Delayed Operation Characteristics of Power Shuttle According to Hydraulic Oil Temperature in the Hydraulic Circuit of Agricultural Tractor

  • Purpose: During the start-up period, the response time of a hydraulic system increases in the winter because of the increased oil viscosity caused by the cold weather. The problems of delayed tractor starting and excessive wear of the clutch disk occur for these reasons. Therefore, this study develops an analysis model using the commercial hydraulic analysis program AMESim to examine the characteristics of delays in power shuttle starting at different oil temperatures. Methods: In the experiment, a tractor was stationary on a flat surface with the engine running at a constant speed of 1,080 rpm. The forward lever was then pressed to activate the power shuttle at three different oil temperatures, and the pressure changes were measured. The pressure on the forward clutch control valve was measured by a pressure gauge installed on the hydraulic line supplied to the transmission from the main valve. An analysis model was also developed and verified with actual tests. Results: The trend of the simulated pressures of the power shuttle is similar to that of the measured pressures, and a constant modulation period was observed in both the simulation and test results. However, the difference found between the simulation and test results was the initial pressure required to overcome the initial force of the clutch spring. Conclusions: This study also examines the characteristics of the delayed startup of the power shuttle at different oil temperatures through simulations.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the overall spray behavior characteristics for various injection conditions in a gasoline direct injection(GDI) injector with multi-hole. The spray characteristics, such as the spray penetration, the spray angle, and the injection quantity, were studied through the change of the injection pressure, the ambient pressure, and the energizing duration in a high-pressure chamber with a constant volume. The n-heptane with 99.5% purity was used as the test fuel. In a constant volume chamber, the injected spray was visualized by the spray visualization system, which consisted of the high-speed camera, the metal-halide lamp, the injector control device, and the image analysis system with the image processing program. It was revealed that the injection quantity was mainly affected by the difference between the injection pressure and the ambient pressure. For low injection pressure conditions, the injection quantity was decreased by the increase of the ambient pressure, while it nearly maintained regardless of the ambient pressure at high injection pressure. According to the increase of the ambient pressure in the constant volume chamber, the spray development became slow, consequently, the spray tip penetration decreased, and the spray area increased. In additions, the circular cone area decreased, and the vortex area increased.

오일필터 일체형 엔진오일퇴화감지센서 시작품 개발 I (The Prototype Development of an Engine Oil Deterioration Sensor Installed Inside an Oil Filter)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the proto type sensor installed inside an oil filter in order to detect oil deterioration level. The sensor is made up with two concentric cylinders with constant gap in between and a filter element inside the central area. The size will be designed as similar as real oil filters. The sensor will be tested on a test rig, which is circulating engine oil, with the same size of an oil filter adapting housing as real engines'. It will be measured the capacitance of a sample engine oil, then be able to be gotten the dielectric constant. The changes in the dielectric constant could be correlated with the engine oil deterioration level if the sensor development would be completed. In this paper, it will be shown the test results carrying out under variable temperature conditions at atmosphere pressure.

재하속도에 따른 압밀특성에 관한 실험적 고찰 (An Experimental Study on the Consolidation Characteristics with Loading Rate)

  • The purpose of this study is to establish a proper criterion for the constant rate of loading consolidation(CRLC) test which is a kind of the continuous loading consolidation(CLC) and widely used as alternative methods to the incremental loading consolidation(ILC)test. With those results, the preconsolidation pressure estimated by the CRLC test turned out to be comparatively larger than that of the ILC test, and it is increased in proportion to the applied loading rates. However, the compression index in the CRLC test is less influenced on by the loading rates. The coefficient of consolidation and permeability in the CRLC test are dependent on excess pore pressure ratio mainly. In other words, if the pore pressure ratios are too low, the coefficient of consolidation and permeability become smaller than those of the ILC test. On the other hand, if the excess pore pressure ratios are too high, the coefficient of consolidation and permeability become so larger than those of the ILC test. Therefore, loading rates should be carefully determined to generate proper excess pore pressure ratio inside the soil specimen. From this study, good results are obtained from the CRLC test if the excess pore pressure ratios were in the range of 2.5 to 6.0 %, performed with loading rates between 0.0015 and 0.005 $kgf/cm^2/min$.

피에오콘의 간극수압 소산시험에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pore Pressure Dissipation Test of the Piezocone)

  • 피에조콘을 이용하면 연약지반 개량후 임의의 시점에서 지반의 압밀도를 파악할 수가 있다. 이 경우 임의의 심도에서 피에조콘의 관입을 멈추고 간극수압이 일정한 값에 이를 때까지 간극 수압 소산시험을 실시하는데, 연약지반의 투수계수가 작기 때문에 대체적으로 상당히 오랜 시간 동안 소산시험을 하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 침하 분석기법 가운데 일반적으로 널리 알려져 있는 쌍곡선법, 아사오카법, 호시노법을 이용하여 간극수압 소산시험시의 평형간극수압을 각각 추정한 후 장시간에 걸친 실제 시험결과와 비교함으로써 간극수압 소산시험에 소요되는 시간을 단축할 수 있는 방법을 연구하였다. 그 결과, 호시노법을 이용한 추정방법이 가장 적합한 방법임을 알 수 있었으며 이를 이용한 효율적인 간극수압 소산시험 방법을 제시하였다.

정적 구형 용기 내 연소 압력을 이용한 층류화염속도측정에 대한 연구 (Laminar Flame Speed Measurement using Combustion Pressure Trace in Constant Volume Spherical Chamber)

  • Laminar flame speeds of Methane at elevated temperatures and pressures were investigated using constant volume spherical chamber. Pressure trace during combustion was measured in each test and this was used in calculating laminar flame speed of Methane. To have large amount of data, experimental apparatus was fabricated with fully automatically controlled feature. A calculating code which calculates laminar flame speeds at various temperatures and pressures with one experimental result was used to calculate laminar flame speeds. The experimental and calculating methods were verified using the calculated laminar flame speed result with PREMIX code.

  • Steam generator (SG) tubes in a nuclear power plant can undergo rapid changes in pressure and temperature during an accident; thus, an accurate model to predict short-term creep damage is essential. The theta (𝜃) projection method has been widely used for modeling creep-strain behavior under constant stress. However, many creep test data are obtained under constant load, so creep rupture behavior under a constant load cannot be accurately simulated due to the different stress conditions. This paper proposes a novel methodology to obtain the creep curve under constant stress using a modified 𝜃 projection method that considers the increase in true stress during creep deformation in a constant-load creep test. The methodology is validated using finite element analysis, and the limitations of the methodology are also discussed. The paper also proposes a creep-strain model for alloy 690 as an SG material and a novel creep hardening rule we call the damage-fraction hardening rule. The creep hardening rule is applied to evaluate the creep rupture behavior of SG tubes. The results of this study show its great potential to evaluate the rupture behavior of an SG tube governed by creep deformation.

차량용 CNG 레귤레이터의 성능특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance Characteristics for a CNG Regulators of Automotive Vehicle)

  • 천연가스 자동차에 탑재되어 있는 연료압력 레귤레이터는 연료분사시스템의 압력을 일정하게 유지하는 역할을 한다. 연료압력의 정확한 제어는 천연가스 자동차가 가지고 있는 높은 효율성과 청정성을 십분 활용하기 위해서 반드시 필요한 사항이다. 본 연구에서는 천연가스 레귤레이터의 성능을 정확하게 평가할 수 있는 고압실험장치를 구축하였으며, 이 장치를 이용하여 두 가지 방식의 천연가스 레귤레이터를 평가하고 상호 비교를 하였다. 레귤레이터 밸브시스템의 설계에 따라 여러 가지 레귤레이터 성능 특성 중 동적응답과 Creep특성이 영향을 많이 받는 것으로 나타났으며, 레귤레이터 입구 압력이 높을 경우 출구 가스의 온도가 급격히 감소하는 것으로 나타남으로써 아이싱문제를 효과적으로 방지할 수 있는 방안이 마련되어야 함을 확인할 수 있었다.

Fluorocarbon의 전기적 특성연구 (A study on the electrical characteristics of the fluorocarbon)

  • In this paper, we investigated physical properties and electrical characteristics of the fluorocarbon that used as coolants for large power gas-insulated transformer. Volume resistivity of the fluorocarbon was .rho.=1.87*10$^{15}$ [.ohm.cm] at 1 atm, 27.deg. C. Dielectric constant was 1.86 and decreases as temperature increase. The breakdown voltage at 1 atm was higher than that of transformer oil. The breakdown voltage of fluorocarbon vapor was about 18kV when pressure in a test chamber increases over lkg/cm$^{2}$. When fluorocarbon was mixed with SF$_{6}$ gas, breakdown voltage of the mixed was higher than that of fluorocarbon. Then fluorocarbon leads to increase over 4kg/cm$^{2}$ in pressure as temperature increase. Therefore, when a gas-insulated transformer is manufactured, the design must be taken into consideration a high-pressure.

  • The object of the present work is the acoustic emission energy analysis of subambient pressure tri-pad slider. Head/disk interaction during start/stop and constant speed were detected by using acoustic emission (AE) test system The frequency spectrum analysis is performed using the AE signal obtained during the head/disk interaction Natural frequency analysis was performed using Ansys program. Acoustic emission energy was calculated for the slider modes.
