동적모드 I 상태에서 직교 이방성체의 이방성비가 등속전파 균열선단의 응력성분과 변위성분에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Anisotropic Property Ratio of Orthotropic Material on Stress Components and Displacement Components at Crack tip Propagating with Constant Velocity Under Dynamic Mode I)

  • When the crack in orthotropic material is propagating under dynamic model I load, influences of anisotropic property ratio $E_{L}$/ $E_{T}$ on stress and displacement around propagating crack tip are studied in this paper. When M<0.55 and .alpha.=90.deg.(.alpha.; the angle of fiber direction with crack propagating direction, M; crack propagation velocity/shear stress wave velocity), the influence of $E_{L}$/ $E_{T}$ on stress .sigma.$_{x}$, .sigma.$_{y}$, .tau.$_{xy}$ and .sigma.$_{\theta}$ is the greast on .sigma.$_{y}$. Except M<0.55 and .alpha.=90.deg., it is the greast on .sigma.$_{x}$ in any situation. Increasing $E_{L}$/ $E_{T}$, stress components are increased or decreased. When maximum stress is based, the stress .sigma.$_{x}$(.alpha.=90.deg.), .sigma.$_{y}$(.alpha.=0.deg.) and .tau.$_{xy}$ (.alpha.=90.deg.) are decreased with increment of $E_{L}$/ $E_{T}$ in M=0. any stresses except .sigma.$_{*}$x/(.alpha.=0.deg.) are decreased with increment of $E_{L}$/ $E_{T}$ in M=0.9. When .alpha.=90.deg., the influence of $E_{L}$/ $E_{T}$ on displacement U and V is V>U in any velocities of crack propagation, when .alpha.=0.deg., it is VU in M>0.75 and when $E_{L}$/ $E_{T}$ is increased, U and V are decreased in any conditions.sed in any conditions.tions.tions.tions.

  • Some experiments were carried out to investigate the effects of freezing and thawing on the strength and strain characteristics of alluvial silty clay under the different temperatures, loading and moisture conditions. The results were as follows; 1. The soil used was proved to be consisted of silty clay with honey-combed structure, and showed higher dilatancy, frost activity and lower stability in natural state. 2. Soil treated with freezing and thawing cycles showed lower compressive strength compared with the non treated, The strength decreased with incement of freezing and thawing cycles. It's shapes of stress-strain curves were flat and did not formulate a peak while the peak strength of higher moisture content soil decreased with the increment of moisture content. It's decrement ratio was most distinctly shown at the first one cycle of freezing and thawing. 3. The cohesion decreased due to freezing and thawing cycles but internal frcition angle was not changed. 4. The liquid limit decreased with increment of freezing and thawing cycles, and became almost constant after three cycles of freezing and thawing. 5. The strength under simple loading at failure mode was appeared to be higher compared with the cyclic loading after freezing and thawing but initial moisture content effect was not observed. 6. Ice lense was not observed within 50% of ice content ratio but observed over 100%. The higher the ice content ratio, the higher the peak strength. As a matter of fact, it seems that an optimum ice content ratio exists for plastic mode and the least compressive strength.

플룸에 의한 액체로켓 저부면 복사 가열 해석 (Numerical Analysis on Radiative Heating of a Plume Base in Liquid Rocket Engine)

  • 로켓노즐로부터 방사되는 플룸에 의한 로켓 저부면의 복사 가열을 수치해석적으로 조사하였다. 로켓노즐 주위의 유동 및 온도장의 계산이 선행되었으며, 그에 따라 실제적인 플룸의 형태와 플룸내부의 온도분포를 얻었다. 계산된 온도장을 토대로, 복사 열전달 방정식을 구분종좌법을 이용하여 풀이하였다. 견본 로켓 플룸에 대해 계산한 결과, 저부면에 도달하는 평균복사열은 비행고도 10.9 km에서 약 5kw/m$^{2}$ 이었다. 이 수치는, 플룸의 공간적인 온도분포를 고려하지 않고 일정온도 (1500 K) 가정하에 계산된 복사량에 비하여 작은 값이지만, 그 절대적인 크기를 무시할 수 있을 정도로 작은 값은 아니다. 고고도(29.8 km)에서는 플룸의 팽창 때문에 저부면과 배기 플룸 사이의 보기계수가 증가하게 된다. 그러나, 대류 열전달에 의해 저부면이 1000 K이상으로 가열되기 때문에 복사가열 현상은 사라지게됨을 알았다.

선형에 따른 선박의 침로 안정성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Course Stability in Accordance with Configuration of Ships)

  • Ship's maneuverability is very important factor in safe ship handling and economical ship operation. Steering characteristics are consisted of course stability and maneuverability. Today in many advanced ship-building countries, they study ship's course stability, using model ship tests, such as straight line tests, rotating arm tests and Planar Motion Mechanism (PMM) etc., in tow in tanks. It is the purpose of this paper to provide ship's handlers with better understanding of steering characteristics and to help them in safe controlling and manevering . In this paper, the author simulated response of various vessels, running straight course with constant speed, and they are disturbed by small external disturbance of one degree yaw angle with no angular velocity . The author used the hydrodynamic derivtives resulted at tests of Davidson's laboratory in Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey, U.S.A. Course stability was evaluated and analyzed in various respects, such as block coefficient, ratio of ship's length to beam, draft and rudder area ratio etc. The obtained results are as follows : (1) The ship's course stability is affected by magnitude of block coefficient greatly. In case that the block coefficient is more than 0.7, the deviation varies at nearly same rate but the requistite time to reach the steady course is different. (2) The ship's course stability is affected by magnitude of L/B. When the dimensionless time reaches about 3, the deviation and requisite time to reach the steady course are influenced nearly same. After the dimensionless time is about 3, they change on invariable ratio. (3) The effect to course stability by L/T and RA' can be neglected. (4) The reason why thy VLCC and container feeder vessel are unstable on their course is that their block coefficient is generally more than 0.8 and the ratio of ship's length to beam is about 6.0.

에이치(H)자 형태의 기생패치를 가진 초광대역 안티포달 비발디 안테나 (Ultra-wideband Antipodal Vivaldi Antenna with H-shaped Parasitic Patches)

  • 초광대역 안테나는 위성통신, 레이더, 리모트 센싱 시스템, 전파 망원경, 마이크로웨이브 화상 시스템 등의 여러가지 용도로 쓰인다. 수많은 형태의 광대역 안테나 구조들이 있으나, 테이퍼 슬롯 비발디 안테나는 가격, 무게, 스캔각도, 종형 복사, 쉬운 급전과 시스템 구성의 용이성 등의 장점이 있다. 이 논문에서는 개선된 안티포달 비발디 안테나를 제안하였다. 설계에 있어서 H자 형태의 기생패치 구조를 채택하였으며 이를 통해 전체 작동 주파수에 있어서 방사특성을 개선하는 능력을 나타내었다. 비유전율(${\epsilon}_r$) 2.2, 유전체 두께 0.7874mm의 RT/duroid 5880기판을 사용해 제안된 안테나의 시작품을 제작하고 측정한 결과 7.8-52.5GHz에 걸쳐 -10dB 반사손실 대역폭과 9-12dBi의 이득을 보였으며 이는 시뮬레이션 결과와 합리적으로 일치함을 확인하였다.

  • 마이크로 가스터빈용 하이브리드/이중 선회 제트 연소기의 형상 최적화에 대한 실험연구가 수행되었다. 고정된 열부하에서 pilot 버너의 위치 및 선회기 베인의 방향이 주요 변수로 검토되었다. 주요 결과로서, pilot 버너 및 연료 노즐의 위치변화는 버너 출구 근처의 최소 유동면적 및 재순환 유동패턴의 변화를 발생시키며, 이로 인하여 선회강도 및 화염형상이 큰 영향을 받게 된다. 선회기 베인 각도의 증가($30^{\circ}$에서 $45^{\circ}$)는 희박가연한계 근처에서 CO 배출량을 크게 저감시킨다. 추가로 정방향 선회형상이 역방향 선회형상에 비해 보다 낮은 CO 및 NOx 배출량을 갖게 됨을 확인하였다.

태양열 공기난방기에서 핀의 형상에 따른 열전달 성능 평가 (Research on Thermal Performance by Different Fins in a Solar Air Heater)

  • It is essential to reduce the amount of fossil fuel because facing with the natural problem such as a global warming. To achieve this goal, many of interests in the use of renewable energy is growing. Especially, as one of these renewable energy systems, a solar air heater invention has been conducted for enhancing the efficiency of solar air heater. According to this trend, scale-down sized experiment apparatus was constructed and performed for searching a proper fin and confirming the heat transfer performance by fin shape on constant heat condition to enhance efficiency of solar air heater. In this experiment, heat gain, convection heat transfer coefficient, number of transfer units, Nusselt number, Reynold's number, friction factor, performance factor were investigated in order to evaluate the thermal characteristics based on the real data obtained. By comparison with the each fin performance, a zigzag shape keeping a right angle to the plate had the highest value among them.

Kalanchoe속의 기관 부위별 표피구조와 기공유형 (Epidermal Structure and Stomatal Types in Various Parts of Each Organ of Kalanchoe)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the epidermal structure, the stomatal types, the ontogeny of stomara in various parts of each organ of K. blossfeldiana, K. kewensis, and K. tometosa belonging to Kalanchoe. The epidermal cells were polygonal or isodiametric ones in the leaves, and mostly rectangular, tetragonal, and elongated ones in the leaves, and mostly rectangular, tetragonal, and elongated ones in the other organs. The candelabrum-like, triradiate stellete trichomes in the aerial parts of all organs of K. tomentosa were found. The cuticular striations and square crystals of calcium oxalate in the epidermal cells of petals of K. blossfeldiana were observed. The great majority of the mature stomata in various parts of all the organs were commonly helicocytic types. This type was subdivided into three subtypes such as parahelicocytic, anomohelicocytic, and dianisocytic stomata on the basis of the division angle of the guard mother cells. Somethies, the anisocytic type was found in most organs. This type was subdivided into three subtyes such as paranisocytic, nomoanisocytic, and dianisocytic stomata in the same way as the helicocytic type. A new stomataltype with anisocytic stoma within a girdle of four subsidiary cells of tetracytic type in the leaf of K. kewensis was firstly observed in the vascular plants. This type was termed the coaniso-tetracytic type. The anomomeristic pattern in the mesogenous category of stomatal types was found in various organs of all the material plants. Developmental mode of stomata was constant in all the parts of each organ within the same plant. The stomata was observed to be a few similar stomatal types in various parts of each organ within the same plant. The ontogeny of all the types is eumesogenous or mesogenous type. The ontogenetic type of stomata was mostly helico-eumesogenous type in all the organs of all the material plants. The mature stoma varied from organ to in regard of the number and arrangement of subsidiary cells.

Ride Quality Investigation of Passenger Cars on Different Road Conditions

  • Objective: The ride qualities of the six passenger cars were evaluated in 4 subjects on the highway and uneven road. The relation between vibration with driving velocity and driving posture were also investigated separately. Background: Ride comfort plays an important role in the vehicle design. Vibration is the one of the principal components associated with ride comfort. Method: The acceleration of the foot, hip and back were measured using B&K accelerometers in this study. The velocity of the passenger cars was maintained at a constant speed of 80km/h on the highway and 40km/h on the uneven road. For evaluating the effects of driving velocity and driving posture on vehicle's vibration level, separate experiments were performed on the highway with 5 different vehicle speeds and 5 different backrest angles, respectively. Results: The overall ride value of the luxury car showed the best result while the smaller car showed the worst value on the highway. On the uneven road the overall ride value level was increased 75~98%. All the vehicles had the SEAT value less than 1. Faster the velocity lowers the SEAT value. The ride quality in terms of vibration gets worst when the backrest angle increased. Conclusion: The smaller car had a first mode at the higher frequency and showed higher vibration level. SEAT value was mostly affected by the seat property not by vehicle. We ranked the luxury car seat had a best vibration reduction quality than others based on SEAT values. When the driving velocity increased, the overall ride values were increased proportionally and the SEAT values were somewhat decreased. 광섬유와 필름격자를 이용한 가속도 센서 (Acceleration Sensor Using Optical Fibers and Film Gratings)

  • 상용의 전자기 가속도 센서에 비해 신호의 안정성 면에서 우수하고 가격이 저렴하며 제작이 비교적 용이한 필름 격자를 이용한 광세기 방식의 새로운 가속도 센서를 제안하고 이를 제작하였다. 외부의 진동에 반응하는 외팔보(cantilever beam)에 서로 주기가 어긋난 2장의 진폭 변조용 필름 격자가 나란히 부착되어 이 필름격자를 지나가는 출력광이 외부진동에 따라 서로 다른 위상으로 변조된다. 이 두 필름격자에 의한 출력의 위상각을 이용하여 출력광 신호의 위상을 구하고, 위상 연속화 과정을 거쳐 외팔보의 변위를 계산하여 가속도 환산 관계식을 통해 가속도를 측정하였다. 본 논문의 필름 격자를 이용한 광섬유 가속도 센서는 대형 구조물 및 토목 구조물의 모니터링에 알맞은 7 Hz 이하의 저주파 대역에서 사용 가능하도록 설계하였다. 이 광섬유 가속도 센서는 광섬유를 이용하였으므로 전자기적 노이즈가 예상되는 곳에서도 구조물의 진동 측정에 적합하다.
