  • The development of artificial intelligence in the field of construction and construction is revitalizing. The performance and development techniques of artificial intelligence are changing rapidly, but if you look at the cases of domestic construction sites, they are using technologies from 5 to 7 years ago. It is right to follow a stable method in consideration of commercialization, but the previous AI development method requires more manpower and time to develop than the current technology. In addition, in order to actively utilize artificial intelligence technology, customized artificial intelligence is required to be applied to ever-changing changes in construction sites. it is the reality As a result, even if good AI technology is secured at the construction site, it is reluctant to introduce it because there is no advantage in terms of time and cost compared to the existing method to apply it only to some processes. Currently, an AI technique with a faster development process and accurate recognition has been developed to cope with a fluid situation, so it will be important to understand and introduce the rapidly changing AI development method.

  • Although various studies about indoor positioning systems, such as beacon and Wifi, have been conducting for indoor positioning of workers at construction sites, these systems have limitations in terms of accuracy or economics. To overcome these limitations, geomagnetic field sequence-based indoor positioning technology can be a good alternative. However, it is necessary to correct the geomagnetic field near the construction material stocking area since the geomagnetic field can be distorted near construction materials such as rebars. Therefore, this study conducted an experiment for identifying correction range of geomagnetic field near the construction material stocking area. It was analyzed that the geomagnetic field should be corrected up to 60cm in the horizontal direction from the stocking point if the height of stocking area for rebars is 40cm or more. This study can be used for important reference for development of geomagnetic field sequence-based indoor positioning technology suitable for construction sites.

  • 소규모 공사는 건축에 있어 가장 기초적이며 근본이 되는 의미를 가진다. 현재 $\ulcorner$건축법$\lrcorner$ 제8조(건축허가)에는 도시계획구역 이외의 지역에 대하여 연면적 $200m^{2}$ 이상이거나 3층 이상인 건축물에는 공사현장에 감리원을 배치하도록 명시하고 있으며 이러한 기준 이하의 건축물에 관해서는 건축신고로 이루어지고 있다. 하지만, 법의 범위를 벗어난 공사현장에서 많은 문제점이 발생하고 있다. 건물의 설계는 전문가인 건축사가 하지 않으며 별도의 감리자도 없이 지역담당 공무원의 현장 방문으로만 관리하고 있는 실정이다. 현장의 기술력은 1980년대의 그것과 크게 다르지 않고, 노동자들의 안전은 더욱 문제가 되고 있으며, 또한 자재선택이 적절치 못해 건축물의 전체적인 품질저하를 초래하기도 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 소규모 프로젝트에 대한 현행 법규를 검토하고 소규모 공사현장 책임자와의 설문 및 인터뷰조사를 통하여 현장관리실태를 파악하고 문제점을 분석한다. 그리고 문제점에 대해 많은 현장을 경험한 고령의 기술자를 적극 활용하기 위해 Data Base를 구축하고 온라인 및 오프라인을 통해 공사를 조언 및 관리하는 방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

  • In the past several years, accident frequency rate was decreased but severity rate was increased at construction sites with less than two-hundred workers. Accidents caused by failure of education in respect with the management occupied about 40 % in 1997. In this research, a questionnaire survey to know the effects of safety education was committed for small & medium construction sites. Survey results showed that workers wanted to improve work environments and safety facilities than safety education, however they also were not satisfied to educational facilities, contents and methods. Whereas, they agreed that they improved safety consciousness after safety education. As a result, four appropriate methods to promote effective safety education were proposed.

  • Green Slope(F.F.R : Fabric Form Reinforcement Method) is one of an environmental slope protection method at steep cutting sites. This method is that soil and rock at the steep slope is fixed using the environmental Fabric Form, Nail, Rock Bolt and Rock Anchor, And then, the surfaces covered with grasses or weeds. This method will be satisfied both safe slope protection and natural environment appearance. Green Slope is a useful method of the construction sites of steep cutting slopes.

  • The characteristics of the landfill of coal ash and ironwork wastes are investied by performing the basic geotechnical experiments and groundwater quality analyses in the landfills. The results show that the waste materials themselves have good characteristics that can be used as reclamation materials. However, landfills need either some ground improvement or costly foundation and excavation methods to be used as construction sites, because of the careless management during the period of waste disposal.

  • The objective of this study is the developement of real time automatic datalogger using bluetooth modem for safety and maintence of civil construction sites. Automatic measurement system using general wireless modem is studied, and data communication method of between personal computer(or Server) and automatic measurement data is analyzed. Therefore data communication method and analyzing program of automatic measurement data is developed using real time automatic datalogger with bluetooth modem. Ecological Impact Analysis of a Stream on the Dam Construction Using Species Biotic Index (SBI) as a Tool of Ecosystem Health Assessment

  • Species biotic index (SBI), based on a fish assemblage, was applied to a stream assessment using long-term ecological fish data set (1996 to 2001) in Boryong dam area, which is located in the mainstream of Ungchun Stream of Chungnam province, Korea. According to the methods of Hilsenhoff (1988), the scores of tolerance guild assigned 10 classes to each species by its habitat and feeding guild, but modified current 7 criteria to 5 scoring standards due to unclear borderline among species. Relative abundance in the species number of upper stream guilds was only 7% of the total, whereas the abundance in the species number of middle to downstream upper stream guilds was 64%. Mean SBI, based on dataset in Site 1 during 1995-2001 averaged 5.10, which was judged as a "good" condition by the rank criteria of SBI. Before the dam construction, mean SBI in the Site 1 was 4.61, indicating a "good" condition, but after the dam construction, mean SBI was 5.60, indicating a "fair" condition. Trajectory analysis in the Site 1 showed significantly (One-way ANOVA, $F_{6,21}=3.26$, p=0.02) different among years, reflecting the changes of fish composition and population density by the dam construction, whereas Site 2 showed no significant changes ($F_{6,21}=1.00$, P =0.45) difference among years. Mean SBI prior to the dam construction in the Site 3 was 4.52 but after the construction, the value was 6.30, indicating a distinct difference between the pre- and post-dam construction. Trajectory analysis at the Site 3 supported this fact: Values of SBI showed significantly ($F_{6,21}$=14.37, p<0.01) different. Mean SBI was 4.67 in the Site 4, indicating a "good" condition in the health and the health rank was same as the sampling sites 1, 2, and 4. Trajectory in the Site 4 showed no significant ($F_{6,21}=2.35$, p=0.07) difference among the years. Overall, our trajectory analysis indicated that three of four sampling sites (sites 1, 3, 4) showed significant decreases (n=7, p<0.05) and that the proportions of sensitive species declined evidently in the sites 1 and 2 and the tolerant species increased in the dam sites. Our outcomes may be used as a key data for diagnosis of the long-term ecological impact in the future in the watershed.

해양터미널구조물설치분야 직무능력 및 활용패키지 개발에 대한 연구 (A Study on Duty Competency and Utilizing Package Development for Construction of Marine Terminal Structure)

  • NCS development for construction of marine terminal structure was carried out through following procedures such as analysis on characteristics, analysis on duty, development of the first draft for standards, validation of industry sites, duty competency standards through expert committee, and utilizing package. The results were as follows. Firstly, duty competency was classified as levels from 3 to 7. Educational training institutions were followed by 22 universities, 21 colleges, 16 graduate schools, and 10 high schools. Secondly, developed standards were consisted of duty and competency unit. The name of duty was construction of marine terminal structure and competency units were consisted of 9 items as survey on economic effect, evaluation of conditions on construction environment, plan for construction of structure, construction of transfer, mooring, and power equipment, and construction, startup test, and maintenance of terminal structure. 33 competency unit elements below 9 competency units were developed. Thirdly, utilizing package was developed into 3 areas of life-long career path, training criteria, and guidelines for exam according to national competency standards for in order to develop development of labor's career and perform personal management such as hiring and promotion in industry sites.

  • Since construction sites are exposed to outdoor environments, working conditions are significantly dangerous. Thus, wearing of the personal protective equipments such as safety helmet is very important for worker safety. However, construction workers are often wearing-off the helmet as inconvenient and uncomportable. As a result, a small mistake may lead to serious accident. For this, checking of wearing safety helmet is important task to safety managers in field. However, due to the limited time and manpower, the checking can not be executed for every individual worker spread over a large construction site. Therefore, if an automatic checking system is provided, field safety management should be performed more effectively and efficiently. In this study, applicability of deep learning based computer vision technology is investigated for automatic checking of wearing safety helmet in construction sites. Faster R-CNN deep learning algorithm for object detection and classification is employed to develop the automatic checking model. Digital camera images captured in real construction site are used to validate the proposed model. Based on the results, it is concluded that the proposed model may effectively be used for automatic checking of wearing safety helmet in construction site.
