피에조콘을 이용한 연약지반의 압밀특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Consolidation property on Soft ground Using Piezocone)

  • Based on the results obtain from the investigation of Nak-Dong River District, it was classified as very thick, soft soil deposit. Furthermore, during the construction of structures large settlements are expected. Since large settlement affects the structures life, it is very important to accurately determine the consolidation of soil based on the obtained results. In this study piezocone test and laboratory test were performed to determine the consoildtion properties of Nak-Dong River District Pusan, Gyeong-Nam province. Degree of consoildation and the coefficient of consoildation obtained from the data of piezocone test and the results of the Oedometer test were compared and analyzed. Using the results the porewater pressure coefficient($B_q$) was obtained and the relationship with the Plasticity Index was also determined. From the results of this study the effects of the degree of consolidation and consolidation coefficient, and the porewater pressure coefficient and the Plasticity Index was determined.

  • Terzaghi의 1차원 압밀이론은 그 유도과정에 있어 몇 가지 중요한 가정사항을 내포하고 있으며, 이로인해 이 이론을 연약 점토지반의 압밀거동에 적용하는데는 많은 모순이 발생할 수 밖에 없다. 특히, 미소변형 및 선형 물질함수에 대한 가정은 실제 현장의 압밀현상과 비교할 때 많은 오류를 발생시키는 원인으로 작용한다. 이러한 이유에서, Gibson 등은 물질함수의 비선형성을 고려할 수 있는 1차원 비선형 유한변형률 압밀이론에 대한 엄밀해를 발표하였다. 그러나, 이 이론은 연직배수공법이 적용된 일반적인 연약 점토지반의 압밀현상에는 적용시킬 수 없다는 단점을 내포하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 포화된 지반의 수직 및 수평방향 배수를 고려하며 지반의 자중 및 투수성과 압축성에 대한 물질함수의 비선형적 특성을 반영할 수 있는 압밀모델을 제안하였다. 또한 제안된 모델을 실제 압밀현상에 적용하기 위한 수치해석 기법을 개발하였다. 수치해석에 이용된 물질함수의 특성은 표준압밀 시험 및 로우셀 시험, 개량 표준압밀 시험등을 이용하여 산정되었다.

하중증가비에 따른 충주댐 퇴적지반의 압밀 특성 (Consolidation Characteristics of Chungju Dam Deposit Soil in the Load Increment Ratio)

  • This study shows consolidation properties resulted from the experiment made on changes by load increment ratio and consolidation duration of standard consolidation test using deposit soil of Chungju Dam. Though the comparison and analysis of the result turned out that void ratio by load increment ratio was unchanged greatly, the result was inclined as followes : the smaller load increment ratio is, the bigger void ratio is, while the bigger load increment ratio is the bigger settlement is. Also coefficient of consolidation is increased in inverse ratio to load increment ratio. Coefficient of permeability is increased in proportion to load increment ratio, it is not fixed changes by consolidation duration, however. Degree of consolidation is increased to load increment ratio.

Aging 효과에 따른 낙동강 모래의 비배수 전단거동 특성 (Characteristics of Undrained Shear Behavior for Nak-Dong River Sand Due to Aging Effect)

  • In this study, to observe aging effect of undrained shear behavior for Nak-Dong River sand, undrained static and cyclic triaxial tests were performed with changing relative density ($D_r$), consolidation stress ratio($K_c$) and consolidation time. As a result of the test, the modulus of elasticity to all samples estimated within elastic zone by the micro strain of about 0.05% in case of static shear behavior increased with the lapse of consolidation time significantly, so aging effect was shown largely. Also strength of phase transformation point(S_{PT}$) and strength of critical stress ratio point($S_{CSR}$) increased with the lapse of consolidation time. Undrained cyclic shear strength($R_f$) obtained from the failure strain 5% increased in proportion to relative density($D_r$) and initial static shear stress($q_{st}$), $R_f$ of consolidated sample for 1,000 minutes increased about 10.6% compared to that for 10 minutes at the loose sand, and $R_f$ increased about 7.0% at the medium sand. In situ application range of $R_f$ to the magnitude of earthquake for Nak-Dong River sand was proposed by using a increasing rate of $R_f$ as being aging effect shown from this test result.

  • 준설매립 및 연약지반 처리에 있어 압밀촉진 공법들에 대한 연구가 활발하다. 본 연구에서는 초음파를 사용하여 압밀촉진을 유발하고자 하였고 그 영향 정도를 실내실험을 통하여 조사하였다. 실내시험은 특별히 제작된 압밀시험기를 사용하였으며 압밀시험 중 초음파를 시료에 직접 가할수 있도록 고안되었다. 압밀시험 재료로는 원심력 시험기를 사용하여 원하는 조건에 맞는 동질의 시료를 제작하여 사용하였으며 초음파 강도, 처리 시간을 달리하여 시험을 실시하였다. 시험결과 초음파가 압밀에 미치는 영향은 큰 것으로 나타났으며 초음파 처리의 영향에 미치는 정도가 시험조건에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 이용하여 초음파에 의해 압밀촉진을 위한 공법개발의 가능성을 파악하였다.

피에조콘 소산시험시 지연소산이 발생한 경우에 대한 압밀계수 평가 방법 (Evaluation of Coefficient of Consolidation for Dilatory Dissipation Result of Piezocone Test)

  • For a commonly used piezocone with a shoulder filter element, dilatory dissipation behavior, which shows an initial temporary increase in pore pressure, has been observed in overconsolidated cohesive soils. However, there is no appropriate way to estimate a consolidation parameter from a dilatory dissipation curve because currently available interpretation methods were developed based on the monotonic decrease of the excess pore pressure. In this study, the interpretation method for evaluation of coefficient of consolidation from a dilatory dissipation result of piezocone test was developed by performing the finite difference analysis on the dissipation after cone penetration. The distribution of the initial excess pore pressure induced by cone penetration, which is the core of the analysis, was estimated from the empirical modification of a solution proposed by cavity expansion theory and critical state concept. And the proposed interpretation method was applied to the field piezocone data and the results were compared to those obtained from laboratory tests. Its reliability was confirmed by the insignificant difference between the values of coefficient of consolidation from piezocone tests and laboratory consolidation tests.

흙-벤토나이트 혼합물의 지반공학적 특성 (Geotechnical Properties of Soil-Bentonite Mixtures)

  • Iln order to figure out criteria of bentonite for using as impervious material of waste landfill, laboratory experiments were performed to reveal the geotechnical properties of soil-bentonite mixtures such as compaction test, direct shear test, unconfined compression test, triaxial compression test, consolidation test and permeability test. The results of the study are summarized as follows ; 1. Based on the compaction test, optimum moisture content increased with the increase of bentonite content, but maximum dry density decreased. 2. In unconfined compression test, the maximum strength of the soil-bentonite mixtures appeared at 10% bentonite content. The correlation equation between stress($\sigma$) and strain($\varepsilon$) of the soil-bentonite mixtures is given by ; $\sigma=\frac{a\cdot\varepsilon}{\varepsilon^n+b}$ 3. In shear test of the mixtures. the shear strength showed an increasing trend with increase of bentonite content and the maximum shear strength appeared at 10% bentonite content. 4. In consolidation test, the coefficient of compressibility $(a_v)$$(m_v)$$(C_v)$

시료채취에 의한 응력해방시 시료변형을 고려한 압밀시험 (Consolidation Test Method Considering Sample Deformation Due to Stress Release by Sampling)

  • 포화점토가 보오링공에서 불교란시료로써 채취되면, 부의 간극수압이 체적팽창을 억제한다. 이 점토시료에는 지반중에서 작용한 평균주응력이 등방적으로 작용하며, 이 평균주응력은 수직응력보다 작고, 수평응력보다 크다. 그러므로 시료는 비배수조건하에서 수직으로 늘어나고, 수평으로 수축하게 된다. 통상적인 압밀시험은 이와 같이 변형된 시료를 그대로 사용하여 압밀링 크기와 똑같이 성형한 후 수행한다. 따라서 지반중의 유효상재압이 재하되면, 이 압력이 수평응력보다 크기 때문에 압밀량이 늘어나게 된다. 즉 압밀시험공시체는 현장의 압밀거동을 정확하게 나타내지 못하고 항상 아래에 위치하게 된다. 이 논문에서는 상기와 같은 시료변형의 영향을 고려하여, 압밀시험 공시체에 유효상재압이 재하되었을때 수평방향으로 비배수 변형하여 압밀링 내경에 밀착해도록 하였다. 그리고 제안하는 시험법의 적용성과 결과를 통상적인 압밀시험결과와 검토하였다.

  • The determination of the pre-consolidation load known to have a great effect on the consolidation characteristics of the soil have been researched and discussed in detail by many other researchers. A study was undertaken to investigate and compare the effect of pre-consolidation loads on the coefficient of permeability and the consolidation characterisics of soil through the consolidation test on the three types of soil samples. The results of this study are follows; 1. Large compression index is dependent on initial void ratio of the sample being used and the pressure-void ratio curve shows a curved linear relationship in over-consolidated area but a linear relationship in normally consolidated area.2. Settlement-time curve is S-shaped where the pressure is larger than pre-consolidation load and regardless of over-burden pressure, it is a similar straight line respectively in the secondary consolidation area. 3. Primary consolidation ratio of the sample increases almost linearly with the increase of over-burden pressure but the coefficient of volume compressibility decreases linearly with the increase of it. 4. Time factor of a certain degree of consolidation increases with over-burden pressure but the coefficient of consolidation decreases with it in over-consolidated area. There is a linear relationship between them in normally consolidated area. 5. The void ratio of completion point of primary consolidation decreases linearly with over-burden pressure. 6. The coefficient of permeability of sample decreases linearly with over-burden pressure in normally consolidated area, also it increases linearly with increment of the void ratio of the sample.

  • A numerical study was performed to investigate characteristics of one-dimensional consolidation of soft clay. Results of consolidation tests with the remolded normally consolidation clay of having a very high initial void ratio were analyzed by using the numerical technique of finite difference method based on the finite strain consolidation theory, to evaluate consolidational characteristics of soft clay under surcharges on the top of clay. On the other hand, a numerical parametric study on soft clay consolidated due to its self-weight was also carried out to find its effect on one-dimensional consolidation. Terzaghi's conventional consolidation theory, finite strain consolidation theories with linear and non-linear interpolation of effective stress - void ratio - permeability relation were used to analyze the test results and their results were compared to each other to figure out the difference between them. Therefore, the validity of theories was assessed.
