In this paper, we focuses on the development of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy modeling in a nonlinear container crane system. A T-S fuzzy model is characterized by fuzzy "if-then" rules which represent the locally input-output relationship whose consequence part is described by a state space equation as subsystem. The T-S fuzzy model in container cranes first obtains a few number of linear models according to operation conditions and blends these conditions using fuzzy membership functions. Parameters of the membership functions are adjusted by a RCGA to have same dynamic characteristics with nonlinear system of a container crane. Simulations are given to illustrate the performance of T-S fuzzy model.

Modeling water flow in variably saturated, porous media is important in many branches of science and engineering. Highly nonlinear relationships between water content and hydraulic conductivity and soil-water pressure result in very steep wetting fronts causing numerical problems. These include poor efficiency when modeling water infiltration into very dry porous media, and numerical oscillation near a steep wetting front. A one-dimensional finite element formulation is developed for the numerical simulation of variably saturated flow systems. First order backward Euler implicit and second order Crank-Nicolson time discretization schemes are adopted as a solution strategy in this formulation based on Picard and Newton iterative techniques. Five examples are used to investigate the numerical performance of two approaches and the different factors are highlighted that can affect their convergence and efficiency. The first test case deals with sharp moisture front that infiltrates into the soil column. It shows the capability of providing a mass-conservative behavior. Saturated conditions are not developed in the second test case. Involving of dry initial condition and steep wetting front are the main numerical complexity of the third test example. Fourth test case is a rapid infiltration of water from the surface, followed by a period of redistribution of the water due to the dynamic boundary condition. The last one-dimensional test case involves flow into a layered soil with variable initial conditions. The numerical results indicate that the Crank-Nicolson scheme is inefficient compared to fully implicit backward Euler scheme for the layered soil problem but offers same accuracy for the other homogeneous soil cases.
This study attempted to find out that organizational culture and organizational support are the main factors of an effect on team, a kind of making unit of broadcasting programming, commitment. And especially this research tried out that each organizational culture type had an effect differently on team commitment using of Linear Structural Equation Modeling(LISREL). In order to empirically test to the research model, data were collected by 280 terrestrial Broadcasting PD in Seoul. Result showed that each organizational culture has a differential influence on the path and effect of organizational support and team commitment. The educational system and production back up of the Organizational support system have not enough to support and promote the team commitment except reward system. As a consequence, Broadcasting organization make a strategy considering of dominant organizational culture type.

The optimal identification algorithm of fuzzy systems is presented for rule-based fuzzy modeling of
nonlinear complex systems. Nonlinear systems are expressed using the identification of structure such as input
variables and fuzzy input subspaces, and parameters of a fuzzy model. In this paper, the rule-based fuzzy
modeling implements system structure and parameter identification using the fuzzy inference methods and
hybrid structure combined with two types of optimization theories for nonlinear systems. Two types of
inference methods of a fuzzy model are the simplified inference and linear inference. The proposed hybrid
optimal identification algorithm is carried out using both a genetic algorithm and the improved complex
method. Here, a genetic algorithm is utilized for determining initial parameters of membership function of
premise fuzzy rules, and the improved complex method which is a powerful auto-tuning algorithm is carried
out to obtain fine parameters of membership function. Accordingly, in order to optimize fuzzy model, we use
the optimal algorithm with a hybrid type for the identification of premise parameters and standard least square
method for the identification of consequence parameters of a fuzzy model. Also, an aggregate performance
index with weighting factor is proposed to achieve a balance between performance results of fuzzy model
produced for the training and testing data. Two numerical examples are used to evaluate the performance of
the proposed model.
A stochastic modeling approach as a mathematical method for workflow intelligence is widely used for analyzing and simulating workflow models in the literature. In particular, as a resource-centric modeling approach, this paper proposes a stochastic model to represent work-handover relationships between performers in a workflow-supported social network. Calculating probabilities for the work-handover relationships are determined by two types of probabilities. One is the work-transition probability between activities, and the other is the task assignment probability between activities and performers. In this paper, we describe formal definitions of stochastic workflow models and stochastic work-handover relationship models, as well. Then, we propose an algorithm for extracting a stochastic work-handover relationship model from a stochastic workflow model. As a consequence, the proposed model ought to be useful in performing resource-centric workflow simulations and model-log comparison analyses.
In the recent years, steel box girder bridges have been extensively used due to high bending stiffness, torsional rigidity, and rapid construction. Therefore, researches related to this girder bridge have been widely conducted. This paper investigates the effect of residual stresses and geometric imperfections on the load-carrying capacity of steel box girder bridges spanning 30 m and 50 m. A three - dimensional finite element model of the steel box girder with a closed section was developed and analyzed using ABAQUS software. Nonlinear inelastic analysis was used to capture the actual response of the girder bridge accurately. Based on the results of analyses, the superimposed mode of webs and flanges was recommended for considering the influence of initial geometric imperfections of the steel box model. In addition, 4% and 16% strength reduction rates on the load - carrying capacity of the perfect structural system were respectively recommended for the girders with compact and non-compact sections, whose designs satisfy the requirements specified in AASHTO LRFD standard. As a consequence, the research results would help designers eliminate the complexity in modeling residual stresses and geometric imperfections when designing the steel box girder bridge.

The modern development in design of airships and aerostats has led to unconventional configurations quite different from the classical ellipsoidal and spherical ones. This new class of air-vehicles presents a mass-to-volume ratio that can be considered very similar to the density of the fluid displaced by the vehicle itself, and as a consequence, modeling and simulation should consider the added masses in the equations of motion. The concept of added masses deals with the inertia added to a system, since an accelerating or decelerating body moving into a fluid displaces a volume of the neighboring fluid. The aim of this paper is to provide designers with the added masses matrix for more than twenty Lighter Than Air vehicles with unconventional shapes. Starting from a CAD model of a given shape, by applying a panel-like method, its external surface is properly meshed, using triangular elements. The methodology has been validated by comparing results obtained with data available in literature for a known benchmark shape, and the inaccuracies of predictions agree with the typical precision required in conceptual design. For each configuration, a CAD model and a related added masses matrix are provided, with the purpose of assisting the practitioner in the design and flight simulation of modern airships and scientific balloons.
The case for a massive black hole in the center of the Galaxy is reassessed using improved modeling techniques and observational data. A dark mass of ${\~}{\times} 10^6$ Mo is present within 0.2 pc of the Galactic center. However, the available data can be modeled, without appealing to a massive black hole, using an extended distribution of dark stellar remnants (neutron stars and stellar mass black holes) provided that the stellar initial mass function in the central parsec is deficient in stars less massive than $\~$1 Mo. Such a situation may be a natural consequence of repeated gas build-up followed by starbursts in the central region. A clear distinction between this and the massive central black hole model cannot be made using red giant tracers outside 0.2 pc due to uncertainties in the radial velocity dispersion distribution. The cluster of massive early-type emission-line stars in the central parcsec more effectively probe the mass distribution close to Sgr A $\ast$, but their small number and partial rotational support complicate mass determinations. Proper motion determinations for stars within 0.5' of Sgr A$\ast$ may be the most effective means of unambiguously determining the mass distribution in the immediate vicinity of the Galactic center.

Down scaled combustor undergoes increased heat loss that results in incomplete combustion or quenching of the flame as a consequence. Therefore, effect of enhanced heat loss should be understood to design a MEMS scale combustion devices. Existing combustion models are inadequate for micro combustors because they were developed for analysis of regular scale combustor where heat loss can be ignored during the flame propagation. In this research a combustion model is proposed in order to estimate the heat loss and predict quenching limit of flame in a down scaled combustor. Heat loss in the burned region is expressed in a convective form as a product of wall surface area, heat transfer coefficient and temperature difference. Comparison to the measurements showed satisfactory agreement of the pressure and temperature drop. Quenching is accounted for by introducing a correlation of quenching parameter and heat loss. The present model predicted burnt fraction of gases with reasonable accuracy and proved to be applicable in thermal design of a micro combustor.

The generation of fuzzy rules is inevitable in order to construct fuzzy modeling and in general, has the problem that the number of rules increases exponentially with increasing dimension. To solve this problem, we introduce the system that generate the fuzzy rules and make a inference based on FCM clustering algorithm that partition the input space in the scatter form. The parameters in the premise part of the fuzzy rules is determined as membership matrix by the FCM clustering algorithm and the consequence part of the fuzzy rules is are expressed as a polynomial function. Proposed model evaluated using the numerical data.
