관광객의 환경의식이 생태관광태도에 미치는 영향 (The Relationship between Tourist태s Environment Consciousness and Ecotourism Attitude)

  • Regarding to the ecotourism for environmental conservation, tourists's consciousness and attitude on environment should be dealt with importantly more than the mass tourism. The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of the tourist's environmental consciousness on the ecotourism attitudes. As a result, it was analysed that the more people had interested in environmental problems, positive activities in the environment, the more people had the ecotourism attitudes. This suggested that for development of the ecotourism, it were needed to change tourist's attitude to friendly environment, to make higher consciousness about environmental conservation.

Conceptual Design and Demonstration of Space Scale for Measuring Mass in Microgravity Environment

  • In this study, a new idea for developing a space scale for measuring mass in a microgravity environment was proposed by using the inertial force properties of an object to measure its mass. The space scale detected the momentum change of the specimen and reference masses by using a load-cell sensor as the force transducer based on Newton's laws of motion. In addition, the space scale calculated the specimen mass by comparing the inertial forces of the specimen and reference masses in the same acceleration field. By using this concept, a space scale with a capacity of 3 kg based on the law of momentum conservation was implemented and demonstrated under microgravity conditions onboard International Space Station (ISS) with an accuracy of ${\pm}1g$. By the performance analysis on the space scale, it was verified that an instrument with a compact size could be implemented and be quickly measured with a reasonable accuracy under microgravity conditions.

안동 옥동유적 출토 청동시(靑銅匙)의 미세조직 및 산지연구 (A Study of the Microstructure and Provenance Area of Bronze Spoons Excavated from the Ok-dong Site in Andong)

  • 경북 안동 옥동유적에서 출토된 청동유물 14점 중 청동시(靑銅匙) 5점을 대상으로 하여 ICP, 미세조직, TIMS 등의 과학적 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 청동시(靑銅匙)는 Cu- Sn 합금으로 Cu 75%이내, Sn 21~23%로 방짜유기에 해당되며, Pb, Fe, Zn 등이 미량성분으로 첨가되었다. 특히 납(Pb)은 0.04%의 미량으로 존재하는 것으로 보아 제련시 원광석에 포함된 불순물로 보인다. 청동시(靑銅匙)의 미세구조를 볼 때 청동시(靑銅匙)의 모양으로 골을 판 거푸집을 써서 주조한 다음 $586^{\circ}C$ 근방에서 가공하여 급랭한 것으로 추정된다. 열이온화질량분석(TIMS) 측정을 시행하여, 한국, 중국, 일본 납광석의 산지별 데이터 베이스에 대조해 봤을 때 청동시(靑銅匙)의 원료산지는 중국 남부의 납동위원소비와 유사함을 알 수 있다.

Analysis of Iron Production Technology of Army against Japanese through Slag from Saengsoegol Iron Production Site

  • Slag was collected from the iron-producing furnace site in Saengsoegol, Baegun mountain, where iron was manufactured by a righteous army against Japan in the Gwangyang region; then, the iron-manufacturing technique of the early modern period was investigated through scientific analysis. In the microstructure analysis results of the selected samples, iron bloom was mainly observed together with magnetite and fayalite. In the component analysis results of the compounds, it was confirmed that the furnace was built by using gangue of alkali feldspar or plagioclase series, and the ironmaking work was performed at a high temperature of at least 1050℃, because mullite was identified together with cristobalite and hercynite. Based on the chemical composition, it was speculated that low-grade iron ores were used as raw materials, and it seemed that the yield was low, because the total Fe content of the smelting slag samples was 37.72-49.93%. It was difficult to confirm whether a slag former was used, and it seemed that materials easily obtained nearby were used when the furnace was built, without considering the corrosion resistance. It appeared that the ironmaking work was performed at the Gwangyang Saengsoegol iron-producing furnace based on the direct ironmaking method in an environment that could escape the vigilance of the Japanese Empire to produce weapons that would be used for the resistance against Japan. It seemed that there was neither an advanced ironware production system nor a mass production system, and small-scale works were performed in short periods of time.

Numerical and statistical analysis of Newtonian/non-Newtonian traits of MoS2-C2H6O2 nanofluids with variable fluid properties

  • This study investigates the heat and mass transfer characteristics of a MoS2 nanoparticle suspension in ethylene glycol over a porous stretching sheet. MoS2 nanoparticles are known for their exceptional thermal and chemical stability which makes it convenient for enhancing the energy and mass transport properties of base fluids. Ethylene glycol, a common coolant in various industrial applications is utilized as the suspending medium due to its superior heat transfer properties. The effects of variable thermal conductivity, variable mass diffusivity, thermal radiation and thermophoresis which are crucial parameters in affecting the transport phenomena of nanofluids are taken into consideration. The governing partial differential equations representing the conservation of momentum, energy, and concentration are reduced to a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations using appropriate similarity transformations. R software and MATLAB-bvp5c are used to compute the solutions. The impact of key parameters, including the nanoparticle volume fraction, magnetic field, Prandtl number, and thermophoresis parameter on the flow, heat and mass transfer rates is systematically examined. The study reveals that the presence of MoS2 nanoparticles curbs the friction between the fluid and the solid boundary. Moreover, the variable thermal conductivity controls the rate of heat transfer and variable mass diffusivity regulates the rate of mass transfer. The numerical and statistical results computed are mutually justified via tables. The results obtained from this investigation provide valuable insights into the design and optimization of systems involving nanofluid-based heat and mass transfer processes, such as solar collectors, chemical reactors, and heat exchangers. Furthermore, the findings contribute to a deeper understanding of stretching sheet systems, such as in manufacturing processes involving continuous casting or polymer film production. The incorporation of MoS2-C2H6O2 nanofluids can potentially optimize temperature distribution and fluid dynamics.

충주 금릉동 쇠저울유적 출토 고려시대 유병의 유기물 분석 (Organic Residues Analysis of Oil Bottle of Goryeo Dynasty Excavated from the Soejeoul Site, Geumneung-dong, Chungju)

  • 유기잔존물(organic residues)은 동물이나 식물에서 유래된 생체분자(biomolecule)의 일부분으로 최근 과학적 분석을 통해 옛사람들의 생활모습 복원에 중요한 정보를 제공하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 충주 금릉동 쇠저울유적에서 출토된 고려시대 청자 유병의 내부 유기물을 규명하고자 과학적 분석을 수행하였다. 적외선 분광기(FT-IR)와 기체 크로마토그래프-질량 분석기(GC-MS)를 이용하여 분석한 결과 유병 내 유기물은 식물에서 유래된 기름(oil)으로 확인되었다. 특히 GC-MS 분석 결과에서 다가 불포화 지방산과 식물성 스테롤이 검출되었고 참깨 종자에서 확인되는 세사민(sesamin) 성분이 검출되었다. 세사민은 리그난(lignan) 계열의 항산화물질로 참깨의 특성 성분이다. 따라서 고려시대 유병 내부에 담겨 있던 유기물은 참깨와 관련된 물질로, 참깨유가 보관되었던 것으로 추정되었다.

세신 정유추출물의 목재부후균과 궐련벌레에 대한 항진균 및 살충활성 (Antifungal and Insecticidal Activity of Essential Oil from Asarum sieboldii against Wood Contaminant Fungi and Lasioderma serricorne L.)

  • 정유 상태의 세신(Asarum sieboldii) 추출물이 유기질 문화재 보존을 위한 천연 살생물제로써의 적합성 여부를 탐색하기 위하여 목재부후균과 궐련벌레에 대한 항진균활성 및 살충활성을 조사하였다. 목재부후균 4종에 대한 세신 정유추출물의 항진균활성($IC_{50}$)을 측정한 결과 $1.50{\sim}2.84{\mu}l/disc$으로 나타났으며, 이 중 L. lepideus에서 활성이 가장 우수하였다. 궐련벌레 성충에서는 50%(v/w)과 100%(v/w)의 농도로 처리했을 때 약 90% 이상의 살충활성을 보였다. 가스크로마토그래피-질량분석기를 이용하여 정유추출물의 성분을 분석한 결과 총 35종의 화학성분이 검출되었으며, 주성분은 methyleugenol(56.32%), eucarvone(11.53%), safrole(5.79%), ${\delta}$-3-carene(2.09%) 순으로 나타났다. 따라서 세신 정유추출물은 목재부후균과 궐련벌레 등 곤충에 의해 야기되는 생물학적 열화로부터 유기질 문화재를 보존할 수 있는 천연 살생물제로써 활용 가능성을 확인하였다.

춘천 중도 유적에서 출토된 원삼국시대 토기 탄착물에 대한 화학적 분석 (Organic Analysis of Charred Residues on the Pottery in the Proto-Three Kingdom from Joong-do Site, Chuncheon)

  • 춘천 중도 유적에서 출토된 원삼국시대 경질무문토기 내부의 탄화된 물질에 대한 화학적 분석을 실시하였다. 가스크로마토그래피-질량분석과 퓨리에변환적외선분광분석을 이용하여 부착물에서 유래한 유기물의 정성분석을 수행한 결과, 지방산, 스테롤 등 지방성분이 검출되지 않았다. 탄소와 질소 안정동위원소 분석 결과 부착물을 구성하고 있는 탄소 안정동위원소 비는 평균 $-14.7{\pm}2.8$‰ (-8.7‰~-18.4‰, n=9), 질소 안정동위원소 비는 평균 $6.2{\pm}1.1$‰(-4.4‰~-7.6‰, n=9)로 나타났는데 이 결과는 부착물이 조리된 음식물에서 유래되었음을 추정할 수 있는 과학적 근거라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구결과는 안정동위원소 분석을 조리용 토기 내 탄화된 잔존물 분석에 적용한 국내 첫 사례로서 당시의 토기 용도와 식생활 습관에 대한 중요한 정보를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Enthalpy transport in a pulse tube was investigated by two-dimensional analysis of mass, momentum and energy equations of the gas as well as energy conservation of the tube wall. The mean temperature of the gas and the tube wall was obtained directly by assuming that the outer surface of a pulse tube is adiabatic. Effects of operating frequency, tube wall thickness, velocity ratio and velocity phase angle between both ends of a pulse tube on net enthalpy flow were shown.

  • Based on the full Navier-Stokes solutions, the thermohydrodynamic performance of a long journal bearing is investigated. A numerical method based on Galerkin's procedure and B-spline test functions has been presented for solving two-dimensional problems involving fluid flow and heat transfer. For numerical stability the artificial compressibility is employed to the conservation of mass. The discretized algebraic equations are solved by Newton's method. Effects of varying the speed of an inner cylinder to load carrying capacity are investigated. The results indicated that the increase of the speed of an inner cylinder has a significant effect on the temperature profile and ultimately on the performance.
