consumer groups for consumer demographics, shopping orientation, perceived risk, and purchase after satisfaction. The results imply that consumers show a variety of channel transition behaviors based on demographic variables, shopping orientation, and perceived risk. Understanding and adapting to consumer purchase behaviors will allow company distribution channels to be effectively managed and eventually increase consumer satisfaction as well as company sales volume.

The Relationship between Shopping Value and Clothing Shopping Orientation according to Clothing Involvement (의복관여도에 따른 쇼핑가치와 의복쇼핑성향의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between shopping value and clothing shopping orientation according to clothing involvement. The study subjdects comprised 298 females living in Seoul. The data were analyzed with factor analysis, correlation, t-test, cluster analysis and regression analysis. Clothing involvement, shopping value and clothing shopping orientation consisted of various factors. Clothing involvement influenced various shopping values and orientations. According to three clothing involvement factors, women were classified into two clusters(: high and low involvement groups). In the two groups, there was an intimate relationship between shopping value and shopping orientation, while there were significant differences in shopping value, clothing shopping orientation, and clothing purchasing behavior. In addition, shopping value have influenced shopping orientations and clothing purchasing behavior, while shopping orientations influenced clothing purchasing behavior. As a result, the successful marketer should know the consumer's clothing involvement and shopping value as well as clothing shopping orientation.

Images of Hanji-Bedclothes According to Bedclothes Shopping Orientation (침구 쇼핑성향에 따른 한지 침구류 이미지 평가에 관한 연구)

  • This study examines shopping orientation regarding bedclothes and the effect of the segmentation of consumers on the image of Hanji yarn bedclothes derived from mulberry fiber in order to contribute to the development of Hanji bedclothes products and consumer marketing segmentation. Data from 294 questionnaires filled out by female consumers in their 30s to 50s were used for statistical analysis. The shopping orientations for bedclothes are classified into six groups (trend oriented, material oriented, price oriented, convenience oriented, individuality oriented, and assurance oriented). Consumers were subdivided into four consumer segments (show-offish, self-confident, reasonable, and unconcerned case) based on shopping orientations for bedclothes. The images of Hanji bedclothes are categorized into four types (classic, practical, aesthetic, and natural) as related to the shopping orientations of consumers. In terms of consumer segmentation, the 'reasonable' segment is more likely to consider the 'classic' image of Hanji bedclothes as the highest image value; however, the 'show-offish' segment provides the highest value to the 'practical' image as compared to other segments.

Effects of Consumer's Characteristics on Trust and Purchase Intention of On-line Shopping Mall -Focusing on Chinese Users of Internet Shopping Mall- (소비자 특성이 온라인 쇼핑몰에 대한 신뢰와 구매의도에 미치는 영향 -중국 인터넷쇼핑몰 사용자를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Chinese consumer characteristics as internal inclination on the trust and purchase intention of on-line shopping mall. Two hundred sixty subjects, who were living in Shanghai, China and were university students, were randomly selected for questionnaire. The effective two hundred forty four questionnaires were used to conduct reliability tests for internal consistency and multiple regressions for relationship between independent and dependent variables with SPSS 10.0. The results from this study were as follows. It showed a significant relationship between the on-line shopping experience, consumer innovation, consumer risk and the trust of on-line shopping mall, however, it didn't show any significant relationship between convenience shopping orientation and the trust of on-line shopping mall. Also, It showed a significant relationship between the on-line shopping experience, consumer innovation and the distrust of on-line shopping mall, however, it didn't show any significant relationship between consumer risk, convenience shopping orientation and the distrust of on-line shopping mall. It showed a significant relationship between purchase intension, the consumer risk and on-line shopping experience which appeared a high trust in on-line shopping mall, however, it didn't show any significant relationship between purchase intension and consumer innovation which appeared a high distrust. Therefore, it could be concluded that in China it is decreasing to purchase through the internet shopping mall every year because the group of consumer innovation, which most of internet users in China belong to it, distrusts the internet shopping mall.

  • The on-line market is sudden and it tilts the effort which various in order to reveal the difference point against the on-line consumer and the off-line consumer from under the environment which grows is. What reveals the on-line consumer and the difference point of off-line consumer two group from like this situation is a possibility of decreasing the place help which establishes a marketing strategy in the each retail trade sleeping field. The research which it sees to sleep it searched for the variable which shows the difference point of shopping orientation of the on-line consumer and off-line consumer two group and it attempted. From the research which it sees shopping propensity shopping it is joyful, it perceives dangerously, with price ceremony and convenient characteristic to classify, it analyzed. Analysis result shopping it is joyful it was rejected, classifies the perception against a danger and a price ceremony and convenient Royal favor two group with the consider variable which it appeared. The namely on-line consumer perceived against a danger lowly, it was sensitive to a price, it appeared with the fact that it pursues a convenient characteristic.

A Study on Clothing Shopping Orientation and Cloghin Buying Behavior of female workers (직장여성의 쇼핑성향과 의복구매특성에 관한 연구 - 전라남도 여교사를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the demographics and general clothing buying behavior according to clothing shopping orientation of female workers. A questionnaire was developed to measure clothing shopping orientation, fashion information sources, stores selection criteria, clothing purchasing frequency of a year, purchasing expenditure of clothing, the demographics. The questionnaire was administered to 775 female teacher in Chonnam. The data was analyzed using percentage, frequency, mean, factor analysis, Cluster Analysis, $\chi^2$-_test and ANOVA, Duncan test. The results of the study were as follows: 1. The female teachers were classified into four groups by the cluster analysis; indifferent shopping group, rational shopping group, conspicuous shopping group, recreational shopping group. 2. In the case of fashion information sources, significant differences were found according to shopping orientation subdivision in mass media information, information by consumer, information by marketer. 3. The stores selection criteria were significantly different depending on shopping orientation subdivision in goods and atmosphere of shop, promotion, convenience of shop's location. 4. The clothing purchasing frequency of a year were significantly different depending on shopping orientation subdivision. 5. The significant differences were found according to shopping orientation subdivision in purchasing expenditure of clothing. 7. In the demographic characteristics, significant differences were found according to shopping orientation subdivision in age, marriage, the length of one's work, income.

Consumer's Shopping Orientation and Buying Behavior According to the On/Offline Browsing (온/오프라인 브라우징에 따른 소비자 집단의 쇼핑성향과 구매행동 연구)

  • This study grouped on/offline browsing consumer types according to on/offline browsing consumer behavior and investigated the differences in shopping orientation, impulse buying, and fashion goods expenditure ratio in on/offline markets based on on/offline browsing types. Data were obtained from 379 consumers aged 10 to 40 in Daejeon Korea. The data were analyzed using factor analysis, cluster analysis and ANOVA. The result were as following. First, respondents were classified into four group by on/offline browsing behavior (high offline browsing group, low on/offline browsing group, high on/offline browsing group, and high online browsing group). Second, there were significant differences among groups in the shopping orientation (except for efficient shopping orientation). Third, groups showed differences in impulse buying and fashion goods expenditure ratio in on/offline markets. This information will benefit marketers in the use of multichannel consumer strategies.

The Relationship between Shopping Value and Shopping Orientation on Purchase Intention at International Shopping Spot

  • Purpose - This study examines the relationship between the global consumer's shopping value and the intent to purchase in many of today's emerging international malls. furthermore, the orientation of shopping will be examined to see if there is a significant mediating effect between the value of shopping and willingness to purchase in international shopping malls. Design/methodology - This study conducted a survey of Chinese travelers who had experience in visiting a shopping mall during their visit to Korea through an online panel research agency and received a total of 230 responses. To confirm the relationship with constructs, the structural equation model (SEM) was used to test hypothesis in this research. Findings - The study was to examine the relationship of the international consumers' shopping value to the purchase intention in shopping mall when they visit to other countries, and to find if there was any effect on the relationship between the shopping value of the shopping orientation and the willingness of the international shopping mall. Originality/value - By confirming the relationship between international consumers' shopping value and shopping orientation, this study proposed the theoretical implications for global consumers' shopping behavior. In addition, this result can affect the development of service programs for foreign consumers.

The classification of super app consumer for marketplace strategy - Focusing on the shopping orientations - (Super app marketplace 전략을 위한 소비자 유형화 - 쇼핑 성향을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aimed to categorize consumers using super app functional characteristics to identify demographic differences, and analyze shopping orientations by consumer type. This data can be used by fashion and beauty companies for product planning and marketing strategies. To categorize super app consumers, data were analyzed with SPSS v.26.0 software using frequency, factor, reliability K-mean cluster, and distributed analyses, one-way-ANOVAs, and Scheffe verification. Cross-analysis was conducted to correlate super app consumer types with demographic characteristics. One-way-ANOVAs and Scheffe verification were used to analyze the differences in shopping preferences between super app consumer groups. As a result of our analyses, super app consumers were classified into four types: the ration type, the low-use type, the multifunction type, and the habit type. There were statistically significant differences between these types in age, occupation, marital status, average monthly household income, and shopping impact factors. Five super app user shopping orientations were identified: brand pursuit, pleasure pursuit, trend pursuit, risk perception, and economic orientation. The differences in the preferred orientation between super app consumer types were found to be statistically significant. The majority of respondents were multifunction type consumers. This group used the super app most frequently and effectively. They also demonstrated the highest scores for all five of the shopping orientations. The classification of consumer types in this study will allow the fashion and beauty industries to utilize super apps for more targeted product design and marketing.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate consumer shopping orientation toward foreign brands in the context of clothing involvement, ethnocentrism, country-of-orion effects and demograpic variables. But in this paper, to begin with, shopping orientation was studyed in connection with ethnocentrism and country-of-orion effects. The questionnaire was distributed to 300 female consumers over twenties living in pusan area and finally 213 data sets were used for statistical analysis.8y factor analysis,5 shopping orientation factors were identified: following to foreign brands, desire for flaunt, preference to domestics, favor to foreign brands and country-of-orion consciousness. By univariate analysis, consumer's disposition of ethnocentrism was studyed and consumers were divided into 3 groups according to disposition of ethnocentrism through fast cluster analysis. Resurts reveled that Korean consumers have strong ethnocenterism. And country-of-orion effects were studyed. Consumers are favorable toward foreign brands and products, especially toward Italy and France goods, except Hongkong and China goods nevertheless strong ethnocentrisuL As a result of canonical correlation analysis about shopping orientation factors and ethnocenterism revealed that ethnocenterism correlated negatively with one factor (following to foreign brands) and positively with another (preference to domestics).
