The Determinants and their Time-Varying Spillovers on Liquefied Natural Gas Import Prices in China Based on TVP-FAVAR Model

  • China is playing more predominant role in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) market worldwide and LNG import price is subject to various factors both at home and abroad. Nevertheless, previous studies rarely heed a multiple of factors. A time-varying parameter factor augmented vector auto-regression (TVP-FAVAR) model is adopted to discover the determinants of China's LNG import price and their dynamic impacts from January 2012 to December 2021. According to the findings, market fundamentals have a greater impact on the import price of natural gas in China than overall economic demand, financial considerations, and world oil prices. The primary determinants include domestic gas consumption, consumer confidence and other demand-side information. Then, there are diverse and time-varying spillover effects of the four common determinants on the volatility of China's LNG import price at different intervals and time nodes. The price volatility is more sensitive and long-lasting to domestic natural gas pricing reform than other negative shocks such as the Sino-US trade war and the COVID-19 pandemic. The results in this study further proves the importance of domestic natural gas market liberalization. China ought to do more to support the further marketization of natural gas prices while working harder to guarantee natural gas supplies.

수요변화에 따른 영화 상영관 입지의 공간적 재구조화 (Spatial Restructuring of Movie Theather Locations)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the restructuring processes of the locations of service industry whose demand has been decrease rapidly. The demand of movie theater has been change dramatically during the last three decades. the spatial distribution patterns of movie theaters have been changed according to the changes in the demand. In order to investigate the locational charateristics of movie theaters, in seoul we surveyed the consumer's behavior. We focused on the study to examine the relationships between the locations of movie theaters and transportation development. Especially, We look at the impacts of the development of subway networks on the locations of movie theaters in Seoul. The dvelopment of subway networks has played a very of movie theaters location. The hierarchicla structures of movie theaters have also chaged. Inspite of declining in the demand for movie theater, the number of first-run movie theaters has been increased continuously. The number of second-run movie theaters has been decreased dramatically. Some of them has been upgraded to first-run theater and some of them has been smallized. But, most of them have been closed. An the other hand the quality of movie theater facilities tends to be higher, while the sizes of movie theaters tends to be smallized.

Acceptance of Smart Clothing Based on Outdoor Consumption Behavior

  • Recently, following the commercialization and market entry of smart clothes with diverse functions, smart clothes have been changing from technology-centered products to user-centered products. However, the analysis of consumer demand centered on actual commercialized products is lacking. Therefore, this study classified commercialized smart clothes by function and analyzed the demand and requirements of smart clothes according to sports/outdoor clothes consumption behaviors. As a result, consumers were classified according to their sports/outdoor clothes consumption behaviors into an outdoor leading group with high consumption propensity, an outdoor pursuit group with medium consumption propensity, and an outdoor following group with low consumption propensity. Among the commercialized smart clothes, those with a heartbeat measuring function, those with a heating function, and those with a light-emitting function were presented and demand analysis was conducted. According to the results, the outdoor leading group and the outdoor pursuit group had higher levels of awareness, preference, and purchase intentions than the outdoor following group. In addition, the outdoor leading group showed the highest level of purchase price acceptance while the outdoor following group showed the lowest level of purchase price acceptance. However, this study has a limitation that the acceptance for smart clothes were analyzed with consumers who had experience in sports outdoor clothes consumption. Therefore, in future, studies will be conducted with a wide range of consumers.

전력기기 특성 및 가동 지연 불편도를 고려한 실시간 급작 수요 협상 프레임웍 기반 스마트 그리드 시스템 (Real Time Sudden Demand Negotiation Framework based Smart Grid System considering Characteristics of Electric device type and Customer' Delay Discomfort)

  • The considerations of the electrical device' characteristics and the customers' satisfaction have been important criteria for efficient smart grid systems. In general, an electrical device is classified into a non-interruptible device or an interruptible device. The consideration of the type is an essential information for the efficient smart grid scheduling. In addition, customers' scheduling preferences or satisfactions have to be considered simultaneously. However, the existing research studies failed to consider both criteria. This paper proposes a new and efficient smart grid scheduling framework considering both criteria. The framework consists of two modules - 1) A day-head smart grid scheduling algorithm and 2) Real-time sudden demand negotiation framework. The first method generates the smart grid schedule efficiently using an embedded genetic algorithm with the consideration of the device's characteristics. Then, in case of sudden electrical demands, the second method generates the more efficient real-time smart grid schedules considering both criteria. In order to show the effectiveness of the proposed framework, comparisons with the existing relevant research studies are provided under various electricity demand scenarios.

소비자의 기술혁신수용 유형에 따른 T-Commerce 수요도 (Consumer's Demands for the T-Commerce By the Technology Adoption Types)

  • 디지털 기술의 발달에 따라 DMB, WiBro 등의 새로운 서비스가 소개되었으며, 이와 같은 서비스는 소비자들의 소비행동 패턴에 많은 영향을 미치고 있다. 특히 국내외 디지털방송기술의 발전으로 소비자에게 새로운 형태의 커머스인 T-Commerce가 주목을 받기 시작했으며 이와 같은 상거래 방식은 현재의 소비 및 구매 패턴과는 아주 다른 새로운 소비환경을 소비자들에게 제공할 것이다. 이에 본 연구에 의한 소비자의 기술혁신 수용유형에 따른 T-Commerce 수요도 분석은 향후 소비자의 소비행위를 예측하고 분석하는데 유용하다고 사료되었다. 본 연구 결과 기술혁신 수용유형은 구매의도에 현저한 차이를 보였으며, T-Commerce 최대 지불의사 가격에는 기술혁신수용 유형, 월평균 인터넷 쇼핑 구매금액, 주간 TV홈쇼핑 이용시간의 순으로 현저한 차이를 보였다. 회귀분석 결과를 토대로 모든 독립변수의 영향력이 통제된 상태에서 기술혁신수용 유형, 인터넷 쇼핑 구매액수, TV홈쇼핑 시청시간에 따른 소비자의 T-Commerce 최대 지불의사 가격(Willingness to pay)을 시뮬레이션 하였다.

전국 생활용수의 경제적 가치 평가: 가정용수 대 비가정용수 (Economic Valuation of the Municipal Water: Residential and Non-residential Uses)

  • 국민들의 삶의 질과 직접적으로 연관되어 있는 생활용수의 수요 관리 및 공급을 위한 적절한 투자 등 합리적인 정책을 수립, 시행하기 위해서는 생활용수의 경제적 가치에 관한 정확하고 객관적인 정보가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 수요함수 접근법을 이용하여 16개 시도의 생활용수의 소비자 잉여 및 경제적 가치를 추정하였다. 분석결과, 2009년 전국의 생활용수의 $m^3$당 소비자 잉여와 경제적 가치는 각각 1,180.7원과 1,812.8원으로 추정되었으며 시도별 1,082.7원에서 3,268.6원의 범위를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 지역에 상관없이 비가정용수의 경제적 가치가 가정용수의 경제적 가치를 초과하였고, 수돗물의 가격에 비해 생활용수의 경제적 가치는 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 생활용수 공급의 경제적 편익에 대한 정보로 활용될 수 있으며 더 나아가 수도요금 산정의 배경자료로도 참고할 수 있을 것이다.

전기자동차 침투율을 고려한 피크 부하 저감용 스마트 기기의 적응적 제어 (An Adaptive Control of Smart Appliances with Peak Shaving Considering EV Penetration)

  • Electric utilities may face new threats with increase in electric vehicles (EVs) in the personal automobile market. The peak demand will increase which may stress the distribution network equipment. The focus of this paper is on an adaptive control of smart household appliances by using an intelligent load management system (ILMS). The main objectives are to accomplish consumer needs and prevent overloading of power grid. The stress from the network is released by limiting the peak demand of a house when it exceeds a certain point. In the proposed strategy, for each smart appliance, the customers will set its order/rank according to their own preferences and then system will control the household loads intelligently for consumer reliability. The load order can be changed at any time by the customer. The difference between the set and actual value for each load's specific parameter will help the utility to estimate the acceptance of this intelligent load management system by the customers.

중국 내 자동차 산업 동향과 월별 판매량 시계열분석 (Analysis of Automobile Industry Trends and Demand Forecasting of Monthly Automobile Sales in Chin)

  • 본 연구에서는 급변하고 있는 세계 경제 환경 하에서 중국 자동차 산업의 발전 현황과 자동차 산업과 관련한 중국 정부의 정책을 살펴보고, 중국 내 소비자들의 자동차 구입에 대해 소비자 동향 조사를 실시하였다. 중국 정부의 강력한 국가 배출가스 규제정책과 내연기관 자동차 제조·판매 기준의 강화에도 불구하고 소비자들은 다양한 이유로 앞으로 자동차를 구매 시 내연기관차를 선택하겠다는 응답비율이 59.6%에 달하는 등 정부 정책과 소비자 인식 사이에는 적지 않은 차이가 존재하고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 최근의 중국 내 자동차 판매량의 감소 추세를 발견하여 2010년 1월부터 2020년 12월까지 월별 판매량을 학습용 데이터로, 2021년 1월부터 2022년 11월 동안의 판매량을 평가용으로 구분하여 향후 중국의 자동차 수요를 예측하는 시계열 모형들을 제안, 평가하였다. 그리고 각 시계열모형을 적용하였을 때의 2023년도의 월별 예측 판매량을 보였다.

Development and Evaluation of a Patient Garment Based on Functional-Modesty-Aesthetic (FMA) Model

  • Recent research suggested that hospitals have not responded to consumer demand for the improved aesthetic and comfort of their patient garments. Thus a new patient garment has been developed considering human factors based on the Functional-Modesty-Aesthetics model. Based on the reviewed literature and the model, necessary design requirements were identified. Then the patient garment was evaluated in comparison to existing ones with regard to potential patients' satisfaction levels. As a result, the developed patient garment received better evaluations in the aspects of overall aesthetic satisfaction, color satisfaction, and willingness to wear than the existing patient garments.

배출권거래제도 실시가 CBP 시장에 미치는 영향분석 및 대응방안 수립연구 (A Study on the Impact Analysis of Introducing Emission Trading System on CBP Market and Policy Implications)

  • The bearer of the power sector's ETS compliance cost is power consumer for the following reasons. Firstly, power companies are constrained in establishing appropriate strategies to comply with ETS regulations due to the structural differences between the domestic power market and emission trading system. In other words, because power companies do not have a right to determine price and production of electricity, they have to compete with other companies under disadvantaged conditions in the emission trading market. Secondly, because ETS compliance cost is part of power production costs as it is also clearly written in the national greenhouse gas reduction road-map and the second energy supply plan, the cost should be included in power price following the power market operation rule. Thirdly, the most effective method to reduce carbon emissions in power sector is to reduce power demand, which is efficiently achieved through raising power price to a realistic level. Low power price in Korea is the major cause of rising power demand which is also the major cause of rising GHG emission. Therefore, power sector's ETS compliance cost should be included in power price to encourage power consumers' actions on reducing power consumption. Fourthly, when externality cost occurs in the process of delivering public services, usually beneficiary pay principle is applied to identify the cost bearer. Since electricity is one representative public good, the bearer of power sector's ETS compliance cost is power consumer.
